We had an amazing experience working with Bruno to plan our trip to Rio, Iguazu Falls, and the Amazon. From start to finish, he was professional, responsive, and attentive to every detail. Bruno always replied quickly to our questions and made sure all our requests were fulfilled — from hotel preferences to excursions and transfers. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt well taken care of throughout the entire trip.

We truly appreciated his organization and friendly communication. Highly recommend Bruno for anyone planning a trip to Brazil!

The itinerary of the trip was unbelievable and Shona planned the trip of a lifetime…in the final analysis that is all that matters! We did have some minor challenges along the way which are worth mentioning to provide constructive feedback for next client. These include 1. Major issues w web site …after over a year of planning, the itinerary was dropped and had to be rebuilt. Our friends could not at first pay final payment because business office had no record of trip! We were never able to get two distinct trip plans….for example new plan did not reflect free meals at hotel in Hakone which was on earlier version ( although Shona eventually included). Minor issue but only 2 tee shirts provided at Christmas although 4 people traveling and paying money. Sometimes communication was challenging. Zoom calls did not work, for example. Shona worked really hard and generally available at all hours of day, leading us to worry that she might have needed more help from team. We learned the hard way that asking for extra steps, such as tickets to a tennis tournament, could be so challenging to not be worth the effort on the part of all. This I suspect is a function of the complex nature of Japan. The web site was confusing. Changes made in chat section not always accurately updated in trip plans, leading to some confusion, such as not knowing when rides to train would show up, location for foodie tour meet up spot was wrong, so spent an hour waiting in pouring rain to finally meet guide, etc. For the most part, these challenges were limited in number and guides, train tickets,etc. all worked like clockwork. Hotels were great, with exception of last night in Tokyo..room was so small it was hard for my husband and I to even move around free space. Your last night before a long journey home you really want to start w a good night’s sleep so that was disappointing. The hotels were in great locations and high quality, however, although the lake hotel in Nikko was far from town so long taxi rides for bike tour. In retrospect, we are still glad we stayed there as it was a very unique experience and the other choices would not have been as good. We had 4 guides that were over the top and made our experiences especially wonderful… we bonded so well with them that it was hard to say goodbye ( Tokyo, Kyoto, Nikko bike trip, and Nara transfer). All guides were good, but it was clear which ones were doing it to pick up extra money while in school, for example, versus having a true passion. We did not like the tours where you had to pay entrance fees yourself, such as with Kanazawa tours. For the most part, the itinerary did a great job ( with help of guides ) of avoiding crowds during high traffic season, which was greatly appreciated . The main exception was Tokyo sky tower on Sunday afternoon—- 2 hrs of lines and so crowded on top hard to take in view.

In summary, what I really liked about the trio was attention to making experiences unique, and not touristy, so we felt we really could experience the real Japan. The private guides did that, as well special events such as country bike trip in Nikko, monastery stay in Koyasan, geisha tea house ceremony, Nara deer interactions, visit to ancient home in third town on Shirakawago day trip, Kimono museum in Mt Fuji, etc. Please don’t take the comments above as taking away from the incredible service we got from Shona. This was not a cookie cutter trip to a very busy tourist site… it was well planned, unique, creative, flowed well and a great collaborative effort between ourselves and our guide!,

WE had several guides throughout our trip. Vivianna was very knowledgeable and thorough. The lunch at the tortoise reserve was quite outstanding, Edwin was also very knowledgeable, considerate of the age range of our group and a watchful eye during our snorkeling adventure! David was with us for a full plus day touring the Historical District and Middle earth. Again he was very aware of or different ages and capabilities. I think he knew everything about everything Ecuadorian!!
Our trip was challenging because weather delays were responsible for 2 lost days. Maria Jose had to rearrange flights and hotel rooms. She put a best effort forward. She arranged for our lost luggage to be delivered to our hotel in Puerto Arroya! We were all pretty sure we would never see that luggage again. Thank you Majo!!

Incredible! It almost felt too easy before we left, so I was feeling nervous. But Minh had every detail scheduled and then Thuy would message us the day before a transfer with details about a driver, car or flights. We had an incredible time exploring Hanoi and the north area of Vietnam (shoutout to our guide Ha), then Ha Long Bay on a cruise (Dragon Legend), and finally down to Phu Quoc for a beach retreat at Grand Ocean Bay Resort.

If you are on the fence about Vietnam or using kimkim, just do it!

Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with very friendly people. The trip had a nice blend of Tours and trekking. My guide, AJ, did a great job of giving me options for each day. I was even able to hike up Adams Peak!

Alden with get to know Belize was a great guide. Very knowledgeable. Jeffrey lead us during the snorkeling and was also great.

The trip was absolutely amazing! The Almond Beach Resort's beachfront cottages were as advertised--large rooms with doors that opened up to the ocean, friendly staff, and great service. Aldean was a perfect guide for us on the Mayan Ruins and Snorkeling excursions. He was friendly, informative, and made the experiences memorable.

I have to give Alex and Lilia a huge amount of credit for organizing and preparing this trip--they were attentive to our requests and maintained a regular dialogue throughout the process. When we got off the plane into Belize City, Lilia met us outside and told me that there were refreshments in the van for our 1.5 hour drive to Hopkins--this just made us all smile! We loved driving with Camron who used the trips to engage us and tell us about Belize.

I have used KimKim before and based on this trip, will keep going back!

Our girls trip to Morocco was truly the experience of a lifetime! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. Yassine did such an amazing job — he responded quickly, was so easy to work with, and took care of every detail. The hotels and riads he chose were beautiful, comfortable, and full of Moroccan charm.
Our driver, Younes, was incredible! He was always on time every morning, looked out for us everywhere we went, and made us feel safe and comfortable the entire trip. He wasn’t just a driver — he was a tour guide, translator, and a friend. His knowledge about Morocco, sense of humor, and positive energy made every day so much fun. He was a big part of what made this trip special.
In Fes, we met our guide Zahra who was fantastic! She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and funny — we laughed with her all day. It honestly felt like we had known her for years. She had such a special way of connecting with us and bringing the city’s history to life. Spending the day with her was one of the highlights of our trip.
The entire experience went above and beyond our expectations. Everything ran smoothly, we felt cared for every step of the way, and we left Morocco with unforgettable memories and new friends. I can’t recommend this company enough.

We recently completed a cultural tour of Mongolia and had an amazing time. We went to Mongolia outside the peak period at the onset of winter but Crystal managed to put together an amazing itinerary over 13 days.

We travelled to west to stay with Kazak eagle hunters and to the north to stay with the Tsaatan reindeer herders. We also saw natural wonders including the Lake Khovsgol, Jargant river and the wild Takhi horses. A visit to Mongolia wouldn’t be complete without historical sites and memorials

Our guide, Zaya, was excellent, working overtime to make sure we were always comfortable. Zaya’s historical and cultural knowledge were an essential part of the immersive experience.

Travelling in rural Mongolia can be challenging given the sparse landscape and weather conditions. However, Zaya worked tirelessly with our drivers and the local communities to ensure our tour always went smoothly and without issues.

I would definitely recommend a trip to Mongolia with Crystal for anyone looking for an adventurous experience wrapped in a premium tour.

Greece was a wonderful experience. Santorini was fabulous. Vasilios was an incredible guide, so knowledgeable so charming and took us to very interesting places the windmills the seaside, the caves and his knowledge of history was exemplary! Athens: parthenon, wonderfulof course; archaeological museum with our guide Effie superb. she hit all the highlights in just over an hour. Plaka was fun for shopping and grab some incredible bargains for gifts.. Zakinthos was fun bc we had friends there .The Bitzaro Hotel was goodroom was lovely but bathroom lighting was sparse and the bathroom door had to be completely closed before you could access the commode. The Athena Riviera was fabulous. It’s unfortunate that we had to get up at 3 AM and we didn’t arrive there until after 10 and we hadn’t eaten fortunately superb restaurants were 5 to 10 minutes away and we could order in. Perhaps a hotel that wasn’t a 30 minute drive from the airport would be a better choice next time or this would be fine if we had more time to enjoy it. I hear the breakfasts are superb! All in all a wonderful trip.

Our Beautiful Patagonia adventure was outstanding from start to finish. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed, perfectly balancing guided excursions with free time to explore. Every destination—Puerto Natales, and El Calafate—offered incredible scenery, excellent accommodations, and smooth logistics throughout. Though we didn't get to complete El Chaltén due to unexpected weather (wind) advisory, I'm sure it would have been just as well thought out.

The guided hikes in Torres del Paine were unforgettable, especially the trek to Mirador Base Las Torres and the French Valley. The Perito Moreno Glacier ice hike was another once-in-a-lifetime highlight. Each guide was knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about sharing Patagonia’s beauty and culture. Our driver was also intregal though out our trip.

Jimena, Rae, Erin and the Dittmar Adventures team were exceptional—responsive, organized, and attentive to every detail. Thanks to them, our group of 13 had a seamless and truly memorable experience. Highly recommend this itinerary for anyone wanting to explore the best of Patagonia with expert local support.

Doris created a wonderulf experience for my friend and I in Vietnam and Cambodia in October. Our guide Brian in Hanoi was so thorough and helpful in giving us a sense of the city. As well Richard in Ho Chi Minh City shared great information on the history of the area as well as what life is like now Mai in Sapa was a lovely guide showing us around the villages where we were able to see artisans at work as well as wayward water buffaloes. Lena so graciously shared history of Phenom Penh that was difficult and important to hear and see. Finally Dara in Siem Reap was a superb guide giving us a sense of Angkor Wat, the floating villages and other temples. The food was great especially the wonderful XO food tour at night in Ho Chi Minh City. It was an experience I will never forget! Thanks so much!

This was such an amazing trip. First of all, Lucy was incredible. Very responsive. Very helpful. She was always happy to answer my questions, even as I was trying to figure out packing. It was possible that with the storms going on we could have had major stress, but Lucy always was calm and informative, making us feel completely comfortable with all of our plans.
I usually plan my trips myself. Due to some stresses at home and work, I just wasn't in the mental space to try to figure out Vietnam. There just were so many options. So I reached out, hoping to get help. And I am so glad I did. I was able to just go with the flow. All of our local guides were super nice and kind. Our drivers were excellent. I learned so much about the history and culture of Vietnam. I definitely want to go back and would work with Lucy again.
My only advice when working with your KimKim guide - trust them. They are on the ground and see exactly what is going on. I could have cancelled and tried to rearrange our trip when there was the typhoon coming to Hoi An the first day we were supposed to be there (plus flooding earlier.) I was in constant contact with Lucy and she was able to give me the updates and we ended up keeping with the plans. And after a bit of high winds and rain the first day, everything cleared up. Trying to change the plan would have been really difficult and expensive, and when Lucy said she thought we'd be okay, we trusted her. And she was talking to Sam, our guide in the Hoi An region, who knew exactly what was going on. And so we kept with the plan and everything was great. Just having Lucy to help us navigate this whole thing was the most valuable part of the service.

We had a wonderful time in Rome, Naples, Sorrento and exploring the Amalfi Coast for our 1 year anniversary!
A big thank you to Melanie and her team for arranging reliable and friendly private transfers to each city as well as some very nice excursions!
Their communication via whatsapp was helpful and clear, and we didn't have any issues along the way except for a longer wait at the Salerno train station, but that was due to the transfer company advising we give extra time for the drive from Praiano due to traffic etc. So we were well taken care of and had an incredible vacation!

KimKim is Amazing! We just completed a multi-week trip in Spain and Portugal. We asked Adam, our local specialist, to plan a highlights tour for us through these countries, which we had never visited. He selected great hotels and terrific tours. We especially liked the transfers between airports, train stations, hotels, and other places. Adam listened to what we wanted and he delivered, big time!

During our trip, we had a few unexpected events, including rail and port worker strikes. The KimKim team, including Lea and Summer, were awesome. They responded incredibly fast to our messages and quickly made changes as necessary, including a last minute transfer between cities when the rail workers in Portugal went on strike.

We will definitely use KimKim for future travel needs.

Vicky was amazing. She planned such a spectacular trip with a great variety of adventures and just the right amount of free days. Her recommendations were helpful in finding relaxing walks and good food. Vicky even stepped in when one of our flights was canceled to reschedule a group tour to another day so that we could still attend.

Jessica created a wonderful tour for us in Korea. We were met at the airport and guided throughout our stay which made this so very easy and not the least bit stressful. This was our first time having a private tour and I highly recommend it. One guide we had, Michael was especially impressive. He took us to visit historical sights, villages and the must see street food markets in Seoul. Jessica arranged our transportation on the high speed train to Busan for a few nights and that was amazing as well. I would not hesitate to use Kimkim travel in the future, they truly make touring a seamless experience, well worth the cost!
