This photography trip to England and Ireland was our third personalized trip arranged by the KimKim Team, which speaks to our satisfaction with their service. The KimKim Team was extremely accommodating and their local agent, Svetlana Frolova, worked with us for a customized trip that met or exceeded our expectations. Together we agreed on the itinerary , dates and days for each leg of the trip, types of hotels and B&Bs we wanted to stay at, special options to experience the local culture, and the best photographic scenery to see. She arranged for us to have a car and driver for the Ireland portion of the trip. We experienced the best Irish music in Ireland today, visited an oyster fam and ate fresh oysters right out of the sea, and rode through the Gap of Dunloe in an open horse-pulled cart, during which we were regaled with local lore and stories by the cart driver. The boutique hotels either were of interesting historical importance or were long-time family-run businesses that added a personal touch to their hospitality. Our driver, Roger O’Connor, was a real professional, who had driven the highways and byways of Ireland for years from Dublin to Galway and North. He was a wonderful conversationalist, knowledgeable in the area’s hidden charms, small out of the way beautiful sights, and best restaurants and pubs in each town or city. We are sure to be traveling again in the future with KimKim.

We had a fantastic trip! This was my first time booking a trip with an online agent and I was a bit nervous but everything went really really well. Hotels were fantastic. All guides were great. Some of our tours even included museums or galleries we didn’t even realize were included, making for an awesome once in a lifetime trip for our family. Every transition from day trip drivers to train or water taxi transfers went perfectly. The local representative was responsive throughout and helpful with a handful of real time hiccups. Truly no complaints and would definitely book again.

Family Experience: Vatican Tour for Kids

Guide was great. It was really hot and crowded the day of our tour and our 5 year old was worn out from the Papal audience in the morning, but our guide (Gaia) tried really hard to keep him engaged and it was sweet. Obviously in 2 hours it’s not possible to do an in depth tour of the Vatican museum and St. Peter’s but it was a great overview. As Catholics who wanted to pass through the Holy Door for the Jubilee and have time to pray in the Basilica, we appreciated that Gaia explained all of the info we needed to have these special moments with our children.

Really cool to see the castle and the aqueduct, the church, and the Roman amphitheater. Guide did a nice job asking us our priorities and giving us a feel for town and its history. Enjoyed a gelato break at the end.

Day Trip to Siena & San Gimignano

Both cities were neat. We especially like San Gimignano. Climbed the tower and had incredible views. Only negative was such a short time in both. Winery tour with lunch was so lovely. Again, perhaps too much for one day but otherwise really nice. We did end up paying for an extra hour with the driver to have more time in Siena. It may have been nice to go through this schedule a little more with us in advance - we probably would have requested a guide and the extra time beforehand. We still enjoyed it but quite a busy day.

It was a bit stressful that drivers took us to the wrong Ferrari museum. We appreciated the local representative calling the museum and making the F1 simulator work out even though we arrived well after 2 of our time slots. We have a teen who is a huge F1 fan, so we were glad to make the trip. However, if you are not a Ferrari fanatic I would not recommend the detour.

This was our third trip to Italy using our Travel Agent Giulia with Liberty Travel through KimKim. She has hit it out of the park each time! All three of our trips that Giulia has planned for us have been excellent. She has great insights and recommendations for places to stay, places to eat, things to do and things to see! We wouldn't want to travel throughout Italy without her guidance. She truly loves what she does and has made our vacations to Italia the best possible! We have now travelled to Venice, Lake Como, Florence, Tuscany, Rome, Naples, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. Each excursion, place to stay and activity has been so well planned and thought out! Robi curated an excellent itinerary for us in Croatia! His communication skills were top notch and he was very skillful in creating an itinerary that the whole group enjoyed. We started in Split and ended in Dubrovnik. The trip was seamless and the drivers were set up as well as the tour guides. Everyone was extremely professional and it’s clear that his team is committed to providing only the best and highest quality in service. A few of the highlights included a traditional Mediterranean cooking class in Split, a private beach club in Hvar overlooking turquoise water, evening sunset cocktails on top of a fortress in Korcula, wine tasting on the Pejesac peninsula, finishing up with a private tour in Dubrovnik and lastly our favorite was a full day private boat tour of the Elaphiti Islands! We can’t say enough about how professional Robi was in his daily communications as well as working with our budget and being flexible with the group needs!!! Last, it was clear how every guide that he works with really loves their home country and was so passionate in sharing their history with us!

The Valamar Collection Dubrovnik President Hotel was really nice and stood out as one of the highlights of my trip. The room was super spacious, which was a welcome comfort after staying in smaller hotels. It was particularly nice to enjoy the space after living out of a suitcase for a while. The amenities were excellent, with a pool and beach access. The availability of a gym and a spa center where amenities like the sauna and whirlpool were free of charge made it perfect for some downtime and relaxation.

Amandine was excellent.
We spent a wonderful week in Switzerland. Thanks to her expertise we had a Swiss passport and were able to ride all of the trains and boats whenever we needed to.
She handpicked the hotels that were great and a good breakfast to start the day.
She had tours lined up with vouchers for each day. The top of Europe tour was great with the ice tunnels and ice sculptures. Everything was well organized and fun. She always had resteraunt suggestions and extra activities to do.
We had a great time exploring and paragliding over lake Geneva!

I couldn’t have asked for a more well thought out itinerary! Caterina took care in planning both where we stayed, as well as what was planned each day, making the trip pretty perfect. Our sister adventure to Ireland was special in every way. Our specialist Claire, listened to our interests and packed in so many things we loved. We loved the independent driving and free time we had to explore, along with very well-planned and well-timed booked experiences. The flow of the itinerary and timing was amazing---so we were always able to arrive in destinations on time and explore. We loved our drive around Dingle with Aodan, and our drive in northern Ireland with James, who even "went off course" at our request to go find ancestors in rural Derry. Also, the cab tour in Belfast was eye-opening and had so many personal touches and stories to bring it to life. And the weather was so perfect to top it all off.

This was such a fun day and we learned so much! Matthew and Luca were perfect hosts. They educated us about oyster farming and all the steps it takes to bring a yummy oyster to your table. In addition, we ate amazing oysters and mussels. We had a wonderful and insightful walking tour with a very enthousiastic female guide(I think her name was Dani?) in Lisbon. Everyone was so friendly, from the hotel employees, the chauffeurs , shops, etc.
Our day trip to Sintra was nice, but cut short because of some health issues. Fortunately our guide was very helpful finding a solution.
Cascais I must admit was a little disappointing. I thougt it would be a lovely beach city but it looked like Miami beach.
The roadtrip to Porto was nice with stops in Nazare and the gorgeous little medieval town of Obidos.
Porto can’t be missed on a trip to Portugal. What a wonderful city where I wished to have stayed longer then 2 nights.
The highlight of our trip was definitely on the vineyard with a fantastic boutique hotel!! The sights were absolutely beautiful and we did not want to go anywhere else, just sitting there and enjoying a glass of wine and the beautiful sight!
The staff were more than friendly and very helpful. The chef’s dinner was the cherry on the pie!
The 6 hour drive to Evora was too long and although a nice village, not really worth the long drive.
Overall Portugal was really worth the visit and the people were very friendly and everyone spoke English.

We asked for an authentic Finland experiences and We had just that. It’s an amazingly beautiful country.
We really loved all the places we visited in Southern Finland and the Lakeland area.
Our guides in Turku, Tempère, and Rantasalmi were so accommodating and knowledgeable.
We especially enjoyed our Sauna experience with Matti.
The only snag was our rental car experience with Finn- Rent with pickup and drop off. Poor communication and difficult/ confusing drop off experience.
They could improve their customer service.
The car itself etc. was comfortable and reliable.

Anna Marie is so knowledgeable about Finnish history and her strong connection to Turku. It was a rainy morning but we had a full tour. The hotel has well made umbrellas and the rain was not an issue. The tour does take more than 1.5 hours - realistically 2-2.5 hours and we walked fairly quickly with some inclines. Wear supportive sneakers!

We have traveled around the world but our visit to Japan was one of our best trips so far. We have seen so many wonderful sites, both man-made and nature-made, that have exceeded our expectation. From a beautiful and very modern cities of Tokyo and Osaka through more traditional places such as Kanazawa and Kyoto, we experienced the new styles and ways of living with the old traditions. We will never forget the skyscrapers of Tokyo and Osaka and their amazing skylines and vibrant night life. But also, we will always remember the honesty and openness of people who helped us navigate the subway and train system in many cities. What surprised me the most were the lavish and green forests with many familiar and unfamiliar species of flora and fauna. We enjoyed hiking the Old Takayama Road with an amazing views of Mount Fuji, taking a boat trip across a lake in Hakone, visiting many Japanese gardens and learning the skills of making the matcha tea, ramen noodles and sushi.
The food was superb in every place we visited. The sweetness of strawberries that we bought at the local markets was the highlight of our culinary experiences. Although we wish that some of our hotels were in a better localizations or the rooms were a bit bigger, Simon tried to solve the problems and provided solutions to our satisfaction.
Our tour guides, specifically Slash and Johnny were superb! We enjoyed Johnny’s sense of humor and Slash’s gentle and patient guidance!
All of our drivers were courteous, prompt and punctual. Thank you!

Our trip to Portugal was organised by Adam- he did a fantastic job! The Zoom catch up before our trip began gave us the opportunity to run through our itinerary and ask any questions. The tours that we had booked were fun and hassle free. When we had a tour cancelled, we were notified promptly and offered something similar. Our drivers were punctual ,friendly, and knowledgeable. The hotels we stayed in were unique and definitely suited our style. Communication with the team at kimkim was efficient and we were kept in the loop at all times. I was hesitant to use a travel company as I usually organise our travel myself but not knowing much about Portugal and wanting a stress free end to our holiday, I decided to take a leap of faith with kimkim. It definitely paid off and I would not hesitate to recommend the team at kimkim if you are looking for a tailor made travel itinerary.

We had an incredible experience in Peru! Everything from tours, transportation and accommodations were seamless and absolutely amazing! We didn’t realize how many guides and drivers we would come in contact with. Keep notes along the way. I wish we could thank each and every one of them. Davit was an incredible tour guide in the Sacred Valley. He met up with us again for a Cusco city tour. Jacquelyn was an amazing guide in Machu Picchu. We highly recommend the Duna Camp “glamping” experience. As you’re making your way to Machu Picchu, you must stay a couple of nights in Tambo del Inka in Urubamba. It’s an incredible resort with an awesome spa. If you visit between June 9-28, you will have the opportunity to enjoy cultural celebrations throughout the highlands. It was an AMAZING vacation! Peru is a beautiful country that we will encourage all our friends and family to visit. Thank you Liz for organizing this amazing trip for us!

You MUST visit this resort when staying in the Sacred Valley. It was incredible! The resort is beautiful inside and out. Do yourself a favor and visit the spa. I had the 90 minute Kallpa massage with Marilia. It was the absolute best massage I have ever had! Don’t skip this one.

We returned from glamping in Huacachina to the airport hotel. We are so happy we were so close to the airport. We had a morning flight to Cusco. Traffic is insane in Lima.

What an incredible experience! It’s a must when you visit Peru! Dune buggy rides, sand tubing and sand boarding are all part of the experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We enjoyed our wine tasting and tour of Tacama Winery. The grounds are beautiful. It was the perfect stop before boarding a five-hour bus ride back to Lima. Highly recommend.

This is an ABSOLUTE MUST when visiting Peru! The five-hour bus ride from Lima was very comfortable and definitely worth it. The experience includes glamping plus dune buggies, sand tubing, and sand boarding. Do not skip this experience!

Our eight day trip through Croatia was spectacular. Can say enough good things about Bruno who set up EVERYTHING for us. He arranged wonderful accommodations, made suggestions for different sites to see while touring and stayed in contact with us daily to ensure safe travelling. Had wonderful tours in Split with Mia and another great tour with Ana in Dubrovnik. These tours were very personal in that it was just my family and the guide. My wife and I loved working with Kimkim so much that we have already booked a vacation with them to Greece in October. Kimkim has incredible customer service.
