I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a trip to Norway that was nothing short of extraordinary, all thanks to Kimkim agency and our exceptional travel partner, Mathia. From the very beginning, Mathia listened intently to my goals and crafted an itinerary that I could have never planned myself.

The trip included special, hard-to-get reservations at Flor & Flaer, and three iconic guided hikes that were simply breathtaking. Mathia spent more than a year meticulously planning this trip, and not only was it perfect, but he also provided a personal touch every step of the way.

One instance that truly stood out was when I injured my knee on the descent of Trolltunga. Mathia called me at 9 PM to check on me and ensure I was okay. His dedication and care were evident throughout the entire journey.

I couldn't recommend Mathia and Kimkim enough for planning the perfect trip to Norway. Having an insider like Mathia plan this trip made it incredibly special, with amazing boutique hotels and unwavering support every step of the way. It was truly the trip of a lifetime.

I can't thank Mathia enough for his expertise and kind support from the beginning to the end! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Pulpit Rock Classic Summer Hike
Pulpit Rock Classic Summer Hike

I recently embarked on a hike to Pulpit Rock, and it was an adventure like no other. We chose the much more challenging, less-traveled route, which included a canoe trip, scrambling up boulders, and a very long trek. The guides were fantastic and ensured our safety throughout the journey. I must admit, I was terrified at times, not because of my fitness level (although I am 54), but because the route was dangerous at certain points. However, the guides were always there to ensure my safety and provide support. Despite the challenges, it was an incredible experience. That said, I would probably opt for the Nepalese Sherpa stairs next time for a less daunting experience. Nonetheless, this hike was unforgettable, and I highly recommend it for those seeking an adventurous and thrilling journey.

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a guided hike of Trolltunga, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Joe, was absolutely fantastic. He was not only fun and engaging but also incredibly supportive throughout the hike. As someone with 54-year-old knees, the descent was particularly challenging for me. Joe was there every step of the way, helping me safely navigate the trail and providing much-needed encouragement. His assistance was invaluable, and he ensured that we didn't miss the last bus to P2. I highly recommend this guided hike and can't thank Joe enough for making it such a memorable and enjoyable adventure.

You have been so brave despite the bad weather, the injured knee, and the challenging but rewarding hikes you have experienced. Those memories will last forever, especially because you were together in this.
My support and care cannot be considered part of the job, but more like a mutual help between friends. I am very grateful for that. I hope you will visit this country again, maybe with family or friends, and I would be honored to meet you in Northern Norway, where eagles fly and Northern Lights dance in a sky full of stars. If weather helps. ;) We keep in touch.

We saved our best excursion for last. This all day boat tour was absolutely incredible and our boat captain, The "Fonz" was super fun and made the trip memorable. Hand made sandwiches and snacks on the way around the coast to a stop at Amalfi where we had an hour to shop and experience the area. Then, on to Positano for an hour for more exploring. After that we anchored and had a leisurely 45 minutes swimming and relaxing in the Sea off the coast of Positano. Continuing back we stopped at blue grotto where we fed the fish. The very best part of our trip!

We enjoyed the planned events and having the flexibility to just take a rest day when needed. The Wilder Hotel was a great way to start the trip and the walking tour of Dublin with Mary McCarty was a wonderful way to spend our first day in Ireland. The train ride to Galway was relaxing and smooth. Bit of a hiccup with the local taxi driver and the directions for finding the taxi pickup but we weathered through and enjoyed Galway.

Picked up the rental car from Europecar in Galway and headed to Connemarra and Kylemore Abbey, the car completely went dead and as our good karma would have it we were able to limp the car off the rural road into the town of Oughterard. Nic was on call for Routescapes and let me tell you, he saved our minds! Took about three hours for the mechanic to come, but we got it sorted and picked up a another rental the following morning.

The Cliffs of Moher was stunning and the ride to Monks Ballyvaughan was stunning and what a gem that spot is! The driving was beautiful and lovey stops along the way. The Ring of Kerry was a bit rainy but by the time we got to the Ladies View, sun came out and we were treated to double rainbows! Kenmare was great spot and we took a total rest day there and shopped and relaxed.

Molly Gallivan's experience was a real treat, the husband and wife who operate that are top shelf! We would recommend that little stop to anyone who is close to Kenmare. Cork was a bit busy for our liking, but now we know, the hotel was brilliant. And the final night at the Kilkea Castle was spot on! We took time to walk the grounds and relax in the therapy pools.

The drivers and transfers from airport to hotel to airport were good, punctual and without any problems.

We had 3 guides, each one in their own style was very good, attentive, helpful and sharing their country and culture. But I want to highlight our guide in Busan: Jade Kim, her service, her accent, her knowledge, her energy, her suggestions, her guidance, everything was excellent!

Also our master chef in Busan with the cooking class: hee-young Jang, excellent, fun, her space very nice.

And at the end the locals (agency) give us a very nice present from Korea, big thanks!

It is the first time I use Kimkim's service and I will definitely make future plans with them.

Sepilok was amazing - our guide Rosman was super friendly and knowledgeable - we got really lucky and saw lots of orangutans and sunbears.

Libarian island - we went here in place of Selingan island as it was booked up. The trip out to the island was great and the island itself was very peaceful! We didn’t see any turtles but did release some babies which was super special! The accommodation was basic but perfect. The only thing I would note here is that the guide we had, while lovely, didn’t really seem too interested in engaging with us or the group outside of when he had too.

We had a great trip and very much appreciated the work of Claire and kimkim. Our trip needed to be postponed because of a pilot strike at the last minute. We did need to pay some fees, but we did not need to do any of the work. Things that were chosen fit us well. We loved to see so many sites and have a chance to visit with relatives on this trip.

I particularly enjoyed going to the pubs in Galway and hearing some Irish music, seeing the Cliffs at Kilkee (the Cliffs of Moher could be skipped in my opinion once we walked at Kilkee - many fewer tourists there and a nice restaurant to have breakfast, lunch or a snack at the base), and touring Guinness. We had nice accommodations that fit our budget. We got good recommendations for things to see in Dublin.

If you can find a way to get off the beaten path to meet locals, please do so. I had the wonderful opportunity to visit with cousins I knew and meet some cousins I did not know. They showed us where my ancestors came from and the beauty of the Knockmealdown Mountains where Johnny Cash was inspired to write is song - Forty Shades of Green. Ancestry research had been done by relatives and I will never forget walking in their footsteps.

I’m glad you enjoyed the Cliffs at Kilkee—it's a hidden gem, and your comparison with the Cliffs of Moher is spot on. The tranquility and charm of Kilkee, especially during peak season, offer a more intimate and equally breathtaking experience.

It’s heartwarming to know that visiting with your relatives and walking in your ancestors' footsteps made your journey even more special. The beauty of the Knockmealdown Mountains and the connection to Johnny Cash's "Forty Shades of Green" must have been truly inspiring.

Our 8-day vacation in Spain, meticulously planned by KimKim, was nothing short of amazing! From the vibrant streets of Bilbao to the charming coastal vibes of San Sebastián, the bustling energy of Madrid, the artistic allure of Valencia, and the historical beauty of Toledo, every moment was unforgettable.

The guided tours were all top-notch, with special highlights including the breathtaking Guggenheim Museum and the delicious Pintxos and Wine experiences. The Segway Adventure added a fun twist to our exploration of Valencia. A special shoutout goes to our tour guide for the Madrid Old Town Walk—his passion and knowledge truly brought the history and culture of the city to life!

All our transportation was seamless, making it easy to move from one city to the next without a hitch. And the accommodations? They were far beyond what we expected. We had asked for something affordable and safe since we don't typically spend much time in hotels during vacations, but KimKim exceeded our expectations with each place we stayed—comfortable, well-located, and perfect for our needs. And KimKim was always available by chat if we hadca question or doubt, but mostly I texted just to share how impressed we were.

We couldn’t be happier with the experience and will definitely be turning to KimKim again for future adventures. Thank you for making our trip to Spain a dream come true! We headed to Germany next for the Ironman Triathlon, and I successfully crossed the finish line!!

We were delayed I getting our trip to Scotland lined up but we lucked out with Tetiana as our advisor. She prepared an amazing trip for us. We experienced a few challenges - one of them a passport left in a hotel safe! We solved most of it ourselves but she followed up with both hotels for us. She chose great hotels for us. We stayed at the Virgin Hotel in Edinburgh, Kingsmills in Inverness, Clan MacDuff in Fort William, the Perle in Oban, Cameron House in Loch Lomond and The Address in Glasgow. We had great activities and tours. We had drivers pick us up and drive us around. We had 1 bus tour to isle of skye which was maybe too long of a day, mini bus tours and private tours. We also had walking tours and a food tour She endeavoured to ensure we saw and learned a lot. It happened a few times that we canceled some activities due to jet lag or exhaustion! The weather was quite cold and rainy but that is uncontrollable 😏. I was surprised at how far from city centres the Kingsmills and Clan MacDuff were. This ensures that we had to eat our evening meals at the hotel as it was a 20 pound round trip to go eat in a downtown restaurant. One of our hotels Cameron House was over the top luxury . I really enjoyed dealing with Tetiana and i would book another trip with KimKim. Everything went off without a hitch and all the events and pick ups happened without issues

This was over the top luxury. When we were dropped off here, I wondered if someone had made a mistake ??? Beautifully renovated , reminded me a bit of the Banff Springs hotel in Canada The rooms were gorgeous The only drawback to this hotel would be location and pricing. You are stuck in the middle of nowhere and therefore obliged to eat there. Two restaurants with food that is acceptable but not worth the exorbitant pricing. Paid an obscene amount of money for a small portion of lukewarm pasta with a few pieces of pancetta , cheese and blah seasoning. The following night we ate at the Grill and it was also exorbitantly expensive. Each entree was 40 some pounds ! My husband had the lamb and he had 3 small finger shaped pieces of lamb and a few veggies We had to order sides which 7 pounds each. The breakfast was exceptional. But if you do not have it included in your room rate, it costs 36 pounds Staying here was an experience! Everyone of the staff that we dealt with was exceptionally helpful and welcoming

Breakfast was included in our pricing and they had a lovely food selection. In addition to that, they cooked your hot dishes individually. In order to perform this wonderful feat of a hot breakfast, they asked you to make a reservation in a 15 minute slot so they could be timely in their service. We went to this hotel as part of an organized tour and arrived at 9 am. Giving my name, they had my reservation. So I left my luggage and went off to a walking tour that was planned. My first clue that there would be a problem was when I asked for direction to Prince Square. Although this is a renowned shopping and dining spot and located 4 blocks away, no one knew anything 🤔 when we came back at 3:30, our reservation was not available! It took an hour to find it and get us our keys. The girl who finally found our reservation was very nice and helpful. We were promised that our luggage would be brought right up. Went for dinner and a walk and at 8 pm still no luggage. The next day after we came back from a big sightseeing day, our card keys for both rooms were non working. Had to come back down to reception and get our room key cards re-activated! The rooms were fine but there are fire doors and steps that you have to lift your luggage up. Although included in our pricing, breakfast was very average with many empty baskets even though we were 15 minutes after opening. Never touched the hot breakfasts as they looked unappetizing. The bar area in the lobby was nice and we did have some libations there. The staff there were pleasant. The hotel does have a great location although I would not stay there again. When I tried to check out at 5 am for an airport run, there again, the staff were confused as their update happens at 5:30 am. I think they might need help with their processing of check ins and outs.

This was quite a long day. We started at Clava Cairns. Our guide did not really tell us anything - we just read the signs and took pictures. We then made our way to Culloden We had some time to go through the museum which was very well done. Our museum tickets were included in our excursion. My brother tour guide walked them through the Culloden fields with a history lesson on the battle. We were just left on our own. Then we drove to this spot to see highland cows - felt a bit like Mexico where tour guides take you to weird places and they get kickbacks for taking tourists there. We stopped in at a cute village called Buliey for lunch and visit. In the afternoon we drove up to Glen Affric which was a nature preserve. Beautiful scenery. There were two walks to choose We chose the River walk Cautionary tale. In order to avoid a big mud puddle on the path, I stepped off onto the grass which ended up being a bog. My leg sank into the bog to mid thigh. Luckily my travel companions were able to haul me out. But I was muddy wet and my rain boots were full of mud and moss. I come from the prairies of Canada and have no concept of bogs! I felt the guide should have warned us to keep on the trail since he continually bragged about going there often

Then we drove all the way to Portree on the isle of Skye. Had 45 minutes there. Our driver had encouraged us to order our lunches so he would get them for us to eat on the bus after Portree. There was no cruise ship there that day so we could have skipped the lunches and had more time in Portree! Scenery was amazing. Then we set out to go to Fairy Pools. I think it is ridiculous to take a huge bus up that terrible road Single lane with passing places. No shoulders and huge ditches filled with mud on either side of the road. A few caravans went in the ditch leading to huge backlogs of cars. Then we get up to this desolate spot with cold gale force winds and we are told we have 90 minutes there. Adding this part of the trip to an already too long day is ridiculous. I enjoyed being at the Isle of skye but I think this tour should be re-designed I would not recommend it as it is overly long

Andrew was our guide. He was knowledgeable but he continually complained about tourists which is ridiculous when he earns his living from us! At the end of a 12 hour day listening to him it was a relief to get off the bus.

Our driver had to wait for us as two of us had luggage that took 40 minutes to arrive! Then we had to walk a fair distance to where his car was parked

Very friendly and helpful - we actually re-hired him a few days later to drive us back to airport to get rental car

The day we did this tour, it was pouring rain in Edinburgh and we had to walk a few blocks to reach the entrance to the vaults. Upon entry, it was dark, cold and damp. The stairs are very uneven. Few handrails and it is downright spooky to be down there. Very interesting but scary our guide was great and very knowledgeable. We were a group of 4 and although my sons and I loved it, my husband did not.

Guide was great. Although as we walked to the entrance in the pouring rain, he was walking a bit fast and we almost lost half the group

I reviewed the distillery tour on google already. Our guide Rafa was wonderful. He picked us up at our hotel and we drove out to Roslyn Chapel This is the chapel of Da Vinci Code. Very interesting and great to be there. We had time for a quick walk around the grounds Then our guide drove us to see another castle before our scotch tasting tour. We still had major jet lag but thoroughly enjoyed this great day. Bonus that I ran into an acquaintance from my home city in the parking lot of the chapel.

We had a great guide and he took us on a very informative walk through downtown Edinburgh He knew so much. My sons are big Harry Potter fans and Greyfriar cemetery was eye opening Our guide was very nice, and we liked him a lot. We could understand his Scottish accent. However he could benefit from an upgrade in his attire. He was very scruffy looking. I am not criticizing but I know some clients would be put off by his look

We had a wonderful vacation in Spain! The tour guides were ALL amazing but we have a special shout out for GEZA-he was our guide in Segovia/Avila and also for The Royal Palace! He was so much fun to be around and had a true enthusiasm for the history of Spain. My 13 and 12 yr old loved him too! Also-Tim was our guide on the Kayak/Laggon dipping/coastal hiking tour in Costa Brava and he was awesome! He was entertaining and engaging! Highly recommend both! Read more
