Our group of six had a very good experience in our recent two week trip to Japan, and we enjoyed visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. Eleanore was our Kimkim trip specialist and we are grateful for her help in planning and making arrangements for tours, bullet train tickets, private drivers, and well informed English speaking guides in all cities. She was attentive and listened to our concerns. She addressed each concern and provided excellent and timely advice before and during our trip. We handled our own hotel reservations and dining arrangements. I am confident we were able to have such a wonderful cultural and educational experience was in large part due to the amount of information and behind the scenes work she did on our behalf. We had a fantastic time in Namibia. The local company, Namibia Safari Journeys were excellent. They met us at the airport, then brought our car to the hotel the next morning where they gave us a full briefing on our trip, and introduced us to our spotless Toyota 4 runner for our duration in Namibia. All the accommodations in Namibia were excellent and we felt safe and well cared for in each and every one.

a bit of a hike outside the park. Roads going in to the camp were treacherous at times, but our driver managed them very well.

very attentive. When going anywhere outside our cabin, we needed a chaperone to look out for the animals and they were always there accommodating our need whenever.

great attention to detail in the cabins, although they did seem to be a bit unstable as they would shake whenever someone came up the stair to the deck. Didn’t have to worry about anyone sneaking up on us!

Desert Homestead Lodge

This hotel / lodging was an absolute delight! We loved our stay there. The facility was extensive and offered some hiking options for us which was welcomed after a long trip. The food was lovely and presented so artistically, all local grown! The staff was extremely accommodating. Loved our stay there!

The Singing Grass Serengeti Bush Camp

This was our favourite bush camp hotel. The staff treated us upon arrival and wouldn’t let us carry anything to our tent/ rooms. The accommodation was extraordinary with a huge lounge area of the bedroom. Meals were fabulous and we enjoyed the bush dinner and breakfast, as well as the campfire and “Bush TV” each evening. Here too, we were accompanied to move back and forth from our accommodation after dark. This time, we would use a radio to communicate with our chaperones.

Right inside the park. Easy access to safari drives to various parts of the park. They even had a local pride of lions that would sing us to sleep each evening! Note: the road access was challenging at times as it was primarily park roads… lots of African Masages getting to and from!

We loved our stay at this hotel / lodging. The addition of the hilltop sunset bar was lovely and we took advantage of it each night we were there. The tent accomodation was extraordinary. Meals were very good. The safari drive to see desert elephants was excellent.

Excellent hotel and staff. Very attentive and lovely meals. Here we also enjoyed the evening bush TV beside a fire made by one of the local Maasai that were hired but he camp. Great experience here. We were also accompanied by Maasai on staff when moving back and forth from our accommodation after”tent” during after dark hours.

the rooms were spotless, although at the end of our first full day, we noticed that the room hadn’t been made up. When I enquired at the front desk, they were very apologetic, and had it cleaned while we were having a brief meeting in the lobby. Ont op of the rapid attention to this matter, they also left a bottle of wine in our room for us as an apology. Very thoughtful, and greatly appreciated.

We had a blast in Swakopmund, particularly in Walvis Bay where we went kayaking and did a four by four dune ride. Both excursions were absolutely amazing, providing incredible experiences we thoroughly enjoyed.

The balloon ride in Sossusvlei was breathtaking. My husband and I were initially skeptical about the cost, but it was worth it. Flying over the world's tallest sand dunes as the sunrise cast beautiful shadows across them was an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our trip.

Catarina is one of the best travel agents I have had . She was very knowledgeable and very invested in our trip planning process . She was always open to our suggestions and had clear answers to our questions . She is extremely personable and very willing to help . She welcomed us in person when we started our trip in Lisbon and was always reachable on text and call. Thank you Catarina for helping us create these beautiful memories.

With only a month’s notice, Bruno planned and executed a fantastic trip to Croatia/ Slovenia for me and my wife. We were in Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb, and a day trip to Slovenia. We also had some special requests that he was more than willing to put in place even after he planned our itinerary. He was there every step of the way to keep us informed of changes due to weather , or just to give us a preview of the next day. Bruno was also our guide in Zagreb and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide to the city.

Overall, it was an excellent trip and Bruno was superb!

We just got back from trip to Bali, The Island of Gods - Nature and Culture experience.
Marc was our Kimkim local specialist. We wanted to avoid the crowded tourist locations, explore the Balinese culture, and interact with locals. He listened to what we hoped to experience on this trip and made recommendations. The communication was fantastic. Bali is 12 hours ahead of Boston, so the messaging feature in the Kimkim app was easy and efficient.
Marc crafted a very special time on the island. We stayed at 3 different locations, learning about the beautiful Balinese culture, enjoying delicious food along the way, and staying in amazing hotels. We went SCUBA diving, toured rice fields, spent half a day in a Balinese family compound for a cooking lesson, visited temples, biked the backroads, and hiked through tropical forests to waterfalls. There is so much beauty in Bali.
Our drivers from Edi and Cula were the best. They were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.
The best thing about Kimkim is the local travel specialists. They are available for you every step of the way.

The Hanoi program could have been made better. We booked a day trip for the second day via TripAdvisor, which cost us some money. KimKim should have planned a trip to some of the neighboring villages. Also, the day tour that you organized in Hanoi on the third day was very boring, we went for a lunch with the tour guide that day, which was the best part of the tour. It was just 3 hours of tour max.

Ha Long Bay was well done.

The hotel at Hoi An was very good, and the overall experience in Hoi An was good.

Both hotel staff were very nice, polite and served us very well.

Be a Greek, the travel agency which I found on the KimKim platform, was absolutely excellent in every way. They sensitively planned an itinerary for our family (my husband, our 12-year-old grandson, and I) which engaged and delighted all of us. We had very knowledgeable and very fun guides in every stop, guides who understood kids and old people! Our favorite was Penny in Delphi, one of the best guides I've ever had anywhere. Her encyclopedic grasp of Greek history in general, Ancient Delphi, and teenagers of today made our stop in Delphi a highlight for us. We were in Greece for two weeks, and every day brought a different level of understanding, thanks to Be a Greek. Our transfers were always waiting for us at every stop. Thanos, who drove us through the Peloponnese, was kind and helpful. He translated customs and language for us as well as getting us where we needed to be on time and without stress. I cannot say enough good things about Be a Greek and their very responsive team, available to us through a group chat whenever we needed them!

I corresponded by email/chat and Robi created a custom trip for me and my husband that exceeded our expectations and fit into our budget. It was the perfect blend of self-guided which we wanted and some guided days with Robi. Robi was always available and patient with my questions. Updated us daily with details about next day itinerary. We actually enjoyed our three days guided by Robi the best. We had two days of cycling and one day of hiking with him. He treated us like family and let us choose exactly what we wanted, being flexible according to the weather and our needs/desires. He also was a lot of fun to be with and shared our love of the outdoors and beautiful places. Because he is a true local, he knew all the best places to go and how to avoid crowds which we fully appreciated. It was hard to say goodbye! We highly recommend KimKim and Robi!

This was the absolute most amazing vacation we have ever taken. Alonso and his team went above and beyond to ensure we had the most memorable time. We were a family of 10 spanning 3 generations. We started our trip in Madrid. We wanted to start our trip with a tapas tour with expectations of a culinary experience. Jose, our guide in Madrid, took us on a journey of history and culture that was woven in with the different dishes. We spent 3 days with him experiencing food, touring the palace and ending in Toledo with Easter mass and a tour of the streets. In Barcelona our experiences included a bike tour, a tapas tour, the most wonderful guide at Sagrada Familia, a FC Barca game and ended with a winery tour and a trip up the mountain to Montserrat . This was the highlight of our vacation. Our guide at the winery took is on a journey of the wine and olive oil of the region. After we had our favorite meal of our Spain trip. We may have drank a little too much mine so the ride up the mountain to Monserrat was slightly rough but so worth it. Monserrat is one of the most beautiful places we have been too.

I appreciated her responsiveness and making sure all of the details were covered. All of the transfers went as planned. Wilman & Alex with serendipity travel were prompt and very informative. The springs hotel was relaxing and beautiful. Kayaking lake arenal was amazing, but could have been a longer tour, same for rain maker (hiking to waterfalls) - each was only an hour plus travel time. The kids favorite was the zipline, but we could have gone on the accompanying hike without the guide. Hiking up the volcano was fantastic- we took the res trail & are so glad we did!! Guide was amazing, so much to see and the view at the cafe after is well worth it all.

A must for an Authentic Greek Experience

We just returned from an incredible 12-night adventure through Morocco, and it’s hard to put into words how truly special this trip was. From the bustling cities to the serene desert landscapes, every stop—Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fez, Marrakech, Merzouga and the Sahara, Essaouira, and the Dades Valley—offered something unique and unforgettable.

One of the highlights was staying in a series of beautiful Riads nestled within the Medinas of each city. These accommodations gave us a deeply authentic experience—waking up to traditional Moroccan breakfasts, hearing the distant call to prayer, and soaking in the architecture and charm that can only be found behind the doors of a Riad.

The guided tours in Fez, Marrakech, and Essaouira were outstanding. Our guides—Sharef, Said, and Said—were each exceptional in their own way. They combined deep cultural and historical knowledge with local expertise, giving us access to hidden corners, untold stories, and a fuller appreciation of each city's heartbeat. We left every tour feeling enlightened, entertained, and even more in love with Morocco.

But the true star of our journey was our driver, Hamza. From the moment he picked us up, Hamza became more than just our driver—he became our friend, our advisor, and in many ways, the soul of the trip. His calm presence, excellent driving, and thoughtfulness elevated the entire experience. He helped us with restaurant recommendations, guided us in unfamiliar places, and always made us feel safe and cared for. We were lucky to have him with us every step of the way.

We even shared several meals with Hamza—our way of showing appreciation, but also because we genuinely enjoyed his company. He told us about his life, his family, and what it’s like to live in modern Morocco. His easy rapport and warm personality especially clicked with our spirited Spanish matriarch, who kept the group laughing—and quickly became close friends with Hamza herself.

This trip could have gone very differently had we not all connected the way we did, but Hamza made it effortless. His presence was not just helpful—it was meaningful. We left Morocco with a suitcase full of souvenirs and a heart full of gratitude for him. We’ll absolutely be staying in touch.

Morocco captured our imaginations, delighted our senses, and opened our hearts. This journey was so much more than sightseeing—it was an immersion into history, culture, friendship, and beauty. We’ll be talking about this one for a long time.

This was our first time using KimKim. In fact, it was the first time we had used any travel planning agency. There were times in the planning process that I felt a bit anxious there I gave the planning and booking experience only 4 stars. That said, the itinerary and arrangements that Zehra put together for us far exceeded our expectations! I had originally told Zehra that we wanted to see Troy, Pergamum, Ephesus, and Cappadocia. I later added Pamukkale to that list. Zehra expanded the trip to include Gallipoli, Aphrodiaias, Hierapolis, and Konya to that list. We knew of Gallipoli but the last 3 were places we had never even heard of and all turned out to be fascinating and memorable.
The guides Zehra hired were fabulous. Okan made the battle sites of the Gallipoli Peninsula come alive. We finished that day with an understanding of the importance of the geography of that peninsula and the important role it played in 20th century Turkish history. Okan also guided us patiently and carefully through the ruins of ancient Troy and Pergamum. He went beyond his role of tour guide by recommending an excellent fish restaurant for dinner and arranging a late lunch stop in Çanakkale so we could eat gözleme.
Senem gave us a very good understanding of the importance of Ephesus and took us through the excavation of the “mansions “ near the agora that are now open to the public at a small additional fee.
Rafet is a fabulous story teller! He entranced us with his telling of the Greek myths and their connections to the ancient cities of Aphrodisias and Hierapolis. He also found us good local eateries for lunch!
Gökhan gave us very clear explanations about the geology of Cappadocia and also about the role that the early Christians played in that area. He also steered us expertly through the crush of tourists in the Underground City.
Our itinerary was a private 11 day road trip with a car and driver. Okan, Rafet and Gökhan were each with us for more than one day and all 3 were also very good traveling companions on the drives from one site to another.
KimKim and Zehra truly put together a remarkable trip for us.

Amazing trip organized to Norway by KimKim. Especially Kadri who did an amazing job coordinating the trip. Everything was excellent (locations, hotels chosen, etc). Communication was great.

The Alesund area or the Romsdal region is one of the most beautiful areas in the world. The hiking, biking, sightseeing is like no other. Very easy to drive. Ferry system is seamless. The safest region I have visited in the world. Friendliest people. Visited in early summer with very little rain and 18 hours of sunlight. Temperature averages around 50 degrees which is fine for activities.

Very very highly recommended to schedule trip with KimKim to the Romsdal region.
