The plan was exactly what we wanted, and Kimkim took care of the parts that were the most overwhelming - booking domestic flights and hotels, arranging for people to meet us at airports, and arranging a few excursions. It was a great combination of being on an independent trip but still having someone to guide and support us. The scenery was fabulous throughout. Kristy was very responsive and helpful every time we reached out to her. We look forward to traveling with Kimkim again and have already recommended it to a few friends!

My wife and I had a great ten day trip in Guatemala. We told kimkim the kinds of things we were interested in and wanted to do (Antigua, hiking, shopping, markets, maybe a cooking class, Tikal, Lake Atitlan), and they put us in touch with Matt at Old Town Outfitters in Antigua, who helped us come up with an ideal itinerary, using local guides and drivers. We especially enjoyed our four days with guide Lucas, whose skill and knowledge and patience and joy of life and spirit of adventure captivated us. Matt was responsive to our questions and needs, and added a last-minute coffee tour that was one of the highlights. He choreographed all the details of the trip - transportation, local guides, plane tickets to Tikal, and lodging, and everything worked out perfectly. So much easier than trying to figure it all out ourselves!

Great trip in Argentina - the trip was well planned and each transfer was smooth without hiccup. Managed to visit all key attractions in Argentina.

Ecuador

The trip was excellent as we got to see both the old town and the new town of Quito. The country side of both the mountains and jungle gave us interesting perspectives of the culture. We enjoyed eating at the local places that our guide recommended.

And a special shout out to Ramona, our simian assistant who enjoyed taking free rides on our families shoulders.

Ruth was extremely helpful, mindful of local activities and our limitations. We had the best time.

I highly recommend KimKim and in particular Pedro if you are planning a trip to Portugal! The entire experience beginning with the initial planning to enjoying 10 days “on the ground” was exceptional. Portuguese love their country and that passion was evident in all the guides, drivers, walking tours, wine and port tastings we experienced.
I was nervous about planning a trip but doubts immediately disappeared when I began talking with Pedro. There’s nothing like talking to someone who lives in the country and has the knowledge and resources to make the best trip happen!

Planning our trip with Moonika was fantastic. We told her the time we would have in Finland, activities we wanted to do, and the budget we had in mind. She was great in planning every aspect of our trip and was very responsive to changes we wanted. During the trip she was in communication throughout and provided us with answers and guidance that we needed.

We toured Helsinki , a day trip to Tallinn in Estonia, overnight train from Helsinki (make sure you know where you train car is lol), a night in the Ice Hotel, a few more nights in a glass igloo at the Apukka Resort. She helped us plan Snowshoe hiking, husky sledding, ice fishing, reindeer sleighs, and snowmobiling.

It was a fantastic trip and kudos to Moonika for everything!

We had a great opportunity to work with kimkim team Priscilla for our anniversary vacation. I booked the flight tickets and put into the hands of Priscilla. Priscilla put together a great itinerary to meet our needs. We are extremely happy about the overall experience. I would lean in again to kimkim for my future vacations. All guides were amazing. Zoom (Daniel ) Ken amd Liam were all above and beyond expectations. Suggestes itinerary was busy but allowed us to.see a whole lot of the country in 12 days. The one negative was the boat trip Ha Long Bay. The rooms all smell like mildew. We talked with 3 other couples on the.boat who all had the same complaint. Boat staff was nice but not enough to make my rating of the overall boat cruise better

Our trip to Finland was full of adventures. From taking a sleigh ride pulled by reindeer to dog sledding, riding the Santa Express train to Lapland and crossing the Arctic Circle, to experiencing a very primitive day by a lake in a cottage, our trip was absolutely amazing and perfect! A special thanks to Monnick for her dedication to planning our trip. All we did was give her the activities we wanted to do and she did the rest! From the transfers to hotel stays to our daily fun, she took care of it all! She was very professional and quick to respond when plans changed or we needed to rearrange a transfer. It was pleasant holiday and we are very happy to have chosen Monnick, who is familiar with Finland to arrange our days and give us a true day to day feeling of Finnish life!

We had an amazing holiday in Thailand, our first visit and organised with just one months' notice! Lacey, the local specialist, was really quick to understand our needs, and it was so quick and easy to communicate via the Kim Kim platform. The quality and care were first class and every detail was taken care of and proactively anticipated. Everything ran like clockwork, very efficient and really made the most of our time there! I have become a huge fan of Kim Kim and am telling all our our friends:) Our two guides, Annie in Bangkok and JJ in Chiang Mai were super friendly & fun and full of insights and tips, going out of thier way to make sure our needs were met. What's not to love about Thailand! Loved all of it but the big highlights were the railway market and river cruise in Bangkok , our culinary family experience in Chiang Mai and both the Kayaking and speed boat Island tours in Phuket.

Adam did the initial planning. But Jessica did the detailed itinerary and trouble shooted while we were there. She was very helpful very quickly when we needed help. She was amazing!
The drivers and guides were all great.
We enjoyed our accommodations, except for Ocotea Hotel in Monteverde, which was mostly like a down scale suburban motel. It definitely was not up to KimKim luxury standards, though the food was good and people were nice. If we could have we would have moved to upscale Belmar Hotel, but were not given the option. This was the major failure of our otherwise splendid trip.
Also, for your information, breakfasts were not included at Makada and The Springs, though our itinerary indicated they were.
We loved Costa Rica and the experiences KimKim designed and executed for us. Our thanks.

We loved our trip and having everything perfectly setup by Angel was a blessing, made everything so much easier than if we would’ve been on our own. Atacama was spectacular, so was Patagonia. All guides were very knowledgeable and friendly, tours were so much better when u have someone who can give u all details. Hotels are lower quality vs what one with European experience might expect. Linda and team were amazing in planning our custom trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos! My husband and I had a fantastic time and (almost) everything was taken care of for our 5 day trip that included Santa Cruz and Isabela islands. It was really nice to not have to worry about any transfers, have our itinerary planned out for us, and to stay at great hotels. Finch Bay on Santa Cruz island, Galapagos was AMAZING, as were all the tour guides, drivers, and escorts that interacted with us through the company.

We loved the activities we did, and Linda did a great job taking our preferences into account. She is super communicative, friendly, helpful, and responsive, including when we had some last minute requests / change of plans. Highly recommend!

We had a great trip. Alvaro and his team were great communicators, organized, offered helpful advice, and responded quickly to any inquires. Our tour was well-paced and interesting. We learned a lot about Ecuador, had some adventures, and saw many beautiful areas. Our lodgings were all very comfortable, the meals were good, and the tours were very enjoyable.

Our tour guide, Edison, was knowledgeable about Ecuador and generously shared his insights and expertise. He only added to the experience.

Journey to the Peak From the Center of the Earth: Chimborazo!

We were suffering with the altitude, so we weren't sure if we'd make it to the second refuge, but we did! It was snowing and foggy, so there was no view, but we were still thrilled to have made it.

I am way overdue on writing this review, but it was so important for me to circle back and do so because the experience we had with our KimKim agent, Rita, was beyond amazing and she, along with the KimKim team, deserves so much praise for helping us to organize the trip of a lifetime. We spent 10 days driving through the south of Spain and Rita provided perfect recommendations and guidance for hotels, tours, and many other must see items along every step of our trip. If fact, the only time we did not have a perfect experience were the few times where I ignored Rita's advice (shame on me!). Our 2 tour guides where we did walking tours on the trip were simply amazing in Seville and Granada. . One of the added benefits of KimKim is the mobile app to leverage along way which also provides direct live chat service with your agent - we used it multiple times to ask question regarding the local culture - tipping recommendation for service, language uses, route changes, etc. Additionally - Rita monitored our itinerary along the way as was able to rebook an event for us which canceled their show 2 days before we arrived (we would have had no idea until we got there), but Rita was able to get us rebooked seamlessly at another venue. Based upon our experience, we will be using KimKim going forward on future trips and can not recommend this service enough. Thank you Rita and KimKim!
