If you want an updated great small local hotel this is the place. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast exceeded expectations. The hotel is in the center of all night time action. Great dinning options and music all around.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful accommodations. My family of 5 loved our stay here! The rooftop pool was the best bonus for a midday respite.

Our guide really connected with our 3 girls and encouraged them to lead a bit of the tour. Julie played games with them, answered all of their many questions, let them try local candies, and shared local history and traditions with them in a way they really connected with.

Right on the main square and car access to rear. Very busy restaurant the two nights we were there but food is top-notch. Good room and comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly and accomadating.

Right in the historic center with a view of the cathedral. Can be a little noisy but staff was very helpful and friendly.

Part of the problem was out of their control: we had some rain and delayed leaving Hoorn due to track repairs. We only had 30 minutes at the last stop before returning to Hoorn. Very clean and well maintained antique train cars and engine.

This is a very well run operation for our group of 11 people from 2-70 years old. The rooms with the plunge pools were a big hit with the kids. Good range of off site and on site excursions and activities.

Our cultural exchange was very successful and enjoyable. It was the perfect follow-up to our overall cultural introduction tour to Kyoto, Tokayama, Kanazawa and Tokyo.

We really enjoyed our food tour in Shibuya and learning about the food culture of Tokyo.

We had limited time to tour Tokyo and our guide did the best he could. His English skill was limited, however, and we wished we had been warned not to eat very much for lunch in preparation our Shibuya Food Tour that evening.

Our American guide was very thorough and helpful for giving us a good experience in Kanazawa.

Shirakawa was a wonderful place and our driver/guide did a great job.

This hotel is a must visit. Perfect location, beautiful building with extremely nice rooms. We had all sorts of treats waiting for us in our room and the experience felt so personal. Breakfast was delicious and there was a very cool roof deck for sunset views.

Our guide Nasos made this whole excursion - he was absolutely wonderful and took such great care of our family. He provided us with the perfect amount of historical and educational context as well as the locals perspective on our drive to Balos. He set us up for our beach time at Falassarna makgin sure we had everything we needed...I highly recommend!

Even though it was a little cloudy, this experience was well worth it! Our guide was so knowledgeable and had some great stories to share. We stopped in a small beach town for a quick dinner and it was lovely. The temple itself is amazing and we loved spending the sunset there.

Great education on both mythology and history. Our guide took her time climbing up to the Acropolis and the pace felt super manageable while keeping our 3 kids entertained and moving along.

Would visit again! We went toward a lot of museums and this was probably the favorite.

Off the beaten path! Not many international tourists! Lovely museum and sculpture garden! Bikes were a lot of fun and made the park accessible without a car!

The cheese farm and Zaanse Schans were a bit touristy but still worth seeing. We particularly liked the Hortus Bulborum!

Our only disappointment on the trip. This hotel, although in a great location and clean, is not the most comfortable. Tiny room. We could barely put our clothes or suitcases anywhere. It feels more like a family budget hotel, and we were paying luxury prices.

I had visited, Kamakura before, but my husband had not. I wanted him to see the Buddha and bamboo forest and it could not have been a more perfect day, weatherwise. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was always on my bucket list, and it did not disappoint. Beautiful setting, nice day overall.

The tower, — it’s a bit touristy. If you like going up the Eiffel Tower, or to the Statue of Liberty, or to the top of the Empire State building, then this is that type of experience. But we enjoyed walking in the nearby neighborhood and stopping by Four for a night local lunch. We also had a nice walk through a beautiful park. Be careful at Kuromon market if you order Uni. They hide the prices a bit, and there might be a little sticker shock at the end.

Fascinating castle with an interesting history. The gardens nearby were beautiful. Be prepared for a lot of steps.

Arashimaya was fabulous! Highly recommend going there - just glorious in spring. The tea ceremony and Maiko experience felt a bit touristy, but if you want to be dressed in a kimono for tea, then this might be for you. But our guide Ursula was wonderful!

The location is great, just a minutes walk to Puerta del Sol. It's in a pedestrian only area so we figured out quickly where the drivers can pick you up and drop you off. The place has a small lobby, just for saying hello to the friendly staff and a tiny elevator, perfect for our needs. The breakfast room upstairs was bright and the food wonderful. Everything was clean and we had all the amenities needed.

What a wonderful location on Calle Nava, filled with restaurants and lovely ambiance, pedestrian only. The place was clean and bright and the employees wonderfully friendly. We stored our luggage both coming and going and there was a nice room to take a break next to the lobby. There's an elevator! The breakfast was wonderful. Walk south and immediately find some quiet plazas and a huge church. Walk the other direction and within 5 minutes you're at Plaza Bib-Rambla, shopping, Cathedral and more!

The location was wonderful, right in the heart of the old town and about 5 minutes walk to the Cathedral and main square. We saw a band and singers, 100's of people and a holy relic being pulled by 2 oxen right out of our balcony! We were told it was the beginning of a Festival. The only thing that I was disappointed with was that it felt a little modern and sleek when I was looking for old world charm, tiles and plants and fountains. The employees were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. It was very clean. There were a lot of places to sit in the lobby if you didn't want to sit in your room. It had an elevator and a rooftop area to explore.

This is just a few minutes drive from the airport but it's in a neighborhood, filled with all sorts of restaurants. What a nice find! Nice staff, rooms are super nice and comfortable.

Wow, this riad is a palace and we felt a little like country bumpkins who wandered into the wrong kingdom. It's truly beautiful and the architecture, tile work, fountain, lighting and everything about the courtyard was spectacular. Just-WOW! They greeted us with mint tea and some nibbles and told us all about the riad. Our room was also elegant, comfortable and overlooking the courtyard. All the personel were so nice and really wanted to make our stay a wonderful experience. We saw the same staff often so we got to see familiar faces. Breakfast was delicious and on the rooftop so we had nice views afterwards.

This riad was our first experience so we were a little new as to how a "guest house" worked. It was charming. The courtyard was filled with comfy couches with big pillows, tables and plants. My sister had a moment of anxiety at first seeing just one bed for the 2 of us and made a few comments. It was totally fine and she would have been ok with it but they heard her complaint and brought a 2nd bed downstairs for us! They went above and beyond to make her comfortable and we so appreciated that. The only thing that was off putting to me was the big step down into the toilet room and the big step down into the shower, something to think about with my arthritic knees but workable. The breakfast was wonderful and all the staff were so nice and always greeted us with smiles and hellos.

We had our wonderful driver Said take us on parts of our tour with our guide, Sahara. She was so lovely, energetic, informative and guided us through the narrow alleys with ease. It was a Friday so almost everything was closed. It was a little disappointing not to see the hustle and bustle of all the shops and people BUT we got to walk without every step avoiding people and heard what life is like for the people who live there. There were only locals around, very few tourists. The ancient Fes we were exploring with intertwining alleyways is so huge that at one point I asked how far of a walk our Riad was and she said 35-45 minutes, knowing the exact route.

We walked a lot to see some of the main things to experience and had our guide Ahmed lead the way. He was very knowledgeable and gave us the history and information on his culture and the country. He was aware that long walks were difficult for us due to arthritis and had a tuk-tuk take us to places a little further away. He had us eat lunch at a small place that had the best food! We enjoyed this tour and would recommend it rather than just wandering around on your own.

We had an engaging and charming driver, Joan, who was so fun to talk with about life in Spain, culture, music, etc. from Seville to Cordoba and back. Once we were in Cordoba, our wonderful guide for the Mosque-Cathedral was Angel. It was really helpful to have him as a guide to this amazing place as there were so many additions and such an interesting history of how these 2 religions meshed together in one place. This is a do not miss place to see and on my travels through southern Spain, I never saw anything like this. We didn't see anything else major on this trip, just some of the pretty, pedestrian streets, lunch and the Roman gate and bridge. Some places were closed that day that we would normally have enjoyed seeing.

This is a long but wonderful experience and having a guide to tell us the history was very helpful. For someone with arthritis that was flaring up already, the hills and stairs were a challange. There were so many beautiful rooms, views and architectual details that it was photo heaven and well worth the effort.

What an opulent and lovely palace! Don't skip this. It was so hard to figure out what to look at first as the paintings on the ceilings, chandeliers, tile work and furniture are all spectacular! We had a young but very experienced guide for just my sister and myself and she was filled with great stories about the people who lived there and the history. I loved that we are now allowed to take photos inside.

This was really fun in spite of the fact that the weather wasnt very cooperative. We visited 3 of the outlying islands with their interesting little towns. Our boat captain and guide was so cheerful and informative that it almost made the clouds disappear.

Our guide knew her history and as we toured through the city, she brought it more to life. Although we had walked thru the Old City the previous day, we learned so much and gained more appreciation for it.

Joseph is a very kind patient person. We were afraid we were going to have to walk up the hills behind the harbor, but he drove us waay up to a beautiful view spot. Most of the hike was downhill and beautiful. I felt we had earned the amazing food that had been cooking and waiting for us. Another brief hike to our ride back down to our hotel. Weather was perfect and the hike was tuned to our abilities

The instructor is fun, informative and patient. We had a tour through the markets to get the food we would be preparing. the school where we prepared our food was wonderful to work in. I learned to skin a fish, chop swiss chard and knead bread with confidence. This was a very fun and educational activity

Iva was very informative guide through the old city. Delicious traditional food. Definitely go on an empty stomach 'cuz you'll get a lot to eat.

Superb! It started off with us two - 86 and 83 years young - working our way through a Tango lesson. Even have a video to share (if we choose!). Then a stage-side dinner show. Dinner was good, the Tango show (90 minutes) was fun and superb. It happened that the couple sharing our table had their daughter as a part of one of the Tango teams. That added some 'connection' for us, and after the show, we had our pictures taken with the daughter and her Tango partner.

Our stay at Grand Hyatt Jeju was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in comfort, luxury, and hospitality that far exceeded expectations. The variety was remarkable and everything was beautifully prepared. From bulgogi and dumplings to fresh salads, fruit, pastries, and countless other choices, each morning felt indulgent. We were completely spoiled and looked forward to breakfast every day. Another wonderful surprise was the shopping all on site, which made the experience feel even more complete. Having dining, luxury accommodations, and excellent shopping all in one place made the hotel feel like its own vibrant world. What truly elevated our stay, though, was the staff. It is rare to meet someone in a hotel who leaves such a lasting impression, and we will certainly miss our chats with him. Grand Hyatt Jeju offers everything you could want—beautiful oversized rooms, exceptional dining, incredible amenities, shopping, and heartfelt hospitality. It combines grandeur with warmth in a way that is hard to find. This was far more than a hotel stay—it was an unforgettable experience. We would return without hesitation and already miss it. If you are visiting Jeju and want true luxury paired with genuine hospitality, this is an absolute must-stay. Five stars are simply not enough.

Our stay at Signiel Busan was absolutely exceptional and easily one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, everything about this hotel felt elevated, thoughtful, and unforgettable. First, the location could not have been any better. Just a short walk to Haeundae Beach, it was the perfect base for enjoying Busan. And the views—absolutely breathtaking. Our room had a balcony (yes, a balcony!) overlooking the ocean, and waking up to that view each morning felt surreal. Sitting outside with the sea breeze and hearing the waves was pure magic. The room itself was stunning—beautifully designed, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail felt luxurious yet welcoming. The bed was heavenly, the space was serene, and honestly… we did not want to leave. What truly made the stay special, though, was the staff. The service was impeccable but also so warm and personal. Having tea brought to our room was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel genuinely cared for. It is rare to find a luxury hotel that feels this polished while also feeling so personal. And the breakfast buffet—simply outstanding. Every morning felt like a feast. The spread was beautifully laid out and absolutely delicious. Freshly made eggs, dumplings, soup, fresh fruit, pastries… we were completely spoiled. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had. Everything about Signiel Busan speaks to excellence: the unbeatable location, breathtaking ocean views, luxurious rooms, extraordinary staff, and incredible dining. Our stay at Rakkojae Hahoe Hanok was one of the most unique and memorable parts of our trip to South Korea. If you want to immerse yourself in Korean history and experience something truly special, this is a place you should not miss. The beauty of the surrounding area is breathtaking. Set near the historic Hahoe Folk Village, the scenery feels timeless—peaceful, cultural, and almost like stepping into another era. Waking up surrounded by nature and traditional architecture was an experience in itself. Sleeping in a traditional hanok was something we had looked forward to, and it exceeded expectations. The heated floors (ondol) made the room incredibly cozy and added to the authenticity of the experience. There was something so peaceful about staying in a traditional Korean home while still enjoying modern comfort. Our room was wonderfully spacious—three of us stayed in one room and never felt crowded. There was plenty of room to move around, the bathroom was large and beautifully appointed, and the amenities were fantastic. Every detail felt thoughtful and elevated, balancing tradition with comfort in a way that made the stay feel both authentic and luxurious. What makes this property so special is that it is not just a hotel stay, it feels like a cultural experience. The only small note for us was the dining experience. While beautifully presented and refined, it leaned a bit too bougie for our taste. We had hoped for a more traditional, rustic Korean meal that matched the authenticity of the hanok setting. It was still well done, just not quite what we expected. That said, this did not take away from how remarkable this property is. Rakkojae Hahoe Hanok is truly one of a kind—a rare chance to experience Korean heritage in such a beautiful and comfortable setting. For travelers looking for something meaningful, memorable, and unlike a standard hotel stay, this place is unforgettable.

Our stay at The Westin Josun Seoul was nothing short of extraordinary. Our room was beautiful, peaceful, and luxurious, with every detail thoughtfully curated. After long days exploring, it felt like returning to a sanctuary. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the people. The staff made this stay unforgettable. William, the back doorman, was such a warm and welcoming presence and made us feel cared for from day one. The concierge staff were equally amazing—knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely invested in making our experience special. We truly felt like friends, not visitors, and that level of hospitality is rare and deeply meaningful. The breakfast buffet deserves its own standing ovation. It was absolutely out of this world—one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever experienced. The quality, variety, and service were exceptional. Highlights for us were the dumplings, salmon, and kimchi, all absolutely delicious. Every morning felt like a culinary event. What makes this hotel so remarkable is that it combines luxury with heart. It offers world-class accommodations, an unbeatable location, and service that makes you feel at home in another country. This is not just a great hotel—it is a must-stay when visiting Seoul. We would return in a heartbeat, and honestly cannot imagine staying anywhere else.
