Jemina provided a well paced and thorough tour of La Pax.

The salt flats were one of the highlights of the trip. Jemina and the driver set up a wonderful picnic and wine at the flats. She also took great illusion photos of us. This tour was so well worth it.

This tour was second only to the salt flats. We were able to view the stars through telescopes. Tour guide took pictures and emailed to us, that was a nice and unexpected gift.

Lovely property with rooms/ balconies overlooking a waterhole that brings amazing wildlife to view! Beautiful common area for meals, relaxation, drinks and excellent/ attentive staff

Small boutique type hotel, outside of big game area but that allowed for us to take long walks in the area and see amazing wildlife like giraffe! Pool and overlook deck were very nice. Nice spa options. The honeymoon suite is amazing, with an outdoor shower and relaxation area, huge closet.

The combination of the privacy and charm of the Dock House with access to the Queen Victoria amenities is pretty fantastic. The guest house is AMAZING..... huge rooms, including a sitting room and private patio area. Right across the street from shops and restaurants on the V&A Waterfront. Service is outstanding (especially Ashley, our breakfast host!)

This is perhaps the most amazing place that I have ever stayed. What a unique property with incredible touches (and service). If you have any interest in trains, this is your spot! The carriages were beautiful, with direct views of the river and all the wildlife that it brings. We were able to watch buffalo, crocodile, hippo, and even giraffe from our room. It's worth noting, though, that the train rooms do require some walking on the bridge to access them, so just a heads-up for anyone that doesn't love heights (garden suites are also available). The pool area in the middle of the bridge is a very special spot (and the bartenders take good care of you!) All meals were amazing, as was the staff, from beginning to end. And each of the game drives brought something special. What a treat to have been able to spend three nights here. We highly recommend!

My favorite food tour! The guide really knew the history of the restaurant, the tapas, the drinks and the neighborhood. A Great tour to start knowing Spain!

The guide was really from Madrid so he knew things that maybe another person from another region would not know.

One of my favorite tours in the Trip. The guide was really an expert and from the same town of Segovia. Great walking tour and the going to the Alcázar is spectacular

The driver/guide was very friendly and was always willing to give recomendations and ideas. My favorite part was to listen to the kids from the monastery.

The food was amazing! I think the wines could be better. However you learn a Lot about the dish and the history behind the dish. The tour was in English but the guide was also speaking Spanish so my mom was able to understand key aspects. She also shared tips to detect good restaurants in Rome to try the real food here.

The chosen tour guide company changed the start time and that affected our whole day. Due to this change, our Kim kim advisor Marina had to make adjustments. Besides there were other companies with Spanish speaking guides and we were in an English speaking tour.

Rossi was a great guide. She is talkative and full of energy and great sense of humor. Even though she had to move a little bit the start time due to our request, she did and even got us tickets for the Pantheon which was a last moment request.

My favorite experience in the Trip! Going to a small vineyard and tasting those exclusive wines, then going to these small villages far from the crowded Rome was amazing!

It was very incredible to see the real David. The guide knew a Lot about the scultors so she was able to explain a lot.

Tuscany Is magical, the food and wines were really good.

The design aesthetic is very unique in a cool way that’s hard to describe. Comfortable rooms. Good location. Restaurant was excellent for dinner. One of the better meals we had in Iceland.

A great hotel with a wonderful breakfast buffet That allowed me to sample Japanese cuisine (besides sushi). The hotel’s amenities and staff were simply wonderful. A great mid-century modern decor with a library. I have not seen a similar concept in any of the hotels I have visited in the US. The hotel location was walking distance from Tokyo Tower and subway stations. I will definitely be staying here again if I visit and reserve one day to spend at the hotel exploring there, Library.

A large hotel with 2 Onsens! We had a Japanese style room which was so spacious for our party of 3. The staff came twice a day to set up and remove the futons for sleeping. Had a great souvenir shop with Tax free option that was better than the one at Haneda. 3 great restaurants and the BEST breakfast buffet!

I could not have asked for a better Ryokan experience! It is a 70 year old hotel that seems small on outside but Rooms were large and convenient. The Onsen was clean but not the best Onsen I had seen on this trip ( after experiencing a hot spring Onsen in Takayama one would not opt for this “usual” style of Onsen ). The breakfast experience was so authentic! Everyday was slightly different than the next. The location was EXCELLENT.. so close to Kamo river.. watching the sunset there was unforgettable!

I was really looking forward to visiting the teamLab Borderless at the MORI Building, but we ended up going to teamLab Planets instead. Initially, this change was a bit confusing and inconvenient since Planets was further from our hotel, but the experience turned out to be amazing. The guide informed me about the change the day before, which was really fortunate. TeamLab Planets had around five exhibits, and though it’s a smaller attraction compared to MORI, it was still a beautiful and immersive experience. Communication about the change could have been better, but overall, I was happy with the visit.

I had a fantastic time on the Mount Fuji National Park excursion. The car that picked us up was very comfortable, and the guide was great. We took a cable car up Mt. Owakudani, which offered stunning views, and then we enjoyed a pirate ship ride across Lake Ashinoko. The whole day was well-organized and enjoyable. Despite one minor issue with a driver, which was quickly resolved, the experience was memorable.

The tea ceremony experience was not exactly what I expected. I anticipated a traditional setup with a Geisha or a Maiko (Geisha in training). However, the tea experience we had was different from what was described in the itinerary. Instead of a traditional setting, it was held in a dry sculpture garden, where we did some gravel art meditation. Despite this, my kids enjoyed it. We were served tea and a dessert, but it felt like something I could have gotten at a local tea shop. Knowing that there were several tea houses near our hotel in Kyoto, I might have opted for a more traditional geisha tea ceremony if I had known.

Although supposed to be a "must", train was super crowded with cruise passengers and could not really see. Biking was a better experience but should not be done unless you are comfortable on steep gravel descents.

Location and staff were amazing! 10 out of 10. The particular room we were given was slightly dated but served us well overall and we appreciated having a nice outdoor balcony on our room.

We spent only one night in this hotel but found it to be comfortable, clean, modern, and with very friendly staff.

We loved this hotel. Super friendly staff, great view, large clean room, and wonderful pools to swim in. The complimentary breakfast was the best of our entire trip. At first it may seem like there are not many restaurants nearby but an easy 5 minute walk puts you in touch with some great bars and food establishments, just need to go looking. Walking into the city of Funchal was possible from here and it was nice to be away from the noise of the city. Great choice for this property.

Beautiful, clean, modern hotel in walking distance from the Airport. Great for transfers but not great as a vacation destination property as it’s too far from most of the Lisboa attractions.

What a breathtaking experience this was. The scenery was out of this world. A must visit for anyone coming to the Porto area of Portugal.

This was fantastic and in our opinion a must do for people visiting Porto. Our guide and all the restaurants who welcomed us were outstanding. Highly recommended.

This was a great tour for us but we could see that it may not be right for everyone. We loved the up close experience we had to seeing the sights of Porto but in doing so you need to put your steep hill shoes on and be prepared to navigate some crazy streets and sidewalks. 100% ok for us but perhaps not for all. Our guide did a great job of looking after us.

Beautiful, breathtaking, spectacular scenery and a wonderful guide

This one is a “must” for visitors to Portugal. It will be an entire day excursion in a van but worth every minute in our opinion. We were also fortunate to have a tour guide at the “expert” level and one that even had a plan-B for every delay or possible interruption we encountered. This trip could not have gone more smoothly. Highly recommend.

This one experience made our entire 2 week visit to Portugal worthwhile. We were welcomed into the home of Sofia and Carlos and they immediately made us feel like family. We enjoyed a beautiful home cooked meal, we laughed, told stories, and were treated like friends. I cannot envision a more genuine experience when visiting Portugal and full credit goes to our hosts Sofia’s and Carlos for this night. This is not something that could be repeated by just any host - this couple is truly special and they deserve a huge thanks for being such great ambassadors for the wonderful country of Portugal.

This was a fantastic way to see Lisbon. However, it turned out that pretty much our entire bike ride was either flat or downhill. As a result, there was really no need for an e-bike. At the same time, it would have also been great to have an option, even at extra cost, to keep the bike beyond the tour for extra exploring. We saw so many sights and wanted to return for a better look and a bicycle is the perfect vehicle for the excursion.

Great experience and extremely worthwhile. We had set off to Madeira thinking that we would need to do several different tours of the island to see the highlights. Lo and behold, this one day trip in an open jeep took us to almost everywhere we had wanted to go. It was perfect and if one has only a few days to spend on Madeira then this is a great way to have a condensed high quality experience. Our tour guide was funny, informative, a great driver, and went above and beyond for everyone’s benefit. Job well done here.

This was an enjoyable experience and we were most grateful to see the Madeira shoreline by kayak and then to snorkel in the protected waters of the Atlantic. The facility we left shore from was first class. Our only concern on this trip was that the nice young man who was our guide was really put in a very difficult position. He never complained or asked for anyone’s help but he was expected to single handedly launch, and then lift 75 lb. kayaks up out of the ocean, and pull them solo up a 6 ft ladder with just a rope wrapped around his arm. He wouldn’t let his customers (us) help him and it’s a miracle he wasn’t physically injured by his job. We felt sorry for him and his employer should be checked for creating an unsafe work environment. I think the young man didn’t want to complain and we sensed that he greatly valued the job he’d been given. Just a bit sketchy to watch.

Our 3-night stay at Huize Welgelegen within the ARTIS zoo was nothing short of extraordinary. The location was superb, with easy access to transportation and a plethora of excellent dining options nearby. The highlight of our stay was the exclusive access to the zoo after hours—a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to observe the animals up close and personal, with the entire zoo to ourselves. This magical experience was a huge hit with our children and left an indelible mark on our memories and our favorite stay while in the Netherlands. The daily delivered breakfast, thoughtfully left in our fridge, added a delightful touch to our mornings. The historic charm of the home, juxtaposed with its modern and remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, provided a perfect blend of old-world elegance and contemporary comfort. The spacious layout allowed us to relax and unwind, with the primary bedroom offering breathtaking views of the zoo. Every detail, from the comfortable beds and bedding to the overall ambiance, contributed to a restful and rejuvenating experience. We highly recommend Huize Welgelegen for those seeking a unique and unforgettable retreat, as it truly offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience that surpasses expectations.

Our stay at Wikkelboats Wijnhaven in Rotterdam was a fantastic experience that catered perfectly to our family of four. The location was ideal, being conveniently close to all the amenities one could need in downtown Rotterdam. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the hot tub, which provided a luxurious and relaxing way to unwind after a day of exploring the city. The comfort of the beds was much appreciated, ensuring a restful night's sleep for all of us. Our stay at Daalder, the country cottage on Texel Island, was a delightful retreat that offered a clean and well-appointed space for our vacation. The presence of 1.5 bathrooms and shared laundry facilities was a convenient and welcomed perk, adding to the comfort and ease of our stay. The cottage lived up to its description, providing a peaceful atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and relax amidst the island's serene surroundings. While the location was tranquil and ideal for a peaceful getaway, it was a bit distant from most of the island's attractions and activities. However, this seclusion added a sense of tranquility to our stay, allowing us to truly disconnect and enjoy the natural beauty of Texel Island. The thoughtful welcome bag filled with Texel goodies was a charming gesture that added a touch of local flavor to our experience. The kids were thrilled to have their own room, adding an element of excitement and independence to their stay. Daalder on Texel Island provided a cozy and comfortable retreat that met our expectations and offered a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It's a recommended choice for those seeking a peaceful and idyllic escape in the heart of nature.

AMAZING - Astrid was great with the kids, food preferences and overall made the experience fun for the whole family. The biking made us a little nervous at first, but in the end, it was a fun addition to the trip and we can now say we biked in Rotterdam. Astrid did an incredible job of understanding we were still a little jet lagged and the kids being tweens and them not being fully engaged at all times. We were concerned with it being a private tour that there wouldn’t be anywhere to “hide” if we didn’t care for a food selected, but that was never an issue. Astrid was very understanding that we may not like/enjoy every food we tried. That made the whole experience more enjoyable as we didn’t have to pretend what we liked/didn’t care for. This also allowed us to try everything and not feel forced to eat the entire portions given if we didn’t want to. The tour was certainly more than just about food - but a cultural experience with traditional Dutch food along the way.

This food tour was truly delightful, offering us valuable insights into Rotterdam. The transition from Texel to Amsterdam felt quite overwhelming, yet Jelte's expertise truly helped us feel more connected to the city and appreciate its history and charm. Our son has a passion for architecture, and it was truly fascinating when Jelte, who holds a degree in architecture, shared intriguing insights about Amsterdam's architectural aspects during our tour. Jelte also interacted wonderfully with the kids and was empathetic to the fact that we might not enjoy everything we tasted. The only drawback of the tour was the repetition of foods we had already sampled in Rotterdam. However, the silver lining was comparing our preferences between the same dishes from Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Jelte was fantastic in offering us a new item to taste when we mentioned we had tried and disliked herring (we hear the taste grows on you). We certainly appreciated his flexibility and attentiveness he gave throughout the tour.

Our private canal boat tour in Amsterdam was a truly remarkable experience that brought a unique perspective to our exploration of the city's iconic waterways. The boat itself was impeccably clean and well-appointed, with thoughtful amenities like sunscreen, and beverages available for us, ensuring our comfort throughout the tour. Our guide Julian was not only informative but also engaging, making the tour both educational and entertaining. His insights and knowledge of the city added depth to our understanding of Amsterdam's rich history and culture. What set this tour apart was the flexibility it offered—we had the freedom to request specific sights or let our guide lead us to hidden gems and must-see locations, ensuring a personalized and enriching experience tailored to our preferences. Cruising along the canals in the comfort of our private boat, surrounded by the charm of Amsterdam, was an unforgettable experience that allowed us to immerse ourselves in the beauty and uniqueness of the city.

The hotel was in a perfect location for our daily activities. It mainly served as a place to rest our heads but the concierge was extremely helpful when needed. The room was a little warm, but that may be more due to Italian laws on air conditioning than anything else

Fantastic location! 2 minute walk to Mercato Centrale. 10 minute walk from the Duomo complex. 5 minute walk from the train station makes wheeling luggage a breeze. Great views from the rooftop

This is a beautiful hotel, located close to many activities, restaurants and the Castle. The Restaurant serves the best Breakfast that we had while traveling. The rooms were beautiful and the beds super comfortable.

Our first tour was the tapas tour -- It was so lovely -- there was food for every taste, and all of the locations were amazing. we couldn't believe the how much we learned and the presentation. Even the vegetarian, Pescatarian and children were happy. We were educated on Tapas and Cava and Vermouth -- which up to that point, we had never experienced. It flavored our entire vacation to try these things wherever we went and to have the confidence to eat off a Tapas menu throughout our visit. Our guide was Carla and we want to give her 5***** for guiding us through this experience and choosing such wonderful and varied things. It was a great start to our trip. We felt very pampered.

Our trip to Monjuic was wonderful and we loved our guide Eduardo. It was our first castle of the trip and the entire experience was fun and we liked the 1/2 day . We also liked the adventure of taking the gondola to the top of Montjuic. We don't remember visiting the Olympic Barcelona, but perhaps we spent too much time in the castle. We were also a bit late arriving at our meeting point due to the train being unavailable for us.

We all loved Gaudi -- we were happy with Dani and the trip to see la Familia Sagrada and Casa Mila. Dani was an excellent guide for us because he told us things then allowed us to explore at our own speed. He would always seem to be available when we had questions, but gave us the opportunity to see what we wanted. He was especially knowledgeable about the Family Sagrada. He had worked there at one time and the information he shared of the stages of development went back 30 years. The only downside was that the day was too short and I didn't see enough Gaudi! The visit to the park Guell was self guided, but I think we could have used some more guidance. We separated and found we all saw different things.

Tossa de Mar -- we can't say enough about how much we liked this whole day and our guide Vicente. We all loved him and the tour. He gave us lots of info, was fun, good with the children and lots of personal time to explore. He found a nice place to have lunch - we really enjoyed our day.

Tarragona - we liked the town of Tarragona. Eduard was good, and very knowledgeable, and those of us who loved Roman history really enjoyed it. It was a short drive and we are glad we went. The Roman ruins were great and we liked walking around the town. We didn't get to walk into any of the ancient ruins or the castle, only view them from outside.

Exceeded expectations. We could have easily watched for another half hour. Everyone, including the 4 year old was mesmerized. 5*****. The singer was exceptional. The tapas afterwards were average bar food, but with excellent service.

-- While we liked Cardona, we didn't care for our guide Ramon who didn't stick to the schedule that was proposed to us nor did he allow us any private time in the Castle part. He visited the Castle and the salt mine first, but we didn't get to go into the town, which sounded very interesting. We always enjoyed walking around old castle towns and seeing the Gothic and Romanesque buildings, however, we went to the castle and then the Salt mine first, and when asked about the town, he said it wasn't worth seeing Cardona because it was now closed. He then tried to convince us to go to Montserrat, which we were scheduled for a half day two days later. He said that is what he always did -- he confessed he didn't look at our itinerary. We cut the day short because we were really quite tired of this guide. He wasn't good with the children, in fact they chose to stay home the following day. We felt he was boring and repetitive and while he we knowledgeable, we had to hear everything repetitively. We didn't enjoy our visit to Cardona. The salt mine, however was self guided. We couldn't give Ramon more than a 2** for his lack of following the schedule and annoying manner.

There were only 5 of us on this trip (as the family with children decided to stay home from the experience the day before), but those remaining enjoyed the visit to Girona. The guide Dulce, contacted me well in advance to find out more about us. That was the first guide to do that. We mentioned that in Girona we wanted to see the Game of Thrones sites, and she studied up on it so she knew where they were. She scored. I liked what she had to say and what she showed us. We also liked the Dali Museum . The only downside of this day was how crowded the Dali house was and the long drive. Afterwards she sent us some pictures she had taken of us. I would say Girona was one of the highlights of the trip.

We had Jordi for this tour and we all liked him very much -- he was our kind of guide-- informative, and adventurous, he had a friend who stayed behind with my daughter who didn't feel she could walk back from the summit and was conscientious about where we were at all time. We love this type of guide. It was a great trip. It is such a spiritual place, both the mountain and the Monastery. We got a chance to light a candle for a special person who died a week after returning home. It was a special moment and we would like to thank the guide for giving us the private time to do this.

25 It was fun for everyone to take the fast train to Lleida. None of us had ever been on one. We liked very much having the seats that faced each other with the table in the middle -- thanks for arranging that. We were new to fast trains and played cards with the children . It all went very smoothly and the Parador Hotel Lleida was amazing. we all loved the rooms, the service the breakfast and the location. Thanks for arranging it for us. We also enjoyed the guide Jaume and the visit to La Seu Vella, the Gothic-Romanesque cathedral. We went back several times during our Llieda visit to look around some more and appreciate his introduction to the city and especially the explanation of all of the yellow and red striped flags.

Now we come to our favorite guide of all. As much as we enjoyed the other guides, Miguel was over the top. 10********* I can't even explain how good he was except that he made sure we enjoyed every second. He knew a lot about the geology of the area, the history and spoke loudly enough that even my husband who was hard of hearing could hear. He was conscious of the interests of every person and we would rank him among some of the best guides we’ve ever used during our travel history. We felt blessed to have him for two days in Lleida (and again two days in Zaragosa with just Kim and I). He sent us an itinerary of way too many places to visit in one day, and we only made it to three each day, which was just perfect because it allowed us to explore and feel the history while he shared just the right bits with us. We often felt rushed along to match timelines from other guides. This never happened with Miguel. If he had made an appointment with a host to show us something special, he let us know in the morning what those times were so we could make choices in order to make the appointments. In addition, he would kindly tell a guide that they weren’t needed any more if he found that they weren’t as knowledgeable as he had hoped. One castle in particular that we visited was the highlight of the entire trip. Castell Montsonis. It is a castle that has always been lived in by Nobility and they have kept the castle in good condition. There was so much to see we really felt we were seeing something special and the Host guide Jaume was humorous and pulled all of in to the history of Castle Montsonis , which even had a dungeon with chains. On the 2nd day with Miguel, we had our most picturesque day. Went into the edge of Pyrenees mountains following the river where there were many Castles on the mountain tops. Everywhere you looked there were old castle towns or lookout towers and Hermitages. We felt like we stepped back into history. I took way too many pictures, it was so beautiful and we loved feeling we were part of history, in addition we got to see what we all labeled as Rapunzel's tower and even got to climb to the top on a very narrow winding stairway. It was fun even those too nervous to climb.

Zaragoza was a beautiful city and we enjoyed our short visit, but would have liked to have more time there! Our Guide, Leyre, was excellent and we liked visiting both the old town, the Cathedral de Pilar and the palace de Aljaferia. The guide directed us to restaurants in the TUBE where we found a great restaurant to eat, with enough time remaining to make it to the Palace in time for our tour with her. We enjoyed the day and the train ride was again very pleasurable.

Place was clean and people were kind and helpful, however the bathroom smelled like sewage :(

The Owners and staff were the absolute best, they were kind and friendly and helpful and by the time we left we felt a hug was in order to say goodbye. The Breakfast served each day was second to none. Fresh fruit and yogurt and croissant and a soft-boiled egg ....YUMMY !! Also, the Pool side adult beverages were delicious and fresh as well. They helped us with local restaurants we could walk to and gave us tips on the bus and the sights to see

The staff at the Sorgo Palace worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort. the rooms ar small but immacualtely clean, great shower, air conditioning and walking distance to eveything. The proprietress even got up at 6am to make bag lunches for us becasue we were going to be gone before breakfast on one of our days there.

WOW! Stunning hotel, location by the beaches, pool, large beds, great AC. I have never seen a breakfast like this one!! there were more delicious food offerings here than one person could possibly enjoy. the staff at the Hotel President beach could not have been more friendly and accomodating. We felt truly spoiled here!
