We started off in Buenos Aires with a walking food tour. Lucy was a fantastic guide, she explained their culture with such passion. Highly recommend the food tour. We enjoyed the tango dinner and dancing. Loved Palo Santo Hotel, it was quaint and comfortable. Bariloche was an incredible experience. We really enjoyed Facu, our guide for the few days we were there. So kind and personable. He went all out on our boating trip for the day, I would highly recommend the boat trip. El Chalten was stunning! Our hotel Los Cerros was very nice. Super friendly staff, the restaurant and bar was delicious . The Selena Hotel in El Calafate was a great hotel. The Glacier Trek was out of this world cool! The guides were informative and very good at what they do. The only issue we had was our pick up at the hotel was 30 minutes late so we ran the entire tour late. Leaving El Calafate and heading to Torres Del Piane was a long drive but well worth it. Our driver (we had private transfers hired through KIMKIM) was erratic and we had a few scary moments in the van., I would not recommend this driver but we don't know his name. Torres Del Piane was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Las Torres Hotel was an incredible experience. The rooms were great, the food was outstanding as were the drinks. We did the Lookout hike , Tenga Forest hike and the Lagoon excursion. All were incredible.
Leaving Torres to Puerto Natales- Our van pickup was 40 minutes late leaving us to try and find other transportation. He finally arrived and drove in a very unsafe manor to get us to the airport on time. He was going way over the speed limit. It was not appreciated at all. I would not use this driver again. Our hotel in Santiago was great. Paulo worked a miracle and got some champaign for my birthday. Hotel Ismael was very nice with great staff.
Paulo was a great tour director for our entire trip. He communicated with us often and helped us with some flight issues when the strike in Argentina occurred. It was nice to meet him in Buenos Aires, it put a personal stamp on the trip.

The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because of our transportation issues with the vans.

The Aldebaran Hotel & Spa was very good overall, but we chose not to spend an extra night there because it was located about seventeen kilometers outside of Bariloche. We preferred being closer to town with more amenities. We were aware of its location beforehand, so it was expected. The hotel itself was great, just not as centrally located as we would have preferred.

In February, 2026 our family of six adults toured Egypt on an itinerary put together with Habiba.
kimkim has a set itinerary for each country for a set number of days, typically seven or fourteen days. The client then has the opportunity to modify the itinerary to suit their needs.
Habiba worked with us to develop the tour that satisfied our requests and desires. After the initial contact with each other she set about making up an itinerary. Once we received it we began the long process of giving ideas to her which lead to new itineraries. This process went on until we were happy with the itinerary. We then paid our deposit and waited. Habiba handled all of the paperwork at her end to make sure all the tickets and passes were ready for us. Even as the trip was almost ready to begin our daughter made a request to see another site not originally part of the itinerary and Habiba was able to find a time to work it into the new itinerary. We were happy with the final itinerary and with Habiba for how she was always pleasant and eager to come up with a memorable family vacation.
We had asked for a private tour for the six of us and while this option was more expensive than a group tour we were more comfortable having our own private 12 seater Toyota van accompanied by our driver and guide.
In Cairo our guide Osama and driver Ahmed picked us up at the airport and took us to our hotel. We had asked Habiba to select a hotel with more character than hotels favoured by Americans and she suggested Le Riad Hotel de Charme on El Moez Street. It was a terrific choice! Most tourists want to visit the historic sites which are fabulous but what really makes Egypt memorable is the chaos and that was on full display on El Moez. It is exciting and exhilarating and if you don't experience it then you haven't seen Egypt.
Our guide for the Pyramids and mosques and temples over the next three days was Mahmoud who was passionate about his country and history and caring about us in answering our questions.
We were driven to Alexandria by Ahmed to spend a night then boarded a sleeper train in the following evening to go to Aswan. The sleeper car had been recently refurbished and was quite comfortable. A dining car on the train would have made the experience even better but it was still quite good,
We had chosen a somewhat remote hotel across the river from Aswan but Habiba made sure to have a company representative meet us at the train station and escort us to and from the hotel which was an adventure in itself. The hotel was called Kato Dool Resort and it was terrific!
Aswan is the most scenic of the cities we visited although the Corniche in Alexandria is beautiful.
Eslam was our guide in Aswan and he was very knowledgeable about the various sites we explored. He helped us board our river boat for the cruise down the Nile and then met us Kom Ombo and Luxor for other temple tours. Kom Ombo was disappointing in that it was extremely busy with many cruise boats all arriving at the same time creating a crush of tourists all trying to see the wonderful temple but being pressured to hurry because so many other people were waiting.
We were told by Eslam the scheduling culprit is the government but it is unfortunate we felt so pressured and we didn't get to fully appreciate the temple.
Luxor has two wonderful temples but again I feel we weren't given enough time to get the full experience there.
The cruise boat was very nice with a good buffet for each meal and the cabin was comfortable.
One of the pleasant surprises of the tour was watching the boat vendors tie up to the cruise boat while underway and start selling their wares. That was quite fun to watch.
We were driven to Hurghada to stay in an all-inclusive resort which was very, very nice!
The next day was our snorkeling day, a terrific day out on the Red Sea with some beautiful coral and tropical fish to admire. We were very pleased with this activity however the next day was a big disappointment.
It was our safari day and it was not what was advertised. My advice to kimkim and any potential traveler is to skip this activity, it is a very obvious tourist trap and does nothing to enhance the Egyptian experience. kimkim, stop offering this activity!
With that bad taste still in our mouth the next day we boarded a plane to Cairo for our final two days. We lodged at the Steigenberger Hotel in El Tahrir, a departure from the character hotels but we wanted to be in a different part of the city this time.
We had booked a food tour which was advertised as an eight hour event but because of Ramadan it got shortened and then substituted with a city lights tour conducted by Osama. This tour was enjoyable enough but we had expected a full food tour for the foodies in our family so it was a bit disappointing we couldn't have it. My advice to kimkim and any agent working on itineraries is to not offer the food tour during Ramadan.
So then it was time to leave and once again Osama was our guide to the airport. With our goodbyes came the end of the trip.

Le Riad de Charme in Cairo is a very nice hotel with beautiful suites. However, it is situated in a noisy spot in the center of El Moez Street. If you choose to stay here, be prepared for the noise, but the location is exciting, and the restaurant serves good food with excellent service.

Steigenberger El Tahrir in Cairo was a very nice hotel. It was more quiet than our previous accommodations, and it offered an excellent breakfast, probably the best of the whole trip.

M/S Concerto II Nile Cruise

M/S Concerto II Nile Cruise was a great experience. The cabins were really nice, the buffet was good, and cruising on the Nile was a beautiful and relaxing experience. Watching sellers on their boats tie up to the boat was particularly fun.

Kato Dool Wellness Resort

Kato Dool Wellness Resort in Nubia is an excellent resort with fabulous views of the Nile and very nice facilities. It was an exceptional experience staying here.

Windsor Palace Hotel

Windsor Palace Hotel in Alexandria was once a very nice hotel. However, the rooms are a bit tired, and the carpets and paint need updating. There was an issue with getting our scheduled ride to the train station, leading to some frustration. Still, the hotel itself was quite pleasant.

The only bad day of our tour. The quad and spider driving was okay but limited and the Bedouin village was not a village at all and to top it off was a ridiculous three minute camel ride. Just a very poor experience and not worth doing and for kimkim it should be removed from the optional activities list. Get rid of it!

I was lucky that I had time to travel Argentina for 9 weeks. I knew before that I wanted to visit Buenos Aires, to hike in Patagonia, to enjoy wines in Mendoza, to explore the region around Salta and to see the amazing falls of Iguazu.
With this information I started here on this site (kimkim) and asked for support. Micaela did an amazing job by putting all the things together, she even added Santiago de Chile, Puerto Varas, Bariloche and Puerto Madryn to my trip which were not in my focus. She booked all domestic flights, all accomodations and transfers (hotel <–> airport) and of course the tours.
Everything went as planned .. and whenever something changed or was not perfect (due to unforeseen circumstances) Milagros took care about it, organized it and led me know of the newest state.
There were no negative surprises .. all went as expected. For me it would have been nearly impossible to put all the pieces together and to deal with changes during my trip .. you made my travel so easy! Thank you, Micaela and Milagros, for your work and effort before and during my trip!

We worked with Sarah and her team to plan our honeymoon to the Philippines, and she was truly incredible from start to finish. During the planning process, she was extremely helpful, responsive, and thoughtful with every detail, from mapping out excursions and coordinating airport transfers. She made everything feel seamless and stress‑free.
Once we arrived, any small hiccups that came up (on the vendor side, never from Sarah’s team) were handled immediately. She and her team were always just a message away, and their quick action made us feel completely taken care of throughout the trip.
One of the highlights was a surprise beachfront lunch with champagne that Sarah arranged for us during one of our excursions. It was such a beautiful touch and made our honeymoon feel even more special and personalized.
We can’t recommend Sarah enough.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience working with Kimkim travel. I had never heard of this company, which made me rather hesitant. I was immediately put at ease by their direct communication and responsiveness from start to finish. Hugo Romero, our incredible travel agent, listened very carefully to our interests and responded quickly as our plans evolved. His accessibility via email and video call made the process tangible, reassuring and exciting. Ibis, our “travel companion”, was truly amazing. Before our trip we had a wonderful phone call to iron out details of the itinerary. She made it clear that she was available to us for any questions or concerns. She was in contact with us every day, making sure that each transition was seamless and that our every concern was addressed. Our drivers and guides were all very professional, knowledgeable and reliable.

Hugo created an amazing experience that allowed us to appreciate the stunning beauty and rich culture of the Yucatan Peninsula. The specific experiences were all beyond our expectations. Our amazing tour of Rio Lagartos Biosphere Reserve was filled with incredible wildlife encounters and was followed by a delicious meal in the home of our captain. His wonderful family welcomed us with such kindness that it felt like an all-to-short home stay. Our guide at Chichén Itza was a lovely elderly Mayan gentleman who shared his deep passion and knowledge. Our time in the Mayan community of Yaxunah was phenomenal. It was a privilege to be in this beautiful setting, learning of the history and traditions surrounding the preparation of delicious Cochinita Pib. Meters away was the Lol Ha cenote, where we were the only ones swimming in this peaceful, magical place.

Our trip coincided with an unfortunate moment of unrest following the death of a cartel leader. While we never felt any personal risk, we decided to end our trip early as there were shelter-in-place orders along the Mayan Riviera, which was to be our next destination. Ibis and Hugo were both reassuring of our safety and understanding of our decision. They supported us completely as we revised our travel plans. Due to their great effort and the generosity of the tour operators, we were reimbursed for all our missed activities. While we were saddened to miss out on the experiences, it was beyond reassuring to feel that this travel company was looking out for our best interests and responsive to our every need. I can say with great confidence that we look forward to working with them in the future as we are eager to return to Mexico.

We cannot thank Kim Kim and Emerson enough for curating such a wonderful trip for us-- my husband and I spent 10 days in Finland, and it was the best time. The tours that were planned included a good variety of local history and landmarks (both in Helsinki and Estonia) and outdoor active adventures (like snowmobiling, dogsledding, snowshoeing). It was great to not have to think about getting uber rides to and from the tours or the airport for pickup-- everything was ready and made the trip so much more relaxing. Additionally, breakfast was included each morning, another cognitive offload that was nice.

The dogsledding and reindeer tours, as well as the snowmobiling, were highlights of the trip. These excursion were immersive, and we felt like you truly had plenty of time to experience the activity, as opposed to ones we have had (for example on an alaskan cruise during port excurisions) that are rushed and truncated. You felt like you got a full experience and left feeling thrilled and fulfilled.

We will definitely be using Kim Kim in the future, and thank Emerson for such a wonderfully planned vacation. We will cherish those memories for a lifetime!

We were lucky and had a private tour for this adventure which was great. It was nice to be active and outside! The coolest part of the excursion however was stopping in a local teepee type tent and our guide telling stories about his family and the local Sami people, and a bit about historic Finnish culture, while enjoying a warm drink. It was great!

We lucked out and ended up having just my husband and I on the tour, which was a pleasant surprise. This allowed great individualized time with the guide, who was so very friendly and fun. When I was a little hesitant about driving my own snowmobile, he was encouraging and his positivity convinced me-- I'm so glad I drove my own and had the BEST time doing it! While it was cloudy this night and we didn't see any northern lights, we had ample opportunity the remainder of the trip to make up for it.

This was the only tour that did not stand out as amazing for us on our trip. We drove around the local area and the guide pointed out Finnish homes and a small old village, as well as local natural landmarks--the lakes, etc. We took a quick trip to the top of the Pyha ski resort by lift, and stopped at the small visitor center just before closing. The guide was very friendly and nice, I just don't think this added too much to our experience of the area. (I may have mistakenly gone into this tour thinking we would get more about the Sami culture, history of the world wars in the area, etc., and it was more just a local drive). Pleasant and relaxing, just nothing remarkable.

Blue Lagoon Comfort Admission

Perfectly timed to go straight to the Blue Lagoon from the airport. Luggage storage was easy to access and use. Transportation to and from the Lagoon was easy to use and staff very friendly. The Lagoon is so large that it’s easy to find a quiet place to sit and take it all in. I ate lunch at the Lava restaurant: one of the best mushroom soups I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend.

From the impressive archaeological sites of Dambulla and Polonnaruwa to the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, each experience was carefully scheduled to maximize enjoyment while avoiding unnecessary fatigue. Communication was clear, adjustments were handled efficiently, and every service reflected genuine care and professionalism.

Sri Lanka stands out as a destination offering remarkable diversity within short travel distances, culture, wildlife, landscapes, and warm hospitality and this journey showcased it in an authentic and meaningful way.

Monika planned an amazing trip for us!!! She was able to alter the itinerary on short notice when we were invited to hike with friends in another part of New Zealand. She was super attentive to our needs and planned days and lodging which fit our particular requests. Monika was available when the weather caused us to change plans and was at the ready any time we needed her. We cannot say enough good things about Monika and the kimkim process which enabled us to have the trip of a lifetime. We would highly recommend both Monika and kimkim for any future travel needs (fyi...we have used kimkim in the past always with similar happy experiences in diverse parts of the world).

This is a basic hotel with all that we needed. I would give it a 5 but some folks may disagree with me because it is not 'high-end'. We needed a room for 2 nights knowing we would use it only to sleep and do a final pack. It more than accommodated us. We had room to spread out, washer/dryer to help deal with soaked dirty clothing before packing for a 28 hour flight. It is a 10 minute or so walk from the grocery store, Subway, local movie theater (see the short documentary about the fjordlands). We were totally happy and had no complaints

All of our guides and drivers were on time and did a great job of driving in a very mountainous country with narrow roads. Our guide to our visit to the cloud forest was very informative. We booked an optional night tour through our hotel. It was also excellent. You might consider adding that to your itineraries.
Our guide through the rain forest seemed to be in a hurry. This was a once in a lifetime visit for us. I would have liked to hear more about the flora surrounding us. All of our other guides had a lot to say about what we were seeing.

My wife and I went to New Zealand to celebrate our fortieth wedding anniversary and we had a fantastic trip! Michele was able to listen to what places and activities we were looking to experience and she was integral in helping us to accomplish those goals. The hotels were clean with friendly staff and transfers between locations went smoothly. We especially enjoyed biking through the wineries outside of Queenstown and the wine tasting trip via ferry to Waiheke Island. The overnight cruise in the Doubtful Sound was spectacular with great food and hospitality. Kayaking on Tasman Lake in the Mt Cook area and chipping and chewing on one -thousand year ice was sweet! I had beautiful day fly-fishing catching brown trout outside of Nelson. These were just a few of the amazing experiences we had traversing the countryside of New Zealand

The trip to Marrakesh was amazing. The walking tour guide Mohamed was brilliant.
Our driver Soufiyan who took us around is a good driver.
Our hike in the Atlas mountain with Latifa was very enjoyable.
She helped me a lot over the rough patches and climbs and really took good care of us.

Hotel stays at Marrakech and Essaouira was perfect.
The desert camp was good but felt a bit rough around the edges as I believe it was a newer property.

Hugo curated our perfect Bavarian adventure! It started in historic Munich where Hugo provided us with an amazing tour guide, Yves. This private tour was intimate, educational and above all, fascinating. Hugo planned exceptional dinners each night. He also arranged our private transfer to the ski resort, Kitzbuhel. Our time in Kitzbuhel was complete with mountain lunch dining with breath taking views of the alps. After our ski adventure, Hugo planned our final destination, Salzburg. The 5 start hotel, city tours, dining experiences were exceptional. In addition, Hugo was accessible 24/7. We truly appreciated that he was just a text away whenever we had a question. Hugo went above and beyond for us. His kind and upbeat demeanor was a joy to work with. We will never forget our time in Bavaria. Thank you Hugo!

Camila and Flora were fantastic. All the various excursions were executed to the utmost degree. If meals were included they were so delicious and bountiful. What we appreciated most was when there was an Aviation Labor Department strike and our flight was canceled, Camila stepped in and rebooked us the next day while we were still enjoying our day excursion.
From pickups at the airport to transfers to the next place, every service was on time and led by friendly knowledgeable staff.

This was an absolutely incredible trip and Kimkim and Cory made the planning and traveling process as easy and smooth as could be. Our travel specialist, Coraima, did a magnificent job discovering our preferences then creating the perfect travel experience for mother-daughter trip to Madrid and Sevilla. This is an easy day trip to the coast. I had no idea that Cadiz has such a rich history. Add the Andalusian Horse show just to witness something you may never see again. I learned a lot about Sherry but didn't personally care for it. It is an interesting tour though. Prepare for lots of traffic on the way back. Our driver made the most of it and gave us extra history lessons. We returned around 6pm.
