Our coordinator, Andrea, was immediately and consistently available both before and during our visit (including the weekends!) and quickly helped to make last-minute adjustments as competing priorities dictated. Every service, including four expert tour guides (for museums, the Duomo, the Uffizi and Lake Como) were expert, polite, engaging and prompt. Every arranged driver for transitions and trips were punctual, polite and professional. And, the surprise highlight was the great "off the beaten path" experience of truffle hunting in the Tuscan countryside, and then transforming those truffles ourselves into homemade tagliatelle and ravioli pasta with locals hosts, who then served us in an outdoor balcony with a view of vineyards, farms and forests! Overall, Andrea, very well done and we were able to go at our own pace and still experience more than just the highlights, but also expert insights into our Florence, Lugano and Lake Como adventure.

Truffle Hunt and Cooking Class in Tuscany Countryside

The family and team here (3 generations!) are expert in the truffle trade, with a local farmstead with an excellent view of vineyards, farms and forests. Their well-trained and engaging truffle-hunting dogs were a hit and, within only a short walking distance, we were able to see multiple examples of the soils and trees that are best for production of truffles. We then transitioned with our guides into the "house" for our hands-on pasta making experience, including tagliatelle and ravioli including those same black truffles the dogs just found along our walk. The whole team is quite engaging and we even enjoyed getting to meet other fellow travelers experiencing the same while on their vacations. Highly recommend.

Our main guides Pukie and Ron were terrific. They were so helpful and friendly and provided so much interesting information about everything we saw. In fact all our guides from the Baan Chang Elephant Park to Thonburi were excellent. We loved having private guides to show us sites off the beaten path (my favorite was Wat Thong Noppakhun--like no other temple we saw in Thailand!) Our hotels were generally very comfortable. We would not hesitate to recommend Lacey's services for planning a trip to Thailand.

Our trip was carried out true to the plan except on Day 6.
First, we didn't have the correct meeting time. It says 8:00am on the sheet but the driver said it's 9:00am.
Then the local guide is a different person as it shows on the sheet. (But she's a very good guide)
The route is also different. We didn't go anywhere before riding the speed boat to visit places. We hop on directly onto the speed boat cruising around and stopped to visit an estate.
It would be nice if changes made and we are informed.

What an awesome trip! I have always planned trips on my own but wanted to personalize this trip for my granddaughters. Linda was nothing short of amazing and helped me to find the perfect tours that met my goal as well as pleasing the adults. When I had ideas, Linda would explore options, would explain why/why not it might be feasible, and/or would come up with additional suggestions. Every single day was a win when it came to experiences. John and Steig, our city tour guides, catered to our 2-62 year old group, Captain Tor was truly incredible and a family favorite. Glacier tours, Viking Village, swimming in fjords, troll forests, driving to mountaintops, Stave churches, Flam Railroad, and so much more! When Kimkim states they are always available, they are. We lost two pieces of baggage and they helped us navigate the airline (on the weekend and off hours.) When I broke my arm, they told me where the clinic was once I got off the ferry. This was critical! Finally, they still offered suggestions while we were on the trip. This wasn't we've got your money and we are done. I will definitely use Kimkim for future travel and highly recommend you give them a try.

Mathia listened and planned the trip that we wanted. He would have helped with all our Norway trip, but we only needed help planning the road trip portion. Not being the usual travelers, we wanted to experience the Kystriksveien Highway (Norwegian Coastal Highway). He created a driving trip with accommodations and activities (kayaking and guided hiking) along the way. Accommodations exceeded our expectations. Dinner at Vega Havhotell was the best meal on our 21 day trip. Once we arrived in Norway, Mathia arranged for a call, checking to make sure we were comfortable with our driving schedule. He was able to make a last minute change in accommodations to better suit our driving plans. He not only provided ferry schedules for Highway 17 but emailed daily to determine how things were going.
We definitely would recommend Mathia and kimkim to assist with travel planning. They listen and tailor a trip to suit individual needs. Knowing that Mathia or another associate was available 24 hours a day was reassuring; we know help was available should a problem arise.

We had a 10 days most amazing tour of Japan thanks to our wonderful tour organizer Sandy who had put together a package covering just about every important site seeing spots and more , the tour guides were all anxious to teach us many important points, the accommodations were all very well chosen in best locations with reasonable prices, and considering we were stuck with a worst typhoon, she was able to change around on the spot

Serendipity Adventures were excellent! It was so helpful to have a local connection on the ground to help with everything from driving directions to restaurant recommendations to confirming our upcoming reservations. Wilman even managed to get us a better room at one resort. Rio Celeste Hideaway and Luna Lodge were two highlights of the trip. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing 9 days travelling in Paris and Tours as well as the countryside in the Loire Valley. Aline was such a huge help to me to create a trip my whole family was willing to get on a plane for. Biking through the forests to find castles to tour was just incredible and something we will never forget!
Using Kimkim let us balance my desire for all the details to be worked out ahead of time and my husbands idea to just show up and wander. Aline was able to find solutions to the (maybe odd?) requests my two teenagers had and she was always available to help us out when we got stuck. Overall great trip, Thank you!

Nicholas helped us plan and experience highlights of Kenya in a trip well tailored to our family of 6 (including children ages 8 through 13). He was very knowledgeable, flexible, and professional in ensuring that our trip went smoothly and maximized everyone's enjoyment.

We enjoyed a full 4-day itinerary in Nairobi to enjoy some city experiences before heading out on safari. We enjoyed the David Sheldrick's rehabilitation center, the Nairobi national park, the Giraffe center, the Bomas of Kenya homesteads, and the Nairobi national museum. Transportation to and from these locations was comfortable and smooth, in a minivan that fit all of us easily. We hesitate to give a full 5 stars for the Nairobi stay only because our hotel (Fair Acres Boutique), while it was comfortable and nicely located, hosted a large party (conference? wedding?) on our final night there and loud music/speeches kept us all up close to 1am. This was just as we had finally recovered from jet lag so made the following day a bit of a struggle.

Our next stop was Ol Pejeta, where we enjoyed 2 nights at the Sweetwaters Serena camp (beautiful grounds right within the conservancy, including a watering hole frequented by many animals day and night; cozy and well appointed tents; great meals in a beautiful central lodge; very kind and thoughtful staff). Nicholas took us on safari throughout the conservancy and also to visit various programs including the Chimp exhibit and a Rhino rescue center.

Next we spent two nights at the Sopa Lodges in Naivasha, where we enjoyed a boat tour of the lake and a walk on Crescent Island - for beautiful distinctive scenery compared to the prior few days at Ol Pejeta. Sopa Lodge was a very impressive property - comfortable rooms within private cottages, spread across large lake-front grounds with tropical landscaping. Another excellent dining experience with a large buffet for every meal and very kind staff.

Our final stop was 3 nights in Maasai Mara, where we stayed at the Ashnil Mara camp. Another excellent lodging option - comfortable and cozy tents, beautiful dining/common area with views of the river (and occasional hippos/crocodiles), bar with a firepit, pool that the kids enjoyed greatly, fantastic food and very friendly staff. Nicholas again took us on game drives each day (based on the frequency/duration we were looking for) which were highly successful thanks to his knowledge of the park and connections with other guides.

Nicholas was an excellent host throughout the week - always pleasant, open to changes in the itinerary, ready to offer his recommendations, eager to get to know us. Our itinerary required lots of driving (3-5h between destinations, plus the game drives) on roads of varying quality and often with hectic traffic. He is an excellent driver and his 4WD vehicle was roomy enough for all 6 of us plus our luggage, and well suited for safari drives with its pop-up roof... however I would have felt a bit safer (especially on the long highway commutes) if it had cross-body seatbelts rather than just lap belts.

Overall, this is a trip that we invested a large amount of time and effort in planning, and it turned out even better than our high expectations, thanks to the dedication and expertise of Nicholas. Would not hesitate to recommend other travelers to work with Nicholas to enjoy a tailored visit to Kenya.

Awesome trip, well planned and perfectly executed, from the start, the day we arrived on the 15th in London to the last day the 24th in Edinburgh. The Wellington Hotel by Blue Orchid in London and Leonardo Royal Hotel in Edinburgh was perfect, centrally located, and walking distance from all the meeting points / attractions. The schedule was very well planned with plenty of downtime to enjoy family time and relaxed dinners.
Our trip included view the changing of the guards, the war museum, was memorable. The private Jane Austen tour was fantastic, our guide Kevin was very knowledgeable provided unique insight. Our trip to the stone hedge, Dover castle, Canterbury, Cliffs and Kent was a lot of fun and got to see some of the less tourist traveled locations.

In Edinburgh, the visit to the Castle and watching the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo was the a great start on the first day. Planning a trip to Edinburgh again just to watch the Military Tattoo again soon. Our Whiskey tour with Graham (driver / guide) was amazing made the trip informative and very enjoyable. Trip to Lock Lomond and Stirling castle with Pete (driver / guide) was fantastic and got some great family pictures.
Overall, my family and I enjoyed the trip and created awesome family memories. Thank you Jane and Sarah for putting together a great travel itinerary and executing it flawlessly.

This was our first time in Costa Rica, and the entire experience was wonderful!

We’re grateful to have worked with kimkim, especially Olman, who made planning so much easier. From the start, Olman was responsive and attentive to our travel requests, and his insights were invaluable when planning our activities. Everything during our vacation went smoothly—our transportation was always on time, our accommodations had amazing rooms with stunning views, and our prepaid excursions made check-in easy. We appreciated Olman’s thoughtful itinerary, which included time to rest after travel and between activities. His planning helped us avoid fatigue and fully enjoy our trip. Graciela also reached out as a point of contact during our stay in Costa Rica, which provided a sense of reassurance even though we didn’t need any assistance.

Here are some specific highlights:

La Fortuna: It took about 2.5 hours to reach La Fortuna from San Jose airport. Our driver, Leo, was incredibly kind, pointing out sights and offering to stop along the way. We loved staying at Los Lagos. Our room was within walking distance of the hot springs with a view of Arenal Volcano. Our tour with North Adventures, led by Monica and Caylor, was exceptional. They even spotted a three-toed sloth on the way to an activity and stopped for photos. Monica seamlessly switched between Spanish and English for our small group and offered great food recommendations in La Fortuna. The included lunch at Restaurante Las Tablas provided incredible casado with fish and chilera.

Monteverde: The lake crossing from La Fortuna to Monteverde was stunning. We stayed at Hotel Ficus, and it was our favorite place during the vacation. The reception staff—Dylan, Aylin, and Anna—were extremely kind and helpful. The town was close enough to walk to and far enough to avoid traffic noise. We were also lucky with our tour guides at Don Juan, Treetopia (Jason, Sebastian, Greivin, Daniel), and the night tour with Cristian.

Gulf of Papagayo: Our hotel, Bosque Del Mar, had beautiful rooms and was just a short walk from the beach, which felt almost private due to the lack of crowds. It was farther away from stores so we needed to take a taxi but it wasn’t an issue. The reception staff was very helpful and assisted us in booking a last-minute catamaran excursion (Marlin Del Rey) on our final day. We saw whales and snorkeled, and it was the perfect way end to our vacation in Costa Rica.

We had an amazing experience in Indonesia with Yuqqa from Kimkim!
From the very beginning we discussed plans that worked for my whole family and for different reasons we had to change them a few times, Yuqqa patiently helped us until we could finally get a very detailed full itinerary.
From then and until we came back home we felt accompanied by Yuqqa, sending her questions of any kind at any time of the day that were responded promptly. If any issues arouse she would quickly find a way to work around it and listened to our feedback.
All the activities she booked for us were of quality, the drivers and guides were super professional and lovely people, they would give the extra mile to help us and make us feel comfortable.
We learnt a lot from the Indonesian culture, we visited many interesting places like the Brahmavihara Monastery and the floating temple, staying on a boat in Komodo was a great idea and this let us enjoy amazing sunrises and sunsets on the boat, fantastic snorkeling plus swimming with manta rays and visiting the pink beach. Some activities like rafting and quads were great adventures and again of quality, trekking up Mount Batur to enjoy the sunrise is something we'll never forget. I can continue describing the amount of things that we did and we enjoyed them all!
So the only thing remaining is to thank Yuqqa for her extensive help during our trip. We will never forget it!

Experience VW Safari Car Tour - Ubud

We loved our guides and going in those open cars was fun. We had fun and learnt a lot. It's a bit sad that some places became a bit instagramable like the ricefields but we loved the nature part.

It's an amazing experience! getting to the top and wait for the sunrise was somehting we'll never forget. It was a challenging trek and also very cold on top but definitely worth it. You even get a small breakfast on top.

We took a two-week trip in August of 2024, which was organized by Majid.

We loved our trip! The itinerary was perfect, with just the right amount of time at each location. The accommodations were very nice, and the local guides were great. Majid did a fantastic job of organizing the whole thing.

The best part of the trip was our driver/guide, Ismael. He has the perfect personality for the job: fun, well-informed, and kind. He was a great driver and a very interesting person to chat with during the drives from one location to the next. The whole family missed him on the days we were not with him. By the end of the trip, it felt like he was part of the family.

Also, the WIFI in the van was a very nice touch.

Overall, we could not be happier with our experience with our tour.

Mathia and colleagues were very helpful, obliging and efficient throughout the process including during the trip when we required various changes to the schedule.

First and foremost, a huge thank you to Maria with KimKim for her expertise in coordinating our trip! The accommodations were all unique, comfortable and perfect regarding locations. The promptness by the private drivers, train rides and coordination of all the logistics moving us to three different destinations in Italy was seamless!
