Guide/Drivers: Hamid. Could not be better. Excellent safe driver, very good English, rich knowledge of places, history, customs. Always available (really, always!). Kept the car impeccably clean. Just perfect. Possibly the best driver/guide we ever had in our may years of world travels.

Guides: only three(Volubilis, Fes, and Marrakesh): all excellent.

Hotels/Riads: generally good to very good. In Rabat the service was poorly organized. The owner Aziz was mostly absent and left things in the hands of a very pleasant lady who did her best but did not know much of anything. I would not use it again. In Fes the place was great, but service was non-existent. Ouarzazate had the best combination of a nice place and excellent, attentive service. Marrakesh was also very good (location, facilities, and service). Our hotel in Casablanca was modern and clean, with standard American-like facilities. However, its location was poor and we could not even walk outside because the neighborhood had little or nothing to offer. A place by the ocean would have made our night in Casablanca more preasant.

Visits/excursions: all excellent. Well-chosen, interesting, well-organized visits. Zero negatives here!

Overall: a very satisfactory trip. The country is beautiful, all people we met were exceedingly polite and friendly and we experience no unpleasant events of any kind. We had read some highly critical reviews with alleged cheating, harassment, etc. We walked a lot on our own, day and night, asked for directions, talked to ordinary people (we speak French, which made it easier to reach a wider segment of the population), ate street food, and were always met with great kindness. Even shopping is a nice experience, bargaining is conducted with a light attitude and even if we decided not to buy something after some negotiations, we never experienced the anger or hostility we have seen in other countries.

Megan and Wanderlust were flexible, cooperative, and ready to make some changes when we asked them to do so. We are completely satisfied with the experience!

I typically love to research and plan trips, but I felt overwhelmed with Paris/Burgundy. KimKim connected us with Stephen and Valentine of Objectif France and they were a boon in advising, organizing and setting up our itinerary. This trip had to be post-poned in April 2020 to Oct 2022 due to pandemic. It was worth the wait. We enjoyed Fabio's walking tour of Montemarte, the Eiffel Tower at night, a personal tour of the Louvre (forgot the guide's name but she was very knowledgeable and allowed us to hit the highlights within 2 hours), a half-day trip to Versaille (Corinne is a great guide), and a splendid trip on train to Beaune (Burgundy) for a wine tour and 2 nights in that old, quaint, country town (Alexi from Safari Tours was a delight and very informative). We have many fond memories thanks to these fine folks.

My husband and I just returned from an amazing 10 days in southern Iceland. The stunningly beautiful landscapes together with the detailed itinerary that Terry put together for us made for a trip that exceeded all of our expectations. We wanted a trip that was hiking based and Terry had wonderful suggestions that kept us happy and wanting more! We started in the Reykadalur Valley which was beautiful and an introduction to Iceland's many hot springs. Our Super Jeep trip to Thorsmork was definitely a highlight with an amazing hike that provided spectacular views from above of the valley, glaciers and mountains. The Mulagliufur Canyon was a trip into another world with 2 waterfalls and moss covered cliffs. We loved the Svartifloss waterfall and the stunning lava columns that surround it. We hiked up the Hjorleifshofdi Cape and also walked a trail from Vik's center where the views of Reynisdramgar beach's black sands and sea stacks from above were amazing. Terry nailed it and made it possible to put all of our energy into satisfying all of our senses and our love of exploration with none of the usual travel concerns about logistics. Thank you Terry!

KimKim arranged and managed our trip to Greece with the utmost in customer service and professionalism. The transfers to and from airports and ferries were flawless. We were picked up on time and driven in very nice cars by friendly drivers. The hotel in Athens was small but clean and conveniently located. KimKim arranged for Christina, a lovely, bright and fun tour guide to take us through the Plaka and to see the Acropolis. We’d planned to connect ferries at Syros traveling on to Naxos the same night, but high winds shut the ferries down. KimKim contacted us about the ferries, arranged for us to stay 2 nights at a very nice and nicely located hotel in Syros and then sail on to Naxos 2 days later. The glitch was unfortunate but KimKim showed their expertise in handling the unexpected, even arranging refunds from the two missed nights at the Naxos hotel and a refund for a boat trip we’d booked. We were happy to see Syros and made the best of our day on Naxos. The room in Naxos (Cyano Suites) was spectacular but was strangely disconnected from the hotel, our only complaint. Travel to and transportation in Santorini was also seamless. The hotel, Petit Palace, was extraordinary. With a plunge pool, good food, exceptional service, jaw dropping beauty, and a fantastic catamaran trip, we couldn’t have been happier. We will definitely call on KimKim again.

This is my second trip booked through Kimkim (1st time was to Ecuador). It’s similarly been a great experience. It’s definitely the service to use if you have very specific itinerary and style of travel in mind that doesn’t fit into a prepackaged standard tourist format. As a very experienced traveler, this is essential for me. This time we wanted a very specific 2-week itinerary covering major and lesser known Jewish heritage sites throughout Vienna, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, while also enjoying the sumptuous palaces and castles of this region in deluxe style. Tomaz and Zala took care to book every detail exactly as requested and were available and responsive to all specific requests and changes.

All the local guides and drivers were excellent. They were all extremely knowledgeable and had a lot to offer—a rarity these days when traveling where guides oftentimes know little more than you do if you’ve done your research. I want to call out a special mention to Eva and Milos in Bratislava, and most heartfelt appreciation to Lenka who guided us throughout the Czech Republic.

Excellent service, the transfers all happened on time and took the stress out of travelling alone. Great service.

If you go to Southern Spain and are adventurous, get on the internet and do your thing for 5 or 10 hours and hope you got it right. If not, hire Raquel and Kimkim. It costs a little more but you get the best location of 4 star hotels, great local guides, meet and greet at airports and train stations and great advice on travel matters.
I can't say enough about the destination hotels that Raquel selected. Hotels in Cordoba, Seville, Malaga, and other cites were in "Centro" locations making most sites walkable for the city tour Raquel arranged or even when we were on our own. These Andalusia cities have "Old Town" districts formed many centuries ago that I think you would want to be near so you can enjoy all they have to offer. You may never have a chance to get back so enjoy it!
We traveled Southern Spain for 2 weeks and Kimkim set everything up. Raquel recommended cities (don't miss Ronda), arranged a 9 course set menu lunch (we could only get to #6) and made the trip fun and exciting.

We then we explored Paris (Kimkim arranged the flight) for 6 days on our own (Airbnb) then back to Madrid for an additional week (Airbnb).

Best trip to start our retirement years and we'll be back to Kimkim the next time we travel.

We had a magical trip to Morocco thanks to KimKim and our amazing driver and local guides!

We traveled with three kids (ages 4-9), my mother-in-law and two parents (my husband and me). We started in Marrakesh, went to Boalne Dades, Merzouga/the desert, Fes and then Casablanca as our flight departed from there.

The desert and Camp Tiziri was a lifetime favorite memory, but the entire trip was amazing. Our driver Samir was so kind and went out of his way to make us comfortable. Our local guides Oosama (Marrakesh) and Adil (Fes) were so friendly and great with the kids as well.

Abdel and Said were so patient as we planned and asked questions. Thank you to the entire team for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in beautiful Morocco!

Tiziri Camp is one of our favorite experiences/places to stay EVER! We felt at home as soon as we arrived and the staff was so welcoming at every turn. The tents are so comfortable and even luxurious! The staff prepares delicious meals and was so accommodating for our whole family - they helped our kids sandboard, arranged for us to visit a pool during the day and played Berber music in the evenings. We stayed 2 nights and would definitely recommend! 1 night would have been too short to fully enjoy the experience!

We loved this hotel run by two amazing brothers! It was raining when we arrived, and they came to our van to welcome us and help carry our bags in. We felt at home right away! One of the brothers is the chef and prepares truly amazing meals. We had dinner and then breakfast. Our rooms faced the street (back rooms have a nice view) but we arrived after dark so wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the view anyway. We would have loved to stay here longer! The back terrace and pool looked beautiful. The beautifully furnished rooms, top-notch food and warm hospitality are not to be missed!

We loved walking around the gardens! They are incredibly beautiful, and our kids enjoyed the animals as well (koi fish, turtles, frogs). We also really loved the YSL Museum even though we don’t know anything about fashion. The dresses are beautiful, and even our two older kids enjoyed it! This was definitely a highlight and not to be missed. Our driver recommended going early (9am) and we’re thankful for that - the gardens got busier as the morning went on.

I’m sure it would have been fun, but we wanted to get to our hotel in Boulmane Dades before too late in the evening.

We didn’t really interact with the nomad family - Hassan served us tea in their tent. I’m not sure if that is the norm or not. Hassan stopped at a pharmacy for some medicine for our daughter, which was much appreciated! We also enjoyed Berber pizza for lunch!

I loved the trip to Cusco & Lima. I especially liked the size of our group: just my friend and I and our guide. We completed the two day Inca Trail and Machu Picchu as well as Rainbow Mountain with our guide. We were able to go at our own pace, stop and take pictures or just rest at any time. The only change I would make is to include beverages for the meals included in the tours with the guide. I understand not including beer or wine, but at least include water. We were expected to pay cash for beverages with our meals with our guide. It didn’t make sense that our meal was included, but the beverage was not.

We were able to set our own pace as it was just my friend and I and our guide. It was a wonderful experience! The only suggestion I would make is that the guide should explain/stress that there are no bathrooms at all after the train until pretty much the sun gate. This is many hours in (5 hours) and you must stay hydrated- creates an interesting paradox.

As a woman traveling alone to a remote part of Colombia I decided to use an agency. I have to tell you KimKim was excellent! Wendy made me feel more than confident and assured me if I needed anything she was just a text away….and she was. Any questions no matter now big or small were welcomed. When plans were delayed due to weather while I was in a remote part of the country she was attentive and made sure I was comfortable as could be during the situation. She absolutely treated me like family.
My guide Manuela in Medellin was a dream. She was so comfortable to be around she made me feel like we were old friends. The amount of knowledge she had about the city, culture and country was amazing. I wish I would have recorded so I could remember every word lol I cannot recommend her enough.
The park 10 hotel where I stayed while in the city was perfect for me. The location in Medellin was fantastic. The restaurant Lussac adjacent the hotel had a wonderful menu and having room service an option made for a great dining experience after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were friendly and their quality of service made it an easy decision to stay there again in the future.
I also went to Nuquí on the coast which was wet, wild a d wonderful. I stayed at LaBayka ecolodge. This is wet county with beautiful black sand beaches. I enjoyed birdwatching from my hammock, saw a sloth through binoculars in the common area, went whale watching and saw baby sea turtles make their way into the sea for the first time. This place was a dream. There was too much to see and soak in. For someone looking for an adventure this was a great place to see soo much beauty in one place. Just expect to be wet as rain and humidity are a part of life there.
The staff was kind and patient with my limited Spanish. They made sure I always was included in activities and checked in to make sure things were ok. The food was simple, clean and wonderful. With 70% of it being grown on the property itself.
So much still to see in Colombia. Manuela painted such a vivid picture in my mind of things yet to see I have to go back.

Tour guide was young and inexperienced. The day was too long. We wasted a lot of time at Montserrat sight. Food at lunch was okay. In hindsight, would rather have spent the day doing something else in Barcelona.

Our trip to Morocco was amazing, we had a great experience with the Original Travels team. Our driver Ilias who was with us for the whole trip it's an amazing guy, super friendly and always looking to make the best of our stay, he took us to several different places for lunch which we had not have known if it wasn't for him; I think that brought us nearer to a local experience, which we appreciate. The whole itinerary was exactly as described and the hotels were surprisingly more beautiful than in the pictures we saw at the itinerary, which was a very nice surprise. All staff from the hotels and the local tour guides were very friendly and willing to accommodate to any special needs; most of them are fluid in english, french and spanish. We did the whole trip around the country in nine days touching around seven cities, so one thing that I will say is that you should be expecting long transfers by car with the obvious potential changes of itinerary due to traffic, etc. whenever that happened, Ilias our driver, helped us reschedule and rearrange our activities so we did not miss anything, but I do recommend you have an open mind and try to enjoy the most of your road trip. Overall a great experience and I highly recomend the experience with KimKim and Original Travels.

We liked the trip to Morocco arranged by Megan: the itinerary included Marrakech, Essaouira and one night in desert camp. So, we have been able all sides of Morocco: medinas, an ocean, and a desert. We got a private driver with a minibus for 5 persons, although it was a different guy that was mentioned in our agenda, and we called him Hassan while he was Ibrahim during the first day. We lived in several nice riads, liked the service provided there. We liked a lot our trip to Atlas Mountains, although it was not a hiking, but more climbing), and we loved the family who cooked for us a dinner afterwards, it was a delicious tagine. The best surprise for use became an absolutely new and modern desert camp hotel, fully equipped and served by French chef cook. Essaouira was a very nice old city near the ocean, we spent there 2 nights, in the future I would recommend to have only one night there, as it’s relatively small and you can see the top sights within 3 hours. The best Instagram location with blue boats in reality became a challenge for us - it’s located just in the middle of fish market, and it smells like crazy, you should be very fast and have some band on your face to make some pictures and get away from there. Fortunately, pictures do not provide a smell of it. Overall, it was a perfect trip to an ancient cities, another culture, hot weather for us (+35), and everything was arranged on a very good level. The planning was great. The tour in Oviedo was ok we had a little difficult reaching Beatriz in the weekend when we reached Bilbao because we were trying to reach her by her e mail and phone number instead of the Kim Kim message. The tour guide at the Guggenheim museum kept insisting that our tour was an hour earlier than what we had written in our itenirary and she wanted to reschedule for the next day. The Puebloastur resort was wonderful. We really liked it and the transfers from the airport were excellent. We had to book more bags since we only had one bag checked We had fun with our tapas and wine tours as well as the pinchos tour. Over all we enjoyed ourselves very much. Oh and Diego at the Rioja wine tour was excellent.

Johanna was amazing, she was very helpful throughout the planning process and was very prompt in replying to emails and messages. She was very quick in making the changes necessary and when we had to change something in Peru during our trip, it was done seamlessly.
Our guides in Cuzco and Machu Pichu were very good, they had good background knowledge and insights on the history.
Areas of improvement: In Urubamba, the driver did not speak any English and it was very difficult to communicate with him.
in Machu Pichu- the guide thought we were in another hotel and he went there, came to our hotel late and we had to rush to catch the bus to go to Machu Pichu.
Machu Pichu to Cuzco train: we were give seats 1 and 2 which did not recline as it was the last seats. Our seats were facing the reverse direction of the train travelling both ways (from puroy to MP and from MP to Cuzco). Ideally, since we were only 2 of us, it would've been best if we were given the 2 seats and not the foursome.

Just returned from a brilliant trip to Iceland and have to thank Eva for putting together such a wonderful itinerary! As a "type A" trip planner kind of person, I am usually in charge of all of the details surrounding any trip we take as a family and/or with friends. That said, releasing everything to a stranger wasn't easy at first but the communication and suggestions from Eva quickly helped put me at ease. Hotels, tours, driving itineraries, etc - it was done with excellence and all there! She managed to fit in everything we requested and more in the 8 full days we had in Iceland and our tour around the ring road. Our only regret was that we didn't have more time to spend in her beautiful country!

One amazing detail Eva made happen was contacting her friend in Akuyeri to arrange a private opening of the Icelandic Aviation museum for my aviation obsessed father the day after his 75th birthday. Wow. That was above and beyond!

My wife also broke her foot a week before our trip and Eva was able to secure refunds for parts of the trip she couldn't participate in and provided great suggestions on how/where to navigate many of the places along the way so she could see as much as possible. Again, insights only an experienced local like Eva could provide.

All in all, dealing with Eva and KimKim was such a positive experience that I can see myself becoming a little less type A and using more of their services in the future! On behalf of myself, my wife, and my parents, thank you again for all you did to arrange and coordinate such a logistically seamless and wonderful trip for us!!!

Driver, Amine, was particularly good. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.
Accommodations: Riad in Marrakech and hotel in Casablanca, both very nice.
City guide, Hassan, was knowledgeable.

It was a nice experience. Very different. I would have liked the opportunity of being able to extend my experience with a massage thereafter. Definitely helps that staff personnel speaks English to help you with your visit. The hammam visited was an upscale touristic version - understandably.
