We had such a fabulous time and Liz made it so easy by planning things perfectly down to all the important details. Our 2 week trip went extremely smoothly and we really loved our itinerary. Liz was super knowledgeable about Australia and very supportive of our family's long wish list She struck a good balance between giving us advice and listening to our priorities. Scheduled flights, transportation, and accommodations all went smoothly without a hitch. We (including kids) all loved the variety of places we visited (Melbourne, Darwin, Port Douglas, Sydney).
We loved the tours she scheduled for us and she went out of her way to make last-minute tour adjustments when needed. All our tour guides were wonderful and gave us unique experiences.

Blue Mountains Day Trip with Hike

The farm stop was redundant for us as we had already been to many sanctuaries, so had great experiences already with the animals. If we didn't visit other wildlife habitats already then the farm would have been a more fun stop. Breakfast was less than expected. We loved the scenic drive and lookouts. The guide was awesome and very friendly and educational. My whole family unexpectedly all loved the hike. the views were beautiful, and the trail was challenging enough to have been fun for our 3 teens. I thought the Botanical garden was nice was didn't add to the experience of being in the Blue mountains, as the garden in Sydney was even bigger and nicer.

What a trip!

We had an amazing vacation in Greece thanks to Chris. Super helpful throughout the process! This is my second time using KimKim for a trip and both times were incredible!

Harris did an amazing job with our itinerary and steering us to activities we would enjoy. Everything was thought out and it was so nice to have the private transfers throughout our trip. We did not have to worry about anything. Each hotel was unique and really exceeded our expectations. We are a family of four and the rooms we had were spacious. Our favorite activity was the waterless farming/cooking tour in Santorini and the Catamaran trip. We also enjoyed our cooking experience in Naxos. It was also nice to be in touch with the local travel specialists in case we needed to make last minute changes.

This was our first time using kim kim and will not be our last. It really took the burden of the planning and logistics off our plate (hard part of planning trips)! Having our local specialist, Mathia, make suggestions, provide feedback, and answer questions was invaluable. His trip itinerary was a near perfect fit for our family of 5. Also having someone available during the trip to answer questions and handle any travel emergencies was also key. There was a mix up with one of our scheduled bus pickups. Mathia and kimkim responded immediately and took care of everything at no added expense.

Nikola made everything seamless and was always accessible. Highly recommend.

An unforgettable trip, and every person involved in the planning and execution of this trip went above and beyond.
Our luggage went missing on the arriving flight, and the tour group representatives Mahmoud and Zin did everything they could to help retrieve our luggage and communicated on a daily basis with what needed to be done. They spent the extra time working with the airlines while we were able to enjoy the tours.
The itinerary was perfectly planned, and we were able to easily add on extra excursions as we went along.
The tour guides Sameh and Michael were very knowledgeable, spoke english very well, and were very willing to help ensure we had the best experience during our stay. We enjoyed every tour we went on. Each excursion and location was a new breathtaking experience.

Andreas is awesome. Entire trip was planned flawlessly right from guides to transfer/pickups and selection of activities. He was constantly checking on us and updating.

Our family trip to Oaxaca was INCREDIBLE! From start to finish- Kimkim, Rene & Lizbeth of Rutopia & Alex our local guide of Etnotouristica made our vacation memorable and stress free! We were a large group of 19 and the communication before and during our trip was smooth. Rene even checked out our hotel before we arrived to let us know if it would accommodate us! Overall an amazing trip. Well organized and fun for our family of 4 with 2 boys (8 and 15). It hit all the marks, history and architecture, food and fun excursions. Highlights included pasta making in Florence, balsamic vinegar tasting in Modena. You also accommodated special requests including touring the 2 Ferrari museums, and Papal General Audience. Staff in Italy was very responsive via text, making changes on the fly as needed.

We had an awesome and seamless experience. We enjoyed kayaking on the River Avon and the Hawk Walk in Bath! I am so happy to have had Sarah's help! I could not have done this alone.

Tomas was our “ be all end all” guide the entire trip. He had so much knowledge, great personality and stopped places that some of us had heard about but were not in our itinerary. He also picked some great restaurants and rest stops. I was surprisingly delighted with all the food!. It was really a terrific trip. Eric packed a lot of Iceland into 5 days and Tomas was a huge element of making this trip over the top.

We stayed twice. First for two nights and second for one night. Second stay was in a remodeled room. These rooms are small. First room did not have blackout drapes and no bedside charging plugs. Second room had a vet tiny bathroom but black out drapes. ask for a room in the back for a quieter experience. Adjoining restaurant/bar was very good. Included breakfast buffet adequate but no great. Very good location close to shopping, and restaurants. Not a luxury property but clean and good enough.

Had a great trip in the mountains of Savoie ! Every place of accommodation that I stayed at were great (food is always great anywhere in France). The itinerary made sense and was well calculated. Thomas was always there when I had questions or needed more information. We had plenty of email exchanged and one Zoom called that reassured me on everything.

Moonika planned a perfect trip for us through Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Every detail was covered with awesome guides and drivers. Our itinerary allowed us to experience the beauty of the Baltics as well as give us time to relax and explore by ourselves. A fantastic time in magical places, everything we asked Moonika gave us.

We had an amazing vacation! Working with Joao and his team was great. They planned the perfect hotels for us and we loved every excursion, even every guide. Pedro was fantastic on our walking tour of Lisbon; he was friendly, funny and so knowledgeable. I cannot say enough things about our driver Antony….He was the best. The day trip with Simone, with Inside Lisbon was long but so worth it! She was a great guide and kept us entertained. We just wish we had more time in Obidos and Nazare. Not enough hours to really soak it in. I guess we’ll have to come back. Then the grottos tour with George and Fred of Bluefleet- just amazing! George was the best.
Hotels- the Britannia was so lovely. A little out of the way but the room and staff were worth it. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there.
Cascade Wellness was no doubt a beautiful property and well situated to the walkways along the coast. The apartment was so lovely and we appreciated the upgrade Joao arranged for us. If we had been paying more for the apartment however, we would have been upset. There were some issues- ants, the shower didn’t work properly, the door handle fell off, the AC was “out of sync” so we were rather hot the first night until the repair man came (who was very nice and friendly) and we had to request wash cloths the first night as we had none. Also it seemed we were at the end of the house keeping rotation so every time we returned to the apartment at the end of the day, to get ready for dinner (around 4:00), housekeeping was there and it was inconvenient. We sat outside waiting for them to finish. We just expected more with the reputation they have. I will say the informal restaurant was great- the food and staff were fantastic.
The Miragem- WOW! A remarkable hotel and room! We were not expecting the room we stayed in and we were blown away with it. We wished we had more time to stay there. We were so exhausted we ate at the hotel buffet for dinner and it was fantastic. Sitting out by the pool with that view of the water was the perfect way to end our stay in Portugal. We loved Cascais and Joao was so helpful with last minute suggestions of where to go and what to see.
The only thing that was a little bit of a let down was the restaurant with the Fado -Mesa de Fradas; it was just okay. The service was not that good and the food was not outstanding. We kept waiting for the singer to come and we had to wait until after 10:00 pm, well after we finished our meal. She was amazing and we would have loved to hear more but we were just so exhausted after walking all day; we left after her first set.
Other than that I really cannot say enough wonderful things about this trip and Joao and his team. I didn’t think anything could top our Italy vacation last summer (also with KimKim) but I was wrong! Thank you so much for such a wonderful vacation.

This was a once in a lifetime trip and KimKim made it spectacular. They helped plan everything and had all of the transfers arranged, so all we had to do was enjoy! We started out by going to Sabi Sands and stayed at Sambambilia Lodge, it was amazing! We had a 3 hour safari each morning at 6 a.m. and a 3 hour safari each afternoon at 3:30 p.m. We went when it was winter is South Africa, but they provided hot waterbottles for your hands/lap and blankets for the safaris. Our very first morning we saw ALL of the Big 5 and other animals as well. They drive into the bush so that you are up close and personal with the animals. I cannot recommend this lodge more highly!!! Everything was top notch!

From there we went to Cape Town for 4 days and stayed at Noah's House, it was fantastic! It was a great location and Blessing was such a joy to be around - he managed the house perfectly and the food was amazing. He even took us out our last day and we went to a little market place, then to the Cape of Good Hope, and went to see the penguins....

From there we flew to Zimbabwe and then drove to Botswana for a 2 night river cruise. We would never have been able to find or arrange going through the Customs locations in these small areas without KimKim having everything arranged for us! It is well worth having it all arranged, so there is no stress or worries. The river cruise was exceptional... you go out on a tender boat in the evenings and get to be up close and personal with the animals like the elephants, hippos, crocodiles, lions..... It was truly a different experience than going on the safari drives at the lodge, but each was amazing in its own way. We also went one afternoon to a village and we got to see how they live and they performed a dance for us and sang.

From there we flew to Johannesburg and drove 3 hours to Sun City. We stayed at The Palace of the Lost Temple....exceptional resort!!! The breakfast was over the top and great! There is a waterpark there (but too cold to get in while we were there) that is huge, has a bowling alley, movie theater, casino, restaurants, etc.... It was a great way to relax and end our trip to South Africa.

Again, I cannot stress how I would use KimKim for this type of trip. We used them when we planned our trip a few years ago to Greece, and everything was flawless then as well. We are thinking of going to Asia next year and I will use KimKim again!

It takes a little bit of doing to get to the houseboat, but once you do, you forget about all the other.... Going out on the tender boat and so close to the animals (elephants, crocodiles, hippos, lions, etc.) were a once in a life time opportunity. Seeing the sunset and the animals on the bank was exceptional. We also went one afternoon to a village and got to see how they live, what they eat, and then they sang and danced - which was great fun.

I cannot say enough good things about this lodge!!! The whole experience was amazing!! The food was exceptional and the room is fantastic, but the safari's were beyond phenomenal!!! Our driver (Doctor) and guide (Service) were amazing. Our first morning out we saw all of the Big 5 and a whole host of other animals.... They get you up close and personal, without feeling nervous that you are about to get eaten... :) I cannot recommend this lodge enough!

The prison itself is very interesting and the story is great, but you spend most of your time in a bus on a small island. Not sure that I would do it again.

The spa was great! The lunches and dinners are spectacular! We had one of our breakfasts out in the bush, which was very nice. We had dinner one evening by a campfire and they sang and danced for us, it was so much fun. The food was 5 star!!! I even got the recipe to make Malva Pudding, it is fantastic, everyone needs to try it.

Our driver (Doctor) and our guide (Service) made the trip memorable. They made sure that we got to see the animals we were wanting and took us to exceptional locations to watch the sun set. We tracked animals through the bush, which was very exciting and to see how close we were to them..... words cannot express.....

This is my second time traveling with kimkim and my first time flying overseas. We couldn’t have asked for a better planner. Mieke was so knowledgeable and helpful, although we never met it seemed she was there every step of the way. Hotels were carefully chosen with wonderful locations to meet our needs. Christien was our guide for a bike tour. She was so kind and shared great tips for getting around Ghent. Martin was another guide whom we can’t say enough good things about either. We came across a hiccup where I lost my luggage and kimkim was kind enough to gift us a wonderful experience at the end of our trip to help soften the loss. I now can’t see myself traveling without kimkim.

Our guide was absolutely wonderful, Thomas. He took fabulous care of us.

This was my first time planning a trip through KimKim. Normally I enjoy doing the travel planning myself, but I thought I'd give KimKim a try. I'm so happy they connected me with Michael and the Chaska Tours team. Planning with Michael was a breeze, and he was very patient with all of my questions and itinerary changes. Not only did they take care of all the mundane logistics (e.g. airport transfers, a driver to transfer us 5 hours to our next hotel, in-country flights, etc.), but they also set us up with some fantastic guides in each city. Luis Miguel in Medellin was especially knowledgeable about the local history, and our guide in Parque Tayrona jogged in the sweltering heat to find a medic for my husband who had a sudden illness (husband is OK, but it was a little scary at the time!). Michael also suggested activities that I don't think I would've found on my own; for example, in Bogota we did a lovely dinner with 2 amazing ladies who are seeking to build cultural connections over food. The service from everyone they booked us with was top-notch - everyone was on time, super friendly and we had an amazing vacation.

This was a hit with both myself and my daughters (ages 23 and 16). The air-conditioned environment was a definite plus in the heat. It was a fun experience and one of our favorite activities on the trip.

I revisited the Salt Mines on this trip as I wanted to show it to my family. It was worth going back to, although some of us felt a little carsick from the road and exhaust. This was just a minor inconvenience.

Rosario Islands Day Trip

Honestly, I wasn't sure that I was going to like this. Many of the videos I'd seen online showed the Rosario Islands as a complete party destination, and that wasn't really what we were looking for. But it was actually quite peaceful and relaxing. We went an hour by boat from Cartagena to a small cove on an island. We were assigned our own shaded lounging bed on the beach. There were maybe 25-30 other beds and lounges, somewhat close together but it didn't feel too crowded. Lunch was included, but snacks and drinks were available to order; while they were more expensive than what'd you'd see on the mainland, they weren't ridiculously overpriced. The biggest drawback was that there were a lot of jellyfish in the water, which really discouraged everyone from swimming. Plus, it was so hot and humid going in the water and braving the jellyfish was the only way to cool off.

Hike Tayrona National Park

The hike itself is beautiful and we saw many animals along the way - monkeys, iguanas, crabs, lizards, etc. We are all in pretty good shape and hike with some regularity. However, we weren't prepared for the humidity - it was HOT - and that made the trip a bit miserable to be honest. Our guide was great and very patient, and adapted the schedule to our needs. But I would definitely check the weather before doing this hike again.

Social Dinner-Experience: Colombian Food

This was such a great experience and warm welcome to Colombia! We thought we were going to a restaurant, and were quite surprised to be dropped off at an apartment. But we felt instantly at home with a warmest welcome and shots of aguardiente. We learned a lot about Colombian cuisine and the value of food diversity. It was so great to get away from the touristy parts and to meet some Bogota locals. This was one of our most personable, memorable experiences of Colombia and I'd highly recommend it!

This was a perfectly fine tour, not a bad way to spend a few hours if you have them. It was different than other coffee farms we had been to, so it was interesting to see the difference in farming methods.

The farmer seemed like he really knew his stuff about coffee. However, he spoke quite softly so it was hard to hear and understand him at times. We were grateful to have our local guide there with us as well, as he was able to add in additional commentary

We just came back from what we think is the best trip of our life. We spent a magical week in Croatia where every single detail was taken care of. Nikola was completely responsive, easy to work with and a great listener. He was able to completely capture the type of vacation we were after, and from day one worked diligently with us to put together a wonderful trip. We started in Split, and went on a day trip to Plitvice National Park. As breathtaking as the pictures of the place are, they do not come close to what it is like to see it with your own eyes. Our guide, Mario was extremely knowledgeable and fun and was able to show us the most beautiful views of the park. I wish we had longer because the park is worth a longer visit. We proceeded to explore Split and the Diocletian palace in all its glory. The following morning we left to Hvar. The transfers were easy, on time and so well coordinated. Once in Hvar we had the unique pleasure to tour the island and explore it away from the main tourist area. Grgo, our guide was exceptional!!! we had the most memorable experience exploring the lavender fields, vineyards and got to understand a little bit of island life in this fairy tale location. We took a break the following day with a day in the beach. Again the pictures and tourist brochures do not do justice to this place. The following day we left to Dubrovnik. Just when we thought things could not get any better, comes this majestic place with its centennial walls and ages long charm. We did not want to leave! I cannot recommend enough the experience. We are so impressed with how easy KimKim made everything for us, how well selected all the experiences were, how flawlessly everything went, and especially the professionalism, knowledge and service of Nikola. We cannot wait to come back.
