If you are looking for an adventure then book yourself the Ifugao Villages Trek.
Forget the telephone and fl-yin rescue teams. You depend on your buddies and the locals.
We combined our trip with a trip to Sagada. (8 day tour including travel to and from Manila.
Our tour guide Marvin is a local and answers all questions regarding the Ifugao region.
Unfortunately the day we arrived in Sagada all tourist attractions got shut down due to the covit-19.
Marvin took us back to Banaue where we were able to visit the hot springs instead.
Top hike. Highly recommended.

Just back from an amazing family vacation! Emi’s recommendations and planning allowed us to see and experience parts of Rome, Milan, Turin and Florence - both through relaxed self exploration within the cities and small group tours for daylong excursions in smaller towns nearby. The hotels, and train travel she organized made it easy to relax and enjoy the trip. Questions arose while we were traveling, and she was quick to reply - so nice to have a friendly local resource! Would definitely recommend and use this service again for future trips. Thank you Emi!

The organization and schedule met our requests. Abdellah perfectly understood whate we wanted and organized everything accordingly. The places we visited were magnificent. The roads and hotels we stayed in surpassed our expectations in most cases. Our driver, Karim, was great. He was very professional, respectful and with a great attitude. He made our long trips enjoyable. Also, he is a very good driver and has a lot of patience. Thank you for making this an unforgettable trip.

Our trip to Spain, planned by Patricia of Your Trip to Spain, was perfect in every way. Every place we visited was memorable: Madrid, Toledo, Seville, Cordoba, Ronda, Granada and finally Barcelona. All of the hotels we stayed in were centrally located as we requested, just steps away from main attractions. In Madrid, we were so close to the Plaza Mayor. In Seville and Granada, very close to the cathedrals and historic areas. Every driver was on time, and all the guides were exceptional: Carmen in Madrid, Inma in Toledo, Enrique in Seville, Laura in Cordoba, Daniel in Granada, Mar in Barcelona. Special mention of our driver/guide Miguel. We spent two days with him in Seville and our day driving to Granada. He went out of his way to show us a small mountain village and a castle off the beaten track. His suggestions for lunch were perfect, and we really enjoyed his company. We learned so much about Spanish history, art and culture. I give this tour a 5 star rating and highly recommend Patricia.

I had 3 excellent guides: Maria Alejandro Nariño in Bogota, Juan David Martinez in Leticia, and Mauro Hernandez Aguinago in Medellin! The Lost City of Colombia Trek guides, Juan and Checo (sp) also did an excellent job!! I hope that the friendships I established with them will continue into the future:-)

We decided to create our own "excursions" while traveling through Asia on a cruise. Linh helped us plan activities for three of the ports we visited. We gave her our destinations and she gave us various options to pick and choose from. Our first port was in Koh Sumai, Thailand, where Mr. Sonthaya gave us a great tour of all the island highlights and brought us to a beautiful beach side restaurant to enjoy the view and some local food.
Our second stop was in Laem Chabang, the port south of Bangkok. Ms. Angie and a driver picked us up from the port and drove us west of Bangkok, to ride a river boat that brought us to her favorite floating market, Don Wei Market. It did not disappoint, as it was a fascinating market filled with the smells, sounds and tastes of Thailand. We were truly immersed in the wonderful culture. We enjoyed tasting some foods while wandering and then ate a delicious lunch in a restaurant on the water. We boarded another boat and were taken to Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), a tower on the Chao Phra river bank built in Khmer architectural style. It is the tallest temple in Thailand, decorated in beautiful ceramic pieces. We finished our afternoon in Chinatown, one of the largest in the world, then headed back to the ship in the evening.
Our third adventure was in beautiful Halong Bay in northern Vietnam. Our guide, Mr. Sam, met us early at the pier and brought us to a favorite coffee shop to have authentic Vietnamese, drip into your own cup, coffee. It has just a touch of sweetness from some added condensed milk and is the smoothest, non-bitter coffee! So enjoyable. Next we were brought to a pearl factory to learn and watch how oysters are inseminated, farmed, harvested, and pearls sorted for size and quality. We were then brought to Halong Bay, where we were given a private boat tour of the beautiful bay, filled with 1000's of islands. It was so relaxing and fascinating! We were brought to Sung Sot Cave (Surprise or Amazing Cave). Found by the French in 1901, this is one of the largest and most beautiful caves in the area! Be ready to do some walking! It truly was amazing! Back on the boat, we were served an amazing lunch of freshly steamed prawns, squid salad, stuffed crab and other delicious delicacies that had been caught by the captain and his first mate! It was too cold for kayaking that day, but that would have been a great option as well.
We were very please with Linh's help in finding us very informed and interesting guides. Every "excursion" went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend KimKim and their local guides next time you plan a trip or just plan excursions while on a cruise!

My friends and I had an AMAZING trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe. It was probably the best vacation of my life...and I've gone on a lot of vacations. Cindy was such a great agent, and she created an exceptional itinerary for us. I will definitely be telling all my friends to use her when planning their trips to the area. Thank you, Cindy!!

Had a great experience with KimKim and Eloise who booked our travel for our honeymoon in New Zealand. As a seasoned traveler, I usually book my own travel, however the ease and quality of our trip reserved with kimkim has forever changed how I will book future trips! We gave Eloise the places and activities we were interested in and she put together a stellar itinerary where we had flexibility but structure to our trip. It felt like we were on a private self-guided tour. We wanted to hike and bike and she put us in the best spots to adventure - we loved the bike trip from the town of Clyde and hiking around Mt. Cook and Wanaka. When our 3 day trek on the Routeburn was cancelled due to weather, she re-booked us at another location, and I was so relieved to have someone else worry about the details especially when there were changes outside of our control. Will book a future trip with kimkim, and many thanks to Eloise for guiding us right!

Paulo, our local representative for KimKim, really helped us out after one of our flights were cancelled. He worked into the evening from home to make sure we were looked after. When you are a foreigner who doesn't know the language of the country this is how a trip can be ruined or fantastic memories can be created for a life time. Paulo was amazing.

Cynthia Lebrao, our English tour guide, at the Pousada Uacari was amazing. Her experience with the area and because she was a biology major her vast knowledge of the mammals, birds, reptiles, insects, flora and fauna was very helpful. Her demeaner, laid-back and positive, when working with the team of locals, who helped as tour guides, was amazing to watch and fit well with the whole experience of an ecotour.

Melina and Sibila were excellent. They answered all my questions promptly and spent time with me to plan out activities. Melina was also very responsive during the week while I was on vacation as we made some adjustments to the itinerary. Overall, I was very satisfied.

The trip was Over expectations Everything was superb!
First of all with Chio he managed everything very well and was so patient with all questions i have asked.
In Bogota the driver Francisco and the guide Maria were very nice and they introduced me very well to the Bogota and also the whole country.
After that I went to Raquira and Villa de layva with a very good driver (but I’m sorry I forgot his name) .
Santa Marta driver Carlos was a very good driver and he did a very good job, big thanks to him .
In Cartagena i met a guide Santiago, he was superb and introduced me very well to the city.
In Medellin, I met a very good Driver Miguel , he was an excellent driver. And for the guide to Guatepe was Sebastian , he was an excellent guide he introduced me very well to the city.
At last, I loved Colombia and the people there were so friendly and nice , overall 10/10 thank you KimKim team.

We just got back from our week-long family trip to Guatemala. We had an incredible time, due in large part to the efforts of Eduardo of kimkim who set us up with fun things to do, fabulous guides and a great driver, all for a reasonable price. We travel a fair amount but generally wing it when it comes to activities and getting around but using kimkim is likely to become my new modus operandi when planning family trips for our family of 4 (2 parents + 2 daughters ages 11 and 15). It was so nice to arrive, have a driver (Antonio) waiting to take us to our destination and a guide to help us understand what we were looking at. We had a limited amount of time for this trip and I really felt like this approach let us get the most out of it. We had three different guides (Miguel, Pablo & Flavio) show us different parts of Guatemala and each brought their own background and perspective, which was great. How awesome to have a former entomology professor talk nature and bugs with your kid who is into nature & the wilderness!

The only criticism I would have would be that a couple of the activities were a bit overly ambitious for us with an 11 year old in tow and I wished that kimkim/Eduardo could have anticipated that and made alternate recommendations. On the other hand, he was able to set up workarounds, like a van home at a halfway point for the bike ride through the villages outside Antigua. We did skip one activity altogether because we were tired and needed some downtime.

Overall, 5 stars for kimkim! I will definitely be checking in with you when we are getting ready to go on our next international trip to a new destination. You made my life as the family's trip planner so much easier!

We were extremely pleased with the guides and drivers on our Myanmar trip. Guides were knowledgeable and eager to share information. They were reliable regarding pick up times and helpful in making our trip extremely positive.

I will recommend using kimkim to our friends

We spent a wonderful week in Colombia with stops in Cartagena, Minca (El Dorado reserve), and Mucura (Punta Faro hotel). We highly recommend Bazurto Market and National Aviary. Walking the streets of Cartagena was a joy. The many murals, buildings, people, shops, street vendors, and restaurant’s were all wonderful. I would recommend spending 2 full days and 3 nights in El Dorado with a 1 full day in Minca. Mucura was a wonderful and relaxing island. Punta Faro was amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and served buffet style. The beach was not huge but incredibly relaxing. It was not crowded and the water was great. We did the snorkel tour which was nice. Not the best we have ever done but still good. There was some interesting coral and fish. Well worth the price. We would also recommend the bioluminescence tour. I would recommend 3 nights here to get in all the activities but also be able to relax.

We enjoyed all the guides that KimKim provided with a special shout out to Leo in El Dorado. He did a great job with the birding and was very knowledgeable and personable. All the drivers we had were very prompt, courteous, and friendly. It was very nice not worrying about how, when, or if we were going to get where we needed.

Chio (KimKim) communicated very well with us and answered all our questions. It was nice to not worry about anything on our vacation and just relax and enjoy. Thank you!

Where do I start? I stumbled upon Kimkim while researching a trip to Jordan. With nothing to lose I entered my wish list for the journey and thought no more about it, except that maybe it would be too expensive.
What a surprise. I was contacted by Carmen Sholten at in2jordan who helped me refine my wish list into something more practical for the time available. My questions were not treated as too silly, no request for added extras too difficult and I felt like I was the only client going to Jordan that week.
With on exception, from the time our driver, Hasan, met us at the airport until we left every bit of the trip was as I had hoped. The hotels were great, Wadi Rum and Petra hadn't changed much in 20+ years and are still stunning. Our guides were knowledgeable and informed us in different ways. And glueing the whole trip together was Hasan who drove us from place to place, stopping on request for breaks, photo opportunities and all the while telling us about his country. Fantastic guy.
The exception? The weather. It is not controlled by Kimkim or in2jordan so the rainy desert tour was a new experience.

I used kimkim as part of a group of friends and family, I wasn’t the primary planner, but prior to the trip I loved the kimkim website with ability to have an online group conversation about the trip. We could ask questions about accommodations, weather, tipping customs, payments, etc. I thought it was a great communication tool. Once in Morocco, it was great to have a wide variety of amazing and varied accommodations and experiences-the more modern city of Rabat, the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, the medina in Fes and the glamping in the Sahara among others. It was nice to have one driver for the whole trip and I enjoyed learning about the local history and culture through our prearranged tour guides in the different cities we visited. Hi

Sangita was so great from the start. She promptly and patiently answered all questions and concerns when we were coming up with the itinerary. Together with Bipin and Rabin, they gave us a memorable trip that introduced us to how wonderful Nepal is. We hope we'll have the chance to return.

We had a great tour with our guide, Rodrigo, and our driver, Oscar. The two had a great rapport and were both very friendly. Our favorite sight was the Rainbow Valley (which was not on the original itinerary, and we only ended up going because the Taito Geyser Field was closed), because Rodrigo took us on some paths that most tourists don't go on, and we had the whole place to ourselves. Additionally, Rodrigo has studied geology in university, so he was very knowledgeable on the rock formations and other geologic details we saw throughout the whole trip.

Our trip was Amazing! Simon was so responsive, both before AND during our trip. I've traveled a lot but never used a travel agent before and what a difference it makes! Thanks to Simon, KimKim, and the So Provence! So Alps! team, we enjoyed sights and experiences we would not have planned ourselves. All of our guides were very knowledgeable and experienced. We had a great trip.

As to my Rami, He was great and I recommend him without reservation. As to Wadi Rum, worth it and am glad that i went. Petra, Town Seasons Hotel, a great place, one that you want to keep. the Jerash trip was really a delight. The only down side, my guide in Petra, Gul. He knew his history but I had been under the impression that he would be with me for 3 hours: he was not. After 2 hours and 15 minutes he told me I could find my way, and he left. Not what I expected.
I did the Jordan Museum on my last day, took a taxi. You should tell visitors not to miss the exhibition 1001 Inventions, currently there. It is a not miss.
