We loved Pioneers and we know if we ever get to go back to Zimbabwe, we would absolutely stay here again and bring the kids. The room was great, the grounds are gorgeous and well cared for, the food was delicious and the staff were really friendly and helpful (especially with a luggage issue we had to deal with). I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone.

This hotel was fine for our one night stay. The food was ok but the room was lovely and the staff were very kind.

The absolute best. We absolutely loved this hotel and everything about it. The private deck and pool were perfect places to wind down in between drives. The hotel staff were amazing and we can't say enough positive things about our guide and tracker Tristan and Chris. They were so funny and smart and really got to know us to make the game drives as meaningful and memorable as possible. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We only stayed here for a night but the room service food was fantastic and the staff were so kind and helpful in getting us to the airport the next morning.

We absolutely loved this experience. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and cared for. The ride was smooth and staff made sure that our room was as comfortable for us as it could be. We also loved the excursions that Rovos offered and loved the opportunity to learn about the people and culture around us. Once we learned about Rovos, it became a non-negotiable part of the itinerary and we are so happy we did it!

Perfect for us as a couple! The room was spacious, everything was clean and the staff was very friendly!

We loved our driver from the airport! Then, we showed up at the lodge after brunch was served and dinner wasn't scheduled for a few hours. The chef very kindly made us delicious sandwiches which was so necessary after a morning of travel. We were so grateful.

I can't say enough about our experience with Tristan and Chris. They were truly the best. They were both so smart and so engaging and happy to answer any and all of our questions about their work, the game drives and the animals.

We are SO glad we did this! It's a long day but we felt like we really got to see so much of the beauty of South Africa.

This was lovely! The sunset was even better than advertised and we got a chance to see even more wildlife that we hadn't seen yet on the trip. The staff was lovely and the food was so delicious.

An absolute must do! It was the perfect way to end our trip. I couldn't recommend this enough. The food was outstanding and we got to try so many new flavors.

We chose the game drive at Spionkop and we were so glad we did! It was our first game drive so helped give us a head's up as what to expect. Friends we made on the rail who did the history tour said they learned more on that trip than they did in years of school so I don't think you can go wrong either way. We loved our guide at Nambiti and by the time we finished those two game drives, we saw 4 out of 5 of the big 5!

This place is definitely meant for tourists but if you can embrace that, you will have a great time. We were exposed to lots of new and delicious foods, traditional dance and song and the drum lesson in the beginning was so fun.

Zaki is the best and it felt so important to us to do this tour with someone from the community. There is such important work happening all the time and we loved learning about the history and vision for the future. We would recommend this to everyone.

This is a must do! The food was incredible and we loved taking a mid meal break to walk around the garden.

Andrew was the best! He taught us so much and brought us to some of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. We really enjoyed his company and we felt like this was a great day to help us see and experience so much of the Cape.

The booking was not on their system despite a confirmation and the hotel management were quite rude. Two men turned up to my room asking me to go to reception and made me make a call with international roaming to the agent to sort it out. Not ideal. No hot water during my stay. Central location but opposite a bar that had music quite late.

Very friendly but as it was off-season there was work going on at the time of my stay. However, owners were lovely to their only guest.

The guide was fine, but dealing with the agency was tricky. had to find their whatsapp number to try and sort out a the pick up they missed. The company did send someone to take me to join the group but quite disorganised. I cancelled other trips and went with a local guide who was much cheaper and better.

Hotel Isla del Encanto was a perfect getaway at the end of our trip. We did nothing but relax for a few days, enjoying the beautiful resort. The seafood was especially amazing, and my husband and I loved our dinners there. It was a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the serene island atmosphere.

Waira Suites was an especially sweet place. It's family-run, and the staff were incredibly kind, going out of their way to accommodate my kids' meal restrictions. The environment was beautiful, surrounded by nature, which added to the charm of the stay. It truly stood out among the accommodations we visited during our trip.

The Coffee-Culture Tour was wonderful. We were greeted with delicious cake and coffee, and the people running the tour were lovely. They shared insightful stories about the land, which was truly inspiring. It was a great experience for both adults and kids, and my son particularly enjoyed planting a coffee plant. A highly recommended experience.

The Casa de la Flores tour was one of my favorite activities in Medellín. Our guide Valeria was fantastic, and the person who led us through the tour was incredibly engaging, especially with the kids. The family's achievements in the flower fair were impressive, and the whole experience was both informative and enjoyable. I highly recommend it.

Great guides, Lucien and Maria. Despite our initial concerns with weather, sleet, rain, thick fog, we were able to end our day with lots of history, beautiful scenery and a wonderful place to view a glacier. Awesome trip. To imagine the mountains and the tremendous glacier in all their glory.

Clean hotel with an excellent breakfast and a fantastic location within walking distance of many attractions. A convenient and comfortable stay.

Hotel Le Petit Beaumarchais is in a fantastic central Paris location, close to the metro and main attractions. The room was basic but clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a private transfer from Dublin Airport to the city, and our driver was friendly, punctual, and professional. The ride was comfortable and stress-free, making for a smooth start to our trip. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a hassle-free transfer.

We had an excellent Ultimate Edinburgh Bike Tour! Our guide shared lots of great stories, and the tour included fantastic stops at key sights, letting us see some of the best places in the city. Fun, informative, and highly recommended!

We had an excellent Vaults tour! We explored Greyfriars Kirk with lots of spooky stories, then ventured into The Vaults, where our guide was fantastic—she even dressed the part like a witch! We learned so much and had a thrilling, memorable experience. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing private tour of Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town with Adrian. He was exceptional—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of fascinating stories that brought the city’s history to life. His passion and insights made the tour both engaging and unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Canterbury & Dover Cliffs day trip with Kevin! Friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We explored Canterbury at our own pace and enjoyed breathtaking views at the Dover Cliffs. Kevin made the day smooth, enjoyable, and memorable—highly recommend!

Our day trip to Stonehenge and Bath with Tony was fantastic. Tony was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience seamless and enjoyable. At Stonehenge, we learned fascinating history about the stones and their mysterious origins. In Bath, Tony took us on a walking tour, sharing stories about the Roman Baths and pointing out the stunning Georgian architecture and hidden gems throughout the city. His insights brought the history and character of Bath to life. The tour was well-organized, comfortable, and allowed plenty of time to explore both locations. Highly recommended!

An unforgettable experience! The Beefeaters were hilarious, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the history of the Tower come alive. Seeing the Crown Jewels in person was absolutely breathtaking. We spent the entire day exploring the grounds, the towers, and the exhibits—it was immersive, fascinating, and well worth the money. From the medieval architecture to the stories of kings and queens, every moment was captivating. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting London!

A fantastic way to see all the main sights and get oriented in London. The headphones provided interesting commentary about the history and significance of each location, which made the tour both fun and educational. Being able to hop on and off allowed us to explore at our own pace, and it made navigating the city on our own afterward much easier. Highly recommended for first-time visitors!

Room we got was dark and was not very clean. Wifi is very poor. But food is delicious, very friendly staff and very beautifully maintained common grounds.

Nice hotel. Really not that close to the airport. It’s a bit rundown, one elevator was broken, the pool area needs some attention. Other than that, it was pretty comfortable. The shuttle is very predictable.

The hotel was beautiful, the people were so nice. Was very well located near restaurants and a beach. The free breakfast was fantastic. I guess the only criticism we had is that the rooms don’t get cool enough. But then again we are Americans and we expect freezing cold rooms. LOL

A beautiful trip around the coast. Certainly should be included in the itinerary of Mallorcan visitors.

Absolutely a fantastic two hour experience. We’re not that into art museums but the tour guide was so fantastic that she made it very interesting and we learned a lot.

Madrid is a beautiful city and our tour guide gave us a pretty good tour.

Montserrat is a fantastic site to see. We certainly enjoyed seeing the area. Most of it was self guided, and we took the train to the top and hiked which was interesting.

The guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable. We started with a walking tour went to the Palau music hall. He loved music and was very enthusiastic making that tour great. And then of course go out. Familiar is always fantastic to see.

Long drive - poor weather.

This hotel was the best out of all eight we stayed in. It was roomy and they had a nice fan. Big bathroom. Elevator! The only bad thing was we arrived at night and it was not clearly marked. The sign had the name on the same color of brick and it was not illuminated. After going around the block a few times one of our passengers got out and walked to the area where we thought it should be and confirmed we were at the right place.

Hotel was nice in an older building with a nice restaurant. This time we had to lug our luggage downstairs. The room was nice but small. The bathroom and shower were extremely small.

Hotel was nice but once again involved lugging luggage up steps. Only staying one night I don’t recall specifics of this room. There was a lake nearby that we walked down to see.

The hotel was nice but the logistics were strange. We came in the back door from the parking lot. We had to walk through the restaurant with our luggage. We had to carry our luggage up many steps and that was laborious. The restaurant had a Sunday roast that looked good on line but the roast was dry, overcooked and tough. The potatoes could barely be cut with a knife they were hard as rocks (over-baked).

This was a nice hotel. One downfall was that there was no parking and there was no where to unload the luggage due to restricted parking for cabs. There was a policeman out front when we arrived and he let us pull up and unload quickly. When you went in the front doors there were several steps that we had to lug our luggage up. Nice on the main level there was an elevator to take us up to the 2nd floor. The hotel room was roomy and had air conditioning that was a welcome feature!

A nice hotel with a nice size room and on the first floor. We really weren’t here very long, arrived early evening and left early the next morning.

This hotel was in an area where we could walk to find a variety of restaurants that were close by. The room was warm and had trouble adjusting the temperature to cool the room. The included breakfast bar was nicely stocked with a variety of food.

We loved the comfort feel. Hotel is lined with tatami floors throughout and it was so much fun to stroll laisurely in pajamas and socks (or barefoot) to the onsens in the morning, get a hot matcha in the lobby and sit for a breakfast all without having to change to regular clothes! Staff is very respectful and friendly. There is a free popsicle station in the afternoon and free noodles snack before bed. Location is fair. It is relatively close to the train station, but if you want to spend most of your time around the Gion district, it is not close. The stay was very relaxing though and I would opt for this hotel again since it is easy and only around 1,000- 2 ,000 Yen by taxi to get anywhere you need. We made a couple of out of Kyoto day trips during our stay and the location was very convenient for this as well.

Nice location and beautiful spa facility. We opted for the traditional tatami floor bedrooms building. It was a great experience, but the hotel wing had notable fishy smell that was at times overwhelming. Would opt for the main building with standard beds next time. The gardens were fabulous!

Hotel staff was amazing, breakfast buffet was diverse with plenty of western meals options.

The hotel was centrally located. My room was ready early but not pristine. Some remnants of the prior guest left behind. I would have rather waited.

We stayed at this resort for one night and wished we could stay longer! The setting of the resort is simply breathtaking. Whether you’re enjoying a meal on the terrace or relaxing in your room, the serene beauty of the lake is always within sight. The area is abundant in wildlife, with plenty of birdwatching opportunities and the occasional sighting of hippos or elephants along the shores. It’s a place where nature and luxury merge seamlessly.

We are sure it is a beautiful hike on a clear day! It was down pouring and super slick when we went. I really enjoyed the hike but would recommend postponing to a clear day if possible

The trekking experience offers the rare opportunity to see these monkeys in their natural habitat. The golden monkeys are extremely social, and their playful behavior makes them incredibly fun to watch. During your trek, you’ll have the chance to observe their unique interactions, from grooming one another to playfully swinging from tree to tree in the dense bamboo.

We actually ended up doing this at Mgahinga NP, one of the best experiences in my life!

We ended up not doing this activity and did a Batwa cultural tour instead which was fantastic!

One of the best aspects of our trip, was our guide Fred and driver Steven. We wish we could have worked directly Fred planning the trip from the beginning because of his knowledge of Uganda, specifically, in regards to obtaining permits to see primate groups and thier distance from the lodges, which is important because the roads in Uganda can be tricky. They went above and beyond to get us to our events safely and efficiently navigated us between activities. They knew the best spots for viewing animals, and their expertise made every moment feel special. Fred and Steven truly made the trip memorable. We are so thankful for the time we spent with them. All of the guides and porters on the trip were fantastic and certainly enhanced our experience. Our recent trip to Rwanda and Uganda was an incredible adventure, but if I had to pick a highlight, it was definitely Uganda. I found it to be far less touristy, which made for a more authentic and intimate experience. The locals in Uganda were incredibly warm and welcoming, always eager to share a smile. It felt like a much more personal connection compared to the more tourist-heavy spots I encountered in Rwanda. The wildlife in Uganda was absolutely amazing. From the mountain gorillas in Mgahinga National Park to the chimpanzees in Kibale National Park and the golden Monkeys in Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda), the primate experiences were jaw-dropping. Not to mention the variety of birds and other wildlife—each day was a new adventure. The game drives at Queen Elizabeth were also fantastic, with plenty of opportunities to see Uganda’s rich wildlife in their natural habitat. The accommodation was top-tier as well. The lodges were not only beautiful but also had that perfect blend of comfort and eco-consciousness. It really felt like you were in the heart of the wilderness, but with all the luxury and service you could ask for. The Rwenzori Mountain Hut-to-Hut trek in Uganda is nothing short of an adventure of a lifetime. For anyone looking to push their limits, experience raw, unspoiled nature, and truly immerse themselves in one of Africa’s most stunning and remote mountain ranges, Margarita Peak is the 3rd highest peak in Africa. We only planned to spend two nights in the huts and loved it, for folks in great shape, we would highly recommend trekking to the top. We have summited Kilimanjaro and found that Kilimanjaro was an easier trek.
