local specialists were very communicative. having everything pre-booked was very convenient - no problems with excursions, hotels, etc....had some bad luck with early winter weather and road closures, but a ferry ride and saw other parts than planned - no worries! most places were great, one was only option in that town and led to an expensive meal (since no other options), so some more warning about out-of-the way places in off-season could have avoided that one perhaps...Tromso and surroundings was beautiful. Learned tons for first kim-kim trial...would use again for sure...thanks!

Nice hotel within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Mosquitos were by far the worst at this hotel. Staff was friendly but not very informative or helpful. Room was ok, felt It could be cleaner and the bathroom doesn’t have AC only the sleeping area. At night there were monkey ir some type of animal jumping on our roof and rummaging through the out door kitchen.

If you enjoy camping then you will love these yurts. Cute and comfortable. It is a single room with only a screen dividing the bed from the toilet and while it was air it doesn’t do much during the day due to the screens and not being enclosed. However the access and view and the beach is beautiful and the staff is friendly. Service at the restaurant is great. This is a location you come to relax on the beach or at the pool.

Liz Karen was VERY proactive and helped us put together a trip to Peru very quickly. We were orginally supposed to be in Costa Rica on a very different business vacation, and the weather caused us to need to cancel and rethink what we were going to do. We decided on a condensed version of our dreal trip to Peru...and it FAR SURPASSED OUR EXPECTATIONS!

Yes, there were a few hiccups, but overall, we would recommend Liz Karen and KimKim Tours to others...actually we alrady have!

We appreciated the phenomenal tours and guides! WOW! FABULOUS!
We also appreciated Liz Karen's swift service when we were experiencing a delay with our airport driver---she was on it and had us a driver in no time to be sure we got to the airport without missing our flight.

Speaking of drivers, it was a relief to have good drivers transporting us to everything, as traffic can be a nightmare in Peru...so it is best to leave the driving to the professionals, so we could enjoy our trip even moreso!

We also recommed you consider their recommendations. They set us up on a Organic Farm Tour and Lunch, that ended up being once of the highlights of our trip that we cannot see, to stop talking about! Had we stuck to only the "highlights" we would have missed out on this incredible experience!!!!

We are already looking at where we want to go next and have already reached out to KimKim tour s for suggestions on various itineraries,,,,and we love the "Independent style" KimKim Tours provide---it's much like what I normally would coordinate...only with a whole lot less hassle for me!!!! We believe their professional connections helped to may our trip even better than if we had booked/coordinated each component ourselves!

We've stayed in backpacker's hostels WAY better than this place. Good part: Great view of river from window and good banana pancakes. NOTE: We reported to KimKim Tour and they have assured us they will be taking care of the poor service, on our behalf. Highly recommend you do NOT stay there!

Clean with no insects, be sure the hot water is running, try insolating the rooms and asking alte guests to use quiet voices. Ask the kitchen staff to allow the guests to have coffee in the morning, instead telling them no, that they need to wait (20 min) for a cup. Especially since we are up super early and in a hurry to catch the bus to Machu Pichu. Service was slllllllooooooooooooowwwwwww! Food was lackluster...except banana pancakes! Those were heavenly!

It is in the train station gates, you barely hear the trains and the grounds are GORGEOUS with ridiculously amazinv views of the ruins of Ollantaytambo. WE LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this place so much and we have been telling everyone all about it!!!!! The restaurant is fatastic too and the food is courced by the nextdoor organic farm, which we did a food tour and authentic Inka Pachumanha Lunch at----you do NOT want to miss out on this experience---absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When we met with Lisbeth, it was great. We had some issues before because, even after preseting my passport for travel docs. my name was incorrect on the air boarding passes, etc, and so the airpline gave me a lot of grief because my name didn't match. We also were never sent the boarding passes...instead Lisbeth had sent to our son who was our emergency contact. It was an honest mistake ad she worked very hard to get it fixed quickly and what we appreciated was that she owne the mistake of sending to our son. We are all human, and just owning that was huge on her part, ad we appreciated her efforts. For the rest of our time, if we needed to reach out she was resonsive...until the last day when in Cuzco when our airport driver didn't show up. She did communicate, but not much...we eneded up getting the main cordinator involved and a new driver was sent to us immediately....it was kind of a bummer, because overall it had been great, and then she dropped the ball with communication at the very end, when we were most stressed. Such a shame, because she was very helpful all the other times.

Rinolda was an ace...never left us without alternatives...always responded promptly and with helpful suggestions. The reservations at geothermal spas were great, as well as at hotels and B&B's. The trip was absolutely wonderful and wouldn't have succeeded without your assistance.

Connie was wonderful to work with. Her replies were timely, her attention and responsiveness to what we were looking for was appreciated, and the final trip she put together was fantastic, according to our friends. My wife and I were unable to take the trip due to serious health issues with my mother.

Interaction with the KimKim platform was incredibly easy and Kunchok was extremely helpful and responsive. He compiled a diverse itinerary that kept us moving from location to location, which is exactly what we wanted.

We enjoyed staying at Pema Boutique Hotels as the location was excellent -right by the Buddha Stupa. This was the perfect introduction to Kathmandu.

Flying to Pokhura is preferred over flying and we had a quick flight on Yeti Air. We loved the Hotel Barahi in Pokhura. Ideal location, charming grounds and great food. Our guide for trekking to ABC was fantastic! Pema was knowledgeable, patient, kind and happy to adapt our itinerary to add in an extra hike. The small chalet at ABC camp was magical! The food was good and the coffee was surprisingly excellent.

The trip to Nagarkot was interesting in the fact that we stayed at an all-inclusive resort. This is not normally our preference, however, the balcony to the room afforded amazing views. This quirky small town was the source of many giggles, so it made the stop worthwhile. If going to Naragkot please make a stop at the long suspension bridge - breathtaking scenery and a long bridge leading to small waterfalls.

The Hotel Ambassador was comfortable and had a great rooftop bar. We would normally want something more traditional but this was an excellent choice, just 10 minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of Thamel.

Overall the trip was wonderfully planned and expertly executed! Thank you to WikiLama, Pema and Kunchok for an unforgettable experience. Thank you!

Portugal is such a beautiful country full of color and flavours and we did have the chance to enjoy it even more with the guide and service of Kim Kim, Across Portugal and Marisa and João team.

Most of our guides in the sites were also very good, Pedro in Lisbon was amazing, knowledgeable, patient and fun. We also had a very good time with all of our drivers, in special Pepe (drove us from Lisbon to Porto and then to Cascais) and Pedro (drove us to Duoro Valley) .

Marisa and team were always reachable and did guide us every step of the way. Highly recommend their services for a relax but full of activities vacation.

From Athens to Santorini, to Crete, we saw many beautiful, historical, and cultural sites, making it tough to pick one memorable moment. Honestly, a positive tone was set from the very beginning with the pickup up at the airport in Athens. Our first guide in Athens was Michael, and he was followed by Haris. Both very outgoing, and very knowledgeable. The Monasteries at Meteora were simply breathtaking, although the bus ride, at least the return, was a bit much. I wish I could remember the guide’s name (he was Canadian I believe), but he too was knowledgeable and personable. On to the views and Blue Domes of Santorini, where after much discussion, my wife and I decided our most memorable experience was the Catamaran trip, and a day on the Sea. We both love the water, whether it be a Lake, a Sea, or an Ocean. A great time for sure. Our other day-trip on Santorini was also worthy of a thumbs up. On to Crete, and what can you say about Crete? The Catamaran excursion aside, my wife and I were both an awe of Crete. From the blue seas, to the majestic mountains, to the charming villages, to the rich history and culture, Crete had it all. We were blessed to have an extremely knowledgeable and likable guide in Alexander all three days. So while the Catamaran was indeed our #1 memorable experience, Crete simply “rocked” from the very beginning. It has to be mentioned how the entire experienced was well choreographed. By that I mean every person involved doing their part by simply being at the right place at the right time. Our departure from Crete started with a 4:45 am pickup, and that kind gentleman was actually early!

This was a tough one to review. The views were absolutely amazing, as was the morning breakfast served right outside your door. Our room (101), was loated next to a room with a common wall that was “paper-thin.” On the night of a major storm, they appeared to use this room as a secondary office to allow people whose flight was severely delayed to check-in. This went on to 23:00 hours, and we know this could you could literally hear every word. My wife had an unfortunate fall on the wet stairs leading away from the common area in front of our room. Fortunately she only sustained a very nasty bruise. But I have to acknowledge the staff being very courteous and approachable. Very helpful. We did not tell the staff about the fall however.

My only complaint on this trip was the closure of the Monastery and the inability to actually take a boat ride out to Spinalonga Island. There appeared to be no real reason why. But overall, the trip was a wonderful experience. I’m a history nut, so walking among the ruins of the ancient Minoan civilization, was an experience worth remembering. Our guide, Alexander, knows all the “nooks and crannies” of Crete, so we knew we were in good hands. Oh, and also, it was very cool to see a 4000 year old Olive tree.

Athens to Meteora day trip by scenic train ride!

The Monasteries were truly amazing, breathtaking and memorable. The drivers and guides was knowledgeable and engaging. The “downer” on this trip involved Mother Nature intervening, causing a change in plans from a train ride to a bus ride. For us, the return bus ride was not something to behold, and probably something we won’t likely forget. We had to ladies in front of us. As we began to pull out and head “home”, one rudely reclined her seat all the way back into my wife’s lap, and when asked politely to consider moving it back up halfway, rudely declined. On top of that, my wife woke up the next morning with some rash on the back of her left leg, that we can only assume was picked up on the ride home.

A beautiful day dawned on us as we walked amongst the birthplace of democracy. To walk among ruins thousands of years old, and with a knowledgeable guide, makes the day worth waking up to.

Our trip to Morocco this past September exceeded all our expectations. We knew from the very start that we had a great company because our Morocco Immersions contact, Sharon, not only lives in Morocco and knows the country very well, but she treated us like ‘old friends.’ She worked with us in a very collaborative manner, asked questions, and listened carefully to our ideas. She came back with a very unique and reasonably priced 7 day itinerary.

When we first arrived in Casablanca, we were picked up at the airport by Hicham who was both an incredible and personable tour guide (as well as a very competent and safe driver). He stayed with us our entire visit, from Casablanca to Marrakech, through the High Atlas Mountains, the Dades Valley, the impressive Todgha Gorge and into the dunes of the Sahara (albeit via Camel), staying at a luxury desert camp where we watched the sunset and enjoyed dinner and lively local music. Following our trek into the Sahara, we continued into the High Atlas Mountains and then into the Middle Atlas, driving through the lush cedar forest and home to the Barbary Apes (who eagerly ate the apples we offered). We then found ourselves in the mountain village of Ifraine ("Little Switzerland) where we stopped for a coffee/tea and sweet. Our tour wasn't finished (and it's only day 3!). Days 4 and 5 found us in Fes where we had a tour of the old Jewish Quarter and the Medina where we wandered around the very colorful Souk, had an amazing lunch and explored the various artisan sections (I bought a beautiful scarf made from the Agave plant!). That evening two of us enjoyed a Turkish bath called a Hammam. Unfortunately our trip was winding down with Hicham taking us through the Rif Mountains and to the UNESCO Heritage City of Volubilis dating back to 3rd Century BCE. From there we found ourselves in the wonderful Blue City of Chefchaouoen where we had another great accommodation and delicious meal while listening to the evening Call to Prayer.

Our itinerary was busy and fulfilling and we were so grateful to Hicham who answered an incredible number of questions regarding the cultures and history of Morocco. He guided us through beautiful scenery, suggested unique and satisfying meal options, and helped us navigate the Moroccan ATM machine. The Riads were perfect, the hosts very accommodating, and our visit to the Sahara and luxury camp an experience we will never forget.

We had such a great time because of the personal care given us by everyone involved. My only regret is that I didn’t give Morocco Immersions more days so that we could have seen more!

Kimkim did a fantastic job arranging our trip. We essentially circled Argentina which KimKim arranged. Our itinerary included Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, Salta, Mendoza, Calafate, El Chalten and Ushuaia. All the guides and agents hired by Kimkim were exceptional, professional and accomodating. Thanks to our BA driver, Carlos who was always prompt and engaging. The following guides are highly recommended:

- Finally, our estancia tour, horseback ride and barbeque at the ranch in San Antonio de Areco. Wonderful way to end our trip!!

From the initial planning with Abdellatif, the Original Travels team was very prompt and responsive, tailoring our trip through Morocco to meet our needs. Our driver, Karim met us at the airport in Casablanca. He drove us from Casablanca to Fes, to the desert in Merzouga, through the mountains, and finally to our last stop in his hometown of Marrakesh. Karim shared his knowledge of the country while expertly navigating the roads and driving for long hours. We especially loved learning about the indigenous people of Morocco, meeting the village people, and driving through the mountainside. Karim was able to share a very authentic side of the country, showing us the road less traveled.

Other notable moments on our trip included our tour of Fes with Mohammed, our hike through the Dades Gorge with Nordeen, our camel ride in the Sahara Desert with Dawid, and our cultural/food tour in Marrakech with Hanan.

I can’t speak to this riad, as we had to go to a different riad due to a wedding interrupting service at this original accommodation. We ended up staying at Les Sources Berberes, which was beautiful. It was an easy walking distance to the main square and the Bahia Palace. We also enjoyed our hammam experience and massage here.

We liked going around and seeing the Bahia palace, the main square, the souks, and the Koutoubia Mosque with Hanan. There was some restoration work to fix some damages due to the earthquake, but we did not find that it affected our visit. We are happy that the people are beginning to recover. The city was bustling.

We went on a tour of the Hassan II Mosque. This is the largest mosque in Africa and the third largest in the world. We really enjoyed learning about the mosque and seeing the beautiful architecture.

Jean Carlo and the Kim Kim team were fantastic! We worked with him to plan an incredible trip, and everything happened on time, and without fail. It was so easy to plan a terrific vacation, and we will be using KimKim to visit other countries for sure!

Costa Rica is a beautiful intricate layering of ecosystems, cultures, and people. The sunset tour on lake Arenal at the foot of the volcano was by far the favorite and not to be missed! Also the coffee chocolate tour and Maleku reservation. We had the best weather and most comfortable stay in La Fortuna.

The cloud forest lodge was also an excellent accommodation in Monteverde. The food is amazing with incredible views and bird watching. Unfortunately it rained so heavily we were not able to enjoy our tours.

The end of our stay was a disappointment. The Hotel Naoz was about a 45 minute walk from the Mandrake reserve and the ocean . The rooms were very small and smelled of gas, and the amenities were lacking comfort. Soaps smelled medicinal in a bad way. The toilet paper was thin and rough to the touch. So bad that we asked to go back to our accommodations in San Jose. This was so unfortunate when we later learned of all the options at the opening of the Mandrake reserve that we could have stayed at instead. We booked well enough in advance that this could have been avoided had we been familiar with the area.

Phil was very helpful in getting us back to San Jose where we could enjoy the museums and markets and were back in the comfort of the Presidente hotel.

Six of us went on a private van with a driver. KimKim did an excellent job with arranging our experience.

Yassine was an excellent trip planner and was in contact with us frequently and responded to all of our questions promptly. Our driver, Said with MOBT, was one of the highlights of our trip. He was so engaging and kind. He went out of his way to make sure our Morocco trip was superb. He was available any time night or day once we got to our overnight locations and stopped along the ways to bring us treats, stops for coffee, food. He is a GEM.

The 14 day trip was absolutely spectacular. We started at Casablanca, then went to Rabat, Chefchouen, Fes, the Sahara desert (camel back riding and night in a tent), Ousseriea, to name a few. The Atlas mountains were amazing - we saw Barbary macaques amongst the pine trees! The people of Morocco are so nice and they are used to tourists.

I recommend all of these locations, they were all so different. KimKim was an excellent choice.

We had an amazing trip for our family with teenage kids and my parents. For the Womens World Cup. We started in Sydney, then to Brisbane and Melbourne. We ended in New Zealand in Wellington and Auckland. All of the hotels were very nice. We had many great tours/activities. One of the best excursions was The America’s Cup in Auckland. Sabina was very helpful.

Worth every penny! Our trip was fantastic, it was planned in every detail. All the places we went were worth visiting. The lodges were fantastic as well as the services provided, the food and the activities. The car was very good. Thank you Petru for organizing an amazing trip for us. We will certainly get back to you to organize our next trip around there.

Overall, we had a a great experience using KimKim and interacting with our specialist, Gary. Gary was very responsive and we got answers to our questions right away. The responsiveness was one of the first reasons we liked KimKim and decided to book with them. Gary was able to find an amazing hotel with a great view and location for us. Gary also had wonderful suggestions for things we might like to do or see, and he offered a great guide on good eats. We loved our walking tour of The Rocks and had a very personable guide. The Blue Mountains tour and our Aboriginal tour of the botanical gardens were both very memorable. The Sydney Opera House was, itself, of course, impressive and iconic, but our tour for the Opera House didn't really compare to The Rocks tour or other tours we took. Our favorite thing that we did in Sydney was the Bridge Climb. We loved our twilight climb! It was raining, cold, and dark when we went, but the climbing suits keep you warm and dry, the tour guides are amazing and energetic, and the views are breathtaking. The only thing that happened on our vacation that I think KimKim could improve on, was two of our tour times were incorrectly written in our itinerary. We ended up missing our tour time for our Rocks tour because the itinerary mistakenly listed its end time as the start time. The Rocks Tour company was easy to work with and fixed this for us right away, but we discovered our other tour for that day was also listed incorrectly in the KimKim itinerary, so we ended up missing the end of the Rocks tour and dashing to the next tour. When we asked Gary about the mix-up, he was very apologetic and checked all of our remaining tour times and schedules to make sure everything was lined up correctly.

This show was an interesting addition to our trip. It was basically a cabaret show and dinner. The dinner was good and the show had great music and dancing. However, the boat itself was having some issues that needed some maintenance. There was water leaking onto one of the dining tables from the ceiling (this was an inside dining room, so it was not water or mist from the cove). Luckily, no one was seated at that table, but that makes me suspect it was a known problem. The pace of the show was also very slow. The show started and stopped multiple times, which I suspect was to account for large crowds and serving dinner, but we had a rather small crowd for our show time, and the pace was just off, like the entire tour time was 3 hours, but with the dinner and the show, it really could have wrapped up in 2 hours.

I loved this experience. Our tour was a private tour and it really made it more personal. We were able to ask questions freely and learnt about a whole different history of Sydney and Australia's people. It was really interesting to combine this tour and the Rocks tour on our trip because there was overlap discussing some of the same histories and peoples from different perspectives (The Rocks Tour was mostly from an European perspective and this tour, was obviously, more of an Aboriginal perspective). We also got to learn about some of the different uses of the plants in the garden.
