Robi helped us to plan the most magical trip along the coast of Croatia. He had previously visited each of the locations himself and made fabulous recommendations for what we could do and see and eat! Robi cares deeply about the experience his clients will have in his home country and it shows. He communicated with us the entire time and made sure everything was going well, and it was! This was such a well thought out trip, everything was coordinated so well, we didn’t need to worry about anything!

Not only did he do an amazing job of helping us plan and coordinate our trip but he was also a guide for one of our activities! He is a wonderful tour guide, took us to places that felt authentic and were so special.

I cannot recommend Robi enough, he truly loves Croatia and wants you to see it in the same way he does.

We appreciated the historical knowledge of our guide, Ibrahim, in Istanbul. He made sure we were able to see and do what we requested with flexibility and space to explore. Everything throughout the hotel was clean. I would have given 5 stars if the rooftop terrace was an active, working part of the hotel instead of an after thought place to sit. There was a bar but drinks were delivered from the lobby instead of using this space.

Their work is extremely nice and, while the designs/shapes are basically the same whatever place you wish to buy, it is very apparent their work is superior. I only gave it 4 stars because I didn't know there would be such an emphasis on making a purchase. Same for the carpet place we visited. When you are young you want to buy items. When you are old like me, you are trying to get rid of your stuff - not add to it.

If you enjoy aggressive driving, you will love the taxi ride to/from the tower. That experience was actually the most fun as we took many back streets to avoid traffic jams.

Istanbul is soo big that the boat ride helps you see things that would otherwise take too much time to see via land. It is a nice respite from all the walking. Grab a bite to eat from one of the many nice restaurants under the bridge. The food is good and you start to get a feel for how busy the waterway actually is.

I was nervous about using an online travel company, but Chris made it easy. After initially filling out an online profile, Chris worked with me to plan a 10 day trip in Greece for my husband and me and our 2 adult children and their spouses. He had great suggestions, tailored to our interests. We wanted to get off the beaten path and spent several days on a self-drive through some great coastal towns in the Peloponnese area. Chris took care of every detail - airport transfers, flight to Santorini, hotel accommodations, tours of historical sites, a winery tour with lunch, and a catamaran cruise. We enjoyed personalized tours and the guides were all so knowledgeable and fun. The small boutique hotels Chris suggested for us were all unique and just what we wanted. We were happy to get to meet Chris after we arrived in Athens, and he checked in with us every few days to make sure everything was going smoothly. His communication throughout the planning process and trip was terrific.

What an incredible trip!! Samir was beyond amazing and went way out of his way to make sure we were always happy. Advice: Spend as little time in Casablanca as possible.And the hotel there wasn't great. BUT.. The hotel in Chefchouen was wonderful and the Riad hotel in Fes was spectacular! The agency was excellent.. and there was one snafu (As there always are) and they stepped up and fixed it asap way better than we imagined. Great job!!!

My husband and I originally spoke to Chris when we were planning our honeymoon around 3 years ago, and he had arranged the most incredible trip to Greece full of island hopping and wine/food/cultural tours that we were so excited for! Unfortunately the pandemic stopped us from visiting Greece as we originally planned.

When we were finally ready to travel again, our circumstances had changed as we had a toddler and another baby on the way! Not only did Chris adapt our trip to make it child and bump friendly, he also somehow managed to retain the honeymoon glamour we always wanted. We visited Athens, Naxos and Santorini and had a cultural tour guide arranged in each place (all of which were fantastic!).

If anyone is looking to go to Greece anytime soon, please please use Chris - you will not regret it!

Our trip was great , made easy through Kim Kim who we didn’t know about prior to the trip and simply booked online with them.

Highlights were Jaresh (a surprise as we didn’t know anything about it), Petra (there is plenty of time to hike to the Monastery (definitely worth doing) and the Dead Sea (the Movenpick resort is an amazing resort too), plus our driver Mohammed who was particularly knowledgeable, kind, accommodating and a safe driver.

The only negative was the accommodation in Wadi Rum- mazayen camp which was very run down and disappointing. Described as luxury but far from it! Everything was falling apart. Personally, I would give Wadi Rum a miss and do an extra night at Movenpick Dead Sea.

We had an great trip to Iceland! The trip was well-planned by Gummi (Guðmundur Óli) who created a road trip that explored the Golden Circle and various sights along the Southern coast of Iceland. Each day allowed us to see different sites but wasn't jam-packed with stops (which was good as we were traveling with an older couple that moved somewhat slower than my wife and me). Everything was smooth & seamless and the rental car (Toyota Land Cruiser) was ideal for 4 people & luggage. Some of the highlights for me were a concert at the Harpa concert hall in Reykjavik, lunch at the Friðheimar Tomato Farm, the Skógafoss Waterfall, the black sand beach and basalt columns of the Reynisdrangar Sea Cliffs, and the Jökulsárlón Glacier / Diamond Beach.
I would definitely like to come back to Iceland - especially to spend some time hiking and to get to know the locals better and not just be around tourists. I am also intrigued by some of Iceland's artists - I saw some works by Hrafnkell Sigurðsson and some interesting work in some of the Reykjavik artist's co-ops.

The trip to Portugal was wonderful - a good mixture of activities and leisure time. Everything ran smoothly and having a WhatsApp group for sharing information added a level of support and assistance that was very useful.

Highlights were the day trips to Sintra and the Douro Valley and the relocation trips to and from Porto when we explored areas outside of the main urban areas.

Marguerita was our favorite guide - she was informative and fun and we enjoyed our Lisbon walking tour with her very much. Miguel was our driver for 4 of our 6 rides. He was very genial and accommodating and provided great restaurant tips. We also enjoyed John, our guide on the rabelo boat on the Douro River.

In Lisbon, the hotel was nice and we appreciated the extra room provided by the junior suite. However the location was not convenient to many of the activities and required an Uber or taxi most of the time. The hotel in Porto was perfectly positioned although the rooms were smaller. The hotel in Cascais was perfect in terms of location, amenities and room size.

A couple of constructive suggestions
- It would be helpful to provide a few restaurant recommendations for every area.
- Links to local tour guides for instances when Kim Kim didn’t provide would be useful for the unstructured days

Overall, we enjoyed the sailboat experience; however, the boat itself was not very clean nor the bathrooms - there was no toilet paper. The staff and the other people on board were friendly, but the cleanliness and food were fair. Beau offered to pay for the food since it was our last night, and she even mentioned that the food might not be that great/overpriced. We enjoyed how fast her responses were and her honest opinions!! Definitely recommend her!

We had an incredible experience and Luigi was a dynamic, passionate and spectacular guide. He had the most remarkable ideas and highlights for us to experience. Some of his unique ideas that we experienced:
1. Meeting Dr. John Sadler (an historian) and walking through ruins learning about them as well as all of Scotland
2. Flyfishing in unspoiled waters with the local Fisherman
3. Oh the STORYTELLER!! Did I mention her? She was just absolutely amazing and we had an incredible visit to a castle with her.
4. High Tea...WE LOVED IT
5. Seeing Edinbugh through and through, with lots of Hidden Gems
6. Visit to an incredible castle and meeting an remarkable heraldry artist
6. We had actually hidden gems all throughout our trip (Including a highland festival!)

Every day Luigi would send us a comprehensive summary of our day that we read each morning to our family which boosted our excitement for what we were going to see and experience. Everyday was unique and special for us.

Luigi was also incredibly accommodating and we worked with us to adjust and modify our schedule when we needed. He was always available, attentive and responsive.
I cannot recommend Luigi enough!

This trip was a mother/daughter trip for the first time since covid and it couldn’t have gone better!! Mohammed, Said and our driver, Ilyace were amazing! We were there during the earthquake and Said reacted very quickly to ensure that we were safe. Our local guides in Fes, Essaouira and Marrakech were great and very knowledgeable about their cities. My only quip was that the Fes and Marrakech tours tried to take us to a rug co-op (we did one in Fes) and we ended up at a Berber apothecary co-op twice as well. There didn’t seem to be communication as to the activities we had completed in a previous city. Some of the stores also felt very pushy for sales. But that’s definitely not Said, Ilyace or anyone with KimKim/Original Travels fault!

This was our most amazing trip yet. Beatriz of Espiritu Travel was with us every step of the way. She sent the most amazing app we've ever seen and updated it as the trip went on. Everything was on there--our guides' phone numbers, when they would pick us up, what restaurants to go to, everything. She also found things for us to do which we would never have found on our own. For instance, we had seen a large quinta in Bon Appetit which we really wanted to visit for lunch. We asked our local guide, Pepe, if we should go there or to the one Bea had picked out. He pointed out that the one Bea had picked out was a local farmer in the Duoro Valley and told us the entire experience would be better. He was right!
She also found a local olive grower in the Evora region w had us at his home for olive oil tasting and then a lunch (just the four of us)! We would never have found these people by ourselves. Paolo, our favorite guide, took us on an unscheduled stop to a hill town which would put the famous hill towns in Tuscany to shame. These are just some examples of why we are going to make every trip a kimkim trip.
