Things turned out better than expected. Our guides were all fabulous, very knowledgeable and friendly. Laura is very sweet, we met in Bogota and took us to the Salt Mines which is impressing, among other things. Roberto in Cartagena was great, beautiful city. We had another guide that talked about Gabriel Garcia Marques who was great and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed very much our visit to Medellin with our guide Froi who was fabulous. We went to Peñol and Guatape which I personally loved the most. We also had a great experience in Comuna 13 seeing all the art, grafitis and music. The hotels selected were spectacular. The Drivers were all very nice and patient.
I used this company for the first time and will definetely use it again. They took excellent care of all the details.
My next trip will be Italy and hope it is as amasing as this one.

Here was the only dinner I did not enjoy. Super, and I mean SUPER expensive. It is an experience but I did not like hardly any of the entries. They even gave us ants as part of a dish. I asked for the pairing which I thought was wine pairing but they gave us all sorts of hard licor. I finished drunk and forgot to check if they had subtracted the amout we had to pay when we made the reservation. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Wow...it is hard to write about all the amazing experiences we had without writing a novel. From the beginning Christos was curious and interested in knowing about us so he could really personalize the trip. He gave options, asked questions, got on the phone so we could work out some of the intricacies... attentive and genuinely curious...he wanted this trip to be magical. And it was! Other notes about Christos and travel12 (the on the ground support) were little touches like having our boarding passes for the following day printed at our hotels when we arrive, checking in to ask how the trip is going, and fast responses when we did have questions.

The first week of the trip was self planned. Christos coordinated a rental car and Kyros at Kosmos rental car was so easy to work with. He called me when we landed and told me exactly how to find him. It was a smooth and caring transition after a 19 hour flight. This week included Monemvasia, a full tour of the Mani peninsula, sea kayaking in Kardimyli, Mycenae, Nafplio, and so many wonderful beaches, tavernas, and new friends.

The Athens/parthenon day of the trip was interesting (hot and tiring as well but it was also August). We did the mythology tour with Eleni as a host and learned a lot, had fun seeing the sites while also learning. Christos booked us a wine tasting dinner that evening at Cinque wine bar. The wines were wonderful, the food was delicious, the parings were unique and the education about Greek wine making was fantastic. The staff were all so friendly and it was proper greek dinner (3 hours of leisurely enjoying and being with family and friends).

On to Meteora! Words lack for the absolute wonder that is Meteora. Our guide... the only one whose name I don't remember but her style and knowledge were off the charts! She was really wonderful, answered questions, gave us time where we were curious and made sure to get us to a sunset view (even skipped the crowded one and took us to a better spot). We were super hungry as the tour wrapped up so she drove us to her favorite local taverna and made sure we knew how to get to our hotel after dinner. Our hotel was sweet and a lovely picturesque spot. We were comfortable and slept so well!

Delphi...my body still feels the energy there. The tour was an evening tour which was perfect! there weren't many people, it was cooler and we had time to really take it in. We started at the museum and Marillia walked us through giving us a history lesson and answering our many questions. She was mindful to move through the museum in a way where we weren't with multiple other tours. We appreciated this for multiple reasons (covid, over stimulation, and we could actually see the pieces we were talking about). As we walked to the oracle we were really able to feel and be with the energy of the space. Marillia was also interested in the ways that energy transmits and talked about her experience of Delphi as someone who doesn't live there but goes there to work 1-2x/week. It is a place where you feel shifts in you. I had a calm and curious energy and my partner has an active/excited energy. It was really unique. The temples/ruins are stunning and the views are breathtaking. The federales hotel was a sweet little spot. The room was small but perfect for one night. the view from the balcony was amazing!

Xania was a different world. We stayed in an Airbnb in the old town center and the streets were packed with people! It was an amazing experience to walk through the town and see ruins and new buildings intermixed. The botanical gardens were absolutely amazing! We had so much fun walking through and experiencing the many plants and then a truly delicious meal. The beaches of Crete are truly unique and beautiful.

The drive from Xania to Iraklio was beautiful. We made a stop in Rythemno and then decided to keep going and find a little taverna where we could swim and get fresh fish. We were not disappointed in our stop. In Iraklio we spent a day at the castle of Knossos. Lina was a delight. She knew the rhythm of the crowds at Knossos and she moved us around the ruins so that we could really see and enjoy it fully. It was one of the most spectacular of the many ruins. I only wish we had the time to go to the other castles on Crete.

Thera...you really don't get it until you get here. Constantinos was our driver from the boat to the hotel and into Oia. He was so lovely. He told us about the geography of the area and what he fell in love with and brought him to the island. He was sweet and worked with us as we got to the hotel and had a little timing conundrum. Oia was beautiful and interesting. We were admittedly done with tourist spots at this point so we took the time to focus on gifts we wanted to get for people and enjoyed a few hours of shopping and cafes/tavernas. We watched the sunset from our hotel, Kasimatis suites. Christos did us right on this one. We were in Imerovigli, highest point, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The waterless farming tour with Ana was an absolute highlight of the trip. She was so sweet and dedicated to what she loves. Her family, her land, and her food. She taught us about the way they do anhydrous farming. How it changes the flavors and textures of the food. And the cooking/sharing a meal portion of the day really brought the group together. Ana was really good at asking the group questions that sparked deeper conversation and created a sense of family for a day. the wineries were really interesting and the tastings were enjoyable. What I took from this day is the absolute loveliness that was Ana's love and passion.

Jit, my guide in Delhi was excellent as was driver Pushkar. I particularly enjoyed visiting Pushkar.

Jenny organized an unforgettable journey around the Golden Circle and Ring Road...waterfalls, glaciers, lava fields, craters, geothermal pools, geysers, black sand beaches, unique landscapes, wildlife (birds, sheep, horses, whales). As a bonus, we also saw the Northern Lights! We had enough activities to compensate for time in the car. Suggested points of interest and accommodations did not disappoint. We did a 10 classic trip planned by Austin, to see as much as we could. We stayed mostly near the coast and had an amazing time! Some of our favorite spots were the Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle. The Cliff's of Moher and The Dingle Peninsula.
We started talking and planning this trip with Austin in January and visiting Ireland in September. The summer crowds had died down and we got to enjoy not being rushed or waiting in lines. We were in constant contact with Austin. At one point we added 2 nights in order to see Northern Ireland and Austin was able to adjust the entire itinerary to meet our request. We're so glad we added northern Ireland! This was an amazing trip and wonderful experience and I would love to go back someday!

Roberto planned every detail perfectly. He was always available to answer our questions. He was able to give us good alternative options when weather impacted original plans.

A few hiccups in Italy (late ferry resulting in no available taxi), but these were resolved. The sign of a good agent is that any issues that did crop up were resolved quickly and with politeness. Highly recommend this agent/agency.

I initially thought I could plan our trip to Greece on my own. However upon delving into the planning phase, I immediately felt overwhelmed. I did not feel confident in booking the various ferries from island to island , and choosing a hotel was totally overwhelming, because of all the options.

I found Kim Kim travel service randomly on the Internet. I had never heard of them before. I decided to take the survey asking me questions about our travel preferences, priorities and some general personal information thinking “what could it hurt?” In a very short time I received a reply from Amalia. After a few conversations via Text, she put together an impressive preliminary itinerary.
Amalia was always very quick to answer my many questions.
We recently returned from our 10 day trip and everything Amalia planned for us was perfect!! The hotels, the activities, the transportation… we have zero complaints! I liked that everything was already paid for so we didn’t have to worry about that. She knew the best ferries to book, with the best seats ! Having drivers lined up was so helpful, especially on the picking up from the Athens airport upon our arrival, when we were so tired. The activities she arranged (after our chats via text) were perfect for us ( based on our age / abilities). We also had just the right of unscheduled time to do what we wished.
I can’t speak for any Kim Kim travel agents other than Amalia,. But we are so grateful to her. The amount of time and stress she saved me from trying to do it on my own is immeasurable!

Cycling experience in Mykonos

This was one of our favorite activities of our 10 day trip! We elected to use E-bikes, as I had always wanted to try one. Now I want to purchase one! Our guide, co- owner Demetria was so kind and patient, and her talk about the culture was so interesting. She took lots of photos of us , which she emailed to us a few days later. The ride to the nearby beach was lovely. I recommend arriving early and have a bite to eat/ wine at the organic winery on the same premises. The one thing to be aware of , it’s location is quite remote, out in the country. It’s a bit difficult to find .It is an expensive cab ride… but worth it!!

All of our guides were amazing during the trips as well - I wish I could remember all of their names. Every driver was nice and punctual, though Toni with iCareLimo was exceptional. We enjoyed every single city and accommodations, though Naples was a place that we would have rather traded for an extra night in Sorrento or Rome. The pizza was spectacular, but the city itself was not particularly tourist or honeymoon friendly. We absolutely LOVED and enjoyed every second of our trip and thank Harris for coordinating everything for us so we could just follow the plans and enjoy our honeymoon

Iceland is one jaw-dropping moment after another. The diversity and uniqueness of the landscapes are unmatched. We were so glad that we spent the time to do the ring road, and quite a few side trips, and not just spend the vacation in Reykjavik and the Golden Circle. Our favorite moments were away from the crowds and out and about in the countryside just soaking in the beauty and exploring trails, F-roads and black sand beaches.

Our trip specialist, Jenny, was incredibly responsive and helpful in the planning phase and we especially appreciated all the detailed directions ahead of time as this was mostly a self-guided trip. This is our 3rd kimkim trip and we'll be back for more.

The planning went fine. Oleksandra was helpful with her suggestions. The trip itself did not go smoothly. And communication with KimKim during the trip was extremely difficult. KimKim expected me to communicate in a WhatsApp that made no sense. Even my kids don’t know what that is. The emergency number didnt always answer and no one ever returned our calls. and Oleksandra told me she doesn’t respond to emails when she isn’t working. We were not informed of the difficulties exchanging currency and the hotels were not always as described. The hotel in Santiago was in a terrible and dangerous neighborhood, and the bar and restaurant were closed for the season so we had to venture out at night to find an open restaurant. It was very scary. It would have also been nice to know we were crossing the border on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere and had to pass a Covid test to get into Chile! What if we failed the test??? Also, our driver didn’t have National Park tickets we needed (they were delivered the next day) the hotel in Puerto Natale didn’t provide a box lunch for our day long glacier tour so we had to ask for food from other travelers. The hotel in Buenos Aires was nice but located in a bad area. Finally, it took 3 tries to get Oleksandra to respond about a refund for Tango tickets we could not use because of a cancelled flight. I am grateful she got a 50% refund but she could have been more responsive.

We used KimKim because of local knowledge and we paid a lot of money to KimKim for that. Patagonia was a marvel but would have been much more enjoyable without the stress of dealing with KimKim.

Everything was great - the pace was just about right for us - with more guidance and hand-holding at the beginning of the trip - when we needed it most! We had several outstanding guides - Sandra was wonderful in the hills outside of Florence, Francesca was outstanding in the Coliseum - she was studying archaeology and her enthusiasm was amazing - made a 4 hour tour seem like an hour or so...
Venice was incredible - the experience of getting off a train and jumping into a boat/taxi to get to the hotel was memorable.
Jessica and her team were always available via text - and when there were minor connections issues (driver late - we couldn't find each other) - they were taken care of within a couple of minutes - excellent support.
We didn't know what to expect from 'pizza school' - but it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip - I thought it might be a bit 'touristy', but it was a wonderful experience. Would recommend it to anyone.
The day on the Amalfi coast was great - our guide was wonderful - and did not make us feel hurried.
The only minor issue was that we had 2 different drivers that did not have the exact address of the hotel. In one case (at the beginning) in Florence - the driver let us off without verifying that we were at the right place - and in Sorrento, the driver pointed us to the wrong street - fortunately we insisted that he stay with us until we entered the hotel. Please make sure the drivers have the exact address of the hotel - instead of just the hotel name.

Please note that the hotel breakfasts were perfect - enough variety to satisfy anyone.

Our 4 hour tour with Francesca was amazing. She became a friend during that time. Her enthusiasm was infectious - and helped us appreciate what we were seeing. At the end, we couldn't believe that 4 hours had passed - it seemed like an hour - maybe two. We are so glad we got to meet her.

Valentine did a great job in communicating with us in the mornings (as she is based in France). She picked beautiful boutique hotels with delicious breakfasts. We were very happy with her recommendations for tours and events to make our first visit to France incredibly memorable.

While in France, we felt like we were supported and in good hands if anything went awry (CDG strikes)

Lessons Learned:
- Pick half day excursions if you like to explore on your own. Full day tours are fantastic but although they don't last 12 hours it will fill up your day.

We had a wonderful trip to Portugal and Spain! All our accommodations were great and centrally located! All of our tours were wonderful with great and knowledgeable guides! The only issue was our driver from Lisbon to Porto! He was a horrible driver and I know Bill Moody has addressed that with you and you are looking into it!

Marina was exceptionally helpful and responsive in working with me to plan this 2 week trip. We visited Lisbon, Évora, Funchal (Island of Madeira), Porto & Cascais. All of our daytime tours and intercity transportation came together like clock work. Our hotel properties at each stop were well located and provided comfort with nice amenities. Everything was great but we especially highly recommend a visit to Madeira. We won't hesitate to use KimKim for our future travel planning.

We had a wonderful trip with Morocco Immersion Tours & Adventures! When booking, Sharon was quick to respond to all of our questions and help us create the perfect itinerary for our week in Morocco.

From start to finish, everything was perfectly planned and we got to do and see everything we set out to. The local guides in each area (Marrakech, Tinghir, and Kasbah Tamnougalt) were all very knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and patient with picture taking. At each Riad (Riad Nesma in Marrakech, Chez Ichou, and Kasbah Itrane Tamnougalt) and the desert camp we were provided with delicious food and attentive service. If you decide to do a desert overnight at the wonderful Palais des Dunes Luxury Camp don’t miss out on leaving camp in the evening to do some star gazing - it can’t be beat! Additionally, on your way out of Ourzazate, visit Taman’Art Space, a unique artist’s collective founded by the incredibly talented local artist, Aissa Joud.

What made the trip special was how wonderful our driver, Mahmoud, was - you truly couldn’t ask for a better person to show you around such a beautiful country. From Marrakech to the Sahara and back, Mahmoud went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, introducing us to fantastic music (we are now gnawa fans for life), and teaching us so much about Moroccan and Amazigh culture. Mahmoud did an amazing job getting us from place to place safely, connecting us with local excursions and making sure my dietary restrictions were understood (i.e., celiac) when we stopped for meals. If you are lucky enough to visit Morocco, you will be twice as lucky if you have Mahmoud as your driver. Not only did we have a fantastic trip, we gained a wonderful friend as well!

It was a once in a lifetime trip that we will never forget and we can’t wait to come back!
