KimKim.com made planning my trip to Costa Rica easy. The service was excellent. I received messages from Brittany and Ryan every step of the way. If I had a question, they had an answer for me within the day. In addition, the ability to select locations, activities, and hotels ala carte made planning more personal. Activities were a combination of group and individual choices. Hotel selections included three- to five-star aminities.

As a whole, what you all planned was good. I am not pleased that you all forgot to pick us up at a train station. It was hot and we paid too much for this level of unprofessionalism. This issue is compounded by the steep pricing.

Liz Karen from Andean Travel experience prepared my itinerary after a brief back and forth while Paul Zegarra served as my POC while in Peru for 16 days. Liz's recommendations were perfect for my solo trip that involved numerous activities, excursions, lodging locations, airports, domestic flights, pick ups/drop offs, etc. The lengthly itinerary was executed flawlessly without incident. Accommodations were great. No doubt this feat required a great deal of "behind the scenes" coordination and communication before and during my journey. Regardless of the time of day, Paul was available via WhatsApp and answered all questions I had regarding the itinerary. He provided the assurances needed to eliminate the usual worry. Everything flowed flawlessly including 3 - day excursions from or in Cusco, a 5 day trek to Machu Picchu on the Salkantay Trail, and a river cruise on the Amazon and into the rain forrest. Peru and the trip exceeded expectations. Easy to recommend the kimkim platform and Andean Travel Experience.

Our family had a very good time in Greece. Our trip was very well planned and we enjoyed very much all the planned excursions.

We missed the experience because we were not notified to meet at 930 instead of 10pm. Disappointing.

Firstly about KimKim (and I guess by definition about Olman) - whilst in hindsight I probably COULD have organised most of the things on this trip myself - having Olman do it (and super efficiently as well it has to be said) certainly took all the hassle away, and gave me a very useful security blanket (which was called upon and deployed successfully) - so you pay more - you get more - the choice is yours.

Olman was patient with me as I changed my mind on what I thought I wanted to do and the price I was willing to pay. No rush in getting us to pay our final bill which was appreciated.........

Mixed feelings about Costa Rica have to say.

Darned expensive for family of 5 from the UK right now - exchange rate not helping for sure. We also forgot (coming from the UK) that sales tax is levied - but never included in menus or on price tickets - it always hits you as a surprise when you pay the final bill. So whenever you consider a meal out - factor in 13% sales tax, plus service charge and so on...

Not surprisingly I guess, given the reliance on the tourist dollar, Costa Rica charges you for EVERYTHING…Wonderful scenery - if you can afford to pay for the view!

Every National Park charges entry of $16 / person / per day - no family rates, no multi-day, multi-location passes (missing a trick here for us families for sure). Every wonderful waterfall you read about is fully “monetised“ (on private land always so unsurprisingly again) but $20 each for a walk to a albeit fantastic waterfall gets pretty expensive. I KNOW our wealth as tourists is substantial in comparison but when you’ve saved for eons doesn’t mean that you have loads of options to do all the things available to you. I know that tourism is CR’s lifeblood in many ways but it does make you appreciate some of the fantastic sites, and holiday possibilities closer to home. How many waterfalls are charged for in the UK for example?

Having said all that there were plenty of memorable experiences:
- Monteverde / St Helena area - chilled vibe
- a night tour in a private reserve with a great guide spotting stick insects, frogs, tarantula, toucan etc. that was pretty special (via Reserva Curi Chanca in Monteverde)
- boat tour around jungle canals with monkeys and iguana in Toruguero
- Zip lining above the forest canopy was pretty exciting with last section over a k in length - again near Monteverde (via https://selvatura.com/).
- Hotel Plaza Yara near Manuel Antonio - lovely chilled hotel
- Hiked up to the top of an old volcano - Cerro Chato on the Arenal area - really challenging up a dry stream bed conscious all the time that a storm would make it an altogether different challenge! It is apparently illegal to do this trip (so less said about this great experience the better possibly....)

Trips I was less enamoured with were
- canyoning near La Fortuna - via https://www.puretrek.com/ - they rushed us through - pretty much tied us the ropes, lowered us down, ushered us the next drop and were keen to see us through and gone. No element of the slightest danger for sure - but hey - at least let us play the rope ourselves if we choose to do some rappelling eh??
- hot springs, again in La Fortuna - at https://ecotermalesfortuna.cr/ - one pool "hot" - others pretty tepid - all very plush but misses the natural feel you'd have in Iceland for example. Meal was good though!
- Manuel Antonio National Park - crowded, not allowed to take any food in (for understandable reasons) - but then have grotty cafe with overflowing bins and wasps, no access to furthest beaches - very underwhelming for me personally
- Diving off the Catalina Islands - shit viz - but them's the breaks when you go diving

We went in the rainy season - so that meant the afternoon storms when they happened were biblical - and very impressive in their own right! Having said that - quite a few days where we had no rain and it certainly didn't spoil the trip. It pays not to be out on anything less than a really good road if you have a hire car in these conditions.

We’ve paid quite a bit for good hotels and for me personally it’s meant a certain lack of real interaction with other travellers - kids have loved the comfort though!

Greece is a destination spot for a lot of folks around the world and planning a trip with all the traveling and scheduling details is a huge and daunting effort. Angela made that effort look so seamless and easy that I had to pinch myself as to whether I am truly in Greece vacationing and enjoying to the fullest. After the initial consultation session to show our interests she put together a trip plan that suited our needs. Every step of the way, we had drivers or tour operators waiting for us to show us beautiful Greece. The most stunning places were in Santorini and Crete, again the tours completely catered to what our needs were and it was the most amazing experience. I wish for my future travels, we can use Angela, but unfortunately she is travel advisor for Greece only. So for my future travels, I will most definitely use kimkim and hope to get another Angela to make our vacation the most memorable one.

Cannot thank Huyen and the team enough for providing a wonderful trip. The guides and itinerary were excellent and exactly what we were looking for - complicated dietary and travel requirements were met with no issues and we had an amazing time. Would have no hesitation to recommend Vietnam, KimKim and Huyen a thousand times over!

Tamer organized our trip to Galapagos with utmost precision and attention to the smallest details. He was endlessly patient, always willing to tweak the plans until everything was laid out to our liking (including the budgetary aspect). During our stay in Galapagos we visited Santa Cruz, Isabella and San Cristobal islands, all activities were well planned and ran with clockwork smoothness. Throughout our trip Tamer stayed on top of things, being in constant touch, and monitoring our wellbeing, which permitted him to successfully resolve whatever minor glitches happened. Tamer only works with the most professional local guides, so whoever we met during our adventure was extremely nice, courteous and competent.
Thank you, Tamer, for these happy memories, and we hope to be back to Ecuador again, so that you can organize more adventures for us.

Our trip to Catalunya was fantastic. Working together with Bea translated into a perfect mix of city culture and relaxing fun on the coast.

We absolutely loved our tapas tour to kick off our first day in Barcelona. It was a PERFECT introduction to the Catalan culture. Another food orientated experience we enjoyed was a cooking class. The experience was special because we were welcomed into the chef's home with a small group. The personal and semi-private atmosphere with other people from around the world was wonderful.

One of the highlights was our private Gaudí Architecture Walk. It. was. fabulous. Our guide was excellent and continuously responded to our interests and needs. We also enjoyed having the flexibility in our schedule to explore. Our lodging was in the thick of the activity on La Rambla, but we also enjoyed taking the public transportation and getting to other parts of Barcelona. We went to the beach and up to Park Gruel, both very "outdoorsy" for an urban location.

Once our trip shifted to the beach, we loved the relaxing vibe of the coast. We were still able to tap into cultural experiences such a Dali's museum and home while kayaking the next day. After a few days in the city, it was a perfect transition for our vacation.

We loved working with Bea and KimKim for our vacation. Providing a downloadable app that held our itinerary and all important links, etc. was impressive. We could easily contact KimKim during our trip and we appreciated this availability.

Very professional and helpful. Our room was on the lower end, I believe, so we were in an "inside" room. Whereas this felt like a negative, I will admit the room was very, very quiet. Located on La Rambla, it was impressively quiet. The front desk people were always helpful and polite. We appreciated them a great deal. The breakfast was wonderful. The common room was also helpful to sit and relax and plan your day.

Perfect location. The room was meets all your travel needs. The breakfast is very nice as you can take it outside to the pool area. The pool was wonderful because it was so hot. Even though the A/C is fine, it was nice to dip into the pool after a hot day. The lounge on the roof was a wonderful bonus. Wonderful! Everyone was very nice and professional. Note - you can't park there, you need to park in one of the lots outside the city. Not a far walk at all, but good to know.

Half-Day Kayak Excursion along Costa Brava

From Market to Table: Cook Authentic Spanish Dishes

Fabulous! We enjoyed all 3 parts of this experience. First, a tour of the market. Second, the chef cooked different tapas and explained the food in the different areas of Spain as we ate and drank. Finally, we prepared our meal under her watchful guidance. All 3 parts were engaging, intriguing, and educational. The chef was extremely personable, fun, yet professional. To add to this, the shared small group experience was delightful.

Bravo! What a wonderful experience! It was the most culturally authentic experience of our time in Barcelona. I enjoyed the smaller, more personal theater and the energy of the show. Also, the show is not super long, it is a perfect amount of time to include in an evening. The tapas afterward was excellent in that as you spill out of the theater you don't have to start to figure out where you are going to eat. The transition is perfect. Add it to your itinerary. You won't regret it.

An amazing 4 hours. Our guide taught us about Gaudi while we immersed ourselves in the architecture. I liked that we did not go into every house/building. It was not needed. We went into one and that was very thorough and interesting. The guide was excellent at working with us as far as how fast we went or when we needed a break. This experience proved the value of a private tour vs a group tour.

Our trip to Greece was following 3 weeks in Spain. I didn't know where to start and Amalia not only tailored our trip to our liking but also became a friend I will remember! All the details were planned, drivers, guides, hotels... Our driver who picked us up from the airport was the beginning of an excellent understanding of Athens and its growth. He began our tour by pointing out parts of the city and telling us about Athens which began our journey. We wanted an "off the beaten path" experience in Greece hoping to sail the islands a different year. We wanted to see Meteora and experience Greece coast and country. Working with Amalia proved to be perfect! We left our large luggage at our Athens hotel and headed to Thessaloniki and from there drove to Meteora; breathtaking and wonderous in the history and inspired building of the Byzantine monasteries. We witnessed the historic sites on the coast, farm country, sunflower fields, olive orchards and mountains. Returning to Athens we had a private tour with Anda through the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. Anda's expertise and ability to relate history and her passion for archeology is unparalleled. I would rate her a 10 out of five stars. And then our last day in Athens we met Antonia who walked us through the market, while on our private food tour. We heard history and regional pride in the different "flavors" of Greece from olives to feta to meat and drink. Beyond my expectations!

Our two weeks spent in Italy were absolutely amazing! Kim Kim and our guide Eleni handled all the details big and small from transportation, tours, and hotels. Christos planned a fantastic trip for us. The hotels, tours, and activities were all excellent. We had a particularly memorable tour of the Acropolis, led by an archeologist who brought ancient Greek history to life! An incredible hike in Naxos and tour of Santorini are other highlights that were no less memorable. When we got to Greece we were connected with a local kimkim team who expertly helped us navigate the few snags, such as travel delays, we encountered on our trip.

There was a lovely view of the sunset and caldera from the front porch. Mysteriously, they didn't have washcloths, so if that's important to you, you'll have to bring your own. :-)

What an incredible experience!

Michael was attentive and listened to my needs on the trip. Each guide, Jose and Roberto, were kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Each excursion and outing brought my spouse and I a little closer to the amazing spirit of the people of Colombia. Each accommodation was comfortable and sustainably minded. It was an amazing trip to Jordan! Everything was well planned and because of that it all went smoothly by Samir.
The driver/guide ( Nader ) who accompanied us during the whole trip was a truly a lucky choice. He has deep knowledge of the Jordanian history and culture and he managed to make us feel very comfortable. He did way more than we expected and that we could’ve asked for! I could not have planned nor created a better experience. Tiago knew exactly what we wanted and planned everything to a perfect T. He was extremely helpful and was easily accessible at any time. Airport pickup was easy, all our scheduled accommodations were quick and easy to access. Our guide Joel was awesome and knowledgeable with the history and any questions we had. It is tough to share a favorite experience because it was all fantastic! Tiago and Joel have become lifetime friends and Portugal is now a place close to our hearts. Joel took the time to cater every experience as our guide in the city to what we wanted and was easily adaptable to changes. Our next trip we will be seeking Joel and Tiago to discuss Futbol and Super Bock!! We will be back. Kim Kim is a great connection and I’m more than happy with this experience. Tiago we will be back and remember surfing in Malibu, oh yeah!
