A very nice hotel located just outside the town of Tavira. They have a shuttle to town but if you have a car it is a 5 minute drive. Rooms and breakfast were excellent.

Our room was spectacular and service is excellent. Only downside is the breakfast at the hotel is not that good.

Beautiful old world charm hotel! Room was amazing and I felt like I stepped back in time but with all the modern comforts.

Hotel was nice. Lobby was comfortable and breakfast was plentiful. The room, however, while very comfortable and well appointed was very tight and there was no room to open large suitcases. Also lacking was USB ports and bedside outlets.

The experience as a whole was incredibly enjoyable and unique. The singing and instruments where amazing. Two minor comments: Food was served cold and due to not understanding Portuguese we had no idea what the songs were about. A small description would have been appreciated.

The cruise was on a sailboat and the trip was smooth and informative. Beautiful views of Lisbon. The description from Kimkim stated snacks included and there were none. Also, when we returned to dock the office was closed and it was very difficult to find a cab back to hotel.

Tour got off to bumpy start because there was a marathon our guide was unaware of that had closed many streets. A lot of time wasted working around closed roads. Guide was helpful in getting us up to castle via lifts instead of walking.

What a delight! Our room had a full kitchen including a washer/dryer! Rooms were huge too. Sort of on the edge of all the action of Edinburgh but kind of nice to be on the quieter side but still be able to walk to a lot of stores and eateries. The Royal Mile was maybe a 20-25 minute walk. No food served by establishment but you do get 10% off the integrated cafe in the lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful too.

Massive rooms though maybe a little dated (some might call it 'character'). Centrally located and just a few minutes walk to where the attractions are. There's a nice workout room, but be aware the pool is no longer there. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Everything awesome. Clean, spiffy modern, and centrally located in Soho; walking distance to countless stores, eateries and metro stops. Friendly staff. Our room had a kitchenette complete with sink, dishes and a microwave. Just be aware there is no food served on-premise (not even breakfast).

So beautiful, so clean, so inviting!! Our absolute favorite!! And the chef!! The breakfast!! Hands down the best!!

Venice was amazing to see and experience. A couple days were enough for us.

Having a guide point out the importance of what we were seeing made this special. As a Christian, experiencing where some of the hero’s of our faith taught and died was special.

The details of all the history our guide shared was amazing. And she was able to answer any questions we had.

Very convenient. Breakfast was well appointed, although a little light on hot foods. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Drawbacks: - two very small elevators, one of which was broken for the duration of our stay - very modern room design, with almost no clothing storage, or room for toiletries in the bath - the high sided tub made bathing safely a challenge for anyone with even minor mobility challenges

Luke was an excellent guide- he added a lot of detail on the history of the area, well beyond the food.

The yeoman’s introduction was very helpful. The Crown Jewels were both amazing and obscene at the same time.

Kevin the tour guide was great- very knowledgeable and the pace he set was perfect.

This was the one tour where we felt we had adequate time at each location.

The tour leader was vey knowledgeable and added interesting background at each stop.

Almost a total bust, between the Tube strike and pouring rain. Probably a better experience in better weather.

This multi-level hotel is located the busy Laugavegur street which puts you right in the middle of many Reykjavik attractions. It also puts you right in the middle of a lot of street noise if you are placed in a street facing room! Aesthetically pleasing hotel with a rustic/modern vibe. Easy walk down to the harbor, the church, or to the infamous Brauð bakery! A convenient grocery store is right next to the hotel if you need some snacks for the road.

Located within a university with adjacent university apartment housing just off the Ring Road in West Iceland, this hotel had converted apartment house vibes. The room itself was spacious, updated, very modern, and clean with a gigantic shower! The area itself feels a bit residential with not a lot of restaurants but we had already had dinner in Borgarnes, 30 minutes away. Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of both hot and cold offerings. Great coffee options!

This hotel was previously a boarding school purchased by a young couple a couple of years ago. It is in a very remote location (miles of gravel roads) on the way to Hvítsekur. The owners also run a horse farm adjacent to the hotel, so viewing the beautiful Icelandic horses from our hotel windows was a plus. However, the rooms really do give off a boarding school vibe and are in desperate need of some upgrading. The bathroom was really tiny with an exceptionally small corner shower with a "sticky" shower curtain. Due to the remote location, our dinner option was limited to the hotel restaurant with very limited offerings. Breakfast was a bit sparse with a lackluster spread.

We were charmed by this hotel on the edge of downtown Húsavik. It is an easy 10-minute walk to the harbor front. Since we stayed two nights here, the hotel staff upgraded our room at no charge to a room in the front of the hotel overlooking the bay. This is a family-run hotel with extremely friendly staff. The hotel has an older feel, but that added to it's overall charm. The library (where breakfast is served) is filled with old books in Icelandic and decor that reflects the hotel's history. Check out the little elf house in the yard outside!

After a long day driving along the Eastern Fjords (and lots of mist!) we snuggled into the comfort of this more modern hotel and enjoyed the nice warm shower! We found this hotel to be more Icelandic modern in style situated in town across from a construction site. We stayed on a weekend and did not wake up to any construction noise, but might have if we stayed on a week night. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with good coffee choices!

Modern multi-level hotel with a view of the North Atlantic Ocean. Very clean and comfortable. Hotel restaurant was convenient after a long day of sightseeing.

This hotel complex is located just outside of Vík at the foot of Katla glacier. The hotel is a series of buildings with dormitory-style hotel rooms. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable. Their hot/cold breakfast was generous and tasty. Coffee options were excellent!

Hotel located on current farm in a bit of a more remote location which might have been great for Northern Lights if there were any! Hotel rooms themselves are newer with big bathrooms in a dormitory-style building. Very clean! Breakfast was in the main building and was delicious! Coffee machines offering lattes, cappucinos, and espressos! Wake up to a view of the nearby glacier! Highly recommend!

Located on busy Laugavegur street in central Reykjavik, the hotel is centrally located to easily walk to many of the tourist attractions and eateries in the city. While the hotel staff upgraded our room at no charge, our room was on the second floor facing two noisy streets. There was a lot of street noise and loud music playing until 2 am. A room in the back of the hotel might have been smaller and less "scenic" but quieter. The breakfast was served in a small room and was a bit sparse compared to other hotels where we stayed in Iceland.

About 40 minutes outside of Reykjavik, we went on a guided caving tour of the incredible Lava Tunnel. Over about one hour, we hiked over rocky paths and footbridges which traverse the tunnel's rocky terrain. Along the way, our guide pointed out various geologic features and explained how the tunnel came to be. The tunnel lighting showcases the vivid colors and volcanic rock formations and a "lights out" demonstration illustrated just how dark a tunnel can be!

Departing from Húsavik harbor on a traditional oak fishing boat in Skjálfandi Bay with North Sailing was an unforgettable experience. After about an hour of very misty sailing and some informative narration by our very knowledgable guide, we stopped in an area that revealed a number of active humpback whales. Lots of opportunity to take photos and videos to document the experience! Hot chocolate and cinnamon cookies were a bonus!

Boarded an amphibian boat with about 20 other people to be delivered onto the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, so for anyone who has never ridden in an amphibious vehicle, it was unique! While the boat was somewhat crowded, once we were out on the lake and free to move around, there was plenty of opportunity to look at all of the magical scenery! How other-worldly to be surrounded by floating icebergs recently calved off of the nearly glacier!

Our Glacier and Ice Cave hike with Southcoast Adventure was incredible! After loading a group of about 14 onto a special shuttle, we traveled about 30 minutes to Katla Glacier. After donning helmets and crampons, our guide led us up on a winding path to the ice cave. We stopped at one point to chop at and sample 800 year-old ice. We marveled at how nature has carved out an ice cave out of the glacial ice and stood speechless before it's amazing beauty. Truly a unique experience. Those with limited mobility should probably not attempt this hike.

As avid snorkelers, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! With our own base thermal layer and a thermal jumpsuit and dry suit/hood/gloves provided by Dive.is, we were pleasantly warm enough to thoroughly enjoy this 30-minute swim in freezing cold waters. Mind-blowing to snorkel the crystal-clear blue water and reach out to touch Europe on one side and North America on the other! Highly recommend for the experienced snorkeler.

Great stay. Right in the best spot on the cliff walk with incredible views. The public had the ability to look over the wall into our pool suite, so that was a bit uncomfortable but I think it’s part of the trade off for being so close to everything.

Outstanding location with views on to Lake Zurich. Easy walk from the front of the hotel to the city or the benches by the lake. Very friendly and kind staff, very concerned with guest comfort.

Great location in the center of Interlaken. Enjoyed watching the paragliding from our room balcony. Room was adequate with minimal comfort features and the bathroom was tiny (especially the shower).

Outstanding location with amazing views over Lake Lucerne and the promenade area. Footprint of the room was smaller but everything was first class and comfortable. Soft drinks & some snacks from the mini bar were included and we enjoyed this after touring the city. Dyson hair dryer in the bathroom. Upscale all the way.

Outstanding location with amazing views on to Lake Lugano. We enjoyed a suite with a balcony. Easy walk to town, close to train station and bus station. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast buffet.

The location is outstanding, right on the shore of Lake Como with amazing views, walking distance to the town, and the ferry right next door, and an amazing breakfast buffet. Public areas are very nice, rooms are VERY dated and sadly disappointing.

We toured Mt. Titlus in the morning which was better for a less cloudy view at the top. It was quite crowded with some unruly tour groups. The views were clear but only briefly- at 10,000 ft! We did the glacier cave walk and the suspension bridge. It was amazing! Following this we had a caffe latte and snack in Engleberg and then a cheese making lesson at a local monastery. Our cheese maker was so enthusiastic! He shared lots of information about the local farmer traditions and making cheese as he taught us how cheese is really made. We made some curds and tasted some local farmer cheese at various ages. It was fun.

Ivo gave us a very brief introduction to Zürich by car and then we drove to tour the Lindt House of Chocolate. It was a standard group tour and it’s a self tour with recordings throughout. It’s well done, lots of chocolate samples along the way. It was well attended. Following this we drove to a lovely restaurant only accessible via funicular for a traditional cheese fondue dinner while overlooking Lake Zurich and the city below. It was planned for sunset so we could see the view both in daylight and following sunset with all the lights.

Marta took us on a hike alongside Lake Brienz, a gorgeous turquoise blue lake near Interlaken. Following the tour, we viewed a waterfall nearby. You could hike up and walk behind the falls. For the return to Interlaken, we took a tour boat. Various areas along the lake felt like we were in a rainforest, lunch greenery with moss and ferns. She shared the local history and geography as we hiked.

Richard is a wonderful guide who works hard to ensure his clients enjoy their tour. We shared learning that there are towns in the Lauterbrunnen area where cars are not allowed and he asked if we would like to go to one. We said yes and our tour was immediately edited to suit this desire. It was wonderful to travel to Murren, walk the town, see the outstanding mountain views, watch the BASE jumping and paragliding. It really was quite special. He shared his knowledge of the history of the area as we walked around. He is also very good at photographs. He took all the photos on his phone and them created a file for us to access and download the photos = perfect! We also toured Trummelbach Falls with him - amazing place and he was kind to share information on what we would see and experience in advance - temperature, sound, slippery conditions. Excellent tour!

Dave loves history and regaled us with many details along the tour - to our immense enjoyment. He is very knowledgeable and enjoys sharing what he knows. The details of the Chapel Bridge history and art work is amazing. He arranged a beautiful wine and cheese tasting at a perfect location near the Chapel Bridge. We learned that Dave and Greg worked for the same company in their past careers and his wife worked for Kodak which is headquartered in our home town of Rochester NY.

Miguel drove us to Mt. Pilatus and managed to both be detailed and informative and also disappearing at time to allow us some time alone. He shared details and history but also the best place to get lunch, the best views for photos and offered to take photos quite often.

We enjoyed taking the train and bus to get to Bellinzona. Patricia shared the detailed history of the castles and area as we toured. A needed bathroom break lead to a little wine tasting and charcuterie by a local shop owner that Patricia is friendly with - he was so very gracious, kind and generous. We took photos as this really was special for us.

Patricia arranged a beautiful lunch at a little place right along the lake. She helped us order traditional Swiss food and wine. Our conversation included discussing a love of family, origins, food, history, geography, and traditions. She guided us to a place to buy a little Ticino book I mentioned I was interested in acquiring. She also presented us with a little Ticino anniversary gift - two small baccolino cups. She recommended we try nocino over gelato. She worked to take some beautiful photos of us. She suggested we take the boat ride back to Lugano instead of the planned reverse bus & train. It was a lovely ride and great suggestion.

Our guide, Elena, is a teacher by career and this showed and enhanced our learning experience as we took a city tour of Lugano with her. She also shared personal spots for gelato, dinner, apertivo as well as taught us how to use the bus system to get back to our hotel.

Loved our tour of Bellagio and Lake Como with a boat tour included to get from place to place. Our guide, Laura, booked a wine tasting and charcuterie at an enoteca she knew well. She's a sommelier and that enhanced our experience as we discussed wines in more detail. She showed us around and explained the culture and history of both Bellagio and Como.

One of our favorite tours, we got to see other towns in Hvar. Our guide Grgo made our tour very special.

Definitely worth the long drive. The lakes and waterfalls are beautiful.

Vera was so knowledgeable, interesting and nice. We really enjoyed learning about Dubrovnik’s old town. She gave us good tips about where to shop and eat. Turns out she actually lives in the Old Town, how cool is this!

We canceled this activity because we were told the wrong day on the daily itinerary. This was also somewhat embarrassing.

This tour was also very good. We had the same guide 2 days in a row, and it was excellent small group. Good wine tasting, I would highly recommend.

This excursion was excellent, and a guide was very good.

The actual trip and the boat was outstanding. However, at the end, the captain thought we owed him 250 euros. This was embarrassing and he had to call your office to clarify. Also, it was very difficult to find the exact location for pick up and if not for the uber drivers, persistence and assistance, we may not have found a sight

This was a good excursion, really fun to see the castle, however, a bit rushed and the second city was not necessary. What have preferred a return after the castle

This hotel was a great location, but too many stairs to get down to your room with luggage. I believe it was 69 steps and there was no one to take our luggage back up in the morning. We did have to pay the porter to come in early at 6 AM so we could make our flight back to Athens. The staff was fantastic.

What a great hotel that has a pool and a wonderful buffet ( at the hotel next-door ) to start your day off. The beach was only about 100 yards away and we were able to go down there and experience swimming in the sea. Pool closed a little early-8pm, but you were able to go to the pool at the hotel next-door.

Great location in downtown Athens. Felt very safe. The elevator to get up to our room on the sixth floor was about as big as a closet. Only three people could fit in there or one person with luggage. Extremely claustrophobic, which caused me to take the stairs up six flights instead of getting into that tiny tiny elevator. The buffet was amazing as an introduction to Greek breakfast cuisine. I was even able to make Greek coffee over hot sand, which was very traditional and memorable. View of the Acropolis in Parthenon was total bonus. I’m giving it 3 stars because of the elevator.

Great guide with great stories. Nice strenuous walk straight up to get to wine tasting. Nice wine snd great snacks. I loved interacting and sharing with other folks. Wonderful view.

Our driver Janis was fantastic and fun. We were very grateful for all of his knowledge and honesty. He picked a great restaurant for us after our guided tour. Loved his stories. Even had cold water for us.

I would have to say that this is a rudimentary class on how to chop vegetables. We thought we were going to be making a more complicated traditional meal. Everything was very, very basic and a little disappointing. We finished making the stuffed green pepper vegetarian meal in about 10 minutes. They do not use meat therefore everything you make is vegetarian according to our guide.

This is not a guided tour. This is you being on your own walking around the city? Not much to review if you don’t get out into the city.
