We just returned from a fabulous holiday to Australia and New Zealand. Vicky our travel specialist and kimkim were extraordinary in accommodating our travel goals and needs. We wanted to make the most of our special holiday and therefore had a very busy trip with lots of different locations, tours, and internal flights, etc. Vicky took our ideas of what we wanted to do and accomplish and turned them into a reality. Throughout our planning and travels, the kimkim site was easy to use and Vicky was very knowledgeable and responsive. Changes in plans and schedule were managed seamlessly. We requested two bedroom three bed apartments and the lodging recommended by Vicky exceeded our expectations. Tour operators were top notch. Everything was perfect and we were glad we had Vicky and kimkim as our travel experts/consultants

This South Africa trip was truly exceptional from start to finish. Every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed with care making the entire experience feel seamless grounded and deeply meaningful for our group.

Working with Stephanie our local expert was a pleasure. Communication was clear timely and supportive throughout the planning process and while on the ground. She anticipated needs handled adjustments smoothly and ensured that every transition felt effortless. It allowed me to focus on the experience itself knowing logistics were fully handled.

Our guides were outstanding across every leg of the journey. They were knowledgeable engaging and deeply connected to the places we visited. Several travelers shared that the guide at Leopard Mountain was a highlight of the entire trip. His storytelling wildlife knowledge humor and presence elevated every game drive and created moments that felt both educational and magical. The broader staff at Leopard Mountain also deserve special recognition. Their warmth attentiveness and professionalism made the stay feel luxurious yet personal.

The accommodations throughout the trip were phenomenal with Leopard Mountain standing out as especially memorable. The rooms were stunning the views were breathtaking and the overall atmosphere felt peaceful and intentional. It was the kind of place where you immediately felt held by the land and the experience.

Transportation throughout the trip was reliable comfortable and well coordinated. Transfers flights and longer drives were handled smoothly which is no small feat with a multi city itinerary. Everything ran on time and without stress which made a huge difference for group travel.

The food was another highlight. Meals were consistently delicious fresh and nourishing. The food at Big Skies in particular stood out for its flavor quality and care. Healthy balanced and thoughtfully prepared it complemented the tone of the trip perfectly.

Overall this was one of the most well organized and impactful trips I have experienced. From the guides and accommodations to transportation meals and local support everything worked together beautifully. It was clear that intention expertise and care went into every aspect of the journey. I would absolutely work with this team again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a deeply enriching travel experience in South Africa.

Gugs Eco Lodge offered a meaningful eco lodge experience rooted in nature community and adventure. The accommodations were simple and functional, consistent with the eco focused nature of the lodge. While the rooms themselves were just okay in terms of comfort and amenities, they served their purpose for a rustic and intentional stay. The food at Gugs was a true highlight. Meals were consistently delicious fresh and nourishing, and our group genuinely looked forward to every meal. The quality and care put into the food stood out and added a lot to the overall experience. Our guide MP was excellent and played a big role in making this portion of the trip memorable. He was knowledgeable engaging and attentive, and the group really enjoyed learning from him throughout our excursions. The lodge manager was also very communicative and responsive, helping ensure things ran smoothly and that we felt supported during our stay. The excursions were a major highlight for our group. We were able to witness turtles laying eggs on the beach at night, which was an incredibly special and moving experience. We also enjoyed snorkeling and a boat ride, both of which were well organized and very well received by the group. These experiences brought the destination to life and were among the most talked about moments of this leg of the trip. Overall, Gugs delivered a strong eco lodge experience with outstanding food, meaningful excursions, and solid on the ground support. It is a great option for travelers who value nature based experiences and unique moments over luxury accommodations.

The location worked well for our Johannesburg itinerary and transfers, and the check in process was smooth and efficient for a group arrival. Rooms were clean spacious and well appointed, providing a restful place to land after international travel. The staff were welcoming and professional, especially helpful with group coordination and early departures. Breakfast service was consistent and convenient, offering a solid variety to start the day. Overall this hotel served as a dependable base that supported the flow of the trip without stress, which is exactly what is needed at the beginning of a multi stop itinerary.

Our visit to Sanctuary Mandela was primarily a dinner experience. It was nice to be in the space, and the food and service were both good. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were attentive, making for an enjoyable evening meal. That said, the experience felt more like a solid dinner stop than a must do activity. While we appreciated having gone and enjoyed the meal, it is not something I would necessarily repeat on a future itinerary. It worked well as a gentle introduction to Johannesburg, but did not stand out as a highlight compared to other experiences on the trip.

She failed to respond multiple times nd the trip was not private as we discussed.

Having done 1 trip with kimkim, we felt certain that our time in Egypt would be well organized. Having a representative meet and guide us through airports was a big plus. Our guides were amazingly knowledgeable about each temple and site and tempered the visit to our level of interest and enthusiasm. Having a driver take us to and from all destinations, somewhow being ready to pick us up at the right meeting spot despite the hundreds of cars, scooters and busses...amazed us. A highlight was dinner with a family in Cairo. Besides excellent fresh food, our host turned out to be a seasoned rower and my husband rowed a quad on the Nile. We thank Nader for all the emails and adjustments because we visited one of the most ancient countries in our world. Fantastic experience.

Shawna did a great job planning. Jesus was our contact in country, he did a wonderful job being responsive to all our needs. Our tour guide Guido in Cusco and the Sacred Valley was knowledge and experienced he went along our family’s wants and needs. A true gem!

We ha a wonderful time in Australia and New-Zeland. Vicky our specialist was wonderful. She helped us planning, she was available to answer our questions/help before and during our trip. We recommand her.

The trip was amazing and George was great to work with. Mint - our guide in Bangkok for the city tour was awesome … we all enjoyed our day with her. Our off road jeep adventure in Khao Lac was a lot of fun and full of laughs! I can not remember the drivers name but he was hilarious as well as our guide - song I think he told us to call him. They both had us laughing all day as well as being full of information. All three of us would return tomorrow and were sad to leave. Thank you for a great adventure especially with a relatively short planning time for high season.
All the accommodations were also very nice and we have no complaints!

1) Kien -- he is based out of Vietnam but was our key contact person throughout the planning phase as well as the trip. He was always attentive to our needs, helped us every step of the way, was polite and understood what we wanted to get out of the trip. I will highly recommend him.

2) The local guides: Mr. Taiwah, Ms. Pookie, Ms. Lisa, Ms. Yun were all very helpful and responsive.

My family and I went to Thailand from the 25th of December until the 6th of January.
Just want to say that Kim Kim organized our luxury trip very well and were always available if we needed any help. My family and I had a fantastic time and Ashley was extremely helpful with the organization as were the local guides like Winni in Bangkok and Dada in Puquet. We found everyone kind, and helpful. I would recommend this group to organize whatever you need with hotels, tours and airline tickets.

Emerson is the best travel agent I could ever have asked for. He truly listened to what we wanted and turned it into the trip of a lifetime. Having just completed our nine day trip in Colombia I can provide some thoughts.
I have to say that I didn’t know really what to expect and what I would see in Colombia given the limited images and news about this country. Narcos and Juan Valdez commercials can only go so far. Colombia and its cities far exceeded our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed each of our guides and those who assisted along the way for days like Bike Tour and Gold Museum in Bogota, to the waterfall and organic farm lunch in Medellin.
I will note for me specifically that this was the single most impactful visit I have ever had to a museum. Seeing the gold artifacts through the eyes of an indigenous people was very moving. The Salt Cathedral also was absolutely stunning in size and scope.
We didn’t just get Instagram worthy pics, we heard perspectives, and listened to new ideas and saw glorious sites. I thank everyone involved in introducing South America and Colombia to me. You are a tough act to follow. I will recommend Kimkim to family and friends (they have already gushed about the pictures) and I suspect and look forward to engaging with you further for future adventures with Kristin.

A visit to Mae Klong Railway market and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market!

We visited the Mae Klong Railway Market and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market on our trip to Thailand. While it was an interesting experience, we felt that the travel time was quite long in comparison to the actual time spent at the market. The markets were unique, but the whole activity felt brief and a bit anticlimactic after such a long journey. I would suggest adding more activities in the proximity to make the travel worth it.

One Day Trek Sanpatong (Mae Win Area)

Our 'One Day Trek Sanpatong (Mae Win Area)' experience started with an unexpected stop at an elephant place which did not meet our expectations as a sanctuary. There were three elephants that appeared sad and confined. We had expected a more ethical experience where we could interact with elephants in a natural environment. The hike that followed felt random and lacked a clear purpose, while the bamboo rafting was fun and well-received by the kids. Overall, the day was mixed, with more disappointments than highlights.

Our visit to the Temple and Hill Tribes in Chiang Mai was confusing and left us puzzled. The journey was long and windy, and once we arrived, there was little explanation from our guide as he did not speak much English. We didn't feel informed about the purpose of our visit or the significance of the tribes. It felt intrusive to walk around with kids who were just playing. The coffee was the highlight, but overall, the trip felt like a waste of time without proper context and information.

Overall, we had an incredible vacation. Jimena and Jesus were not only very attentive to all of our needs, but incredibly proactive ... both anticipating problems and immediately responding to any queiry that I had.

All of the guides were all very good, but Wily (in the Sacred Valley) was exceptional. He not only was knowledgeable but had a very comfortable personality the melded well with us.

We asked to make our trip a culinary experience and Jimena did not disappoint us. The food offered along our 9-day tour was exceptional.

The one "other" with using Kimkim is that detailed pricing information is not available. That said, Kimkim offers not just a number of different tour events piecemealed together but rather a thoughtfully planned vacation with interwoven events tied together with both theme and a support team from A to Z.

The guides, drivers, and everyone in the hotels were fantastic. All of the planned activities were a hit, and we got to experience being in some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. We all loved the gardens and our time in the mountains. The people who came up with our itinerary really know their stuff. I’d one hundred percent recommend your company and would absolutely use it again.

The only problem we had was a terrible ferry service from Spain to Tangiers. The ferry was dangerous, disorganized, and late, and the people who worked on it seemed to have no idea what they were doing and were rude when called out on safety issues. There is no order or crowd control, and I wouldn’t recommend it, or I would warn people if they wanted to use it to be especially careful if they were traveling with older people or small children. There were a couple of times in the ferry and while boarding the ferry that I was worried someone would be crushed to death. It’s that bad. It’s also unreliable, so when we finally got to Tangiers, we had almost no time there, which was a shame because our guide and driver were truly excellent and professional and would have been a delight to spend more time with.

The trip was great overall and everything was very easy to execute thanks to the set up of the Kim Kim team. The WiFi in the car made everything go so smoothly. The only down side was that many of the parking lots that were marked as no fee, now charge and the kiosks are very hidden so it was not always obvious. You have to know to look for them. We also could never get the gas pumps to work on a credit card (kept asking for a PIN) so we switched to a debit and then things were fine.

The lava cave was an amazing experience and our guide was great. The ice cave didn't discuss the 15 minute hike to the cave in very cold windy conditions in any of the brochures. We could have been more prepared for that.

Nora was great and we took most of her recommendations including going to Perlan for New Years Eve fireworks viewing. It was one of the highlights of the trip! Things were extra special as our daughter got engaged on the Black San Beach in the beautiful Iceland sunset!

We enjoyed this hotel very much. We saw the Northern Lights from our back patio. The staff was very welcoming and made sure we were aware the Northern Lights could be viewed. When we did not make reservations for dinner, they still managed to get us in. The only draw back was the coffee machine at breakfast was broken and there was no back up. We just drank tea instead. Not a deal breaker.

Very far from anything so you pretty much have to eat at their restaurant. But it the middle of nowhere is what made it perfect for the aurora.

The rooms were tiny with few amenities. The breakfast was the least impressive of the whole trip. The staff was minimally helpful and there were constantly dirty dishes and glasses all over the lobby. The location was good and it had it's own parking which made it convenient.

This hotel was very nice and the included breakfast was the best that we had on the trip. The hot tub area was very inviting but it was not clear if it was included with the room or not. It seems to me that it should be included but that was not clear.

Breiðamerkurjökull Ice Cave Experience

This was lovely once you got to the cave. There was a 15 minute hike across the glacier in the wind which was brutal and we had no idea about until we were already there. It was alot of work for a cave that was too crowded with other people.

This was a lovely hot spring away from the main fray of tourism. We went there immediately from the airport but were a bit tired after the trip and may have enjoyed it more had we done it later.

Perlan Museum

Excellent museum. Should plan to spend at least a half a day here to learn about the land of Fire and Ice.
