The struggle is real!! I really want to give a 5 star review and would have preferred the choice of 4.5 or 4.75 stars because although we had a rather upsetting start - the issue was addressed without so much of a heartbeat and we ended up being very pleased with the service we received. I found Ariana to be intuitive to what we were looking for in our trip. We had to make only a few revisions to the initial booking because she listened to us; and generally knew what questions to ask. She was a pleasure to work with.

We had two problems in the actual trip - one at the beginning and one at the end. We are in our mid-70’s and requested that there be no hotels without luggage service because it was difficult for us to handle. We had arranged for private transfers and drivers to help with that problem. There was a issue with the initial transfer from the train station but after they were made aware of our stated expectations the CEO stepped in and took care of the problem.

The second issue they are likely not aware of because it happened the last night of our trip. The hotel they booked us in at Lake Como (Alberto Terminus) had live “music” the night before we flew out of Milan. It went on until 11:30pm and it was directly below our room . The hotel was extremely rude when we attempted to address the issue with them. There was nothing they were willing to do to make our last night comfortable. They even told us that there was no management on site to address our complaint that we were never told that they have live music EVERY Thursday and Sunday night. We would have chosen another hotel. I’m doubtful that Story Walking Tours knows of this - but hopefully they will address it going forward. I don’t blame them for it - and I only mention it so that they can take it into consideration when booking other guests. All in all - we are grateful for our experience with StoryWalking and are thinking of using them for our next vacation if they work the area.

The atmosphere was wonderful but what they forgot to mention was that they have LIVE MUSIC EVERY THURSDAY AND SUNDAY EVENINGS, DIRECTLY BELOW OUR ROOM. The room we booked was one of their best rooms until you find out that if you need to get rest on a Thursday or Sunday night - it will be almost midnight before that occurs. The staff was rude, not at all concerned with our comfort and totally unwilling to do anything about the inconvenience that we suffered. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. It really is a shame because the food at their restaurant was exceptional and the atmosphere was great - the bed was rock hard and the “music” unbearable! The staff at night should be fired.

My husband gave Noga an idea of what we like to do on vacation and the level/length of hikes we enjoy. Noga gave us terrific suggestions. The hikes were stunning and got us away from the tour bus crowds. We also enjoyed the accommodations KimKim booked for us.

We chose Kim Kim because the initial questionnaire was an excellent way to describe our wants. Kateryna then took that information to present a very good initial plan. She worked with us to modify the plan to our final liking. She was top notch all the way, i cannot applaud her enough.

When we arrived at LHR our driver was not there to pick us up. Thinking “oh no”, i began to try to and find out what to do next when i received a text that a replacement driver was on his. What started out as a negative turned into a positive because your team was on top of the situation. Bravo!

I am going to send Kate more info about specific experiences, but it is worth noting that our black cab guides Jack and John were wonderful as was Delianne for our walking tour. Also, the Restaurant 1890 dinner was an unforgettable experience. Wimbledon was an extraordinary tour and experience! And, we really enjoyed the (long) day in Cotswold.

We didn’t get much out of the Tower of London tour - the line to see the Crown Jewels was so long it was essentially prohibitive for me because of my walking/standing limitations. If i had it to do again, i would skip the Stonehenge/Windsor Castle/Bath tour. Stonehenge wasn’t worth the trip in a crowded bus. We had way too little time at Windsor Castle. And while Bath was a nice city, again I’m not sure worth the trip. Having it to do over i would skip Stonehenge (pictures and write ups cover it nicely) and Bath and i would take a train to Windsor Castle and spend much more time there. I have seen Phantom twice in NYC and once in Toronto and. while enjoyable, i felt the London production was somewhat scaled back from those shows.

She should have adjusted her plan and improvise to add another element to the tour since she is a tour guide knowledgeable in the area. The cork tour itself is not enough for a tour you should add a winery tour to make it worth it.

What is the point of going to the Douro Valley if you don’t visit a winery and the local wine? In the end our driver found a solution and we got to visit a winery but the agency dropped the ball.

Peneda-Gerês National Park Experience: Easy Hike & Cultural Experience

We were expecting to hike for at least 2-3 hours but the hiking was quite shorter than expected and others in the group were also surprised. The drive to get to the park was almost 2 hours each way and the van was extremely uncomfortable with too many people which means that we have to change seats along the way so people would take turn sitting at the back of the car. This is not acceptable for a 4 hour ride on the highway.

all but one of the guides were excellent, with the best guide in Malaga and the weakest in Granada
only issue was car service at Madrid airport and inability to contact driver

The trip was well planned and the Riad’s were fabulous. Way better than big international hotels and the people therewere so lovely. Our driver , Soufiane, is an excellent driver and handled the horrible roads and long days admirably.
Zara our guide in Fez, was terrific, we really enjoyed our day with her.
Glamping in the Sahara was a standout part of the trip, but after a 9 hr drive from Fez, we were put onto the camels and sent off without any break or instructions from the camel handlers.
Marrakesh Medina is easy to navigate , even though it’s completely crazy, so would have preferred the guide to be with us for a tour of marrakesh , rather than the Medina. It was a short half day tour, and we had to plan a quick drive around marrakesh ourselves, on the way to the airport, otherwise we wouldn’t have seen any of it outside the Medina.

Trip of a lifetime and fantastic support from both Elisa and Lorenzo

We had an amazing trip to Brazil thanks to the KIMKIM. I worked with Federico to arrange all airport pickups and drop offs as well as guided tours for Rio, Iguazu Falls and Manaus. Our airport pickups and drop offs were timely, pleasant and all drivers helped with the luggage. All guides were excellent, spoke perfect English and were very knowledgeable on the surroundings, flora and fauna. Jacqueline was our guide in Rio. We had 1/2 day booked for our first day, then a full day tour for our second day. Jacqueline arrived on the first day and informed us that the weather was going to be bad the following so we should see Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf on our first day so that we could get good photos. She spent extra time with us Day 1 so that we could see the iconic city sights in the best light/weather. We really appreciated this. Also, she took us through the priority lines (age related) at Sugarloaf so we did not have to spend extra time in line.
On to Iguazu Falls and the amazing Jessica was our guide there. She was at the airport to greet us when we arrived, and she provided the most amazing service. Jessica was so informative on all the flora and fauna of Iguazu and also on the history of Brazil. It was such a pleasure to spend time with her. She escorted us to the Brazilian side of the falls on day 1 and to the Argentinian side on day 2. Everything went smoothly without a hitch. Jessica was such an excellent guide, she far exceeded our expectations.
On to Manaus and we had Edvaldo for our boat trip on the Amazon. Edvaldo was a great guide, he spoke perfect Engligh and was informative and entertaining. We could not have asked for a better experience.

The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that we didnt get to our first destination until 3:30 am and the sleeper bus ride was not pleasant. Also there were no vacancies when we arrived at Ha Giang homestay and had to be taken to a hotel, but the hotel was very nice. Other than that, the trip was very nice.
I especially enjoyed the 2-1/2 day motorbike tour including homestay.s Our motorbike drivers , Ben and (Tangh?) were very friendly and accommodating. They were fun guys and added a lot of fun to the trip.
The Ha Long Bay overnight cruise was enjoyable. Although I didnt participate in the activities, I found it very relaxing.
Last but not least, our day tour of Hanoi including Ho Chi Minh mausoleum was very interesting. Our guide Phong Nguyen gave much detail explanation to what we seeing. Very educational.
So, I would give it 5 star review but consider the problematic logistics early on.

turtle experience was great. Mario offered exceptional assistance to our safe viewing of the nesting. one canal viewing would have been enough (we opted for early morning and later tours same day). definitely the waterfall excursion was way out of our ability or

interest and walk through the second park was hot and offered nothing new. the chocolate expeience also was very hot but the Indiginous presenters were very kind. The great travel distance between activities was also taxing. I wish activities could have been more localized, but I understand that is how the geography presents. THe accomodations at the coffee plantation were exceptional.

Bessi, our guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the area, a native icelander, kept us intrigued with history and stories about certain places.

Croatia, a trip of a lifetime! With less than two months to plan this trip, Sarah was fantastic! The accommodations, private tours, tranfers via taxi or ferry were all great! If there ever was a question while traveling, Sarah or Ivan were available 24 /7 to address it. As two women traveling alone in a foreign country, it was so nice to be able to contact someone with any questions. We truly enjoyed our time in Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik, especially our bike tour in the mountains south of Dubrovnik with our guide, Adrian. Adrian went out of his way to show us true Croatian hospitality. Croatia is truly a beautiful country and so are its people! Thanks Sarah for such a wonderful trip!

Can’t say enough about Adrian and this biking tour! ! . It was so nice to get out of the city for the day and experience the small towns of Croatia. Enjoyed the spectacular scenery, the lunch on the river , talking to the winemakers at the winery, and getting to know Adrian and his family. By the end of the day, Adrian was more than a tourguide, he was our new friend!

This was our first time traveling with KimKim, and everything was absolutely perfect. It was such a pleasure working with Siena and Greg—they were amazing and answered all my questions along the way. Siena even went the extra mile and created a video for me, which was so helpful with my busy schedule, to walk through the itinerary and set expectations for our trip to Australia.

Everything went exactly as planned. We did have one small issue with a missed pickup, which required us to take a taxi for a long ride from the airport to our hotel. But when we reached out to KimKim, they immediately refunded the fare without any hassle. Their attention to detail and the level of customer support provided while we were traveling were absolutely incredible.

We loved our entire trip! Our specialist, Eleanor listened to what we were looking for in our trip, and arranged it for us. We loved seeing the usual tourist centers of Tokyo and Kyoto, but really loved the less touristed areas, especially the mountain towns of Tsumago and Narai. The lodgings were great, and the pace was suited to the way we like to travel. Eleanor also provided us with detailed instructions on how to get around, and suggestions of sights to see, since we were traveling independently.

Norway is an exquisitely beautiful country. The fjords, mountains, and other scenery were breathtaking. We had two weeks immersed in cruising the fjords with wonderful guides, self-guided hiking up to the ridges for breathtaking views, biking in a small town, and kayaking in the Norwegian Ocean. It was a nice balance of different activities.

The overall planning and pre-booking with detailed itinerary was excellent. This upfront planning let us relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery without having to navigate logistics. Hotels were nice and centrally located for walking convenience to activities. The days were fairly scheduled with activities but opportunities to have free time to explore.

Highly recommend KimKim to plan your next adventure.
