I stayed at Posada de Don Rodrigo Panajachel while visiting Lake Atitlán. The hotel's location next to what seemed like a farm with poultry and industrial noise made it quite noisy, as we had to leave the windows open to keep the room cool. Customer service was not as good as at other places we stayed at, which was a bit disappointing.

I stayed at Hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo during my trip to Guatemala, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel itself was charming, fitting beautifully with the Colonial feel of Antigua. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the views of the Volcanoes added a lovely backdrop. The food at the hotel was great, and overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

Taking a boat tour to the villages around Lake Atitlán was an interesting experience. Each village had its own unique charm, such as the chocolate and coffee villages. While we didn't find every stop compelling, it was a great way to see different parts of the lake and appreciate its cultural diversity. Expect a bumpy ride!

Kayaking in Lake Atitlán was one of the highlights of my trip. The lake's beauty is unparalleled, and paddling through its serene waters offered both relaxation and stunning views. It was a very enjoyable experience and a perfect way to spend a day at Lake Atitlán.

The best thing about this hotel was it's location next to Stone Town. The breakfast was pretty good with a nice selection of choices. The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked and the room was not as nice as I expected compared to what was shown on their website. Our room was on the first floor, by the pool, so perhaps rooms on the upper floor were nicer. My husband had a fish dish that made him ill.

After you turn off the highway, you drive along a dirt road for at least a mile before turning down a side road and ending up in paradise! The cottages are spacious with views over the coffee plantation and grounds. When we arrived, we were greeted with a variety of drinks to try as well as small snacks. The bed was extra king sized and very comfortable. The room was large with a fireplace and separate seating area. There was also seating on the outside deck where you could enjoy a relaxing evening soaking up the atmosphere! The large bathroom had a footed tub as well as a walk-in shower and separate toilet space. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive! For their turn-down service, they will include a hot water bottle to warm your bed on chilly nights!

We spent two nights in this unique location in Tanzania. Each tented lodge overlooks the Serengeti National Park and the abundance of wildlife that is displayed before your lodge is amazing! The room was large and the bed comfortable. The food was delicious. For the days we were on a game drive, they had lunch boxes available for you to pick out food you'd like to take on your drive for the missed meal.

We had a VIP tent with our own lounge access and hostess, Caroline (Chela) to make sure we were well taken care of. Our tent was located on the edge of the property, with the game reserve right outside our door. The Masai who were employed at the game camp one evening performed the jumping dance and explained the significance - how cool was that!! The food was delicious with many choices.

This location had cute cottages with space on the front stoop to sit and watch the sunset. Quiet and relaxing! The food was delicious and they offered vegetarian options as well as meat choices. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, especially those in the restaurant.

We stayed in this hotel when we first arrived in Nairobi. The room was large and included a small kitchen space. The bed was fairly comfortable and the bathroom had a nice walk-in shower with plenty of hot water and water pressure. The buffet breakfast was ok - this was our first introduction to Kenyan pastry/food, and it fell far short of our expectation. I don't recall they had yogurt or much in the way of sliced cheese and meats the first morning - I believe they added some the second morning of our stay. They did have someone cooking eggs to order. The noise level during the night from outside casino/bars was outrageous. We were on the 11th floor but it was still so loud, ear plugs/white noise machine didn't help. The loud music/DJ went from roughly 9:00 pm until 5:00 AM the next day and was repeated Sat and Sun nights. The hotel front desk said this only happened on the weekend, and they had asked the casino to lower the noise level but they were ignored. The hotel had a fairly decent restaurant where we ate dinner.

Nice tour where you explore the alleyways of Stone town. You really can't experience this area without a guide navigating the different narrow streets.

We had our closest encounters with zebra and elephants here.

This experience gave us a chance to get to meet and see the people in that part of Lake Manyara.

Another outstanding game drive in Tanzania!

Another amazing game drive - each one is worth going on!

We met our Tanzania driver and guide at the air strip and were quickly on our way to seeing the wildlife on the Serengeti!

During this drive, we've now moved into the more plains part of Kenya and an opportunity to see even more wildlife!!

Early morning full day game drive was great! Yes it's a long day, but the resort packs breakfast and lunch for you as you're going quite a distance from your lodging. This was such a fun day looking and finding wildlife!!

We were the only two passengers for this tour. It's pretty amazing as this tour company is the only ones allowed on Lake Nakuru. We had a smooth cruise from one side of the lake to the other, with a delicious lunch provided. When we reached the other side we switched to a small boat so we could get closer to where the pelicans and flamingoes were.

This was really an afternoon game drive as the park doesn't allow vehicles after 6:00 pm. That being said, this was a great drive to see wildlife that was closer to our resort.

This was really a 20 min stop max and was on the way back to our hotel so why not stop.

This was our first introduction to the wildlife we'd be seeing in Kenya! Nairobi National Park is much smaller than the other parks in Kenya, so there is a greater opportunity to see wildlife up close.

Since we arrived late in the evening, this "experience" didn't pertain to us.

State rooms are incredibly tight. Staff incredibly friendly and accomodating. Good food.

I'm giving this a four star only because I know we came in on the eve of the New Year. We did not like the location. The lobby rugs were not vacuumed well. The rooms were spit shine clean. The bar restaurant was fun but touted a view of the city. There was not. I would not stay here again and it would receive a 3 star review in a different season.

We liked this hotel. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast and good dinner, although the dining room is a bit institutional. Location excellent for connection with Tuk Tuk taxi and our guide for the day. Four star only because I likely would not choose it if I wanted to walk anywhere in the evenings.

Oh my goodness! What a luxurious escape this was. We did nothing for our three nights here besides sit by the pool and eat a the variety of restaurants they have in the resort. The only restaurant that was a big disappointment in menu and service was the one they tout a lot which is close to the ocean and has an ocean view. Seafood options for a seafood menu were minimal. We were told no reservations were required. They clearly were. Waiters were a bit harried and unfriendly, which was very unusual for this resort.

Loved this hotel. The only thing I have to say is that it's perhaps a bit out of the city to afford walkability. The restaurant needs updating and brightening, but the food and service was very good. There is construction noise across the river which of course is loud if you are trying to relax by the pool. But, it was a favored on this trip. Employees were so nice.

We really appreciated the location of this hotel. Very Clean. We do prefer a room with a dedicated shower over a tub as we never use tubs in hotels. The staff really did not have a person who spoke English well which made it a little difficult to communicate needs for restaurants, taxi service, massage places, etc. They were all very friendly. Excellent included breakfast.

WOW !!! Very beautiful view and the place looks incredible. lots of amenuities and very very comfy. i really did enjoy my stay there. I would highly recommand.

AMAZING VIEW from that place but not necesseraly from your room. Very nice place with the hotel and the view from outside is outstanding. But, my room, would have need some love. Floor was broken. At that price, you expect it to be perfect. I've seen some 3 stars hotel better than that. But, once again, the view cannot be beat but at the end...it end up being expensive.

Nice place but missing ascensor . Honestly these guys bringing the luggage through the stairs are doing an amazing work. Rooms are ok. Clean, comfy but with no extra. Good place to sleep. Very quiet and calm. Nice location close to lots of restaurants and store.

Interesting. You go to a very nice view place. VERY WINDY !!! Get dress warm as it may get cold and i say that being from canada !!! You can get nice pics but we did not get to see any condor. I end up being alone on the tour. That was interesting but to me which is not a huge crazy fan of horse riding it end up being a bit too long.

I got lucky and we saw a lot. To me that was incredible. Small boat , they provide dressing , little snack. Focus point was incredible for me. See these dolphins .

Lots of road to get there and not anything interesting while travelling. But, on my own opinion, it is worth it if you really want to get that chance to see them. I truly enjoyed the experience that was for me a once of a lifetime experience.

was expecting to see something more than the moon. we saw saturn and a dead star. Not bad, but not as much as i was expecting.

INCREDIBLE !!!! That was the focus point of my trip and i got lucky to see some. To me that was paradise on earth.

You get some nice viewing spot of the volcan Osorno. Not bad in fact just not of my own taste. You can get some nice picture on that tour.

I guess some people may like that kind of tour. personnaly, its not my interest. The tour is ok but i could have go without doing it to be honest. Lots of road and lots of nstops to artesanal places and churches. To me its not something i appreaciate but some other might i guess.

This hotel delivers a great, calming vibe right in the heart of the city. Walking or short tuk tuk to everywhere you might want to go.

The snorkeling experience is quite disappointing. In fact -- I would suggest you stop selling this as a snorkelling experience, - there are very few fish to see. Only small fish and some nice coral. I think this area is over fished by the locals. [ See all the fishing boats at night! ] The island is kind of over touristed , - too many tourists, for the size of the beach. Kind of a hectic wave of tourists getting off boats and sharing a very tiny beach.

This was my favorite day and activity. Riding bikes got us closer to the people and daily lifestyles. Was great that it was not very crowded with tourists.

OUr guide needed a audio device and the guests headphones to effectively tour this crowded sight. This was not provided. He did not bring any extra insights and expected us to simply read all the panels, etc. No editorial was offered!

Gorgeous hotel but to me it lacked the character of smaller hotels in Marrakesh.

One of my favorite hotels. You do have to pay for parking, but we walked everywhere. Close to the museum, wharf( where everyone gathers and hangs out). Easily walk to restaurants and shops.

Very small boutique hotel. The room was spacious and lovely. We slept like logs in the amazing soft bed. The restaurant is great. Most of the staff were amazing.

In the heart of Rotorua. A great place to relax after a hike. The place has a coin operated laundry as well. Essential for the minimalist traveler. Absolutely loved the heated tile floor in the bathroom! Crisp white sheets, heavy cotton towels, and a kitchenette. We could stay for a week.

Like being in a European lodge. Comfy, quiet, luxurious room

The room was modern, the sheets crisp, white, and smooth. The bath accommodations were lovely. You can walk right out the door and get to shopping, ferries, or restaurants easily.

The accommodations were very nice. We ate in the restaurant and got coffee from the barista every morning. The location in the heart of the city made it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and the ferry. A great place to retire every night.

Spectacular views of gannet colonies. I was amazed.

I had no idea what to expect. Our guide, Stephen was so knowledgeable and took care with guiding us in the dark. He took all the pictures and sent them to us the next day. Such an awesome experience in the wilds of New Zealand.

This facility was a great place to learn about Aotearoa and its peoples. The luncheon was good.

We enjoyed the tour and performance. The dinner was so good and we met some great travelers from around the world d the world. Learning about Maori customs made my trip more memorable.

Driver was on time, friendly, and got us to where we needed to be.

Our guide and driver, Donna was a friendly knowledgeable Māori woman. We enjoyed her talks and the places she took us to. We still say the coffee shop and chocolate shop she stopped at in Devenport was the best!

Bfast was amazing. Prob the best we had in Vietnam. Beds comfortable and very spacious rooms.

Car was very uncomfortable. Felt like a pickup truck. We had other limo vans that were very comfortable in VN, just not this one. Driver was rough. Lots of sudden stops

This Riad was a great place. Breakfast was lavish. But it was the nice staff that really made the stay memorable. Highly recommend.

An experience of a lifetime! Reached it by camel ride. Watched the stars come out over the desert. Top-notch food.

My tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable both of the region and of the country. His kindness really made the trip for me.

Poorly maintained, mosquitos in the common area with open windows, hot water stopped at night, far away from the town, etc.

Staying at this resort was a nice way to end out trip. We enjoyed the beach, the pool, the bar (happy hour!) and the restaurant. We were able to walk down the beach one night to a local restaurant where we heard live music during our dinner. The monkeys playing in the trees around the pool was a nice touch! The included breakfast was great, food was tasty and service great.

This 4-star resort was spectacular! Our cabin was absolutely beautiful. It was big and spacious with a private deck and outdoor shower! We greatly enjoyed brewing coffee and enjoying it on the patio each morning. Patio is covered so let it rain! The resort grounds are so nice, with paths and walking trails! We took hikes on the well-marked resort trails from our room down to the blue river and through the rain forest. Around the hotel were all kinds of birds and animals, we spotted Coatis and even an Agouti, so cool. We greatly enjoyed the beautiful pool and we hung out some at the swim up bar. The restaurant was terrific and the service staff were superb throughout! Our only caveat with this resort is that if you don't have a rental car, it's not easy to leave it to explore the surrounding area on your own (no Ubers or taxi's are around we were told). Of course we got picked up twice for our tour/hikes.

This resort is pretty. We had our own cabin which was very quiet and nice overall. We greatly enjoyed the hot springs, grounds, pool, and pool bar. We liked the fact that we could eat by the pool after visiting the hot springs instead of having to go to the restaurant. The included breakfast was fantastic, lots of options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We note that the cabin we had could use a little TLC, especially the bathroom. Also, the resort did have a water issue the 2nd night and we were without water for several hours.

We had a lovely time riding the 40 foot sailboat, with drinks on the way to snorkeling (lots of cool fish to see), and snacks and drinks on the way back. The crew was terrific and attentive, the views from the boat were superb.

We enjoyed the beach, the pool, the bar (Happy Hour!) and the restaurant. We were able to walk down the beach one night to a local restaurant where we had live music to our dinner. The monkeys playing in the trees around the pool was a nice touch!

This hike was conducted by Oscar who was a nice guy, very knowledgeable (told us so many facts about the area and blue river) and guided us well. We saw snakes, then the blue river, the spectacular waterfall, and then the joining of the two rivers that cause the water to be blue. Oscar explained everything in great detail. On our hike back out of the park, we had a Tapir sighting!

This hike/walk is right through the rain forest at night, some of the footing was slippery and muddy, but the boots and headlamps they provided were a great help. We saw lots of frogs, snakes, spiders, and birds. Then our guide Anthony got word that there was a Tapir nearby so we hightailed it to go see it. That was fabulous! The funny thing was, on the way back to the Hideaway we also saw a Tapir on the side of the road, which our driver slowed for us to view.

We loved our guide Roy, he was so nice and shared his amazing knowledge and took his time to tell us all about the Volcanic area, animals, plants, and interesting things. The hike was a highlight of our time in Arenal and we greatly enjoyed it. It was a beautiful day and the views we encountered were amazing.

Such a fun experience! Pierre was the best sommelier for us. He was kind, informative, and fun! We had great conversation and learned so much. We were with just one other couple so our experience was intimate - delightful!

The Mackay Coral Cay Great Barrier Reef Sail & Snorkel was the highlight of my trip. The catamaran took us out into the Barrier Reef for a full day of snorkeling. The coral was stunning, and the water was warm. The wet suits provided kept us safe from jellyfish. It was an incredible experience to be out at sea and see such beautiful marine life up close.

The Southern Daintree Tour and Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas were delightful, especially getting to interact closely with kangaroos, which was a dream come true for me. We also saw a koala, although it was a bit hidden in the trees. The tour felt a little packed as we also did a river cruise for crocodile spotting, which we felt we could have traded for more time in the rainforest. Still, the rainforest landscapes and the wildlife habitat were absolutely beautiful.

The Mount Conner 4WD Small Group Tour was superb. It was fascinating to visit such a vast cattle ranch. We experienced a rare sight of the desert being lush and green thanks to recent rain, which we were told is a once in a lifetime event. Dinner with the local family managing the farm added to the authenticity and warmth of the experience. Seeing the salt lake and learning about the local environment was truly extraordinary.

The Uluru Sacred Site & Sunset was wonderful. We got to see both the sunset and the sunrise, with champagne in the evening and breakfast in the morning, which was such a fun experience. Our guide was excellent, and we really enjoyed the activities despite the flies, which were quite something, but not detrimental to our enjoyment.

The Panoramic Sydney with Lunch cruise was a bit disappointing. We felt quite rushed during the bus tour part, and my daughter even got motion sickness from the winding roads. There just wasn't enough time at stops, like Bondi Beach, to fully enjoy the sights and shops. We ended up skipping the lunch cruise and explored Sydney on our own, shopping and enjoying the markets, which turned out to be a much better experience.

Took the Tallink ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn. Stassi was a fun tour guide - she gave us great tour of Olde Town and was very informative of Estonian history and culture!

We spent a lovely morning walking in the snowy forest with Taru! Perfect way to see the area!

Despite a cloudy night with low percentage of seeing the Northern Lights, Jan found us some and they were magical! It was unforgettable experience!

Despite a rainy morning for the tour, Jola was fun and shared so much about Helsinki and the Finnish culture.

This hotel offers a more modern vibe, despite its location practically in the heart of Old Town. The exterior retains the historic look of 100-200 year old architecture, but the inside is generally done in a well-appointed and modern look. The rooms took a bit of getting used to, as they are organized a little differently from other hotels, but the design actually works extremely well. The rooms are all white, which seemed a bit sterile in appearance, but that didn't ruin what was otherwise a very comfortable room. The staff was superb, and extremely friendly, professional, and responsive to guest needs.

This hotel was the highlight of our accommodations in Scotland. Initially we were in a smaller room toward the back of the property, but as fortune would have it, we were able to move to one of the largest rooms in the front, with spectacular views. The staff here is simply amazing; very personal, attentive, and capable. We didn't want to leave this hotel.

This is a gorgeous property in a very scenic setting. The staff are simply marvelous and were above and beyond any expectations.

We liked this hotel quite a lot. It was in a good location to walk around the center of Edinburgh. It's a short walk to the train station, for those that use the railways. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they take excellent care of guests and the facility itself. We were also very grateful for the wonderful morning breakfast.

The Old Town private tour by Stuart was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable and expertly guided us through the area to be sure we saw little details we never would have experienced on our own. Stuart was very personable and his commentaries ensured we learned so much more about this historic part of Edinburgh.

Our guide David did a wonderful job walking us through the small town and taking us to a few sites of special interest. We enjoyed learning more about this little port town. Overall, Oban was the highlight of our trip to Scotland due to the peaceful environment. We were told it's extremely busy and crowded in the summer however, so that might be a planning consideration.

This site is wonderful, and our tour guide Rafal was amazing. He picked us up and drove us to the site, and then walked us through all the important sights, with tremendously good commentaries on it all. 5+ stars. He also took us to a couple spots along the way that weren't originally planned. The Rosslyn chapel and castle is a wonderful bit of history, and with the amusing connection to the movie the DaVinci Code.

The Edinburgh castle is a wonderful historic site. Unfortunately, we did this tour almost immediately after we arrived in Scotland, and we were very tired from traveling. We probably didn't get as much out of the visit as we could have. Because of a flight delay we didn't arrive in time for our scheduled Old Town private tour; however, we made it up later in our trip (and it is reviewed separately).

A wonderful overview of the history of the city and the ability to learn the area as we walked around.

Included a tour of the market as well as cooking main Spainish dishes. It included a large meal!

The SnowHotel & Ice Dinner Experience was not what I expected. While the hotel itself was fascinating, the meal did not feel special. The food was mediocre, and even one of the drivers mentioned the same about the chef. Offering something like a drink, appetizer, or dessert might be a better option than dinner if improvement can't be made.

The Amethyst Mine Tour with the Pendolino - Snow Train was not the most impressive activity for us. Despite this, the journey was made worthwhile by the stunning scenery at the top of the mountain, and our driver was fantastic, going out of his way to ensure our comfort. The snow train was less significant compared to the beautiful views and history of the area.

The Family Husky Safari was such an amazing experience, even though it had some hiccups. I handled the huskies myself, and it was quite an adventure. Weather conditions made it a bit challenging as the bus got delayed, and we were rushed through dressing and briefing, but overall, it was great. There was a little disorganization due to delays, which affected the experience slightly. I'd recommend considering private transport for a smoother experience.

The Reindeer Herder Day Experience was absolutely lovely. The homemade reindeer soup was wonderful. The private tour was well worth it and I highly recommend it. The interaction with the reindeer and the kindness of the people made for a memorable day.
