Jimena was wonderful! She listened to and understood what was most important to us, and she planned a great trip that met our wishes and preferences. When we needed to make a big, last minute adjustment, she handled it professionally and promptly, making it very easy for us to replan. Jimena was also very responsive throughout the process, answering my many questions. Once we arrived, everything went smoothly and according to plan! I also appreciated having Jimena and Jesus available to answer questions as they came up.

We had outstanding guides for each city we went to; they were extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of their respective cities and regions - some of the best guides we have ever had on a trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of places we went, from the green mountains and blue buildings of Chefchaouen, to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the markets of Fez and Meknes, the desert in the South and ocean city of Essaouira, the remoteness and ruggedness of the High Atlas of Imlil, and of course the dynamic Marrakesh, just to name a few. We thoroughly enjoyed the Riyads that were selected by KimKim, and would love to go back and spend more time at tome of them. Even in Imlil, while the lodge was rustic, it had a certain charm. Hakim at KimKim was very attentive when a few issues came up, and they were quickly resolved to our satisfaction. My utmost praise for Khalid who was our driver. As we spent a fair amount of time in the van it is important to have a great relationship with your driver, and Khalid did not disappoint. He gave insightful comments about the towns and regions we were traveling through, and provided meaningful observations about the local people and their cultures, and answered all our questions. The tour would not have been as successful without him at the wheel. Some of fondest memories are driving through the almost deserted roads of Morocco, admiring the beautiful and ever-changing landscape, listening to the Moroccan singer Oum, Steely Dan, The Beach Boys, etc. - simply enchanting.

All of the hotels and riyads we stayed at were great (with the exception of Eden Roc in Oualidia) and each was unique in their own respect, so I would love to give all of them high marks, but since we started in Rabat I would say the Euphoriad set the tone for the whole trip. The room we had was wonderfully furnished and with mirrors all around - understandable considering it is named after the Daffodil flower - Narjis in Morocco. Everything was very comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the bathrobe as it had a hood, just like on the djellaba; first time I have ever seen a bathrobe like that and I wanted to take it home! The hotel was a riyad with the center open area, and beautiful tilework and artwork throughout. The dining area was very nice and the included breakfast was great, and small enough that you could share stories with your fellow travelers. It is also very well situated and is a riyad and Rabat a city I would like to visit again.

The Dinner with Live Fado Music was an interesting experience. The place and the music were great, capturing the essence of Fado well, but the food didn't really meet expectations. However, we weren't expecting gourmet cuisine, so it was more about the experience overall, which was enjoyable.

I travelled to Iceland with my 18-year old son and we both had an amazing trip. The service from Hanna was exceptional. Every aspect of our trip was well planned, catered to our requirements and needs and followed a detailed discussion. Hanna suggested a couple of experiences we haven’t heard about before. And, she remained responsive even after everything was agreed and paid for and stayed in touch while we were in Iceland.
Definitely a Mum and Son trip to remember.

This was an amazing trip that was well organized. From the pick up at the airport to the food tour in Barranco to the dune buggy rides to the walking tour in Cusco and visiting all of the sites at the sacred Valley, as well as Machu Picchu it was a memorable an amazing trip that left me in love with Peru Willi our guide in couscous was amazing. He was very patient and took the time to explain every important detail to us. The walking food tour with Andrea was also awesome in our ride to Huacachina with Alavore was one of the best experiences ever.

I recently returned from a trip to Colombia organized by Michael, and I truly cannot find the words to encapsulate how wonderful the experience was and how grateful I am to the kimkim team and all of the guides they coordinated with to make this trip so meaningful and memorable. They were able to get my friend and I connected with staff from Tayrona Birding for a tour of Tayrona National Park, and each of the staff we interacted with were kind, professional, knowledgable, and warm. The lodging at the Senda Koguiwa hotel in Santa Marta was also so wonderful. The food was phenomenal, the grounds were beautiful, and the staff was so kind. I truly hope this review helps encourage anyone who is on the fence about booking with kimkim to move forward with it. I am already looking forward to booking future experiences with kimkim!

Comfortable, on-time, and felt safe the entirety of the nearly 3-hour long transfer from Barranquilla to Santa Marta.

We loved our trip to Norway - Oslo, Flam, Bergen, Alesund, and then our add on to the Lofoten Islands. Alex did a great job laying out an itinerary that took into account all the things we wanted to see. He provided alternative suggestions when my ideas weren't the most practical and was open to feedback about our preferences. All our lodging was top-notch and conveniently located. Geirangerfjord Cruise & Day Trip

The day trip to Geiranger turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Not only was it a sunny day which made for extra special views of the fjord, one of the crew on the cruise was very friendly and shared helpful information throughout the journey, from the history of individual villages or homes we passed along the way, to things to do once we got to Geiranger, including to rent a mini Geiranger electric car, which had a GPS inside to direct you to a fabulous overlook just 15 minutes away. Once we got to the overlook for our perfect top of a fjord picture, we hiked a short bit in along a marked path and quickly got a way from most of the other tourists. We also enjoyed lunch and an ice-cream in town.

This was the one activity of the trip that I would definitely skip. There was nothing wrong with the excursion. The vendor did a fine job. But since we got to see the fjord from the water two other times as part of the RIB excursion later that day and then the next day from the "Norway in a Nutshell" ferry, I would have rather used that half day to go to the famous Stegastein overlook, walk to the Flam church, or go on another hike.

This was our first time working with a travel agency and we enjoyed the experience. We had a great time and we feel we saw a lot more with Adam’s itineraries than we would have if we planned the trip ourselves. The car and the hotels and apartments he picked for us were perfect and we felt really comfortable the whole trip, which says a lot since we had definite budget constraints. Highlights were Skaftafell Nature Preserve, Svinafellsjokull, Vik, the Westman Islands, and Olafsvik. We are grateful for everything and we will reach out again when we are ready to plan our next trip! Thanks!

Our Portugal trip was better than expected and we are looking forward to another visit to explore more. Margarida (spelling ?) was our walking tour guide in Lisbon and she was knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. She helped provide a balanced welcome into Portugal's history, culture, and food that made us appreciate our surroundings and the country.

Duarte was a friendly and knowledgeable driver/guide for Sintra and to/from Lagos. His unique background being a race car driver living in the Unite States and personal history and experiences made our time in the car feel special. He was safe, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and a positive experience.

Rodrigo drove us for a day in Lagos and Algarve and introduced us to some of the most beautiful beaches we've been to! He was friendly and easy to communicate with.

Marcos was our friendly driver to and from the Afronation concert and he made sure we got to and from safely.

Our family trip to Spain was wonderful. We took our family of 12, including 4 grandchildren, to Spain to celebrate my husband’s 75th birthday. We visited 5 cities in 2 weeks. The trip required lots of pre-planning. Bea helped us with transportation, guides, museum tickets, and hotel reservations.
Overall we were very pleased with our first KimKim trip, though initially somewhat frustrated with our attempts to compare hotels, and later on with delays in communication as we finalized tours and drivers .
The trip went off beautifully. Itinerary details were clear, everything ran on time with no glitches. It all ended up well and we are very happy we used KimKim!

Had a very accomplished driver who got us where we needed to go. The main attraction in Burgos is the beautiful Gothic cathedral which is preeminent in Spain and Europe. The bus had to drop us off a few blocks away from the cathedral. Definitely worth the visit but not necessary to spend more than a few hours in Burgos.

Day Trip to San Sebastián & Gipuzkoa Coast

Adur was an excellent and memorable tour guide. He was an interesting conversationalist, well-versed in the area, and fun to spend the day with. He helped us make the most of a rainy day in San Sebastián, making the area come alive with his anecdotes and enthusiasm. We ate tasty pintxos at 2 fun restaurants as we walked through San Sebastián and then enjoyed a leisurely drive along the beautiful coast back to Bilbao. On the way back we stopped for a visit to the charming town of Getaria.

Once the trip started, a more local agent was assigned to us and checked in daily through WhatsApp to provide details for the next day. We had an incident where money and credit cards were stolen at one of the hotels and Rutopia/KimKim acted swiftly and professionally, dealing with the hotel management to ensure we were compensated. We were hesitant at first to pay for a travel agent vs. planning ourselves, but in the end, we were so glad we opted for using the agency because it was so nice having someone confirming all the logistics/details for our trip every day and having an advocate for the theft incident. Also, the excursions planned with the local Mayan community were fantastic. We were thrilled to be supporting local businesses in their eco-tourism ventures - it was exactly what we were looking for. They provided access we wouldn't otherwise have had and it was all very seamless. My only complaint is that it was very hard to get official/legal documentation of (e.g. contract language) before we made our final payment. We were unclear who we were actually paying (KimKim or Rutopia) - who was the legal entity and what recourse did we have if they didn't follow-through with services? We wanted to see that language in a document before making our final payment, which wasn't offered initially. It's difficult to pay a substantial amount of money (for us, a family of 6) without having a legal document to review first. Online reviews were very positive though and now that our trip is over, I would 100% recommend this company and would use them again without hesitation for future trips.

The Ancient Canal Experience in Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve (morning)

Experience included a couple hour boat-ride through several massive lagoons. Scenery was gorgeous, great for bird-watchers. Our favorite was the 30 minute float through the "lazy river" (canal). Our favorite activity of the whole trip! It was beautiful, peaceful, crystal clear water. The guides were informative about the reserve. I was hoping to see a little more wildlife but mid-day, the most you will likely see are birds. My family of 6 from the US (with 4 teens/young adults) absolutely loved it.

Geza, Madrid-Very knowledgeable and caring. He did a great job of showing us the sights and explaining the importance behind each one. He was a little rushed, but seemed to be only because it was so hot. He gave us great recommendations.

Chavi, Toledo-One of my favorites. Chavi was so thoughtful the entire tour. He gave us what felt like a unique experience and made sure we got to know all we could about Toledo.

Heather, Tapas Málaga-Phenomenal! We got so much more than a tapas tour with Heather. She gave us so much information about the city and area, along with a history of the food we were trying.

Alfonso, Caminito del Rey-He was clearly experienced and knew what he was doing. He seemed over it with our group, but he still did a great job.

Eduardo, Top Buggy-Another one of our favs. He clearly knew what he was doing both with the side by sides and with providing a great experience. He was very knowledgeable and charismatic.

Gabriela, Alhambra-She was very kind and knowledgeable. She had a way of making sure we understood the history of the Alhambra through her words and added pictures for explanation. We could tell she really cared about the history of this place.

Katia, Tapas Granada-You could tell she used to own a restaurant. She was an expert in the food and wines we were tasting.

Lola, Sevilla-Lola was great! She took great care in making sure we got the most out of our experience.

Adriane, Cádiz-She was so energetic and excited to share about the history of Cádiz. She also sent us some great recommendations for the rest of the day.
