I had the most amazing 19 days traveling in Vietnam and Thailand.
This is my third time booking through KimKim, and my first with Realistic Asia and I am very pleased with the whole experience.
Lucy did a great job with the planning, and Long was amazing at finalizing, executing the plan and following through. Everything was tailored to my needs, the logistics were 10/10, and I was always taken care of.
The hotels they chose were in good locations, their drivers were always on time and polite, the activities were the type of things I love doing while traveling.
This time I traveled by myself and felt safe the entire time, plus I never felt the need to worry about anything, as everything was already taken care of.
I'm very thankful to everyone on the team, Long especially, for making this an amazing journey.
I'm sure I'll be in touch again soon.

This was my least favorite place to stay. I only stayed for one night, and while I was getting ready to check out I was looking through the room to make sure I wasn't leaving anything behind only to find trash under the bed... not only was it dusty there was a plastic bottle, a tissue and a Qtip. I felt very disgusted knowing the room I slept in hadn't been clean before. The walls were also dirty and the soap dispensers empty. I left this feedback while checking out and the staff approached me, apologised and didn't charge me for one drink I had. They took notes and photos and assured me they would work on improving, which I do appreciate.

However, the island had some things I disliked: horse pulling carriages, crocodiles being bred for leather, snakes for photo ops. It didn't feel right. The river canoes were very nice and visiting the temple was good too.

Fleur planned an excellent trip for us. Sure went through several iterations before we had the perfect trip planned and she was very responsive to us. We particularly enjoyed the multiple private tours she arranged (both walking and biking) in each city we visited. The canal canoe tour was a great break from the busy city. Our castle sightseeing day trip out of Dinant with Joris was a highlight for the whole family. Our accommodations were mostly perfect. The heat wave (outside of everyone's control) made the nights in Dinant without air conditioning a bit miserable. But the location was perfect to walk into town. Fleur was very helpful when we ran into challenges (like cancelled trains or unresponsive taxi services). Overall, I would not hesitate to use Kimkim for our next vacation.

Great location to walk into the town center or along the river. Quiet street. Very clean. There was not hand soap for the kitchen or bathroom. And there was no soap for the shower. The lack of soap in the shower is understandable, but no hand soap in the bathroom was not great. I understand that A/C is uncommon in a house like this. But it would have been lovely if they had a couple fans for the bedrooms.

The in-room laundry was very convenient (but quite slow ~5 hours per small load, so plan accordingly if you are needing to do laundry). Very friendly staff at the front desk.

Aleksandra was amazing. We had such a great time and she was so helpful. As with any travel, adjustments need to be made. Aleksandra was incredibly responsive. Our trip was what we had hoped it would be. My wife and I would definitely use her again.

From our initial contact to the end of the trip, this was a wonderful experience. The accommodations were on point to our desires for this experience, the activities were enjoyable and all transfers were timely! I believe Noga and the rest of the team heard our wishes and implemented them very well.

Our family was thrilled with our recent trip to Spain planned by Marina. We had the perfect amount of busy days and relaxing days. Some of our most memorable moments were-
kayaking and snorkeling in Costa Brava followed by relaxing on the beach. We loved our guide Stepan and he was so wonderful with the kids in the water and showing them about the plants and animals in the area.
the tapas tour in Barcelona - food and people were all wonderful! Boris had a great outgoing personality and really made everything so personalized and fun.
The Sagrada Familia was so beautiful.
The caves in Nerja were amazing, as was the town of Frigiliana. This was a great way to slow down a bit and enjoy the pace of a smaller town.
We loved Valencia and the Science museum campus.
In Madrid, we went to Euphoria - Art is in the Air, which is an inflatable art exhibition. It was so cool to see and interactive for the kids. We really want to see it again in Chicago.

Overall, we loved the people, food, sights, and lifestyle in Spain. We thank Marina so much, and all our guides, for a wonderful trip!

Last summer my family (7-year-old daughter, 9-year old son, me and my husband and my parents) decided 2026 was the year for our bucket list trip to Iceland. We decided to work with KimKim again after the wonderful experience we had the summer before traveling to Japan.

I reached out to KimKim last June to start planning and they put me in touch with Gummi, our Icelandic travel coordinator and who ended up being our tour guide and driver who was with us for most of our trip. More to come in a moment on Gummi the guide.

As our travel coordinator, Gummi was incredibly responsive and helpful in shaping our vacation. He helped us prioritize the areas of the country that best aligned to the vacation we were looking for, he helped us pick activities and excursions that were great for the kids and my parents alike, and he strongly suggested we didn’t miss out on seeing highlands of Iceland which ended up being most of our group’s favorite part of the trip. His hotel and restaurant recommendations were wonderful; every meal was fantastic.

As a guide, we couldn’t have asked for more!
Gummi’s knowledge of the country, from its history and the Viking Sagas to the volcanoes and eruptions that have shaped the landscape, to the glaciers, and Nordic mythology, his expertise was so impressive. Some of my favorite parts of the trip were hearing Gummi and my son swap their favorite stories about Odin, Thor and the rest of the Nordic gods:). He was so engaged with all of and also was great at managing the time he was with us and when we had time as a family. Yes we could have rented a car and driven ourselves stop to stop but we would have missed out on so much each day that we learned, thanks to Gummi. The conversation in the van rides from destination to destination was as enjoyable as the stops!

We are so grateful to Gummi and KimKim for this amazing experience. It’s our favorite family vacation yet and we give so much credit to Gummi for taking wonderful care of us and treating us like family!

Really appreciated the variety of the 3 different hot springs. Hotels were all great and again, quite different. We’re very glad to have driven north to see that part of the country (less touristy) and then fly back south. Thank you for a wonderful trip! We will definitely consider KimKim for future travel.

This was a bucket-list trip for me, and I am so thankful to Paula for arranging such a diverse menu of experiences for my friends and me! I came for Hobbiton and LOTR nostalgia, but I fell in love with so many other sides of New Zealand—the misty mountains, the clear rivers (with such pure, sweet water), the delicious pies, the kindness of people. I faced challenges I would not have tackled on my own, such as the adventurous hike on Mt. Tarawera in Rotorua, where the encouraging enthusiasm of our guides kept us going! We loved getting to learn more about Maori stories and history, and we still talk about meeting that cheeky kea during the Kapiti Coast tour in Wellington. My friend particularly adored her spa experience at Wai Ariki. I would also like to mention that we appreciated how exceptional our tour guides were. They all had such personality and warmth, and we were so grateful for the intimacy of the tours. We were also pleasantly surprised by having spots reserved for us during the ride to the Walter Peaks farm dinner! Thank you so much for arranging all the details of our trip; this made our time here so relaxing, and we felt that we were in good hands. Overall, we made so many memories during our time here in New Zealand!

Charlotte with kimkim did a wonderful job helping plan my family’s vacation. On very short notice, she put together a wonderful plan going from Adelaide to Melbourne along the great Ocean Road. She was always very responsive to all of the many questions that I had. I would not hesitate to use them again.

We cannot recommend Sandy highly enough! She planned an absolutely extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime trip for our first visit to Japan.

From the very beginning, Sandy took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for. We told her we weren’t interested in sitting around—we wanted to experience as much of Japan as possible—and she delivered an incredible itinerary that was perfectly tailored to us. Every day was thoughtfully planned with the right balance of sights, hidden gems, cultural experiences, incredible food, and unique activities.

We traveled through Tokyo, Kanazawa, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hakone, and somehow managed to fit more into 13 days than we thought possible. In fact, several locals commented that they couldn’t believe how much we experienced in such a short amount of time! Despite the packed schedule, the trip never felt chaotic because every detail was so well organized.

What truly set Sandy apart was her knowledge, flexibility, and responsiveness. She patiently worked through countless revisions as we refined our plans, always offering thoughtful suggestions and creative ideas that made the itinerary even better. Throughout the planning process, she was incredibly easy to work with and consistently responded quickly to every question we had.

It’s clear that Sandy genuinely cares about creating unforgettable experiences for her clients. If you’re planning a trip to Japan, do yourself a favor and work with Sandy - you won’t regret it!

This was an amazing trip!! I can’t explain how much fun I had. Samantha did great organizing my trip and adding all the things I wanted and even those I didn’t know I wanted. I had fun meeting Sienna (another KimKim specialist) on one of my tours. I love that the specialists experience everything for themselves so they know what clients will experience. My one tip - go on the sailboat tour with David!!! He was a gem. One of my tours was cancelled bc there weren’t enough people, but it ended up being perfect because o was able to get out in Sydney with no agenda or timetable.

From my first inquiry to the day we sadly departed Italy, our experience with Kim Kim was outstanding. The itinerary that Leslie curated for us was amazing, and included all of the activities/sights we wanted to experience while in Italy. Most of our tours/excursions were private, which was such a treat! And while we didn't necessarily love the larger group tours at the end of the trip, the guides were very good, and provided great information on the sites we were visiting. Having such great experiences curated and planned for us took the trip to another level...and all we had to do was show up! We only had one small glitch while in Italy....the day we were in Florence we were not permitted to tour the Duomo, which had been advertised on our daily itinerary, and was something we were very excited for, and very sad to have missed. When I reached out to my local Kim Kim advisor, I was told that the itinerary did have "fine print" that indicated that some venues may be closed upon arrival, therefore we technically should have been prepared for that outcome. As we were very disappointed in missing one of the biggest attractions in Florence (after being told it was part of the itinerary), Kim Kim listened to my concerns and immediately issued us a monetary refund for that portion of the day for our inconvenience and disappointment (even though entrance to the Duomo is free). This small glitch was the only negative experience we had in our 12 days in Italy. I would definitely use them again, and plan to for an upcoming trip. Kim Kim made our 30th anniversary trip to Italy an exquisite adventure that we will treasure for years to come!

Our trip to Belize was wonderful. This was a change of plans vacation, so it was books with just a couple months notice. With this timeframe and no knowledge of the country, I booked with this company to do an overview vacation, and I have to say, I was very impressed. Our guides and driver's showed every time, on time, full of information, and ready to go. We did both San Ignacio and San Pedro. Each for four days, and everything was nice and well planned out. We really enjoyed San Ignacio more than San Pedro, but this is a personal choice. If you are a beachy family, then the islands is where you want to be. We really enjoyed the archeology and history - although my kids may say otherwise. Everyone in Belize was friendly and very helpful, especially Carino and the folks that drove and guided us. I honestly did not have to worry about anything other than getting my family to the lobby on time. I highly recommend this company.

Kim Kim planned our Morocco trip after we didn't have the time to arrange it ourselves this year — our first time booking with them and our first private tour. Really glad we did.

From the start, Yassine was on top of everything — fast replies, patient with our questions, and sent over a clear day-by-day PDF itinerary with contact numbers for the whole trip. Took a lot of the guesswork out of it before we even landed.

Our driver Hicham made the trip. Always on time, always available, easygoing and just a genuinely good guy. We were in a spacious, air-conditioned Mercedes Vito, which was a lifesaver given how hot it got — no scrambling for taxis, no logistics to think about. Having a private driver the whole way is something we'd never done before and honestly it's spoiled us for future trips. Big thanks to Hicham.

We covered Casablanca (Hassan II Mosque), then two days in Fez with a Medina tour led by Fatima Zahra — really insightful. On the drive to Marrakesh, we asked if we could swing by Rabat even though it wasn't part of the original plan, and our driver made it happen — got a few hours there we weren't expecting, which turned out to be a highlight. Finished with two days in Marrakesh: a food tour with Hatem (great local history and context), a full walking tour of the city despite the heat, and a relaxing hammam session to close things out.

No stress, nothing to plan, everything just worked. My wife's first time in Morocco and she loved it. We'll be booking with Kim Kim Tours again.

We first visited Roatan for a daughters wedding, than planned an 8 day Quatamala and Belize trip thru Company Kimkim. They used Columbus Quatmala Travel and all was amazing. We had special tour guides and drivers that were extemely knowledgeable and prompt. For most of Quatmala, we had Roberto (Lake Atitlian..visited villages around the lake, etc.) & Antiqua) , who had so much energy, personality knowledge, passion, flexiable, intuitive and just fun! He was definitely our favorite. Then we had Carlos who took us on a 5 hours tour of Tikal National Park Mayan Ruins. Another fantastic tour... but he was a little more serious, still very knowlegble & focused. Johnathan was a driver who drove us to the Belize border, but shared a lot of knowledge on the way. We met Renee at border, who toured us thru Xunantunich Mayan ruins... A very happy, knowlegeable, flexible guy. Also shared much knowledge while driving. We enjoyed him as well. Carmeron picked us up at Hopkins hotel and drove us to Belize airport. Again he shared a lot of knowledge as he drove us for two hours.
I cannot say enough good things to describe both companies, Kimkim and Columbus Quatmala Travel. Both were unbelievably responsive and flexible! We gave them an idea of our preferences. They asked questions to ensure we were happy with their suggestions all along the way. Very communitive. They planned the trip from the moment we stepped off the plane in Quatamala til when getting on the plane home in Belize. Every hotel was amazing! Every tour was over the top! Every guide was truly fantastic. We can't thank this group enough! We will definitely being using them again to plan our next year's trip. They are a real find!!!!! sidenote: there were many highlights on this trip, but one that is a favorite is the snorkeling trip we took with Med and Richie D at the Jaquar Reef Hotel in Hopkins (Almond beach). Real local guys...they were a total BLAST! While snorkeling the Barrier Reef, they caught 4 lobster & 3 fish. They cleaned them and gave us 2 lobsters and a mango they just picked off the tree. Brought them back to our hotel chef and he mades us the most amazing meal with a mango sauce and rice. TO DIE FOR. The whole snorkeling experience was a once-in-a-life-time experence from the time picked up and dropped off. Almost 5 hours (supposed to be 4). An amazing trip to be sure! Wouldn't have changed any of these experiences. Thanks to all of you, for your patience, sharing of knowledge and of yourselves. Words aren't enough... God Bless!

This review has been a long time coming, I feel terrible for taking so long to write it, but our experience with Mathia was AMAZING. He was very accommodating and patient with us, even though we asked him to update our itinerary multiple times. Also, while we were in Norway, we got a little lost and he was able to help us get back on track. He was planning on being on vacation for part of our trip and gave us plenty of notice and made sure we had another person that we could contact in case we needed assistance. He was super friendly, and really personalized our honeymoon. A great experience, and now we are planning to use Kimkim again for our trip to Switzerland.

We had a wonderful trip despite temperatures 15-20 degrees above normal. We loved all the cities we visited- Bellagio at Lake Como, Ortisie, Venice, Florence and Monterosso in the Cinque Terre. The tours were great- especially the 2 women (Paola and Lucia) in Florence. The hotels went above our expectations- magnificent!! All of our arranged drivers were so professional and went above their prescribed duties to help us navigate from city to city and from train to water taxi.

This hotel could not have been a better location to enjoy the Dolomites and Ortisei. The staff were wonderful and professional and helped us find the gondolas for 2 days of hiking. The food at breakfast was so delicious and freshly made. We loved this hotel

These people couldn’t have been more helpful. Our kimkim representative Andrea had guided that helped us from the transport can to the ferry and off the ferry to the hotel. Then upon leaving the hotel we had guided that helped us on and off the ferry to the train station. There was even one at the train station to help us fine the right platform. This is what kimkim excels at - the details of traveling - helping tourists navigate from one place to another without stress.

They were so kind with my initial back-and-forth in the planning (I changed dates, flipped direction of travel, etc), and it was no problem for the team. They were kind, gracious, and handled it all.

I really, really loved the Kimkim app as well - having everything in one place (including links to meetup points, tickets, and a chat function) was so smart and user-friendly. Taylor provided so many points of contact - and I appreciate the phone calls to answer any questions and provide some extra tips.
