Our first hotel stay in Reykjavík was a bit complicated due to a long customs process and a late arrival. We had requested a quiet room, but upon arrival, they didn't have one available at the original hotel, so they upgraded us to a sister hotel near the water, which was a nice upgrade. The room was lovely, and the hotel was fine, though the change was unexpected and made our first day a bit tiring.

One of my favorite places to stay on this trip, despite having to carry our suitcases up 2 floors ( ha) . We had a nice view out our window of the mts. and it was a quiet location. The common kitchen area was well stocked and comfy for a morning hangout . The shower was adequate and the room nice and cozy.

The hotel is in a lovely setting and the staff were very friendly. I had some incredible lamb lasagna for dinner and the morning cheese selection was very tasty. I loved the setting near the far end of a dirt road and then the nearness to a nice hike. The room was a bit chilly but everything was nice and clean

The Explore Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon by Zodiac Boat was another great activity. I had no issues with it, and it was a memorable part of the trip.

I had no issues with the Glacier Lagoon Kayaking at Sólheimajökull. It was a fantastic experience, and I really enjoyed it without any problems.

After the whale watching, we did the GeoSea Geothermal Sea Baths Experience, which was wonderful and relaxing. It was a great way to unwind after a rough day on the water.

We loved this small hotel on Korcula. The most special part was the staff. What a lovely group of young men (and one woman), who were so fun to talk to, gave great recommendations and just all around great service! Bojan and Dino were especially kind. The food there was also quite delicious. It’s a short walk from old town of Korcula and right across the road from the water. Lovely spot!

An awful choice. Far from most hotel and tourist areas. Water is always cold, and sometimes, no water at all. Toilets don't work properly. The personnel are extremely unfriendly. The featured buffet actually counts the pieces and does not allow refills.

An excellent hotel and a very tasty breakfast

So much fun! Not at all scary. Slapstick comedy that wa great for our family with kids ranging from 6-12 years. Guides were hilarious yet still provided some great history of the town. Kids loved the “scary” bits and tried to catch the guides as they added some surprises to the tour. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to learn a little history with comedy and ghost stories thrown in. Great for families!

What a cool experiences! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the park and Irish history. He offered stops for pictures and even took family pics for us. He let the kiddos sit up front with him and feed the horse a small snack. I would absolutely recommend this horseback tour to anyone visiting Killarney National Park!

Awesome experience to try Dublin-centric foods. Guide gave a great overview of the city as we walked from place to place as well as the foods and eateries we visited. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who loves food!

Our driver and guide was such an incredible host. Not only did he provide culture and history during our drive, he made sure we had personalized experiences at every tour or stop. He also took tons of pictures and recommended extra stops and places to eat.

The room was perfect and the breakfast was wonderful. We arrived at Pine Trees before the rain started. After we were in the room, the rain began and sitting in the room listening to the rain was so relaxing. The hotel had snacks set out and a tea pot in the room. So afternoon tea was so enjoyable.

Finding the entrance to Palazzo Tasso was a bit confusing at first, but fortunately the hotel’s website included helpful instructions on how to access it from a nearby side street. Once we arrived, we found the location to be excellent. Tucked away on a quieter street but just steps from Piazza Tasso, it offered both convenience and a peaceful atmosphere. Palazzo Tasso is a straightforward hotel, with a reception desk and guest rooms but no common areas for socializing or relaxing. That suited us perfectly, as we stayed there toward the end of our trip and were mostly looking for a comfortable place to recharge after long days of exploring. Our room had several thoughtful features that we especially appreciated, including keyless entry with a code instead of a traditional key, a balcony overlooking the main street, a spacious shower, and a high-quality Dyson hair dryer. Those details made our stay feel both easy and comfortable. Overall, Palazzo Tasso was a great base for enjoying everything Sorrento has to offer.

We had a wonderful stay at Imperati Suites. While it is not located right in the middle of town, the location was still very manageable and offered a nice balance of convenience and tranquility. It is close enough to the road that arriving with luggage was easy and did not require navigating too many stairs. Getting to the beach was straightforward, with several routes to choose from. We especially enjoyed taking the longer path, which involved fewer stairs and offered beautiful views along the way, as well as plenty of restaurants and shops to explore. Katia was incredibly welcoming and always available to answer questions or help with anything we needed during our stay. Her hospitality made us feel right at home. The rooms were surprisingly spacious, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. However, the highlight of our stay was waking up each morning to the stunning view and enjoying breakfast on the balcony. It was the perfect way to start the day and one of our favorite memories from Positano.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mignon. The location was excellent - just a short walk from Piazza Tasso - and we loved having a market and bank nearby within walking distance, which made everything incredibly convenient. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and impeccably maintained. Every area felt clean and inviting throughout our stay - especially the dining and outdoor areas. While the rooms are not large, they are thoughtfully designed and make great use of the space. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. As Americans visiting during the summer, we especially appreciated how well the air conditioning worked! We would absolutely stay at Hotel Mignon again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento.

The private hike along the Path of the Gods was another highlight of our trip to Italy. Our guide, Vincenzo, was fantastic. He was engaging, easy to understand, and struck the perfect balance between sharing information and simply letting us enjoy the experience. He pointed out interesting sights along the trail, matched our pace perfectly, and shared stories about both Italian culture and his own life, which made the four-hour hike pass surprisingly quickly. We hiked from Agerola to Nocelle and then continued on to Montepertuso, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The scenery was absolutely stunning throughout. Some of our favorite moments included seeing herds of goats on the mountainside, passing residents tending their gardens, and walking the same paths that donkeys traveled centuries ago. We also loved stopping at the lemonade stand in Nocelle and seeing the walkways that locals still use to travel between Nocelle and Montepertuso. As fans of Nicki Positano’s YouTubevideos, it was especially fun to recognize many of the views and landmarks we had seen online. This is not an easy hike, so we were very glad that we brought hiking shoes and plenty of water. That said, the effort was more than worth it. After finishing the hike, lunch at Ristorante Il Ritrovo in Montepertuso was the perfect reward and a wonderful way to end an incredible experience. We would highly recommend this excursion to anyone looking to experience the Amalfi Coast beyond the beaches and town centers.

This full-day boat excursion to Capri was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. Having experienced it firsthand, we now fully appreciate the value of taking a private boat directly from Sorrento rather than navigating the ferry to Capri and joining a tour from there. The experience was seamless, relaxing, and allowed us to enjoy the island from an entirely different perspective. Our guides, Mario and Rafaello, struck the perfect balance of being welcoming, accommodating, and knowledgeable without ever feeling intrusive. We had already spent time exploring Capri by taxi a few days earlier, but seeing the island from the water was a completely different experience. They pointed out the various coves and took us to the quieter side of the island that we had not yet discovered. One of our favorite moments was being able to jump into the crystal-clear water and cool off during the day. The leisurely lunch on the island’s quieter side was exactly what we needed and provided a perfect break from the busier tourist areas. This excursion gave us some of our favorite memories from Italy, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast.

We loved the location and convenience of this hotel's setup- the rooms were right next to the pool with a very handy kitchenette to store leftovers, make drinks, etc. The pool was lovely although definitely needs more shade first both swimming and sitting. The kids activities were great and the little soccer field was a hit. More beach chairs would be helpful as well. The staff was helpful in planning excursions and walking down to the Marina was convenient and beautiful.

Wonderful unique place! Having a room at the top of the mountain was a challenge and mild inconvenience with kids, but the shuttle was fast and predictable. The highlight was the very warm hot springs pool/bar, and the water slides for the kids were a hit for hours. Close to La Fortuna for dinner, near the excursions, etc.

Wonderful experience even for the littles – the staff was kind and helpful to the slightly nervous kiddos, and everyone had a great day

A lovely family friendly activity that was safe with just enough excitement to keep everyone engaged. The raft guides were knowledgeable and friendly and we had a great experience even in the rain.

A short walk to Old Town, this hotel had a lot of its own charm - nice rooms, nice pool, good service, close to a few good restaurant options. Exceeded our initial expectations.

We really loved this hotel - very close proximity to beach, helpful and kind staff, BIG and clean rooms, made us feel at home. WIsh they had a pool like some of the other hotels in the area however there is no hotel closer to the famous beach and they also have an option for rooms with hot tubs.

Amazing location, incredible and helpful staff, wonderful breakfast. Exceeded all expectations!

A great experience on the boat, in the ocean and on land!

Completely exceeded expectations - Zoran was extremely knowledgeable and kind guiding us through the hike up to the caves. We also enjoyed the company of his dog, who joined for the hiking tour. The scenery was amazing and the hike was the right level of challenge - it pushed us but was very doable. Highly recommend for a half day tour when in the area.

This hotel was in a great location, just a short walk from the canal for convenient water taxi transportation. It was close to excellent restaurants, yet far enough away to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. Our room featured large windows overlooking one of the few private gardens in the area, providing a beautiful and tranquil view.

Located in the heart of Florence, this hotel was spacious, clean, and perfectly situated for exploring the city. Being right next to the square was incredibly convenient, although it was a bit louder in the evening than I would have preferred. The breakfast room was fantastic, and the croissants were absolutely delicious—the perfect way to start each day.

Our room was quiet, clean, and centrally located, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We had a wonderful experience and would gladly stay here again.

This tour was definitely helpful in understanding the rich history of Florence. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and did a wonderful job bringing the city's history to life. The experience gave us a much deeper appreciation for Florence and its incredible cultural heritage.

It was clear that our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and well educated on the subject. She shared a wealth of fascinating information throughout the tour and even extended our time together to show us a few additional sites. My husband asked plenty of questions, and she answered every one with confidence and depth. Her expertise and enthusiasm made the experience both informative and enjoyable, and we left with a much greater appreciation for the history and culture.

Matteo was a fantastic guide and introduced us to a less touristy part of the city, where we were able to experience some of the region's most delicious and authentic foods. It was such a fun and flavorful experience and a wonderful way to explore neighborhoods we might never have discovered on our own. We also enjoyed meeting some of the local people who live and work in the area, which made the tour feel even more authentic. This was an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our trip.

Throughout the tour, Andreas shared fascinating insights into the local culture and history at every stop. In Lucca, we learned about the village's rich past, visited the home associated with the story of Pinocchio, and explored the lively market square that was once an ancient Roman gladiatorial arena. We then enjoyed lunch and a wine tasting at Fattoria Enzo Carmignani, where our gracious hostess introduced us to several excellent white and red wines. It was a very different experience from the smaller, family-owned winery we had visited a few days earlier, giving us an appreciation for another side of Tuscany's wine culture. The day concluded in Pisa, which was the highlight of the tour. Andreas provided an in-depth history of the Leaning Tower, explaining both the era in which it was built and the remarkable engineering efforts that have preserved it over the centuries. His enthusiasm, expertise, and storytelling made this one of the highlights of our visit to Tuscany.

Elena was so engaging, friendly, and welcoming. She shared so much about the local culture and history, making the tour both informative and enjoyable. Burano was an absolute gem and was definitely the biggest surprise of our trip. As we traveled through the canals, Elena pointed out each of the islands we passed and was a wealth of knowledge about them. Her enthusiasm and expertise made this one of the highlights of our visit to Venice. The perfect ending of our week in Italy.

While Siena and San Gimignano were both amazing medieval villages to explore, the highlight of the day was our private winery tour and lunch with Martina and her family. The homemade food and Chianti were absolutely delicious, and the setting was breathtaking—like stepping into an Italian painting. It was a truly authentic and unforgettable experience that we will always remember.

We learned so much about the history of ancient Rome on this tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and engaging. Her passion for the subject made the experience even more enjoyable, and we came away with a much deeper appreciation for the history of Rome.

Cannot emphasize enough that this should be a highly recommended activity.

This is a wonderful hotel with excellent and helpful staff. The restaurant meal was delightful but suggest booking a table. Great musicians just outside the main dining room and when booking perhaps ask what tine the start. 5 Minute drive to the pier and beach.

About a 10-15 minute drive into Galway. Room was great with a very small bathroom. Host was excellent and informative including music, eating and sightseeing (and laundry). Good morning view. Excellent breakfast. Amazing garden.

Location is the best thing about this hotel - Right next to the visitor center and a short walk to the giants causeway. Service in the restaurant was quite slow. Room was comfortable and clean.

Exxcellent room, Location and Staff. Would happily stay there again. Note because of the location on St Stephans Green there is no parking and limited place to stop and drop off luggage. Parking is available in close by (10 minute walk) and subsidized. Vey helpful staff and good breakfast.

Wonderful location - outside town so quieter but within a 10 minute flat walk. Excellent facilities including an indoor pool and a play area for children. Great food and an excellent breakfast (best of the trip). Traditional music in the bar. Room had an great view. Note that this is a wedding venue as well so sometimes I expect that there will be louder music.

Used the big red bus to get around. To really visit you need a few days. Don't miss out on the visit to the Guiness Stonehouse tour

Fantastic place to wander around. Magnificent gardens. Very busy.

Great fun overall and learnt quite a bit about Irish music. Hosts were quite amusing.

Seeing the dog working a large group of sheep 200 yards away while the shepard was vocalizing the commands with a normal voice level was amazing. Sheep shearing was demonstrated. Got to feed and hold the lambs as well.

Weather was not very cooperative. Spent most of my time outside of the town. Visited Glenveagh National park which I highly recommend and then drove back roads to the Slieve League Cliffs. Unfortunately shrouded in mist. Irish friends recommended these over the Cliffs of Mohr as they are higher and far less crowde.

Connor was fantastic - took us to many places that were a bit off the beaten track especially as he knew I was interested in photography. Make sure he takes you to the restaurant that has Seafood chowder!

Dee was an excellent guide - funny, entertaining, a good singer, very informative. Gave me lots of tips about what I should see the following day.

I only give it a 4 out of five because the rooms that were booked did not exist. Alternatives were given and all worked out fine. Also: Hotel 3 Puntas Valle Nevado had the only night time bar/lounge and the noise was constant - however if the men were in the age group - all would have been fine and they learned to live with it.

The Hotel Alchimy in Albi was nice, and the restaurant there was excellent with very good service. However, the air conditioning in our room was not effective during the heat wave, and we had to request a fan to stay comfortable. Despite this, the staff were very accommodating and tried their best to help.

We stayed at Le Petit Manoir in Sarlat and really loved it. The hotel was lovely, centrally located, and the staff were very accommodating, helping us with dinner reservations and local plans. The pool was a great bonus, and the air conditioning was very effective and refreshing.

No air conditioning, and no hot water. Beautiful and nice people but AC is a must.

The exploration of Beynac-et-Cazenac and the visit to Beynac Castle were very interesting and enjoyable. It was a great addition to our trip and well organized by Amadine.

Visiting Chateau Malandez, Josephine Baker's home, was beautiful and a highlight of our trip. It was a meaningful and well-planned part of our itinerary.

The visit to the Lascaux Caves was very enjoyable. Amandine was very helpful in rescheduling our tickets due to the Tour de France road closures, which made the experience smooth and stress-free.

The kayaking experience with Saporito was excellent. The company was very accommodating, and the app they provided was fantastic, allowing us to know exactly where we were on the river at all times. The whole kayaking trip from town to town was very well organized with car and driver transfers, which made it very enjoyable and stress-free.
