Our trip to England was incredible! Kate truly listened to our interests and crafted the perfect itinerary—blending city highlights, countryside charm, and small-town experiences. In just one week, we visited palaces, farmhouses, and ancient Roman baths, and got a real feel for England’s rich history and culture. All of the travel arrangements were seamless—drivers were punctual and friendly, and our tours were fantastic. The Black Cab tour with Chris was fun and informative, and the walking tour of Bath with Ulrich brought the city’s history and architecture to life. Every hotel was spot on for our group of three. Our favorite was the Manor House in Castle Combe—beautiful, comfortable, and topped off with a lovely afternoon tea. Kate was thoughtful, organized, and so easy to work with. I highly recommend her to anyone planning a trip to England—she made our vacation unforgettable!

Great trip to Scotland! It was great to have all our activities and lodging planned by KimKim, and then presented to us for review and approval before committing to the trip. At every activity and lodging spot we just gave our name and the reservation was waiting for us. Dinner at The Witchery was truly special, all our lodging was top-rate, our Old Town Edinburgh guide (Katie Rae) was awesome, and our distillery tour driver (Jimmy) was very good.

Exploring Edinburgh Castle

Due to travel logistics and scheduling conflicts, we were unable to visit Edinburgh Castle at the initially scheduled time of 2:30 PM on the first day. The entire group couldn't arrive in time due to varying flight schedules, but I was able to switch the tickets to the next day. Coordination with all parties' flight schedules would improve the ease of executing these plans.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable 10 day trip to Jordan arranged by Samir and Enjoy Jordan. Our driver Amin was excellent, very knowledgeable, helpful and obliging.

Petra was a highlight along with great diving in the Red Sea in Aqaba.

We had a fantastic 1-week trip in Morocco thanks to the well thought through itinerary put together by Hakim. It was a full immersion into the local culture, customs and cuisine. Simply wonderful. Throughout the trip Hakim was always available which made us feel very comfortable and safe.

I initially sought the help of Kimkim because I knew we were ambitious in our own desires and needed to travel as efficiently as possible: We wanted to see Osaka, Hiroshima, Miyajima Island, Beppu, Kurokawa Onsen, and Fukuoka when experiencing Kyushu for the first time, and then fly to Hokkaido for Sapporo's Autumn Food Festival and a day trip to Lake Toya — all in just 2 weeks time. We had been to Japan before, and we knew how more expertise in our planning would be wise, especially since we insisted on private cultural experiences versus touristy attractions and crowds. Kimkim delivered on our desires and more.
Our local specialist Cannon was exceptional, and we really appreciated how he communicated with us. He made superb suggestions, was remarkably responsive and timely, and kept in touch daily during our trip. He always remained sensitive to our budget, and even sent us suggested walking routes when we were on our own leisure time. At one point, he even offered to be our translator when a medical mishap occurred, and he stepped up his behind-the-scenes updates with our guides and drivers accordingly.
Our thanks to guide Akiko (Hiroshima & Miyajima Island), driver Gong (Beppu, Kurokawa Onsen & Fukuoka), and driver Naru (Sapporo & Lake Toya): each of your added specialties added to our trip wonderfully.

Overall, our Italy trip was wonderful. Our itinerary was packed but allowed enough down time to relax and explore each destination. Alessia, our concierge, was very attentive and did all she could to make sure everything went smoothly. We enjoyed spending time with her in Venice; she took special care selecting locations for the food tour so that we could try different local specialties. We also enjoyed the Venice walking tour. In Florence, the Tuscany tour was amazing! There was a communication problem regarding our transfer from Florence to Rome, the driver notified the hotel staff that he was waiting for us at the entrance but apparently didn’t communicate with the local concierge who was not yet at the hotel. The driver took us to the train station without the concierge, which led to some confusion and frustration. The concierge met us at the train station; we made our train without any issue. Once in Rome, the Colosseum tour was disappointing. The guide was unprepared and disorganized. It was a very hot day but didn’t try to find shade, spent an especially long time on Palatine Hill, leaving everyone on the tour wandering around. The tour ended about 30 mins early in the middle of the Colosseum, didn’t give us the opportunity to climb the stairs or go to the bottom floor. After this tour, there was another communication problem with the driver. Alessia contacted us with a driver change about 30 mins before the tour was to end (we were already dismissed and exploring), then a few minutes later a driver also contacted us, saying he was there. We then hurried to exit, he asked where we were, we did our best to describe our surroundings and sent pictures but failed to find him, after about 45mins of back and forth messages with the driver, struggling with WhatsApp to try to figure out how to send photos and receive phone calls, we cancelled the ride and walked back to the hotel. The Vatican City tour the following day was much better, despite being very crowded, our guide did a good job managing the group and was organized and knowledgeable. Our transfers to Sorrento and Sicily went smoothly. At our request, Alessia was able to reschedule our Capri boat tour which saved us from a rainy day. We loved the tour in Palermo, the crypts were extraordinary, and we had fun learning about the unique attractions. The guide was well educated and eager to show us around the city.
Except for some communication issues and a bad tour experience, our trip was great. One suggestion would be for drivers to communicate through the concierge and not directly with clients. This may have saved us some frustration. WhatsApp works well for text messaging, but I was unable to accept phone calls, perhaps more instruction is needed prior to travel.

The room was spacious and had the best shower of all of the Italian hotels we visited. Most importantly, the staff was amazing! They helped us navigate the area and recommend restaurants. One of the team members went out of his way to lend us his personal luggage scale when we were unable to find a way to ship purchased items home!

This tour was disappointing. The guide was unprepared and disorganized. It was a very hot day but we spent an especially long time on Palatine Hill, without the guide making any effort to find shade and leaving everyone on the tour wandering around wondering when we would move on. The guide did show us one of the special exhibits in the Forum that featured Egyptian art but didn't have much else to offer during the tour of the Forum. We were excited to explore the colosseum, she mentioned climbing the stairs but dismissed the tour group about 30 mins early in the middle of the Colosseum, without giving us the opportunity or showing us where to climb the stairs or go to the bottom floor (which she said was a separate ticket).

Our most memorable experiences were our tours. We found that all of our guides were exceptionally knowledgeable and were able to pace our tours to match our mobility issues.

Our cruise on the Vitava River was a great way to begin our tour of Prague. Unfortunately, our city tour was plagued by rain, but our guide, Katarina, worked around it. In fact, she found a wonderful cafe where we were able to dry and warm up while watching the Astronomical Clock do its thing. At night we enjoyed an amazing classical concert at the Spanish Synagogue.

Our guide for our Jewish Prague tour, Zaza, was extraordinary! She was very sweet and so smart! We were very fortunate to have her.

Our last day in Terezin was very moving. Again our guide was so full of knowledge. All in all we enjoyed Prague very much.

We would not recommend this hotel for older adults with mobility issues. The high tub and steps between the bathroom and bedroom were dangerous for us. The staff was helpful and offered to change our room, but once we had settled in we didn't want to pack and unpack again. The location was fine, in the middle of everything. We had a very exciting and informative trip. All of the guides were professional, personable and exhibited enthusisam when sharing details and history of the places we visited. My only disappointment was with the bus trip to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath. We arrived before the castle was open to visitors and were among the first people to enter. There was not sufficient time to enjoy the tour of the castle. I felt as though I was racing through the various rooms in order to make it back to the bus for the next segment of our trip. I would suugest taking a train to Windsor in order to have more time and not try to cram that much into the day.

Disappointed in some of scheduling. 2 of the sites we were supposed to visit were closed:Kofukuji Temple and the Tokugawa Art Museum and their gardens. We were disappointed that these visits were not confirmed and an adjustments made.

We had to cut short our trip for health reasons, and never expected or sought a refund for the unused portions. So it was a pleasant shock when Emerson contacted us to say that he had recovered more than $2,000. We are immensely grateful to Emerson and KimKim. It is a wise company that would do this, instead of just keeping the money. And Emerson is a first-class representative of KimKim. We'd recommend the company, and him, to anyone.

Loved the trip! Will definitely be using Kimkim for future adventures!

I don't have enough positive things to say about our experience with KimKim and Original Travels. Not only was the service super easy to use, but having a local plan our trip made the experience all the more special. It felt like we were really able to maximize the limited time we had in Morocco and leave having gotten a great overview of the country, which is no easy feat given how much there is to see and experience (I will definitely be going back!). A special shoutout to Ali and Said who were very responsive, easy to communicate with, and did an excellent job customizing our experience to us.

Perhaps the true star of our trip, however, was our local driver, Tayeb. He went above and beyond in making us feel welcome — meeting all of our needs, providing great recommendations, keeping us safe, and teaching us so much about Moroccan history and culture. He made our experience unforgettable, and we left feeling like we'd made a true friend. Make sure to request him directly when you book! You'll be in the best of hands.

Gustavo was excellent to communicate and work with during planning of the trip and he planned the best trip! We saw a little of everything, all of the accommodations were nice, and every guide/driver was very kind and made sure our experience was great. Our stay in Monteverde was especially nice and so were the employees, they helped us change reservation times and book more excursions. I would recommend kimkim to all of my friends!

Location was on a busy road with limited side walk options, so the 10 minute walk to town was a little scary, we didn’t feel comfortable doing it at night. But it is walkable to downtown and there is lots of shops and restaurants! If you walk the opposite direction of downtown there is a beautiful river and rope swing that we enjoyed a lot.

Staff was very nice and helpful with any questions. Felicia the cat is also very nice and welcomes pets.

This place was nice, definitely seemed a little more out of date than the other places we stayed. But some of the rooms were under renovation while we were staying so probably will be updated soon.

This hotel didn’t seem as clean as the others we stayed at, but it wasn’t bad by any means. The room also didn’t have a tv with streaming options, just local tv. But it did have a lovely balcony and a nice hot shower.

We were booked in the private apartment that is a little down the block and it was EXTREMELY nice. It was modern, clean, and very comfortable. On top of having lovely accommodations, the staff was extremely helpful and nice. They gave us advice to change our reservation time to earlier because of rain and then handled it for us. They also recommended a night tour and were able to book that for us too. It’s also pretty close and easy walk to the downtown location. I would without a doubt stay here again.

The trip was fantastic and a big shout out to Beatriz on her coordination of the trip. Every guide and driver was always on time and did a great job during our visits to Northern Italy and Portugal. The hike in the Dolomites and the guided tour to the Douro Valley were two of the highlights of the trip. The choice of the hotels set up by Beatriz were perfect as well. Based on our experience with KimKim, I have recommended them to friends/family and we are working with KimKim on another trip in 2026.

Overall location was fine but for most activities in Lisbon it took 20+ minutes to get to many of the main areas and restaurants.

The hotel was a great location and the staff was outstanding. Great breakfast. The one minor issue, the temperatures outside were warm and the hotel rooms just did not cool down and the rooms stayed warm for all of our traveling party, even during sleeping hours.

Hotel Bon Encontre in Sarlat was lovely, especially the owner Christine and her marvellous breakfasts. I might have preferred somewhere where one could get more meals than breakfast, but you can't have everything, and Christine did supply wine by the glass in the evenings.

Our guide in Sarlat, Benoit, was also excellent.

Every day was absolutely perfect for us. Hotel locations were excellent, recommendations by Jane/KimKim were spot on. The one and only glitch was when we arrived at the airport, the driver wasn’t there. We phoned and they had planned for the next day. However they immediately came to retrieve us, so no major impact. Fortunately the weather was also perfect with the very first rain drops en route to the airport to leave. Thank you Jane, and I will definitely be using KimKim again in the future!
