Don't let the location fool you! Despite its specific location on what felt to be a very deserted alley, further complicated by Apple Maps' inaccuracy on how to get to it (Google Maps knows the correct location and will get you there, so use it instead), it was a very comfortable stay and very central to the heart of Marrakech. It made for a great home base from which to explore the market and maze of alleyways. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating!

A lovely little hike to a waterfall and then onward (upward) to the village for a delicious lunch overlooking the valley, offering yet another taste of the variety of terrain and culture that Morocco offers (especially in late December...solid Tibetan vibes at play). The one element that didn't quite meet our expectation, though not specifically a negative, was that we didn't actually each lunch with anyone from the family hosting it. The food was very delicious and the setting on the house terrace was comfortable with fantastic views, but we were a little bummed to not have the opportunity to talk more with the family hosting us. Nonetheless, it was still a very positive experience!

The Roman ruins at Volubilis were an absolute highlight of the trip. Our guide was excellent and provided a colorful history of the site.

Friendly staff. Chilly rooms in winter; would probably be nice in the heat of summer. Steep, narrow steps to rooms. Center courtyad with pool. Traditional family-style breakfast. Rooms are dimly lit with limited outlets - so you can charge your phone or have the light on.

Riad was clean and staff friendly. Challenging to find this riad in the Medina. Long walk for those with mobility issues. Narrow, steep steps for breakfast (served on roof terrace).

Beautiful, large riad. Exceptional grounds and attentive staff. We enjoyed massages in the spa. Dinner buffet was tasty and a wide variety of items. Bar served alcohol and was a cozy spot to hang out. Wish we had another night to fully experience this riad!

Fabulous staff; very clean. Rooms are nice sized. Excellent traditional Moroccan breakfast. We had dinner there one evening and it was also very tasty. Larger riad so the feel is more like a hotel. Laundry service available and always a staff member to help if you need something.

Positives: Very clean. High quality linens and towels. Rooftop with chaise lounges for enjoying the sun. Very friendly staff. We departed before breakfast so no comment on food. Negatives: Rooms were very cold. We arrived for check-in at 2 pm and hoped to have dinner at the riad. Lots of advertisement on the riad site about their delicious dinners. We were informed that the request for dinner must be made 'earlier.' I would suggest that be communicated to guests before their arrival. Also, the rooms all had the faint scent of dirty water - perhaps how the linens are washed or maybe just dampness?

Really fun overnight experience! Fireside entertainment after dinner was super fun. Dinner served family style - mix of Moroccan foods. Tents were warm and comfortable, despite the cold. Hot water was inconsistent, but for one night it was do-able. Camel trek to camp was a unique experience!

Long travel day but with several stops. Interesting to see the varied geography.

Abdul is an excellent driver.

Our guide was super friendly with a great sense of humor. We enjoyed seeing the majority of sites around the city - palace, kasbah, mausoleum, historical tidbits. A nice change from walking through medinas.

Really interesting tour of Fes - artisans, weaving demonstration, tannery and sites within the medina.

Good tour of Marrakech highlights. We definitely felt pressure to purchase from the shops our guide visited.

This evening tour was a lot of fun to see the medina/market in the evening. Many stops on this tour so go hungry! My one concern is that the stops need to be vetted for health practices. 2/4 in our party experienced serious stomach issues following this tour. There were a couple of stops with very sketchy food preparation standards. The visit to the spice shop was excellent. We really enjoyed learning about the various spices and uses.

This was a highlight of our trip - Volubilis is an amazing site. Despite poor weather (cold and rainy), it was an incredible place to visit. The guides at Volubilis and Meknes were both wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed this day. Having visited Roman ruin sites throughout the world, the level of intact mosaics was exceptional.

the breakfast is very good

Celcine, was wonderful. She took us to crystal cove and then snorkeling. It was a fun day.

This excursion was interesting in Taal, but we were unable to go to the volcano because it is active. John and Ana did make a few stops so we could get a better look.

This was a highlight of our trip. We all enjoyed this fun sunset sailboat trip. It was not what we expected, but it was 100 times better than what we expected.

Alan our tour guide was wonderful. He knew I didn’t swim very well so he let hold onto the life preserver and took me around to see all the fish and coral. On our last snorkeling stop he led my husband and daughter to see multiple sea turtles.

This excursion was wonderful and one of our favorite memories. It was relaxing and peaceful along the river. The waterfalls were beautiful. Our tour guide was very friendly.

The most beautiful view you could imagine. The hotel, like most hotels in the town, or a little further from the center then you might expect but it was not at all inconvenient. We walked in several times but also there are taxis. Property isn’t fancy but it is clean, family friendly, and perfect for a trip to Patagonia. Highly recommend!

Excellent hotel! 7 minute walk to town with a pool and clean modern rooms. The buffet breakfast was really good and dinner options were delicious.

This is an absolute must. The overall experience is fantastic. The boat is clean with great Internet service and the views are unbelievable. They take you to a restaurant in the park for lunch and bring you right up to the glaciers. The trip from town is surprisingly short so it does not become a very long day.

I think if I was given the option I would have elected for a private boat tour of the lake.

Good place to stay. Everything close by. Walking distance. Great Breakfast. Enjoyed overall.

Fanstastic Hotel, Good CHaracter. Excellent breakfast. Good Lcoation. Best place to see Northern Lights due to Darkness and no light pollution.

Relatively new Hotel. --- Great Rooms -- Ok breakfast -- Dark behind the Hotel to see the Northen Lights -- Still new so they are figuring out things. -- Need coat hanging place, Drying place and need more hooks in bathroom to put towel etc.

- Good floorpan, closer to beach and dark at night to see the Northen lights. - No breakfast - No Restaurant - Poor customer service.

This was a great experience. We learned a lot about the history. The tour was the perfect amount of time not too long, not too short.

The experience was incredible! Starting with picking the vegetables in the garden to cutting them and making our own Greek salad. The food was absolutely exceptional!

Hot springs pools are fun to use. The hotel is directly facing the volcano ( although the clouds cover the volcano most of the time…) Great birding location! Room is outdated and felt cheap. About 10-15 minutes drive from the town. No other restaurants within walking distance.

The white water rafting experience is awesome and one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended

Anna the chef was wonderful. Very hands on and interactive. Lucas our guide was the best! Ask for Anna.

Lucas had our fast pass tickets so we didnt have to stand in line. Gave us cool tips for pictures and drinks.

Our guide tailored this experience for our family. We experience Santa Maria, a sweet little town on the hill top. It was fantastic.

This was one of the highlights of our trip - exceeded expectations. The cultural experience was interactive, food delicious and singing/dancing amazing. Highy recommend.

Very convenient if taking an early flight. Nice hotel with large rooms, heated bathroom floors, and an excellent breakfast. Dinner at the hotel was more than adequate.

This is a new hotel and was beautiful. Again, the rooms were too hot but the windows could be opened. The bathroom was strange but functional. Ironically this was the nicest hotel that we stayed at but it was the only one without heated bathroom floors. The hotel is near many restaurants and attractions. The breakfast was amazing.

Nice hotel with wonderful breakfast. Good location with lots to do within walking distance. The rooms were very small. We had 2 rooms and the one that was for our 3 teenagers was definitely too small for 3 people. The rooms were toward but the windows were able to be opened. Heated bathroom floors!

We had a beautiful suite here. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great. The location was perfect with lots of attractions and restaurants within walking distance.

I would not recommend doing the Norway in a Nutshell trip on 12/27 and taking the train from Bergen to Oslo on 12/28. This is the one thing about the trip I'd change. We'd much rather have had a day to explore Bergen (12/27) and then on our last day (12/28), had our luggage transported to Oslo while we did the Norway in a Nutshell trip. We met some other people who had their luggage transported to Oslo while they did the day trip. I would NOT have wanted to drag my luggage all day in the Norway in a Nutshell trip. That would have ruined the day. Also, our nicest hotel was in Bergen and it would have been nice to actually eat breakfast there (it didn't open until 8 and we had to leave 1 morning at 8 and the other day at 7:45), or just enjoy time at the hotel.

Beautiful to see the fjords from the water. The train ride from Flom was also quite scenic. It's a long day without much activity.

Beautiful views

We went up to the top of the mountain to watch the sunset which was really neat. It was quite crowded to take the funicular back down the mountain. Unfortunately it was 12/26 and most of the shops were closed.

This was a great experience. My daughter found it on TikTok and I asked Kimkim about it. They have a small outdoor hot tub, 2 indoor saunas and and indoor spa as well. There were only 7 of us booked at the time we attended and that's all I would recommend. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to move throughout the activities at your own will. We also did a cold plunge from the edge of the boat into the arctic water- invigorating!

We didn't get to do this experience but w went snowshoeing with the huskies instead. It was so much fun! The guides were great and we had a lot of fun despite not having much snow. It was a little bit long- after the snowshoeing we went to a small hut for a piece of cake and a hot beverage. Being there for 15 min (instead of an hour) would have been plenty.

Amazing! We happened to be there for a strong night of Aurora. Eventhough we weren't given the right place to embark the ship. we made it to the ship in time for sailing. The Aurora was everything I hoped for. Amazing!!!

Our plane was late as was our taxi. We didn't have time to explore this day. We walked to dinner. Unfortunately all the stores were closed during our time in Tromso due to Christmas.

This one was ok. Nothing special about the food or the view. Seemed too long.

Christina was an excellent guide. We saw a lot of sights and learned some history. She inquired about our interests before we set off so she could speak to those on our tour. It was a fun morning.

Our plane was late and the taxi driver was also late which didn't give us much time. We walked to dinner which was nice- slippery!

Loved the location of this hotel. We were in the old town so the area was fascinating to walk around. All felt very authentic. We could walk to the river to catch the public transport boat and tons of restaurants around.

Such a unique location - on the river. The room was unbelievable - and the views from our porch, especially as the sun set with the lights twinkling was beautiful. Lovely restaurant too - good breaky and dinner.

The family that runs this hotel is beyond delightful! So kind and helpful, offering great service. I think it might be hard to stay here if you didn’t have transportation but we did. The pool was lovely and the room very comfortable. A lovely breakfast and beautiful grounds!

This was another really unique experience! And Nui made it even better by having us try all kinds of different foods in the market itself. The boat trip through the river and canals was so interesting - really allowed us to see another part of Thai culture.

What a place! If you get a chance to stay here - do it! A beautiful, serene, and truly unique spot! And the boat ride getting to and from was a blast!

Hellfire Pass was really beautiful countryside but also a really moving piece of history. Walking down along the actual railed and seeing the cliffs of rock that prisoners had been forced to dig through… Plus many prisoners’ families have left motes and pictures so there was a really personal touch.

I didn’t know very much about Kanchanaburi, the Death Railway or its history, but I am so incredibly glad that this got included. This was a suggestion by George, our Kim Kim Thailand expert. It was a fascinating dive into a part of WW2 history and was also incredibly moving. The cemetery and the museum were very well organized and explained a lot about the events. And then to board the train and actually travel a section of the railway - was incredible! And this is not a tourist train - this is a real train with wooden seats and so much character that travels part of the same route as the Death Railway. At one point, because of a bend, you can actually see one of the trestle railway bridges that had been originally built by the prisoners.

This was our first day of seeing ruins of some of the Ancient capitals of Siam/Thailand. Again our guide Naa, was super knowledgeable. I am a history lover and was either listening intently to her talk or peppering her with questions the whole time. So interesting! From the clay ovens at the beginning to the ruins themselves. And riding bicycles around was brilliant! Allowed us to go at our own pace and stop wherever we wanted.

Wat Phra That was probably our favourite temple. A beautiful hike up and then there it was - nestled among the trees by a river. Nothing ostentatious- but surrounded by nature. Beautiful in its simplicity! Doi Suthep Temple is grand! It was our first big temple and so ornate! Beautiful view of Chiang Mai and many little tidbits of history and culture.

Another amazing meal with the incredible backdrop of the river and its monuments all lit up. This was by far our most expensive meal but the food was delicious and honestly, the views made it really special. It was a wonderful night!

This was an absolute highlight! 17 food stalls in 3.5 hours! Against the fascinating backdrop of Bangkok’s Chinatown. The food was delicious and the atmosphere electric! Highly recommend!

Another awesome hike! Our guide, Nui, suggested we hike all the way up and then, on the way down, stop and swim at the various waterfalls and it was definitely the way to do it. The various falls are all really pretty and being able to jump in and swim, with fish nibbling your toes, was quite delightful! And we saw monkeys!!!

The highlight of this evening was definitely the temple visits. Our guide, Tuk, was really knowledgeable about the history of the temples and also the cultural and religious aspects of Buddhism. She was so interesting! And also answered our many questions! We then had a meal together at the market and it was like chatting with a friend!

Great place to hike, with some stunning views once we got to the top. You do the actual hike with a guide from the national park, which we were grateful for!

Probably the best meal we have ever had! And the chef was incredibly personable and interesting, spending time with every table!

We really enjoyed the hike through the rice fields and into the areas with the village tribes. It was beautiful and really interesting.

This was a beautiful hike up to Wat Pha Lat and also one of our favourite temples. It was just so beautiful and in such a serene, nature-filled spot. We drove the rest of the way up Doi Suthep but were really glad we had hiked the first part.

Such a great day!!! The staff was incredible - funny, entertaining and taught us a lot about Thai food! And it was all delicious!

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is lovely and the employees are welcoming. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is well located.

This Pousada was great. It felt very authentic and quaint. The room was lovely and had a great view. There was a coffee break we enjoyed each day with tasty treats and the breakfast was also well supplied with homemade local food.

Windsor Plaza was fine. We stayed a few nights in a room facing the main street, and a few nights facing the side street. The main street room was pretty loud and we preferred the side street room. Dining options were nice and location was convenient. We had dinner there one night and room service another and both were decent. Main complaint was the construction. We had at least 10 power outages from the work. They had to shut down 2/3 elevators for most of our stay which meant taking the stairs several times.
