This is my first time using Kim Kim but it won’t be my last. Original travel and their amazing staff made our trip to Morocco one I will never forget. Ali planned the most amazing trip for us. Saiid provided the best support and service to us. And Ilyace, our incredible driver and guide, treated us like family. He was such a great driver and was incredibly kind and patient with my kids. The itinerary was a dream. We loved exploring the beauty of Morocco and were blown away by its development and it’s luxurious hotels. The tour guides were knowledgeable and amazing. We felt safe the whole time. We will always remember learning to cook Tagine in Marrakesh, watching the sunrise on a hot air balloon, riding camels as the sun went down in the Sahara, seeing my kids try all the delicious food Fez had to offer on a rooftop restaurant, waking up to sand board and then ATV in a sandstorm, and so many many more memories.

The Conrad Rabat is one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in. We were treated like royalty. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The perfect accommodations for a family of 4 or more. The sushi restaurant overlooking the ocean was spectacular. The infinity pool with stunning views was something we truly loved. Oh and the breakfast and service, wow just wow.

The staff was wonderful. One of the staff went above and beyond and helped teach us to sand board. Our kids had an incredible time on the camels and dancing/ singing at night. We will never forget our stay in the desert. The accommodations were spacious and the water although a bit cool was absolutely perfect for cooling off in the desert. Only recommendation I would have is to have a family tent as our kids were scared to stay alone in their own tent and slept with us.

The service was amazing. The staff was so kind. The hotel looks like it is straight out of a movie. Truly beautiful and authentic. Our balcony had some of the most incredible views ever of the Atlas Mountains. The only negative was the bed was a bit hard and the dinner buffet was expensive and not too bountiful.

A Family's Guided tour of Fez

Wow! I loved this tour. We learned so much. Our guide was amazing and made us feel comfortable and safe the whole time. We loved our itinerary and he took us to the best rooftop restaurant on Fez. He initially had other plans for us for lunch but was extremely accommodating in that we wanted to eat outside. He adjusted to our likes and I appreciated that so much.

Our guide was great. We really loved Rabat and learned a lot about it. It was a really enjoyable morning. The only thing we would not recommend was the restaurant we ate in Rabat. We had a fantastic experience in Argentina - such an incredible country with such warm people and incredible landscapes!

They were available on text for any change in schedules, other issues and we always felt we were in good hands.

Wow what an amazing experience Anna designed for us to discover the breathtakingly beautiful Norwegian landscape. We had a wonderful time discovering the stunning Fjords, towns and villages between Oslo and Bergen. Flåm is truly the gateway to the Fjords. The Fjord Safari and Tasting experience was fantastic and you felt the majestic power yet tranquil and peaceful presence of the Fjords, water and waterfalls. The Ferry to Bergen was very relaxing and comfortable and took as through the longest Fjord. Bergen is a beautiful and buzzing city with its harbour, mountain views and lovely old town. Our trip to Rosendal was again stunning through the Hardinger Fjord onto the pretty village of Rosendal. The train trip between Oslo and Flåm and Bergen back to Oslo including the Flåm Railway had spectacular views and was very comfortable. A great and highly recommended experience all round. Anna was a delightful to work with to organise the trip she did an amazing job together with the team at KimKim. Thank you for a very memorable experience for our family.

Ole Bull Hotel & Apartment

The hotel was on a great location on Ole Bulls Plass, however the hotel was run down and under renovation. Many things did not work in the apartment with limited facilities. The shower head in the bathroom was broken and there was not much to use to make coffee or other amenities for our stay. Our first night as a Saturday and there are many clubs around including in the building with partying all night. We appreciate that sometimes this happens, but the combination of the noise and the apartment being cramped and tiny made it hard to enjoy. The only saving grace were the wonderful staff who were lovely and very hospitable - they were trying to make a difficult situation as pleasurable as they could.. Not a place I would recommend.

It was walking which is the best way on a beautiful sunny day

What a fantastic experience from start to finish! Bea planned a perfectly paced trip for our family of three and was incredibly responsive to questions, suggested itinerary changes etc. We got to experience so much while still having plenty of down time to wander.
The guides she arranged were excellent- friendly and so knowledgeable. Tiago provided an unforgettable day in Sintra and Emanuel was the perfect guide for the national park.
Bea (and when she was away her colleague Helena) were very helpful and flexible when I had an unexpected medical issue, which changed our itinerary a bit.
All in all a fabulous trip!

We started to plan our 10-day trip to Iceland shortly after the start of 2023, and we returned to Kimkim having had great success with them before. Terry was assigned as our guide, and after all of the updates, adjustments, and changes we requested, she came through with an itinerary that exceeded our expectations. Terry also kept up with us during the trip, responding to our occasional inquiries and offering assistance as needed. She successfully managed six travelers, and some of us plan to return to Iceland in the next year or two, ‘taking Terry along as our guide’ for that adventure, too.

Our trip took us through the southern regions of Iceland, the Golden Circle, and to the west on the Snaefellsness Peninsula. We visited the variety of sites expected, from waterfalls, to glaciers, to beaches, to lava landscapes, to mountains, to snorkeling, etc. Everything was stunning; not enough can be said. On our next visit, though, we likely will slow things down a bit to make the most of the key sites rather than trying to capture the full diversity that is available. The people we met were kind and welcoming, and always willing to help us when we had questions or concerns. Food was fantastic, as well. The quality was exceptional at nearly all restaurants, and vegan and vegetarian options were always available. We can say more, but perhaps it is most relevant that we plan to return. Thank you, Terry, for your help in making this a tremendous trip for all of us.

This hotel was perfectly adequate with easy parking and good location for getting around. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue was the quality of tap water; the hot water had a sulfur smell. It was not terribly bad and the water was safe to drink, but we never encountered this at any other place during our trip.

The Silfra Snorkeling was a unique experience and I'm glad we did it. The dry suit is quite an experience if you have not used one before, and while not comfortable, they work well in the cold water. The guide was great and took great care of us. We are not sure we would do this again, although one of our group would consider a scuba tour.

Our trip to Mykonos, Santorini, Crete and Athens was fantastic. The itinerary was a great pace and the transfers were seem-less. The drivers were safe and timely and the guides were knowledgable and definitely added to the understanding of the history and the people of Greece. If we ever had a question or needed clarification Mariliza got back to us quickly and efficiently. The acropolis tour and the food tour in Athens were excellent. Our hotel in Chania was very special. I found the planning to be very accurate to our preferences, We enjoyed the trip and used our time in a very efficient manner. We did not meet Mieke but had very fast response when we needed.
There were a couple of small details: upon arrival our at midnight our taxi was not the one or the type of car that was informed. Anyways we did not have a problem with that. The hotel in Rotterdam did not have a paid reservation. We had to pay but were reimbursed 2 days later.
I think the cost was bit high, that’s why I am not giving 5 stars, but still think that it was valuable because we made the most of our time.

This trip was absolutely amazing and checked off all the boxes we wanted! First off, Fabio can’t be recommended enough. He was professional, made traveling easy (even for first timers) and created an overall once in a lifetime experience. We really felt like we got to experience a deep dive into all the food and culture Italy has to offer. From the history in Rome to the vineyards in Tuscany to the waters of Venice, Fabio’s recommendations never disappointed! The top of the list were definitely the Vespa tour through the Tuscany hills, the cooking tour, the Vatican tour (would highly recommend as early as possible) and of course our wedding photos in beautiful Lake Como! If we had any hiccups throughout the trip he would graciously help and have solutions for us in no time. I’d also highly recommend food tours to start off each city, we learned so much about each area through the food and got a lot of inside information about where to go and what to see during our stay there. Fabio did an outstanding job with helping us with both with a 4nt land tour as well as day tours during our cruise in Italy ports of call. He was a great communicator, listened to what our needs and wants were and put together an itinerary that was perfect for us. He was always available when I needed him while we were in Italy and he always had constant communications with our drivers and their locations. I was SO impressed and will be using Fabio again!!

The planning process was done well in advance with Eline. She was open to our requests and made the changes to adjust the program according to our preferences.
However, a few things could be improved which worth to be mentioned in favor of future travelers.
1. The lodging in Flam was sold out at the time of our planning, back in April, therefore we were booked in a Gudvangen hotel, 20 km away from Flam by road. After about a 7-hour (amazing) train journey, we realized would have to travel to the hotel, check-in and return the morning after to Flam to board the fjord cruise before 9:00 am. Then, sailing to... Gudvangen and back to Flam where the cruise ended. Now what? Take the bus to return once again to Gudvangen hotel and back to Flam in the morning. Five times doing the travelling between both sites, twice by boat, three more by road.
Thanks to Julia, the "emergency girl", who found a (tiny) accommodation for 2 nights in Flam, a last minute and very welcomed option to the original plan.
2. We were not given the option to fly from Bergen to Oslo (50') instead of 7 hs by train. It was our last day in Norway, what means we missed half day we could use in Oslo. A point to be considered as well.
Otherwise, everything worked to perfection. Tickets, reservations, suggestions, places, not a single problem arise.
All in all, we are happy we have planned this trip with The Kim Kim team.

We really appreciated having KimKim and Silvia help us navigate our best options in Iceland while traveling as a family. We were able to see a wide variety of landscapes on our trip through a thoughtfully planned route but didn't feel like we were driving all the time. And it was very helpful to have Silvia on hand when we had questions as we navigated traveling with a toddler and last minute needs. Thank you, thank you, thank you Silvia for a WONDERFUL trip. With our busy schedules we would have never had the time to research Iceland and understand what locations and restaurants and lodging would work well for a family. We enjoyed every moment of our trip from Bergen to Oslo with stops in Ullensvang and Aurland along the way. Mathia planned every detail of our trip perfectly. It was truly flawless. Highlights included hiking up Mt Floyen and Stoltzekleiven in Bergen, cruising the gorgeous Hardangerfjord to Rosendahl, hopping off and on local buses as we traveled to Ullensvang, hiking the Dronningstein and stopping at the cidery in Loftus on our way down the mountain, more local bus travel and a visit to Aurland before taking the Flåm and Myrdal railways to Oslo for our final weekend. Again, Mathia planned our trip to perfection from the hotels to the travel details, ferry & train tickets, etc. We loved Norway and would happily return. We highly recommend KimKim and will definitely use this company for future travel destinations.

Both a fascinating and exciting journey through four Balkan nations, Serbia, Bosnia-Hercegovina , Croatia and Montenegro. After months of planning and adjustments with my excellent local specialist, Anna-Maria, the trip very much lived up to what I hoped for, getting to see most of the places I had planned to see and activities I had been interested to do including the hiking in Bosnia-Hercegovina. Learned a lot of history of the region from the guides, including Marko in Belgrade and Suzi in Sarajevo. In a region divided by recent conflict, what was so good about the guides was the different perspectives of the recent history. The highlight being a guided tour of the Siege of Sarajevo by Adnan Hasanbegovic, a veteran of the siege who showed me the tunnel of hope dug under the airport. Having been involved in the conflict as a both a civilian and a soldier, his account was so vivid, including the struggles he and many other experienced. From a conflict out of which so much hatred arose for the different nationalities involved, what was so impressive about Adnan's tour was how he had sympathy for those who he fought against, including the Serbs, as to how they were drawn into the conflict and for what they also suffered. Something which he said he found helpful in his work post-conflict focusing on reconciliation, during which me met many others who had survived conflicts.

Sarajevo itself was probably the highlight of my trip, being so full of diversity in terms of architecture and food, bringing together the best of its legacy being at the crossroads of the Ottoman Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. I especially enjoyed the Turkish areas and most of all, the Bosnian Coffee. The hikes in Bosnia-Hercegovina were amazing. I had previously done the Seven Lakes trek through Slovenia with KimKim, which was a fantastic experience. but in Bosnia-Hercegovina though, there was a feeling that the nature was so much more untouched. This was especially evident on the Lukomir trek, visiting Bosnia's last traditional nomadic village where life has changed little in five hundred years.

Some much more natural beauty and historical sites were found in between Belgrade and Sarajevo and in between Sarajevo and Dubrovnik, including Tara National Park (the Lungs of Serbia), the Ottoman bridge in Mostar, the stunning Kravice Waterfalls and the two highlights the Dervish House at Blagaj and a ride on the Sargan Eight Railway. So much fantastic variety with great insight provided by guides Stefan and Abdul.

And the excitement didn't end there, the ride on the replica 16th century galleon Karaka was great fun, seeing the beauty of the Eliphate islands before a trip to Kotor in Montenegro the next day. The crew on Karaka were so fun while Montenegro guide Dejan was so knowledgeable, giving lots of great tips for photographers. All people involved in making this trip were so helpful, from specialist Anna-Maria who did a fantastic job finding great accommodation in all three cities I stayed in (especially the apartment in Dubrovnik's Old Town) , Marko in Belgrade, Stefan between Belgrade and Sarajevo, Verda on the Lukmir trek, Suzi and Adnan in Sarajevo, Abdul between Sarajevo and Dubrovnik, the Karaka crew and Dejan in Montenegro. All were so friendly and so hospitable. Natural feature that best reflected this though, was visiting the heart-shaped lake at Sutjeska National Park on the border of Bosnia and Montenegro, led by guide Jasmin. It truly opened my heart to the region and its people, as well as what they have largely come through following a difficult recent history.

The first two lodges we stayed at, Leroo La Tau lodge and Xugana Island Lodge were fantastic with the staff members delightful, helpful, and providing excellent service. We saw beautiful wildlife and enjoyed the beauty of the Botswana landscape for the 8 nights of our trip. We did book this trip last minute and Lize, our local specialist, worked hard to ensure we had luxury accomodations for 4 adults. However, there was a lot of misinformation provided in the finalized itinerary as if the descriptions were just copy and pasted into our itinerary; thus leading to an experience of unpersonalized trip planning and also confusion when checking into our lodges of what was actually paid for/included. For example, information about one lodge said we were booked for a 4WD safari, but the lodge only does water-based activities. As another example, the finalized KimKim itinerary said "private group" for some activities but we were actually in a "small group" so it was unclear if we paid more for private and yet were put in a small group. More attention to detail in the trip planning itinerary would have been appreciated. Additionally, providing more options with details (e.g., so we could have compared pricing, activities, etc.) before finalizing bookings would have been good. For example, two or three lodge options (with details on each lodge) on where to stay for each night would have been better than just providing one option before booking because we were unaware of which lodges were in the area and who KimKim partner lodges are.

There were 8 of us (my husband and I, our 2 grown children, my in-laws and brother and sister-in-law). We gave Eleni a few suggestions of places we wanted to go and things we wanted to do, and she took it from there. She and Mariliza booked all of our hotel reservations, tours and transportation. From the time we got off the plane in Athens until we departed two weeks later, everything was seamless. Our tour guides were all extremely knowledgeable and friendly, our drivers were prompt and courteous, and the hotels that they selected were top-notch. A few highlights: our stunning view of the Acropolis from the Electra Metropolis hotel, shopping in Hydra, lunches at Safran in Ios, and a sunset catamaran tour in Santorini. It was a perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxation, and Eleni and Mariliza were extremely helpful, flexible and professional. I was originally planning to make the arrangements myself, but I am so grateful that my daughter found KimKim online. It wouldn’t have been the same without their expertise and guidance.

Very unique property (it used to be a monastery) , conveniently located right in Fira. The manager, Lea was so helpful and friendly. The infinity pool area was very nice and had a beautiful view, and the breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options. The fresh-squeezed juice was a favorite for our group.

Absolutely stunning property! The staff was so friendly and welcoming (Eleni is so sweet!). The sunset views were breathtaking. It was a short walk into Chora, the main town, but very quiet and relaxing. We had a great dinner at Grandma’s restaurant (on property) and enjoyed sunbathing at the infinity pool. The breakfast was amazing. In addition to an extensive buffet, there was also a menu of options that you could order from. We stayed in a suite with a bedroom upstairs for us, and sleeper sofas downstairs for the kids. It worked out perfectly!

The highlight of our trip! Evie and Eleni were fantastic. They took us to the red beach and the white beach to swim and snorkel (the water was crystal clear!) and then around the volcano. They made us a delicious dinner on the boat, and then the wind picked up so Evie raised the sails and we sailed around for about an hour before we watched the sun set. It was a perfect way to end our trip.

Another awesome tour in Santorini! This day we visited Museum of Prehistoric Thera, and then went to Akrotiri, an active archaeological dig site of an ancient fishing village covered by a volcanic eruption thousands of years ago. Our tour guide, Tonia, was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the ancient civilizations. From there we visited Perivolos Beach and had an amazing sushi lunch at Forty One. We were supposed to go to Profitis Elias Mountain, but since we had done that the day before, we opted to spend some extra time at the black beach. The restaurant allowed us to use a few of the lounge chairs for free, since we had eaten lunch there, which was really nice. We went to another winery for a wine tasting (not sure of the name, but the views were stunning!) and then back to the hotel.

This was a great way to get familiar with the island. The first stop was Koutsogiannopoulos Wine Museum. It was a little cheesy, but it was very informative and we learned about the history of winemaking on the island, then sampled a few of their wines. Our general impression was that they were good, but we didn’t love them enough to buy bottles to bring home. We visited the town of Megalochori, walked the cobblestone streets and visited ancient cave dwellings. Our next stop was Profitis Elias Mountain (the highest point in Santorini). There we visited a little church and bought products made by the monks at the local monastery. We tried caper leaves for the first time (delicious!) and bought some sun dried tomatoes to bring home. Elena poured us each a glass of wine and we drank it overlooking the entire island. Next, she took us to a restaurant where we had traditional Greek dishes on a rooftop while we watched the sunset. A perfect way to end the evening.

Eleni was so knowledgeable and friendly! The tour of the Acropolis was great. Because we were with a tour, we were able to enter the Acropolis from the back side and avoid the lines. From there, she took us to a cute restaurant for Freddo Cappuccino and orange cake. We walked around the city, visited a meat and fish market, and sampled olives at the local outdoor produce market. From there we visited Bougatsadiko Thessaloniki restaurant in Psirri for spanakopita. She offered to take us for souvlaki, but we were already stuffed and decided to head back to the hotel. It was a perfect way to see Athens!

We took quite an independent approach- limited guides (just one morning in Bergen with John who was great). However it was really good knowing Mathia was “there” ready to respond immediately to any queries or to communicate ahead for us such as when one of our scheduled buses was late. We stayed in really lovely hotels, saw amazing scenery, did some big hikes and had a fabulous time. We’re confident travellers but it was so good having initial ideas and guidance from Kim Kim in planning the trip. I’d definitely recommend the service
