We had an amazing time in Portugal and Spain. Patricia booked great tours, good hotels, and covered pretty much all our requests. We traveled for 38 days and her app to keep us informed and on track worked very well. Communication was constant throughout the trip. Will definitely use her again for our next Spain trip

The easiest trip I ever booked.
My original trip to Japan was canceled at the last moment (with another travel company) because Japan is still closed to tourists, and I really wanted to get away from work for a few days. It was so last minute, so I didn't think it would be possible. Luckily, I found Kimkim and they were incredibly easy to work with. After booking everything, I actually didn't think that I was done, I figured it would be more complicated, but it was soooo fast and easy to book.
They really included all the things I loved. I would 100% recommend this for anyone that wants to travel but doesn't want to hassle researching transportation, hotels, etc.

We also appreciated all the planning and organizing done by you with regards to all the details of the trip. On a scale of 1-10 I would give our KimKim experience a 10+++ and on that scale I would give our experience with you and Tailormade Andalucia a 10+++ too. The trip was a perfect blend of sightseeing and free time. All of the stresses of planning such a trip were assumed by KimKim and by you which reflected the benefits of working with someone who lives in the region and has the benefit of planning trips for tourists. Rocia from KimKim was in contact with us regularly during the trip to make sure everything was going well and she responded quickly any time we had a question. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our tours and found the guides to be exceptionally knowledgeable ( Ana, Filippo, Diego, Maria, Jose, Joaquin and Teresa). It was great to meet you and we loved the tapas tour with you in Sevilla. All of the hotels were fabulous and each unique in their own way. The Hotel H10s were great (centrally located and spacious) and we really enjoyed our stay in Ronda at the Hotel La Fuente de la Higuera and at the Hotel Fuerte Conil in Conil de la Frontera. The hike with Filippo in Costa Brava was a highlight as was the gorge walkway in Caminito Del Rey. Touring the Alhambra in Granada and the Alcazar in Cordoba were definitely take-away memories. If you ever took a big trip as a kid and your parents did all the planning and organizing and you got to go and have fun and just enjoy the trip, that would be how working with you and KimKim worked for us. I know we will plan future trips with KimKim and I have certainly recommended them to friends who are thinking about travelling. I would definitely recommend Tailormade Andalucia to anyone planning a trip to southern Spain. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Sam for planning our amazing trip.

This was a trip of a lifetime that was made possible by Peruvian Soul! Our main guide, Julio Quispe, was absolutely the best person to show us around Cusco. He is so knowledgeable about Incan and Peruvian culture and history. Julio is the most incredibly patient and sweet tour guide anyone can ask for. He anticipated our needs, gave us great advice for acclimating to the altitude, cheered us on during our hike, and always did it with a smile on his face. He constantly checked in on us to see how we were feeling and making sure we were having a best experience in Peru. Eddie, our guide in Machu Picchu was excellent as well. He was also very patient with us during our hike up Huyana Picchu. Our entire experience with the Peruvian Soul team has been an amazing one. Every detail thought out prior to us coming so that we could have an amazing memorable trip did not go unnoticed. We loved our experience!

Planning our trip with Sharon was effortless. She was extremely responsive and took care of our every question and concern. Our driver and guide, Hussein became like family. His excellent driving and language skills aside, he is one of the most compassionate, kind and caring human beings that I have ever met. He made our trip very special. I highly recommend Kimkim and especially Hussein. Moroccan’s are some of the nicest, accommodating people we have met while traveling. The country’s landscape is gorgeous with gorges, valleys and stellar panoramic views. Staying in Riad’s in the Medina’s is extra special. The food is excellent, albeit a bit repetitive. Other cuisines are available in larger cities and Hussein took us somewhere different when we had enough tangines. We did a 6 day immersion from Marrakech (city guide one day and hike/gardens the second - Dades Valley - camel ride and camp in the dessert and up to Fez for 2 days. Be prepared for a couple of LONG driving days. There is much to see and it’s hard to nap because you don’t want to miss anything. I would recommend getting an antibiotic from your doctor prior to your trip as we experienced traveler’s diarrhea although we didn’t drink tap water, we did consume all fruits and vegetables. They were too good to resist. Morocco is a country that bargains when purchasing items. Be prepared. We had separate guides for Marrakech, Dades Valley and Fez. We wished we could have had our Hussein for these excursions as well. Their English was very good and knowledge extensive but they clearly received a commission from specific shops. Some tours included an instructional demonstration of a specific craft which we very much enjoyed but typically lead to a gift shop and sales pitch afterwards. We have found this to be true in other countries and on other tours. This is how they make their money and it’s good to be prepared. It’s important to have a mind set of traveling to experience another culture and be prepared to not to have every creature comfort of home (lack of toiletries, subpar linens/towels, temperamental toilets or lack of toilet paper, no half & half for coffee). My favorite experience was having tea with a Berber family and seeing how they live, their daily routine and the “appliances” they use. The Medina in Fez was also a high point. Taking in the countryside and views during the drive and having conversation with Hussein about himself, the culture and norms from his perspective was also a highlight. Morocco is not to be missed, especially with Hussein and knowing that Sharon is an email away. Go and have a great time!

The fact that she lives in Greece made her planning and suggestions perfect for our group. Costa Rica was a wonderful experience for me! Yuliana did a wonderful job planning the itinerary with all of my interest. Even some excursions/tours were included in the reasonable price.
I will come back to KimKim when I would decide to return to Costa Rica.

This was my first time using kimkim and the service did not disappoint. My specialist Amalia was great. We told her things that we wanted to do and she planned those things for us as well as suggesting other possible options. All we had to do was show up everything was planned for us from the transfers to and from activities to ferry tickets between islands, airline ticket reservation between islands. We visited Athens, Mykonos and Santorini. We liked all the cities and the hotels that we stayed at. The view from our room in Santorini was breath taking. Everyone we interacted with on our trip to Greece was pleasant. I can see myself visiting Greece again in the future.

We had never been to Ireland - and needed more than someone to book hotels. We needed advice on where to go, what to see, car rental, etc... and most importantly... someone who would take the time to understand who we are and what we want re hotel vs. B&B, guided trip vs. self-drive, time for hikes, kayaking, etc. Kimkim Travel and Dean were outstanding in all regards. High points of our trip included - time to drive and stop and hike thru Sheeps Head Penisula, the Ring of Kerry, Dingle and Doolin... All breath taking and great fun.

Mieke provided us with a fabulous itinerary (Haarlem, Noordwijk, Leiden, Gouda, and Uithoorn) and carefully chosen hotels along the way. She accommodated us with many requests and some changes in the early days of planning this trip. Sebastian was very responsive to our needs regarding the bikes and GPS. The e- bikes provided were in excellent condition and fun to ride. Mieke arranged for transport of one rider on a day she did not wish to ride secondary to some physical concerns. We were very pleased with KimKim and I have told many friends about the company.

From the first communication with Megan on day 1 of planning our Moroccan adventure she was nothing but the best. She responded to every email inquiry, question, suggestion & concerns. She really was one of the best travel advisors we’ve ever worked with. We typically do not do tour groups or full planned itinerary traveling and Megan understood that and helped us build an incredibly independent structured itinerary that allowed us to see so much of Morocco in 10 days. She set us up with one of the best drivers ever in Hamid. He became a brother at the end of our trip. We couldn’t have felt more relaxed & safe driving throughout the entire country. It was one of THE best trips we have ever taken and it wouldn’t have been possible without the expertise of Megan & our driver Hamid. Very unique Glamping experience in the Agafay region. Very cool design and architecture of the camp. Very friendly staff and overall very easy to get to with driver. 🐪 rides on or off site. Some tents don’t have outlets for charging phones or accessories. So bring a solar charger or charging pad.

Amazing location in Medina overlooking the ocean along the old city walls. Staff is amazing. Some of the nicest staff I’ve ever experienced in a Riad. Ernest the owner is a lot of fun chatting with during breakfast each morning.

My experience working with Eleni was phenomenal. From the moment I first reached out to start planning the trip all the way through our departure from Greece she was responsive and helpful. Working with Eleni allowed us to have a highly customized experience which created a lot of joy for our trip. She not only put the big things in place like where we were going, but took into account all the little details that matter like what was the best time to go and making sure we had drivers to take us to and from all our tours. I didn’t have to worry about logistics and therefore I feel like I had an actual vacation. Eleni listened to our preferences and as a result we did amazing things like tour the village of our guide, Leo, in Naxos. We also were able to add in an extra few miles on our Caldera walk with Kostas which produced amazing views of Santorini. Since our trip included private tours we were able to focus on our preferences and do things like stop for gelato and spend more time at the beach and less time shopping. I didn’t know we could have this type of private, customized travel experience and I am so grateful that Eleni helped created the space that allowed us to focus on our time together and not on trip logistics. It was a magical week and Eleni was a big part of that.

This hotel was a slice of perfection right off of the beach. It is a new hotel and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Each morning we had a big breakfast prepared by Margherita that was phenomenal and we could see the water from our table. The rooms were lovely. The cabanas by the beach were comfortable and easily accessible. Anastasia checked on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed to spark joy. The hotel itself was great but coupled with the staff makes this place unforgettable. This hotel is quite special for all the right reasons.

Self-Guided: Scuba Diving in Santorini

I went on 2 dives with Atlantis Dive Center and both were amazing. I loved seeing an underwater environment that was different than what I had seen before. I have a lot of diving experience and worked on a dive boat at one point. However, most of the divers on the boat were new. This dive center did a great job with the less experienced divers. Really one of the most attentive and helpful centers I have seen in the sense of making sure everyone was safe and having a good experience

Hiking at the Edge of Caldera

This hike and the guide were trip highlights. Kostas took into account the kind of hiking we liked to do and added on to the hike to make it a little longer which was amazing. As a result we saw this 360 view of Santorini from Skaros. It was one of my favorite spots of the entire week. Kostas was our best guide because it didn’t feel like a scripted experience. He had a good balance of giving us information but also just talking as we walked along.

This tour was special because it was obvious Leo had a lot of pride in his island and wanted to show us all the good things it had to offer. We learned a lot about Naxos, but beyond that we got a sense of the culture. Leo was great about balancing his prepared stops with small ones we requested like getting gelato and buying our family olive oil from the village that is known for producing it. It was an exceptional day.

We went to Nepal in May2022, two families with kids. We organized the trip with Sangita who made the best suggestions for our itinerary. We visited Kathmandu and Bhaktapur with Vipin, our guide. He was fabulous, knew a lot from Nepal: culture, history and people. After that we flew to Pokhara were we had a different guide. In this case we were dissapointed with his knowledge, however the driver we got was very talktive and nice. We also stayed one night in Astam, it was nice but we wouldn't recommend it, Pokhara is much nicer. Our driver then took us to Chitwan were we stayed in the best hotel of the trip, plus the kids enjoyed a lot the safaris. Finally back to Patan that it was also very nice. Vipin met us there again for dinner and last visits.

We would definetly recommend Sangita and her agency. They were very helpful, giving tips and suggestions, replying quickly to all of our mails and adapting to our requirements.
We hope to come back again!!!

Our trip to Sicily that Sonia set up for us was first class all the way. From the drivers who picked us up at the airport in Palermo to every hotel Sonia booked for us. Our itinerary was the perfect balance of scheduled events and free time. Our hotels were perfect, and included boutique hotels in interesting locations. Also included were interesting attractions we may want to see on our own.

It is comforting to get off the plane and see your concierge holding a card with your name on it, and meet your driver to be whisked off to your hotel. Every meeting point in every town went off without a hitch. We loved Marco who drove us for 3 days. He was like family by the end.

One of the highlights from our trip was a cooking class in Palermo. It was a fantastic experience with hand on shopping in the market and cooking with Chef Michael of The Sicilian Pantry.

I would not hesitate to use KimKim for any trip in the future!

Who knew pasta could be this easy?! Chef made accommodations for a member of our group who was vegetarian. He was a good instructor and we came away with recipes to duplicate at home. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon cooking, and then enjoying our meal with wine pairings.

After cancelling multiple trips over the past 3 years due to covid and having spent months preparing for each of them, we needed someone else to do the heavy lifting and kimkim nailed it.

Rosa was so responsive and helped us update our itinerary to meet our exact needs. We used a pre-built itinerary to start with and changed a few things around for our particular tastes. It was a special relief to know that we could show up at a hotel or for transportation between locations and not have to worry about providing documents or proof of purchase. Everything went very smoothly.

We particularly appreciated our guide on the Hanging Bridges of Monteverde where got a rare look at the ellusive quetzal and bellbird. We also really appreciated the drivers, especially Christopher who went out of his way to adjust for our changing schedule and even booked us a covid check at the last minute.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience with Kimkim and plan to use them again.

I contacted KimKim late March 2023 regarding a dream trip we had hoped to take in 2020. We basically had to start planning from scratch. And, we just found we needed to go in May in order for this work with our son's internship. For a family who plans far in advance, we didn't if this was even possible. They contacted me right away and put me in touch with Samir who also contacted me right away. There was never a time when I had to wait on Samir. Any time I had a question, there would be a response back from him the next day. Samir was also very knowledgeable of the area, culture (providing advice/recommendation upon request regarding clothing, tipping, etc.) , and political climate/safety issues. THANK YOU SAMIR!! I should also know that ALL the tours arranged and guides were PERFECT!!

Just know that you will not be in the main town of Petra where you can walk around, etc., but the property itself is beautiful. Great for one night, but if I were staying there 2 nights I would be bored unless I booked a spa package at night.

Place was absolutely BEAUTIFUL in one of the most beautiful settings. However, if the sign didn't say "Dead Sea" I would not have known I was in the Middle East. American music was playing by the pool. Front desk also did a poor job checking us in.

This place is one of (if not the) most architecturally beautiful buildings in East Jerusalem. It is also conveniently located close to the Old City, great dining locations, and tour group meeting spots. The rooms were simple, but more than adequate. The breakfast each morning was one of the better ones we had.

We picked this place because the website implied they had self-service laundry. They don't - this service stopped because of COVID so we had to find a place, but that worked out fine.

A lot of things were closed because Sabbath started that evening. Watching what was going on that day was interesting, but we ended up finding First Station and had fun, but lively streets and markets were empty.

Trip to Masada & Qumran

I should have noted on the review the day before that our guide arranged our COVID testing perfectly so that the physician met us at the hotel. We passed! And crossing the border into Israel was a breeze. Masada was great, but the hike down is tougher than you think. Maybe it was the heat, or maybe we are out of shape. My guess is both were part of the equation. So thankful we didn't hike up but paid for the ride. We skipped Qumran. We were too tired and just wanted to get to Jerusalem.

Jaffa was great! I wish I had allowed more time for Haifa and Tel Aviv. I was focused on the older part of Israel and underestimated these two amazing cities. I guess I have a reason to return.

This day was the highlight of my trip. Part of the reason I wanted a 'free day' was that I wanted to go into Ramallah to see where my family grew up. Our tour guide was instrumental in helping me find both my parent's home and we even met a family member living in one of the homes. Everyone we met in the area was great!

We had a wonderful experience on our trip to Spain. It was great to experience the culture, language and diverse history of various locations in Spain. Marina was very patient and helpful during the booking process. She was able to quickly give advice when we missed our train in Madrid. I'd also like to recognize the efforts of Vanessa at the Petit Palace Puerta del Sol for her repeated efforts to find us dinner reservations. We had personal guides in each city and all added tremendous insight and knowledge to what we were seeing. Special mention to Linda in Madrid, Yolanda in Toledo, Elena in Segovia, Ferran in Sevilla, and Sergio, who spent all day driving us around Andalusia, on our day trip to Ronda.
