Our recent trip to Norway truly took our breath away. From the moment we landed in Bergen, we were surrounded by beauty — colorful wooden houses lining the harbor, crisp mountain air, and views that seemed painted by nature itself. The city’s charm and cozy atmosphere made it the perfect place to begin our Norwegian adventure.

Wishing we could remember our tour guide's name for our Cultural and Food Tour of Bergen. He did a great job and was very knowledgeable about the amazing history of Bryggen and the food was amazing that we tried during the tour.

The highlight of our trip, though, was the journey to Flåm. Traveling through the fjords and mountains felt like stepping into another world. The Flåm Railway lived up to its reputation — every turn revealed waterfalls, deep valleys, and autumn colors reflected in still waters. Our stay in Flåm was peaceful and unforgettable, with the sound of waterfalls echoing in the distance and the fjord glowing under soft autumn light.

Even in October, when the air was cool and mist lingered over the water, Norway’s beauty was nothing short of magical. Every view, every quiet moment, reminded us how powerful and pure nature can be.

We left Norway with full hearts, countless photos, and a deep desire to return. This country doesn’t just offer scenery — it offers an experience that stays with you long after you’ve left.

Lil in particular was fantastic, very caring, and did all the deterred to arrange a wonderful, spontaneous wedding renewal ceremony at Manakamana. The guides were amazing, we loved Barcelona Cooking and the Gothic quarter and Tapas walk! Such great memories were made, and no stress of planning!! The hotels were amazing, in great locations, and so friendly.

I have 2 complaints. First was the water taxi was 15 minutes late in Venice and we didn’t know if we would make our train. We tried to contact you, you didn’t answer. We tried to get another water taxi through the hotel and then the taxi you booked showed up, so we cancelled the hotel water taxi that was 80 euro. After we cancelled the hotel called Christine at least 5 times wanting a cancellation payment of 50 euro, that was ridiculous!

Second complaint, when we got to Naples we asked Marcello to take us to the best pizza place in Naples, as I wanted pizza there and it was lunch time. He repeatedly stated he was taking us somewhere for lunch after Pompeii and the place was great. We went along with it. Apparently he has a friend or a winery he likes there, he took us there for a wine tasting and food, while he ate in the other room and I’m sure he has a deal with them. Then at the end of the tasting I didn’t need after being in Tuscany for 4 days, they tell us it’s 75 euro per person. The people at the winery were great and Marcello was a good driver but I felt like he forced this on us, never stated what the cost would be and I wasn’t happy to say the least.

Other than those 2 things I’d say your planning was flawless, all of the other transfers were spot on and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip but I didn’t need to be aggravated by the decision of a driver who decided he was taking us to a winery that I’m sure he got a free meal at.

An on time water taxi for our transfer to the rail station.

When we got the opportunity to travel to Austrailia from the US, it quickly became overwhelming to take on my usual role as travel planner. One night, while poking around the internet, I ran into kimkim.com and it bacame apparent that this approach to travel planning would fit our needs perfectly.

I was enticed by the menu driven selection approach and the fact that I could interact via the internet at times that suited me. The list of options we were presented, as well as the option to say no to any of them and describe something that might suit us better made it very easy to cultivate the trip we were hoping for.

Vicky was amazing to work with, adjusting easily to our whims, giving guidance where appropriate, getting us taken care of from the foot of the cruise ship to our flight home. It took off so much pressure of having to figure things out on my own.

Vicky was quick to make adjustments in a couple of cases where we wanted to make the trip to the airport earlier. It was nice to know we had someone oncall in the event of a needed change. We appreciated all the other recommendations as well, restaurants and tips on visiting around the city if time allowed.

We enjoyed each of the accomodations we were booked into as well as having the breakfast option which allowed us to avoid starting our day with the first question being "what do we do for food". We could just get going on our travels for the day.

We really enjoyed each of the tours and activities we booked. They met or exceeded our expectations and we could not have been more satisfied.

Vicky did an amazing job and provided service that has and will be highly recommended by us!

It's was a little challenging to keep us all together on the crowded streets, but it didn't impact the beauty of the Cathedral, Art Deco architecture and Street Art areas. This coastline is unlike anything we've ever seen before. It was a beautiful drive on a beautiful day. Paul, our driver, was very interesting and happy to keep the conversation going. Loved the stops to get coffee, lunch and visit to the wildlife sanctuary and stretch our legs and the 12 Apostle Area was strikingly beautiful!

A great trip with lots of things to see. Nicholas was incredibly knowledgeable and if it didn't know an awswer, he had a bunch of book in the vehicle where we could find the answers together. He truly loves this place and all it's crazy plants & creatures. Who else serves morning tea and has lunch in the rainforest in such beautiful surroundings?! Amazing day in the Daintree!

When we struggled with a poor fitting mask, several of the crew worked together to resolve the issue quickly. They truly wanted each person to have an amazing trip. You can tell they love the Reef and their opportunity to show others.

Blue Mountains Wildlife Full-Day Sights and Hiking from Sydney

A long day of great stops. Enjoyed being up close with the animals. Views of the Blue Mountains were beautiful from all the stopping points along the way. The hike was challenging enough with great views and the botantical garden was amazing. The guide we had was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed all of the info she had to share. She did a great job of minding the traffic and giving out various tidbits about Syndey and each of the stops along the way. The lunch was great ... what a fantastic sandwich. I would certainly recommend this trip ... it is a really long day, but worth it!

Enjoyed learning the history of the creation of the Opera House. Didn't realize ahead of time, though it makes sense now, that you might not be able to view all of the presentation areas (or have to do it very quietly) due to practices taking place in the performance halls. The headsets proved invaluable and our guide was very knowledgeable.

We covered an amazing amount of ground on this tour. Loved the way Dave led, walking backwards and talking almost non-stop through street after amazing street! Started with lots of cool history of the Rocks and developing Sydney to the streets of today. Highly recommended!

Our guide was great! Covered a lot of ground with constant information. He even gave us ideas for an evening visit to Manly Beach, places to grab a beer and dinner, all which turned out to make for a great evening adventure.

Best guide ever!

Overall the trip was fabulous. For the most part all the places we got to experience were great. Of particular note was the back up support we got from Giorgia and her team. Anytime we had a question, concern, or just plain help, they were always there for us. We could not have done this trip the way we did with so much complexity and details on our own. We have been to Europe on our own before, but not for this long (45 days) and to so many locations ( I counted 31). Our tours were great with private tours more personal. We did enjoy all of the tours, of special mention these are the tour guides that made a lasting impression of the places they took us through. In Cinque Terre- Marta, Perugia -Michael, Pompeii-Alfonso, Matera-Vito, Valley of the Temples-Lorenzo. In looking back on accommodations, the stays we really enjoyed: Giardastelle Agriturismo- and Vinyard (Perseo Cottage), Park Hotel Argento Levanto, Hotel Ristorante Locanda Stella, Re-Federico Boutique Hotel. The one miss I should mention is B&B Il Leone Blu in Catania. This B&B was advertised as a 5 star, no way was barely comfortable, no lift leaving 3 flights of stairs to carry luggage. Breakfast was hardly passable and the location while close to central was gritty with lots of trash and graffiti. Catania itself is on the gritty side, however we really liked the city. Also worth while mentioning is estimation of driving time. Given unfamiliarity of the roads and frequent construction delays, you may need to add 30 to 60 minutes to drive times, depending on distance, in order to arrive on time. We didn’t rate the planning and booking a “5” due to the short time, approximately 5 days given to us to review the final plan prior to leaving. Again do to the complexity of this trip Giorgia did a great job, in addition she suggested places to go that turned out to be highlights of our trip, such as Matera.

Olman was very responsive, insightful and helpful. He modified plans to fit our needs and budget.

Our balcony had a view of Arenal and a show of birds every morning. One large negative is make SURE that they have no parties scheduled during your stay. They have a very LOUD party that left us sleepless and tired the next day. Very annoying, however still 4 stars because of the previous days.

Our trip to Greece was absolutely wonderful! Every detail was so thoughtfully planned — from the smooth transfers to the perfectly chosen accommodations, which were all above excellent. Each hotel and villa had its own charm and comfort, and every stop felt special.
The tours were perfectly suited to our interests — a great mix of culture, scenery, and local flavor. Everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy every moment.

This was a dream trip for us to get a good look at the Scottish Highlands, Orkney Islands, the Outer Hebredes (Lewis and Harris) and Skye as well as a caste of the Fringe in Edinburgh and a chance to discover Glasgow. Jane and Marine-Heloise were very adaptable in their planning and set it up for a smooth experience. Well, except for driving on the opposite side of the road, which was both exciting and terrifying.
We were able to enjoy some of the Fringe activities in Edinburgh once we figured out how it all worked. Then drove north thru the Highlands for Scotch whiskey, historical sites and geologic wonders. All the while staying at a variety of lodging and enjoying the fabulous weather (clouds, rain, sun and rainbows). They really put together a great trip.

This was a spectacular location on the water in a separate cottage. It was my wife's absolute favorite of the trip. It was an easy walk into town, had plenty of parking and breakfast was great. The unit was recently built and very modern inside but the view from the front patio (and large windows) was wonderful. We hope to stay there again.

Welcome to the Orkney Islands

Head immediately out for the Stenness Stone Circle and the Barnhouse Settlement, then head to the Ring of Brodgar. You will want to see them multiple times: in morning light and late afternoon to sunset. Also the village at Skara Brae. In Stromness, we ate at the Ferry Inn twice, good food, nice staff and good conversation. If you get to Kirkwall, eat at Lucano. Best Italian food on our trip and a good wine selection. Next trip we are likely to head on to the Shetland Islands for more exploring.

Three Isles Tour – Mull, Iona & Staffa

Beautiful trip out of Oban. We enjoyed the ferry crossing and bus trip across Mull - great scenery from the upper level! The ride out to visit Fingal's Cave was pretty choppy and the wave action was too strong for us to put ashore and walk to the cave. But staying safe was the first priority. Visiting Iona was the best part of the trip. Walking out and exploring the Abbey then stopping for a hand pie at St. Columba Larder was an unexpected treat. Finished with a glass of wine looking out over the water to Mull on a sunny afternoon. Here's another location we will plan for visiting again.

The overall experience was lovely.
Our driver was attentive and available. I understand that he is not a guide, but a bit more knowledge of the places we are driving by would have been helpful. Specially since during long drives, there were no guides with us & we passed a lot of interesting places. Once prompted he did tell where we were, but maybe a bit more espontenous info will be great.
All the accommodations were very nice. I had prefer to stay 1 night only at the Sahara desert camp, since it was not clear to me that we were not able to stay in the camp during the day and what was available to visit was quite limited. I did enjoy the Skoura hotel, that was a nice place to relax, after the long drive.
Also maybe look more into the places to eat when out on the road. Maybe there are not a lot of options, but it seems that the places chosen were more geared towards regular tourist, since the menus were limited and/or fixed price menus.
The guide we had in Fes, Moustafa, was excellent, my favorite of the trip.
You have a beautiful country & I enjoyed it very much!

I recently returned from a trip to France. Our local specialist, Sebastian, was quite helpful and understanding in planning our trip. He was sensitive to our interests and helped to maximize our days given what we wanted to see and do. His hotel recommendations were all centrally located providing easy access to walking and public transportation within the cities. The small group tours he chose were great and the local guides in each case were knowledgeable and made the experience that much better. This was the second time I have used KimKim and will definitely use them again.

Our trip to Milan and northern Italy was fantastic. I arranged the itinerary with Eirini over time, and she was most helpful and accommodating. All our guides were just great! In addition to being licensed and professional, they were all engaging and personable and knowledgeable--Laura in Bergamo, Eleanor in Brescia, Patrizia in Lake Como, Salvatore in Turin and Beatrice at the Palace of Venaria. We had no problems with train tickets and museum and ferry passes. The trip went very well, so I highly recommend Kim Kim, and will likely use them again. Thank you Kim Kim!

Our trip to Scotland was magical. Kate was very attentive, always quick to respond with questions and to offer alternatives to the itinerary. The pace was perfect and we hit every sight we wanted to see, with the exception of Nessie, she was not in view the day we were at Loch Ness!

Eridon was exceptional as a driver/guide. He drove us to Portree and made a few stops en route that were not on the itinerary, places that he thought we'd like, and we did! It was a long day, but one of the best ones. He was lovely and very knowledgable.

All the hotels were great, but Taransay House stood out. Our stay there included breakfast and dinner each night and the food was delicious. The rooms were immaculate and very spacious and comfortable but what stood out the most is how hospitable Murdo and his family are, he was there at the door to greet us upon arrival and we immediately felt like old friends. He helped us with mapping out routes, and finding a driver for us, by calling in a favor, when he learned that we had no transportation reserved.

As a note - in many of the more remote places in Scotland, Uber is not available and taxis need to be reserved (well) in advance. We didn't understand this and were caught out more than once when there was no transportation available. It would have been better (and easier) for us to have that done in advance, whether by Kate or on our own, as it was a bit stressful on the day to learn that we couldn't move forward with our plans due to lack of transportation.

Taransay House is a gem. Only four rooms, run by a family, includes breakfast and dinner. We have stayed at 5 star resorts all over the world, and Taransay House is on par. The rooms are immaculate, large and very comfortable, and the food is wonderful. The family that runs it are very special, we felt welcome immediately and when our stay was over, I didn't want to leave. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

We had a wonderful and memorable trip to Slovenia and Croatia. From the start of planning, months earlier, Marija was attentive, informative and responsible. One of the highlights of the trip was spending some time in person with her in Opatija. Oue guides were knowledgable and responsive, especially Vid in Slovenia, Anna in Split, and Stasa in Dubrvnik. There were so many highlights of the trip, it is difficult to remember them all. They include the private oyster and mussels lunch and many other meals - especially seafood, such as Puntulina and a restaurant on the island of Vis; there were trips to caves and castles; fascinating little hotels in the old towns of historic cities; and much more. We highly reccomend Marija to anyone who wishes to enjoy the wonders and joys of this region of the world.

Antonla's what's app link was reassuring and timely. You never felt isolated. The choices of accommodation were excellent.

Very smart old building ,formerly a bank.Excellent breakfast and free drink. A mix-up at dinner meant we had to eat out, but reception recommended a nearby Croatian restaurant which was superb. Hence best to use hotel for B&B. Room was comfortable. Good staff.
