The Private Local Market Visit & Cooking Class was hands-down the highlight of our trip! This experience was the perfect blend of culture, cuisine, and connection. Exploring the local market with our guide was so much fun—learning about fresh, regional ingredients and selecting the items we’d use later was an adventure in itself. The cooking class was equally incredible! The hands-on experience of preparing traditional dishes under the guidance of a skilled and personable chef was both educational and entertaining. Everyone in our group, from seasoned cooks to beginners, had an amazing time. The best part? Sitting down together to enjoy the delicious meal we created—it felt like a true celebration. This activity brought us closer as a group and gave us memories (and recipes!) that we’ll cherish forever. A must-do for anyone visiting and looking for an authentic, interactive experience!

The Private Guided Visit of Seville was a pleasant experience that gave us a great overview of the city’s rich history and stunning architecture. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared fascinating stories about landmarks like the Alcázar and the Seville Cathedral. The pace was comfortable, and the guide tailored the experience to our interests. While it wasn’t the most exciting tour we’ve done, it was well-organized and provided valuable insights into the city. A solid option for those looking to explore Seville with a local expert!

The Tapas & Flamenco Experience in Seville was just okay. The tapas were just a light snack, but not particularly memorable, and we felt the selection could have been more diverse. The flamenco performance was passionate and authentic, but the venue felt a bit cramped and didn’t quite capture the vibrant energy we were expecting. Overall, it was a decent way to spend an evening, but it didn’t stand out compared to other experiences on our trip.

The Portugal Scenic Trails: Sintra Coastal Hike was an absolute highlight of our trip! Our guide was incredible—thoughtful, attentive, and adaptive to our group, which included both older and younger travelers. They ensured the pace was comfortable for everyone while keeping the adventure exciting. The scenic views along the Sintra coast were breathtaking, and the guide’s insights into the area’s natural beauty and history made it even more special. The picnic was the cherry on top—a delicious and relaxing moment surrounded by stunning landscapes. This hike was the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and connection with nature. Highly recommend for groups looking for an unforgettable outdoor experience!

The "Get to Know Lisbon with a Local" tour was a great way to explore the city’s rich history and hidden gems. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, offering fascinating insights into Lisbon’s culture and landmarks. However, the pace felt a bit slow for our group, and there was a lot of walking, which might not be ideal for everyone. That said, it’s a wonderful experience for history buffs or anyone looking to dive deep into Lisbon’s story. Overall, an informative and enjoyable tour, but best suited for those who appreciate a slower, detailed exploration.

The Private Lisbon Culinary Food Experience was absolutely amazing! We savored authentic Portuguese dishes, explored local markets, and learned about Lisbon’s rich food culture from our fantastic guide. The highlight was a hands-on cooking session where we made traditional dishes and enjoyed them together. It was delicious, fun, and truly immersive—a must-do for food lovers in Lisbon!

The Create and Release Floating Lanterns & Riverside Dinner was a beautiful and serene experience. Releasing the lanterns into the night sky was magical and felt so special—it was definitely a highlight of the evening. The riverside setting for dinner was lovely, and the food was delicious. However, the activity felt a bit rushed, and there was some confusion during the setup for the lantern release, which took away from the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. With better organization and more attention to detail, this could easily be a standout experience. Overall, it was enjoyable but left room for improvement.

The Full Day Tour visiting a local school and paper umbrella painting was the absolute highlight of our trip! This experience offered such a meaningful connection to the local community. Visiting the school and interacting with the children was heartwarming—our group loved learning about their daily routines and sharing smiles and stories. The paper umbrella painting workshop was pure magic. Tapping into our creativity, we painted beautiful designs under the guidance of talented local artisans. It was both relaxing and inspiring, and everyone walked away with a one-of-a-kind souvenir to cherish. Our guide was exceptional, seamlessly blending cultural insights with engaging activities. This tour was more than just sightseeing—it was a hands-on, heart-filled day that left a lasting impression on all of us. Highly, highly recommend for anyone looking to dive deeper into the heart of Chiang Mai!

The Khantoke Traditional Northern Thai Dinner was a delightful way to immerse ourselves in the rich culture of Chiang Mai. The food was flavorful, showcasing authentic Northern Thai dishes, and the traditional dance performances were mesmerizing. The setting was beautiful, with a cozy, communal atmosphere. However, the service felt a bit rushed at times, and it was hard to hear the explanations of the performances from our table. The Full-Day Maeklong Railway Market and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market tour was an unforgettable journey into Thailand’s vibrant market culture. Watching the train pass through the Maeklong Railway Market was such a thrilling and unique experience! The floating market was equally captivating—gliding through the canals, shopping from boats, and tasting delicious local snacks was so much fun. Our guide made the experience even better with insightful stories and tips. This tour was a perfect mix of adventure and culture, and it’s a must for anyone visiting Bangkok!

The Full-Day Bangkok City Tour with Canal Tour was an incredible experience that truly showcased the city’s vibrant history and culture. We started the day exploring iconic landmarks like the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, both absolutely breathtaking. The highlight was the serene canal tour, offering a unique perspective of local life along the waterways. Our guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and attentive to every detail. The day was perfectly paced, with plenty of time to soak in each site. It’s a must-do activity for anyone looking to fully immerse themselves in Bangkok!

The Dinner Cruise on the Wonderful Pearl was a highlight of our trip! The views of Bangkok’s illuminated landmarks from the river were stunning, especially Wat Arun and the Grand Palace at night. The buffet featured a great variety of delicious Thai and international dishes, and the live music added to the elegant atmosphere. The service was pretty good. It was a perfect mix of relaxation and sightseeing, and our group left with unforgettable memories. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bangkok!

Zander K Hotel in Bergen was fantastic. The location was very walkable, and the flexibility and service were great.

Scandic Stavanger Park was decent. We initially didn't have towels in our room, but the staff quickly resolved the issue. The location was great, which made up for any minor inconveniences.

The Clarion Hotel The Hub in Oslo was fantastic. Everything was great, and it was definitely my favorite hotel during the trip. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore Oslo.

The Fjord Cruise to Lysefjord and Pulpit Rock was beautiful. Despite being a bit tired from the overnight train, the cruise itself was an amazing experience.

The fjord cruise was absolutely breathtaking. The Viking Valley was interesting and I’m glad we visited.

This was easily the most memorable part of our trip. John was informative and knowledgeable about the city and gave us great suggestions based on our interests. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with John!

beautiful property with stunning, spacious villas. a bit bare bones in the rooms themselves i.e no room phones, not many outlets, but i think that's part of the charm. be prepared to walk or have a buggy/car as it is a large property. The front desk staff is absolutely amazing and accommodating. they provided excellent recommendations for local dining and excursions. unfortunately we had no hot water for 2 days due to a gas outage in the town but that was not their fault and they had the gas team come out as soon as it was up and running to get us our hot water again. property is about 2 miles from center of town but lots of shuttles.

the little penguins are the best!! this was such a great experience. our guide stopped many times throughout our day to spot wildlife

we had a great time on this excursion. my husband and I both ended up with essentially private scuba/snorkel tours and my husband raved about his dive. there is alot to do on this tour with multiple options including scuba, snorkel, submersible viewing boat.

Bretts tours was great! he was super friendly, informative and it was a nice small group. the sky rail and train are a must do with great scenic views. the stop for a drink at a local spot in palm cove was a nice touch

Nice, intimate harbour cruise. the cruise takes you about 1 hr to a local spot on land for dinner, followed by a pre set dinner menu which was delicious and then a cruise back. definitely bring a jacket! crew on the boat was informative and very personable

The Arctic Lights Hotel is beautiful, the staff are warm and friendly, and I can not rave more about the restaurant. It was on par with a Michelin rated restaurant with the best food we've had! The sauna is free to use as a guest, just book a time spot with the front desk. Perfect location to walk around Rovaniemi.

So much fun! The warm donuts and hot coca hit the spot after a cold ride through the wilderness!

Such a fun experience! After the ride, we warmed up in the hut with sausage and cider!

Our reindeer adventure with Eanan was amazing! It's an indigenous, reindeer herder female owner business and her story of building and running it was fascinating. The reindeer ride and feeding the smaller reindeer will be something I'll always remember. While telling us stories inside the hut, Janita shared her delicious homemade cake with fresh picked berries that she had made that day and hot cocoa. What a dream!

Our aurora hunting tour guide, Antti-Emil was possibly the best in the business! He searched out the perfect spots to view the northern lights and an absolute professional at capturing the best photographs. He knew how to light us perfectly against the beautiful aurora backdrop and his editing skills are exceptional, a true master! 

Depends on your view of 5 star. For authentic accommodation in the Tiger Reserve it was great. Staff could not feed us enough, at any time we needed to eat. Food was amazing. Only consideration which I did not mind was that voices travelled from room to room easily as no glass in windows, just screen mesh. So when we talked at 3am in the morning about something, the neighbors heard us. I overlooked this and enjoyed everything else they had to offer and the beautiful authentic atmosphere. Plus 13 elephants and a baby elephant 1 1/2 month old, such a treat to see. Walking with elephants was amazing and these silent body guards were very good at their jobs. We saw tons of rhinos, plus babies, 4 types of deer and babies, 2 types of crocodiles, one extremely rare, many kinds of monkeys, birds etc. Plus a family of tigers and leopard tracks fresh, often over our jeep tracks within hours. I’m sure they were watching us all the time. Sam our guide was in touch with the other guides so we did not miss anything. The drivers did an excellent job as well. We so enjoyed sundowners with the elephants and the boat trip each day. Wonderful

Staff wonderful, breakfast amazing. Room clean and comfortable, but there was a tiny 2 inch step down into the bathroom. Trip hazard. I told the manager there should be a motion activated string of lights at the step. We kept tripping in and out of the bathroom, even though we knew it was there.

Staff excellent polite and accommodating, rooms modern, comfortable and quiet.

Average hotel. Location was good. We were able to se the coast within a short walk.

Worst hotel of the trip. No towels, soap. Portable fan was only air conditioning. Not what we expected.

The lunch at the lodge after rafting was fun! Americo was our raft guide and he as great.

Room was nice and breakfast was ok. The hosts are a little 'intense', but nice enough. Parking was a bit of an issue.

Having a hotel room that looks right out onto the lake was wonderful. Comfortable room and good breakfast provided. Good location.

A pretty basic hotel room. The scenery was beautiful but getting around the village and finding parking with all of the tourists was a little crazy. But couldn't have asked for a better location

This was one of our favourite accommodations. The renovation work and history behind it is beautiful. The best laid-out bathroom of all of our stays. Breakfast next door was great.

It may be ok if you have young kids as it is unique. As an older couple, it was very dated and needed some attention.

We lucked out in the fact that it was a beautiful sunny day after a rainstorm the day before. So there was still water in the waterfalls but clear skies so that you could see for miles. Enjoyed the catamarans (although it got a little long towards the end) and everything was run VERY smoothly. Good guides. Loved it.

Loved this! The scenery was beautiful, the guide was informative and there was just enough easy and hard biking to make it interesting.

Partly our fault. We had read the description of a different tour with a similar name. We thought we would be going on a tour of a sheep farm with a sheep shearing demonstration, etc. that included lunch and wine and all of the trimmings. This tour consisted of riding in a large touring van (4WD description was slightly misleading) for 7 hours, mostly on gravel roads, with short stops to point out trees and livestock. There was no sheep farm tour, no 4WD like we were expecting (Jeep or ATV), lunch consisted of half a sandwich with a piece of banana bread that we ate in a lawn chair at the side of a road beside a settling pond. The guide was nice and did his best to pass on his local knowledge but I think even he was bored. Perhaps if you were in your 80's, this may have been enough but for us, it was a complete waste of a day.

We were not exactly sure how this was supposed to work. We told the guide that we preferred to spend more time hiking than on the boat. He was excellent and pointed out some options that would work for us and it turned out to be a wonderful day. Great people running this and a small boat so you're not crammed into a big boat with a lot of other people.

The trail itself was ok. Unfortunately a lot of the little artisan galleries along the trail were closed which would have made things more interesting. A great little coffee shop and good restaurants though.

An amazing ride. The electric bikes were a must for us...we couldn't have done it without them.

A truly unique experience. Our guides were fun and appreciated the warm drinks and food during the tour. The only down side was not being able to take your own pictures. They took some and you could buy them at the end, but let's say that photography is not their forte. :-)

This was probably our 2nd favorite accommodations of our trip (next to the tree house villas in Thailand). Ha long bay is such a sight to see and the cruise is very luxurious. The activities planned, just the cruising around the bay, amazing. Outside of the trip itself, the staff on Athena really make this magical. They were so nice, made a point to talk to you whenever they could. Highly recommend this cruise

Another excellent hotel, with an awesome location in Hanoi. The staff here went above and beyond. The rooms were small and it’s in a bustling area so depending on what time you go to sleep you will probably hear a lot going on outside. My wife didn’t feel like going to breakfast so I told the staff and they made her a nice little to go bag with coffee and pastries and such. Very sweet.

Great hotel, great location right on the beach. Didn’t have a lot of interaction with the staff other than check in but they were very nice. Room was standard but was okay for 1 night. Breakfast buffet was solid and the bar was nice.

This hotel wasn’t our favorite. The location wasn’t great , the room was mediocre (not like the picture above). Breakfast was lacking. Front desk staff and door man were very nice. The restaurant and bar staff not so much. I got food poisoning (or something) and my wife tried to bring me some plain bread from the breakfast buffet and she was treated very rudely by the staff. Initially told her no. The front desk then called and apologized. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

This hotel was okay. It was clean and the rooms were basic. Staff were very nice. It was pretty far off the beaten path (20 minute walk to the beach, 30 minutes to bangla road (if you’re into that). Traffic was horrendous and it was mostly better to walk everywhere.

This was our absolute favorite place we stayed during our 3 weeks between Thailand and Vietnam. Very romantic , private treehouse on a small island with a great beach (during high tide). Food was amazing, massages, drinks, accommodations , all excellent. Will definitely be back. I will say this is a very lowkey spot, not much else to do on the resort besides the beach and what the resort offers. There are plenty of excursions to jump off to but we were looking for relaxing time and this was perfect for us

Again, Thuy our guide made this day amazing. We saw so many different areas around Hanoi and she even made some changes so we could see the railway market and the trains arrival (which in my opinion was better than Bangkoks railway market). Thuy found us a great spot to have a drink and get a front line view of the arriving train. Hanoi was such a cool city, can’t wait to go back

Thuy our guide was fabulous! We started the day with a walking tour around old quarter. We stopped and tried so many local foods that were all delicious. She pointed us in the right direction for Pho dinner. The puppet show was unique and we really enjoyed it

Unfortunately the weather was terrible (not the tours fault obviously). This place is really unique but it was overly crowded, very foggy (couldn’t even see both hands in one picture). I think with better weather this would be a neat thing to experience and we will try again in the future. Our guide Rey was great and really showed us around and tried to make the day better despite the weather. Would try this tour again

This was something to see but I think it’s skippable. The weather for us wasn’t great , it was overly crowded. The cruise was cool and all but it looked just as cool watching from the side.

Do not miss this adventure! A full day of beauty. There are other tours like it I’m sure but we’d do John Gray’s again when we return. The staff as always were so inviting. The activities , the hongs, James Bone island (huge James Bond nerd), Krathong floating, plankton such a cool experience.

The tree house villas on Ko Yao were so inviting , elegant and peaceful. Exactly what we needed to break up all the tours. The romantic beach dinner ended up being so…romantic. Our server made the evening very special. The food was some of the best we had and the evening was just perfect.

What a special day! Getting so much interaction with the elephants , the bamboo float, the village people, the staff. All one of a kind. Highly recommend everything about this

Pat our guide was very funny and friendly. This was a long day and we didn’t really see a lot, the peak, a couple of pagodas. Doing it again we would probably shorten this day or skip it and spend more time in Chiang Mai. But it was still a nice experience

After a few full days days of tours and walking this was so needed. The spa and the staff were top notch. 2 hours went by so fast but was wonderful. This was the start of our massage journey. Many more followed
