Once I planned the trip I forwarded the information to Kimkim. From that point forward they chose the planned route based on my request. They picked the route along with, driver service and hotel options along the route. The travel route was chosen to minimize travel time and maximize exploration time. Our trip included visiting multiple historic sites. The Acropolis in Athens, Apollo in Delphi, Olympia, Nafplio and the island of Crete, where we visited Knossos palace and did a foodie tour in Chania. All of our guides were wonderful. My one complaint would be that we never knew what our guides name was until we meet up and at times it was really just by accident that we connected. Either we approached individuals to see if they were our guide or they approached us. Our driver service was great. The drivers picked us up at the given times and we were given advanced notice of any changes. I will definitely use this company again without hesitation. Thank you

This cottage was so cute , comfortable and relaxing. Michael, the owner was more than accommodating. Maria made us breakfast and Michael arrived every morning with fresh bread and some new and exciting Greek pie to taste . He also recommended restaurants in the area. Thank you Michael and Maria.

The Palace of King Minos and the House of Minotaur

Greg our guide, was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable that he made the whole tour very interesting . Everything in the museum was excavated from the site. The artifacts are amazing to see. It’s hard to believe that the palace was 5 floors, in places. The place where fact and mythology intersect.

Lacey planned everything so perfectly… we were well looked after by our guides and drivers and particularly in relation the airport transfers which can be daunting and stressful in a new country. Extremely responsive to any issues that arose which were minimal and dealt with professionally! Thank you Lacey!

Special mention to Toto ( Bangkok guide) and Pookie (Chiang Mai guide) who were absolutely amazing and treated us so well.., we would not have had the experience we did without them. The drivers also do such a fantastic job in stressful circumstances and kept my family comfortable and safe.

From start to finish, working with the KimKim team was easy and personalized. Giulia was so incredibly informative, responsive, and helpful every step of the way. Once we were actually on the trip, Marta and Valentina were available 24/7 via WhatsApp and helped us with a couple of small issues that arose. Both were due to things that arose on our end and nothing to do with any problems with the travel plan. They helped us make some adjustments and correct some mistakes we made allowing us to enjoy our trip stress free. Every hotel Giulia booked for us was absolutely perfect. We wanted boutique style accommodations and each hotel was unique and intimate. The hotels were each staffed with attentive, friendly, and helpful people as well as being immaculate in their cleanliness. The private drivers were absolutely indulgent, allowing us to travel the new country from the back seat of a luxury car with zero concern. Each one was timely, professional, and hospitable. The tours Giulia selected for us were exactly what we wanted and skipping the lines at incredibly busy places helped us make the most of our time. The train tickets and other travel arrangements were perfectly plotted and explained in our paperwork making our transitions from one destination to the next exceptionally smooth. This was a first class experience. I have only one tiny wish and that is for an itemized invoice when booking. Even so, I would recommend KimKim to anyone asking for a luxurious and pampering travel experience!

From the start of planning this trip, Elisa was always pleasant, punctual in her response, attune to the things we wanted to do while in Italy and made the trip with the transport to the various places we visited very easy. While we were in Italy when I had a question, she was always prompt in her responses and gave me assurances about aspects of the trip when needed.
We visited Milan, Lake Como, the QC Terme Spa which is a must when visiting Milan, Naples, Pompeii, Capri, Amalfi, Positano and Rome. Our local guide, Anna Maria, was wonderful in showing us the main areas of Milan and its history. We missed the Verona day trip as it was the first full day of our trip and we were quite jet lagged. It would've been better to have a free morning on that day and visit the QC Terme Spa that afternoon and visit Verona on the second full day. So switching those two days around would have been a better option. I loved Lake Como and would love to one day go back and perhaps stay overnight 1 or 2 nights to explore the lake and perhaps take a boat to Switzerland for the day. The local guide, Tatianna, was excellent in explaining the history of the town of Como. We were 4 nights in Milan and that seemed like the right amount of time.
We next traveled to Naples by train. It made everything so much easier to have the transport to the train station and the train tickets arranged ahead of time. We were 3 nights in Naples - a very different city than Milan - but nice in its own way. We especially enjoyed our pizza making class. Our driver, Francesco, was excellent. A pizza making class in Naples is a must. We took a day trip to Capri - another must do if visiting Italy. While there, be sure to take a boat ride to the Blue Grotto - so beautiful! And either walk up the steps or take the funicular up the higher level to see the beautiful views.
From Naples, we went to Amalfi, by private driver, again Francesco! We stopped on the way at Pompeii, where our local guide, Ivan, gave us an in depth tour of the ruins of Pompeii - an amazing place to see - and massive! The drive from Pompeii to Amalfi took a little longer than usual due to the overcast and rainy day. There were points in the ride where there was so much fog you could not see the car in front. Francesco was a careful and skillful driver and got us there safely.
We were 3 nights in Amalfi, but I think 2 nights would have been enough. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Elisa had arranged for a tour and lunch of Le Vigne di Raito, a small winery owned by two sisters. Alfonso gave us a tour of the winery and a short tour of the vineyard since the weather was not cooperating. Then we went us to the sisters' home where they had the veranda set for a lovely, delicious lunch as we sampled some of their delicious wine. So glad Elisa suggested this as part of the itinerary. It was a wonderful day! On the drive back, my driver, Ciro, made a stop at his family's cafe for the most delicious, he said the best, lemon cake. He was right - the best I've had so far! The next day, we took a day trip to Positano - beautiful, but, for us, a full day was too long a time to be there, so we booked an earlier ferry back to Amalfi.
Since our flight was from Rome in the early afternoon, we stayed one night in Rome - so we only had an afternoon in Rome. For me that was fine since I'd been there before. My son would have liked more time there. If I had thought about it a little and done a little bit of research, I would have stayed 2 nights in Amalfi and 2 or 3 nights in Rome.
The hotels we stayed at were nice.
In Milan - the Antica Locanda Leonardo - was an older hotel with a lot of charm. I especially liked that we had a small balcony that overlooked a lush courtyard where you could hear the birds chirping. It was centrally located, and I would recommend this hotel.
The hotel in Naples - Hotel Piazza Bellini - was a very nice, up-to-date, funky hotel - very comfortable rooms. We would've like to have a room with a nice view or even a balcony. We had a window that overlooked an alley and the back of other buildings. The hotel was very centrally located and the courtyard was very nice, so I would recommend it, but ask for a room with a balcony or view of the courtyard.
The hotel in Amalfi - Hotel Floridiana - had by far the largest room and largest bathroom. It had a very small balcony that overlooked the street and shops below. It was in the middle of the town and a short, 3-minute walk, to the water. Perfect location.
The hotel in Rome - Hotel Raffaello - was in a quiet part of Rome, outside the center of the city, but close to the train station - a 10-minute walk - which was ideal. The people there were very nice as was the breakfast there, as it was in all the other hotels at which we stayed. But - the hotel was under renovation - this was not ideal. The shower door in the bathroom did not seal properly so water would leak on the floor. I would've opted for a different hotel, but it was only one night, so it wasn't really a big deal.
It was a wonderful, easy trip, and I owe that to Kimkim.com and to Elisa for helping me plan it. I recommend Elisa and Kimkim.com and would use them for future trips overseas.

Our trip was amazing! Marc did a great job at everything he did. The guides, drivers and hotels were amazing and perfect!

Our local specialist, Eleni, was very knowledgeable about Italy and Greece and directed us to places we might not otherwise think to visit. She was quick with her responses and patient with all my questions. Our departing flight was canceled and we got delayed by a day...Eleni and KimKim took care of the changes we needed to make immediately and put together the documentation we'd need to file our insurance claim without me even asking. She knew exactly what to do. The local guides Eleni arranged were top-notch. Everything went exactly as planned and we didn't have any hiccups for two weeks of traveling. This was our second trip planned with KimKim. The thing we appreciate the most is the stress it removes from us during the trip. It's worth every penny to not wonder where to go or what to do. One of our favorite stops was at a small family vineyard in Nafplio, Greece. We also loved Pompeii...I'm so glad Eleni convinced me it was worth the stop.

Our guide was very sweet and knowledgeable but other than the olive oil tasting didn't provide much of anything we could experience just by going to restaurants on our own. We were hoping for more tastings and possibly meeting the chefs.

Pompeii was much larger and far more interesting than any of us expected. Our private guide was very knowledgeable and great with kids. We could've spent even more time here, we loved it so much.

This Peru trip for me was unforgettable. This is my first time using KimKim as well as Andean travels and everything was planned to perfection. From the suggestions made by Liz Karen to Lisabeth being very responsive to any needs that arose while I was in Peru, it was a very much stress free trip. All the drivers and tour leaders were amazing, knowledgable and timely. I had to change my plans multiple time and Liz was so accommodating to making any changes needed. Thank you so much for planning a great trip for me.

This was a great trip planned by Claire and her team. They planned a great itinerary, pairing interesting tours with plenty of time to roam the countryside. We appreciated the detailed information throughout, such as map links to make driving easy.

Highlights were the Middleton Distillery visit, the food tour in Kinsale, driving the Dingle Penninsula (definitely stop at the Fish Box and Murphy's Ice Cream), walking the full Cliffs of Moher (have good walking shoes!), and the Ballymaloe House! We also loved listening to live music at pubs throughout all the towns we visited.

Overall a wonderful and relaxing trip. 10 days simply wasn't enough!

We had an amazing trip to Spain and the team helped us ensure it was unforgettable. Highlights included the Taylor Swift concert in Madrid, a cooking class in Seville, and the Hammam baths in Grenada. Overall, we had an incredible time touring with the local guides, with special shoutouts to Juan and Gabriella for giving us authentic local experiences and recommendations.

Norway Vacation- Truely memorable experience was in Flam and the kayaking. The 3 hours we were on the water was spectacular. The hotel that we changed to was perfect since we did not have to look out to the cruise ships that docked on a daily basis.

The instructions provided were excellent and the vacation went smoothly with no incident. Weather did not cooperate on some days, rain showers for a good portion of the afternoon but we were prepared with rain jackets and umbrellas.

Having an emergency contact was a great comfort. We did not need to utilize

While Flam does not offer many options for accommodations, I am happy that we changed to this after researching. This hotel was situated away from the large cruise ships that dock. While you could still see the cruise ship, you were able to see the beautiful landscape. Breakfast and dinner were perfect, and the staff even went out of their way to prepare a vegetarian dinner for my daughter. Rooms were nothing spectacular, but we were outside more than inside.

the entire team on the ground in Greece was incredible. We knew where we were going at all times, we knew who our drivers were and had a very positive experience all the way around. We even had a couple of minor medical issues come up and the team was incredibly helpful in getting those resolved with local providers as needed. I will definitely recommend KimKim and BeAGreek to others as a fantastic service.

The trip was seamless from start to finish with Holden and Wilman’s help. They did a great job listening to my needs traveling as a mom with two little girls and each of our accommodations were outstanding, as were those of any local sights / restaurants to visit. Our tours were exceptional - Mariano was a great guide and very personable. We truly enjoyed the time with him tremendously as well as the pace he set for us, even stopping additionally for ice cream, lunch etc. Alex was also helpful and our guides in Manuel Antonio were fabulous helping us see the wildlife and taking exceptional photos / videos to take with us! Additionally each transfer/driver was punctual and got us to our destination on time.

Our trip was amazing and the first class service was like being in a 5 star hotel the whole trip.

Planning was so easy, Johanna answered all of my questions and adjusted the itinerary many times to fit our schedule. Amazing family trip in Cusco, Machu, Titicaca and Lima. Every guide (Emilia, Jose, Carlos) was amazing, knowledgeable and so passionate about their country. The hotels were just what we wanted - loved the Palacio (a gem) and the small/more modern unique ones (Casa de Sol and El Auberge were so lovely). The drivers were always there, on time, helpful and without a glitch - amazingly oiled machine. The tours were well organized - absolutely loved the Lima food one to end our trip. A few tiny glitches with the hotel reservations were quickly resolved and we even got an upgrade! Highly recommend Johanna and her team to organize your trip!

This is a top notch hotel, in an amazing building, feels like a museum - staff is amazing and always there when you need anything. The family suite was great for us (king + 2 doubles) - breakfast was the best part of the stay - great choices from all around the world + a la carte menu. The courtyards were a nice touch and the bar for sports super fun for watching the Champions league, spa really nice and relaxing after the flight and altitude readjustment.

This was our favorite hotel the entire trip - small but so quaint and in the middle of a botanical garden, sort of - the flora in the hotel was just spectacular. The rooms were just right with great shutters to get a great night sleep. The location, first a bit odd in the train station, but on second thought perfect to get on the train to MP and back to pick up bags. Staff, amazing and super helpful.

Great location to the pier to get to the islands. Staff very friendly, especially in the bar and restaurant. A bit chilly in the common areas but I think that is the nature of the hotel. The views from the patios in the morning were truly exceptional. Getting to the restaurant in the early am is a bit cold (different buildings and through outside) but not a big deal. Appreciated the games by the fireplace!

Sacred Valley Tour: Chinchero - Maras - Lunch at MV

The salt mines, Chinchero with the weavers and the Corpus Cristi celebration was so much fun - the lunch at the lodge with the alpacas and lamas was out of this world - excellent food in the middle of nowhere (literally) and the lamas walking into the restaurant were so natural.

This was by far the best, felt authentic (while clearly targeted for tourism to support the islanders) - Jose, our guide, was so knowledgeable, proud and ready to share. The lunch on Taquiles was the best fish we had in Peru and the view could be confused with Positano in Italy. The Uros islanders interactions were fun and real - and something we truly enjoyed.

Amazing end of our trip - while we thought we ate it all, Carlos sure had some aces in his sleeve. The food and the setting in the restaurants (Limara and the one by the ruins) were true gems, as was the market - we were worried we are not going to be able to eat anymore as the tasting menu was a lot of food. Really loved the variety, the interaction - make your own ceviche and the pisco sour demonstration and tasting. Truly well done - and we got to see a bit of Lima too!

Welcome to Puno: Free day

The 10 hour train from Cusco to Puno was unique and the train definitely quaint - however, 10 hours in a sitting position was a lot (half would have been enough) - but I get it - it's the geography :-) The food and service were top notch though.

We used kimkim to book a trip to Costa Rica (on a recommendation from a neighbor) and from the start to finish, it has been a wonderful experience! Holden was the local specialist from Serendipity Adventures who worked with us to come up with a high level itinerary and activities to do based on our interests, kids’ ages and his recommendations. I appreciate how flexible he was to make changes and adjust the itinerary/exercises when we changed our mind :) He was always around to answer any questions/concerns around the trip (for example: self drive vs. using private pickup/drop-offs), giving us all the options and impacts on time, cost, etc. Once we had confirmed the itinerary and the place tickets and made the payments, we were introduced to the Operations team of Wilman and Nancy from Serendipity Adventures. I was really impressed on how they were always accessible and available to answer questions, to give us gentle reminders, offer preparation tips and be the go-to support for the trip.

Our trip started with a hiccup when our flights had to be changed the day-of travel but just letting Wilman know the new flight details was all it took to ensure that our arrival in Costa Rica was smooth, without any more bumps. He and his team also helped to work with one of the hotels when we had some room issues and made the whole situation so smooth and less stressful. Wilman used to check in often to ensure that things were on track, communicate if a pick up was running late, gave reminders about upcoming activities or to request early breakfast! Really thankful to him and his team!

The hike guides (Mariano, Alex, Andres) and car drivers (Mariano, Alex) - were just great and really fun to talk with! We learned so much about the new country, its ways, the food and the amazing biodiversity with each of these individuals who enriched our experience, and ensured that we were safe, comfortable and had fun! All the activities that were organized with Holden’s help - the zip-lining, forest night tours, kayaking were great and thankfully the weather cooperated all along!

We wanted a low-stress, memorable family vacation in Greece to celebrate our daughter's college graduation, and Eirini and the KimKim team exceeded expectations! We shared what we like to do and Eirini created a perfect itinerary focused on the local food and culture with plenty of time to kick back with a book and relax. Highlights were the food tour of Naxos with Natasha, a wonderfully, enthusiastic guide and the walking tour of small villages with Stella who was amazingly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, giving us aromatherapy treats from obliging trees and introducing us to an adorable fennel-loving donkey. But all of our guides and activities, without fail, exceeded expectations, and the fellow travelers we met in our groups along the way only enhanced each experience. I very much appreciated not having to worry about the details and knowing Eirini and team were available to answer our questions, which they always did very promptly. Highly recommend Eirini and KimKim!

The whole trip was memorable. Tiago did an amazing job. We learned so much about the Country and History. I loved experiencing different regions and seeing beautiful beaches, wine country, Castles and Palaces. Food was wonderful. Tiago was patient, flexible and we enjoyed his company.

After trying to plan a multi-city visit to Norway on my own (a country I had never been to) that including small towns where my ancestors are from, I decided I needed to find someone who could plan it for us and found kimkim.

Veronika did a wonderful job of planning our trip, including the details of setting up taxi rides for us to take from a train to the hotel when needed (this was in multiple towns). And when we rented a car for a few days, she made sure the rental company was in walking distance of our hotel. When we just needed a quick overnight stay, the hotel she booked was within walking distance of the train station (it was even easy for my mother - who is in her 80s - to walk to it). When planning the trip, Veronika paid attention to the things we were interested in and also had suggestions for things we didn't know about but definitely fit our interests. She helped introduce Norway to us and we loved our time there.

The kimkim website did get a little confusing sometimes for where I was supposed to look for the information I needed while during the trip (when I didn't have the pages we printed out readily available). I was using my phone to look at the kimkim website and sometimes couldn't find the info at first, but would eventually find it. I somehow missed a message within the itinerary detailed section about contacting our tour guide ahead of time for the personal walking tour of Oslo. It was to let him know our interests and what we wanted to see. I only saw it right before we met up with our guide, Neil, but things worked out. We let him know some of the things we wanted to see, he made a few suggestions, and then off we went. He was a great guide and having just arrived in Oslo that day, totally unfamiliar with the city, he pointed out where we could find the places that we would be going to in the next few days and the best ways to get there. That was the only time I completely missed something on the itinerary during the trip, though.

It was really nice to have our tickets for the trains, museums, and tours all in one place that I could just bring up on my phone so we didn't have to keep track of papers as we traveled (unpacking and repacking) all over southern Norway.
