We really enjoyed our trip to North India (Golden Triangle). Booking/Planning was good and the team responded well to our change requests. There was a mix-up with the booking name, which was not fully resolved at the end, but did not cause any troubles. The local guides and our driver for the 10 days have been excellent and we had a superb experience. There could have been a few more activities, but this way it was a very relaxed trip.

Dean with KimKim laid out the perfect vacation for us. He asked us what we wanted to do, and then made it happen. Our guide Joe was personable and just an all around great guy. Knowledgeable about the areas and history, and got us where we needed to be on time. Will defiinitely use KimKim again.

My friend and I had the greatest trip to Norway! Tricia, our local specialist, really worked with us to understand our travel style and put together an itinerary that fit in everything we wanted to do.

We covered an incredible amount of ground in the Western Fjords and got to do some really cool things. My personal highlights were our food tour of Oslo with Stig and our visit to the Mollfarm in Geiranger. That was truly special. Those experiences gave me the opportunity to learn so much more than I could have in a museum. And, of course, the fjords were absolutely stunning.

All in all, I have never stressed out about a trip less. That in and of itself was a gift, but Tricia did such a great job putting together our itinerary. My friend and I said several times, "I think she's magic."

Thank you for a great trip. Now to come back in winter to see the Northern Lights...

A Taste of Norway's Culture and Cuisine

The food tour in Oslo was incredible! We got to spend time with locals and learn about Norwegian culture through its cuisine. While we didn't try anything too exotic, we did have fish sticks, which was probably the most unusual item on the menu. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience both educational and fun. I wouldn't recommend it to extremely picky eaters, but there are different tour variations that might suit different tastes. Overall, it was a memorable and enriching experience.

Home visit at the Møllfarm

Geiranger

The farm visit in Geirangerfjord was one of the highlights of the trip. We got to interact with locals and learn about their way of life, which was fascinating. This experience gave us a deeper understanding and appreciation of Norwegian culture that we wouldn't have gotten from just visiting museums. It was truly special and added so much value to our trip.

The kayak tour was quite the adventure! Unfortunately, we had terrible weather, which made the conditions really tough. Our guide was fantastic, though, and made sure we felt safe the entire time. Despite the rough conditions, it was an experience we laughed about afterward and had no regrets doing. It was a lot of work and maybe not ideal for everyone, but it gave us some great stories to tell.

My husband and I had a spectacular time on the Honeymoon Tour. First, our driver, Hamid, was incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind, and really made the trip so much better. We learned a lot about Berber culture and the desert towns from him as well as all the other cities on our itinerary. He knew the best ways to adjust the schedule when things came up (like the mosque in Casablanca being closed for prayers).

Second, this itinerary has it all: historical sites, cultural performances, natural beauty.
Our accomodations were beautiful. The Wanderlust team was very responsive when issues came up, as with the sandboarding. We never felt like we were on our own, which was a relief to us since we didn't speak the language(s).

Our visit to Fes was great, as was our tour guide. We learned so much about the history and handicraft of Morocco. I think I enjoyed Fes more than Marrakech. I did not know a person could be allergic to the Sahara until we got there. So much dust. But the dunes are beautiful, the camp we stayed at was lovely, and the guides were so friendly. We got lucky to have one clear night where we could see all the stars. It was amazing to visit the market, tour the oasis, and eat Berber pizza. May is very hot in the desert, so I'm glad we went before summer.

There was so much to this trip, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some things. The Roman ruins were neat. We went on a hike with a fun guide near Gorges Dades, and that was beautiful. We saw Ait Ben Haddou, which is still impressive despite the earthquake damage. We toured the Majorelle Gardens. We saw exciting new construction neighborhoods and gorgeous old historical neighborhoods. We drank strong coffee and refreshing mint tea. We managed to eat our way through many delicious dishes: tagine, tanjia, pastilla, tride.

We're thankful to this tour and our wonderful guides for making sure we had a great time in Morocco.

Well organized and Kristy is accommodating. It's an amazing trip but not so amazing because I got sick with salmonella and decided to cut my trip short. Kristy helped me change my flight and logistics to the airport.
I recommend this trip to other people. Food is great but didn't enjoy it because of unexpected health issues.

Miglé played a crucial role in organizing our family's trip to Iceland, celebrating our son's high school graduation. As first-time visitors, we were unsure how to begin planning, but Miglé helped us pinpoint destinations and activities that matched our interests. She provided a detailed daily itinerary and additional suggestions that enriched our experience. Highlights included kayaking at Jökulsárlón and snowmobiling at Mýrdalsjökull. All our accommodations were excellent, with Fosshótel Reykholt being a standout. We decided to skip some of the busier Golden Circle attractions in favor of hiking to Glymur Falls in the Botnsdalur Valley, which was breathtaking.

Miglé was always quick to respond to our questions and offered great restaurant recommendations for each location. The entire trip was filled with special memories that we will cherish forever.

Our private guide, Dylan Jones, showed us North Wales, then through the middle of the country, next along the coast, and, finally, to Cardiff. His knowledge of Welsh history, culture, interesting sites, and natural resources made the country come alive for us. From the beautiful Bodnant Gardens to the top of Mt. Snowden to a folk festival in Fishguard, he made the journey fun and interesting.

Most of the drivers/guides we had were amazing. One of them was lackluster, and did not seem to know what we had planned for the day. He also told us that he was called out as a last resort, which we thought was weird. John, the guide we had in Donegal was personable, knowledgable, and clearly loved meeting new people and teaching about Ireland. We took 2 walking tours in Dublin, and they were really fun. We got a great overview of the city, and got to eat and drink some Irish specialties. Overall the trip was very fun

We just returned from an amazing vacation to Norway planned by Linda. She incorporated all of my requests -to be away from crowds, on the water, and to be active both hiking and on the water. We travelled to Bergen, Fjaerland, Vaerlandet, and Lofoten and each offered stunning views and landscapes. The accommodations were perfect as well - quaint and personal. I would not have been able to organize such a trip myself or find such gems to stay. LInda was such a pleasure to work with. She was responsive both before and during the vacation to questions and requests. It was comforting to have that local person in country when we had a question. Again - fabulous trip. I would use KimKim again in the future!

Elena, our guide, did a fantastic itinerary for us that was not super touristy but also got us to see the special parts of each city. We had free time and also planned tours. Food tours were excellent! We had a Cesarine food experience in Florence in Barbara’s home which was just amazing!! What a delight! Our guide in Florence, Elvira, was phenomenal! We had most of our time well managed in Bologna, Turin, Verona, and Venice. However, we should have listened to Elena and stayed extra day in Turin instead of Bologna. We will definitely visit Turin again. It was beautiful and unexpected! All of the tours that were set up were either private or small group and worked well for us. Only slightly disappointing tour was Murano/Burano due to the fact that we didn’t have time to walk around much there. But it was still a great tour that I wouldn’t have anyone miss. The cichetti tour was something we would never have done or found and was super. I must say that all the tour guides that were chosen and the drivers, etc were excellent! We will use KimKim again for sure and would love to work with Elena again on our next trip to Italy! Thank you!!

Overall great. The sea experience was less than we were hoping. Would have preferred a snorkeling and scenery focused tour on a smaller boat. The Catamaran was huge with 60+ people more focused on the drinks and dancing to extremely loud music. The music lyrics were fine for young adults but not always appropriate for younger children. The larger boat of course anchored well offshore in deeper water so there wasn't much to see snorkeling. Towels were NOT provided as claimed in the overview so we had to drip dry. Rest of the tour was great. Got to see the less commercial towns and sights of the island with a knowledgeable guide.

Great planning. George, our general tour guide, was very personable and kept track of all of us. The coach driver did some tricky maneuvers to get us to our destinations.
The balance of free time and scheduled events was good. (We especially appreciated the free day in Athens at the end of the tour, since we missed the first day due to mechanical issues with a plane.)
The local guides were informative, but one of them had an accent that made it difficult to understand. The sailing day was excellent. We especially enjoyed the food tour. Sofia was friendly, spoke great English, and provided us with a private tour, because some of our group could not go on the trip. It was great learning about the history, culture, and food of Kalamata.
Finally, thank you for the gift bag in our last hotel. It was very generous and unexpected.

Our trip would have been better had we stayed in one town eg Ostuni and done day trips from there. It was quite exhausting moving every day. Our accommodation was excellent except for Alberobello where we were required to climb up a high staircase. As we had informed you, one of our group was incapacitated and this caused us much angst but luckily the 2 men in charge of the hotel came to the rescue & organised dinner for us in our rooms. Also none of our drivers had much English although I had asked for English speaking drivers. All our guides were wonderful. Also the only meal included was dinner on the first night, apart from breakfast every day. Don’t think I would rebook

From Cave Houses, Hot Air ballooning and underground cities in Cappadocia, to the Grand Bazaar and spectacular Mosques and Palaces of Istanbul to Troy and the Trojan Horse and finally the incredibly moving Gallipoli Peninsula where we experienced both the ANZAC and Turkish Memorials, I can’t say enough about this amazing country.
Our local specialist Berat put together ouritinerary with lots of consultation. Her communication was excellent and the guides and transport we had were 5 star. Special mention to Emrie in Istambul and Gallipoli. He was fantastic.

Our trip to Australia can be described in one word, exceptional! We have traveled with many companies like Tauck, Gate1, Viking, Oceania, Arctic Adventures, etc. This trip and its format is my favorite to date. It starts with the best travel agent or as Kim Kim calls it, Local Specialist we have ever had in 30 plus years of booking trips. Not only was she organized and communicative, she also very helpful and caring. She developed the perfect itinerary for us and our desires. Everything from Wine tours in the Barossa Valley and Ybarra to dinner under the stars in Uluru. We participated in feeding nocturnal animals at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and then received an extra gift of seeing the Aurora Australis!!! We took fast rib boats around the tallest sea walls in the southern hemisphere and snorkeled out on the Great Barrier Reef. Simply amazing. Being the shoulder season, the majority of our small group tours ended up being private tours which was an added bonus. Our accommodations on the trip were fun eclectic places that were all perfectly situated to be within convenient walking distance to everything you would want to see including a perfect view of Sydney Opera House from our hotel window, amazing. Speaking of amazing, we planned our trip 7 months in advance and everything went off perfectly from the drivers picking us up and dropping us off at the airport to all our tours, there was never a hiccup and everyone was on time, truly mindboggling!! Without a doubt, Paula will be my first call when I head back to the Southern Hemesphere because even with 23 days in country it was only a taste and I want more!!

Anita was excellent to work with and very responsive whenever we needed her. Slight delay in days when she was off, but within a short time another team member got back to us.

I always wanted to go to the Sahara desert in Morocco. My big birthday was coming up and so we decided to use the school half term to go on our trip and celebrate my birthday. We didn’t know where to start and a friend recommended we try KimKim.

I contacted KimKim and was allocated Majid as our main contact and a person who would help us plan our trip to Morocco. Majid was absolutely amazing. Within 24 hours he sent us a proposed itinerary which was very close to what we were looking for. We took a week or two to finalise the dates and make one or two tweaks to tailor the itinerary to our kids’ (ages 14, 12 and 7) energy levels. Majid was very helpful, willing to change the dates for us, make further suggestions and when the hotel he initially suggested wasn’t available, he found an even better one. He was always available to help, answer our questions, give us tips prior to departure and continued to be available to us throughout the trip, if we had any questions.

Once we arrived in Morocco, we were greeted by Mouad who came to pick us up from he airport and he was all smiles from day one. He took us to the hotel and was our main driver and guide through the trip. He was super knowledgeable, had a can do attitude, was always polite and friendly with the kids. He always checked in on how we were doing and worked with our energy levels. He made sure that our trip was special from the start to the end. He took us to Sahara desert where he was from and helped us to organise extra activities like 4 wheel drive, quad biking, sand boarding and a visit to Nomad tribe. My husband gave him an impossible task to find a gluten free birthday cake in the middle of Sahara desert and he did it! I had a magical birthday celebration at the Sahara camp and I could not have asked for anything more.

Morocco was absolutely amazing, the kids didn’t know what to expect but for everyone this ended up being one of the top vacations we have ever been on. There are still many places left to explore so helpfully one day we will be back. I would definitely recommend KimKim and especially Majid and Mouad to anyone that is considering going to Morocco. You will be in great hands.
